Was there ever a question? With his leftist bent, of COURSE the democratian would endorse a badge-happy social worker.

In my mind, there was never any question that the slime at the democratian were going to go with Gardner:  There number one rule is to endorse the democrat for any open seat, and Gardner is that.

Fortunately for us all, democratian endorsements lack a certain something around here that really, really, matters:

The ability to manipulate electoral outcomes.

They have none.  If they did, we'd still have Commissioner Boldt and we'd alsio have Commissioner Tanner.  And how'd that worked out for them?

Shane Gardner is an egotistical punk.  He'd be the perfect fit as Clark County Social Worker, but not so much as Clark County Sheriff.

He lacks the needed experience (His little-publicized selection for undersheriff, a retired sheriff who knows nothing about Clark County was a nod to that obvious fact but just served to re-enforce the lack of experience meme) he's ethically challenged, he's self-aggrandizing and he''s proven that he'll abuse his badge to get what he wants... and the democratian goes along as a willing accomplice.

Gardner screws up... Again.(Updated)

First of all, when I eliminate candidates from my consideration, it's because of either the strategic aspect (Sorry: there's no way a Republican can win in the neo-communist 49th District.  I wish there was sometimes, but it's just not going to happen.) or because of something they do, or something they are.

Shane Gardner has shown himself as to be exactly what we DON'T need for a sheriff.  Criminals are NOT "knuckleheads."  It's not his job to run a stick through the psychological entrails of our local criminals:   I don't care... nor should he... what makes them tick.  That's not his job.

This moron actually blamed the police in Ferguson, instead of the rioters.

Another reason to vote for Atkins: memo to Shane Gardner - the RIOTERS are responsible for this.

His job should be to lock up the bad guys.  And if I'm in need of a Deputy, I want a COP, not a social worker.

Gardner got voted off my island because of his ego, his immaturity, his self-aggrandizement. and his lack of maturity.

Should Shane Gardner be campaigning while wearing his badge, gun and vest?

I discovered, quite inadvertently, that the decision had been made by the powers that be that they were going to back Gardner as far back as 3 years ago, after they gave him that PR splash for flashing his badge so despicably all over New York City to horn in on the 9/11 ceremonies in that city.

I figured the jig was up when the Columbian lied about the SOURCE of the pictures they used.

Why are pictures provided by Shane Gardner called "file photos" by the Lazy C?

The source was Shane Gardner.  The democratian called them "file photos."  Gardner obviously has someone highly placed in the rag... owner, maybe?  Who determined that he was going to be Gardner's guy to help launch his soon to be abortive political career.

The left has coalesced around this clown: claiming to be an "independent," he has done everything he can to get democrat support.  He's been raped by his consultant (financially, of course) who is a fringe-left whack job and a former charter-shilling freeholder... but one of the darlings of the leftist downtown mafia.

The case AGAINST Gardner is clear.  And, when compared to Chuck Atkins, there is no case FOR Gardner.  And like most democratian endorsements, this stands as yet another reason to vote against this clown... which I and my entire family are going to do.

A response to my Gardner post: I'm told I've got it all wrong.

The other day, I was in Billigans and who do I see, larger than life in front of the reception counter in the foyer?

Why, Shane Gardner.

I knew it was Gardner because he was wearing his vest with a big 'ol "SGT GARDNER" on the front in case anyone didn't know who he was (a vest that came complete with a badge) and his cannon.  He was, in my estimation, doing that campaign thing, because he was rather loudly discussing the fact that two-time sheriff's candidate and democrat Tim Shotwell has endorsed him.

He was talking to a woman there.  I was roughly (by estimate) 15 feet away, and I clearly heard them.

As a result of what I saw and what I heard, I did a post on this blog and on Facebook, questioning why Gardner would, in effect, campaign while dressed up like he was going on a SWAT raid in a restaurant.

Apparently, I've upset some people with that post.  I received, 4 times, the following response, which I have to accept as a matter of faith (Since I really have no way to verify it) that it came from the woman in question.

Here, in its entirety, unedited, is that response:
I would like to respond to this silly and inaccurate blog with some facts that I know to be true. My name is Denise Valtierra, I work at the Sheriff’s Office and Shane is my best friend. Yesterday, Shane met me at Billygan’s to have lunch, as friends sometimes do. During the course of our lunch (that Shane is entitled to by state law), we discussed our families, my new job, church, baseball and yes, campaign events from the past week. I believe, that since Shane was off the clock, any and all of these topics were acceptable, regardless of his attire. I have worked at the Sheriff’s Office for nearly 8 years and have never once seen a deputy remove his badge, vest or gun to eat lunch at a restaurant. If they did so, wouldn’t the public be mad when the responding officer were 6 minutes later to their call because they had to re-dress when being called out during their meal? To say that Shane was “campaigning” is also incorrect. Shane already has my vote so no campaigning or swaying was occurring at our table. I found it interesting that while eavesdropping on our conversation that you neglected to mention the part, in your blog, about where I asked Shane for more campaign items and he told me he couldn’t transport them in his work vehicle, on the county’s clock. He has been very cognizant of not blurring those lines since announcing his candidacy and for you to say otherwise is ignorant. I also find it offensive that you feel you need to tell the readers of your blog who and whom not to vote for based on something you deemed inappropriate. Do you not believe your readers intelligent enough to gather the data, analyze it and then make their own informed decision? Luckily for Shane, there are many savvy, educated voters in Clark County so this blog will not interfere with his goals. Thank you in advance for publishing this as I know that you want the record to be accurate.
I admit to some level of confusion:  my blog is "silly and inaccurate," so I was, initially, unsure why this person would respond at all.  I mean, this IS the blog that nobody reads, but everyone gets upset about... right?  And since no one reads my "silly and inaccurate" blog, why does it matter if it's accurate or not?

But here's what I know:

Gardner was standing in the foyer of a local popular restaurant looking like he was going out on a raid, talking about which democrat had endorsed him.

In my time in the military, I, too, wore a vest, a gun, a rifle, a pack, hand grenades, canteens and so forth.  If it took me "6 minutes" to strap all that on when it was needed, then where would I or any of the others be?

I have seen many, many police officers who were detectives in restaurants without looking like they were hitting a cartel drug house.  This crap is as disingenuous as Gardner's politically motivated, so-called "non-partisan" shtick.

Shane Gardner is many things, but stupid isn't one of them.  Claiming "non-partisanship" when you seek partisan support is hypocrisy of the highest order.

Unless Gardner was, at that moment, heading out to serve a warrant, then he shouldn't have looked like an extra on CSI New York... and he should not even mention anything campaign related when he is dressed up like that.

Who people vote for or don't vote for is entirely their business.  I state an opinion... which is perfectly within my rights to do... and this major Gardner supporter denigrates me for it.

And that goes to the heart of the matter.  You can, I'm told, tell a great deal about a candidate by the support they draw and the people around them:  The people Gardner is going after to support him for the most part are not people, with few exceptions, that I respect or admire.  That the person who sent this to me chooses to denigrate my effort to express an opinion merely because she disagrees with it (Does anyone believe for one moment if I were a rabid Gardner supporter and had written something like this about, say, Atkins, that this woman would have written me this way, or in this style?) is the thing.

I don't want a sheriff who "thinks" this way.  I want a sheriff who locks up the bad guys... not a social worker who filters out the "knuckleheads."  And this kind of thing is what kills the deal for me when it comes to Gardner.

I invite disagreement.  I provide an open forum for it as long as it isn't based on partisan hatred (C3G2 types come to mind, for example) and anyone who disagrees with me will get the opportunity to state their disagreement, as this opportunity was provided here.

Simple, really.

Do we REALLY want a privileged, badge-happy Sheriff? Shane Gardner and "special treatment."

Readers are aware of my growing disdain for Social Worker Shane: a cop that doesn't view criminals as criminals and who has a problem being in campaign mode while he wearing his police equipment looking like a one-man swat team in restaurants.

And then, add this to the mix:

On the ten year anniversary of the 9/11 Attack, Gardner felt it necessary to go to New York.  Which is fine: had I been able to afford it, I might have done the same.

It's what he did there that angered me then and angers me now: he used his badge to gain entrance into places the rest of us couldn't go... even though he was nothing more than a tourist.

For whatever the reason, the local daily democrat newsletter was thrilled.  Why the waste of wood pulp believed Gardner's hijinks rose to the level of "news" is a mystery to me.

I, on the other hand, was appalled.  This is completely in keeping with the Shane I've seen in action.  Here's the article: judge for yourself.

Sheriff’s sergeant, pals join 9/11 ceremony

2 Australian officers, local man help read names at service

Australian police officers Greg Bishop, from left, and Michael Ackery, and
Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Shane Gardner traveled to New York City this
month to pay respects to first responders who died in the Sept. 11 terror attacks. ()
By Paul Suarez, Columbian web producer
Published:
When two police friends from Australia told Sgt. Shane Gardner they were flying 25 hours to be in New York for the 10-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks and asked him if we would be willing to fly five hours to join them, he couldn’t say no.
Gardner, of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, booked a red eye with frequent-flier miles in January and made arrangements for the three of them to stay in a studio apartment near Central Park.
The trio were determined to make it to Ground Zero on the big day to pay respects to those who lost their lives in and because of the attacks.
“It’s a monumental occasion for law enforcement around the world,” Gardner said last week, back in Clark County.
The only problem: The site where the twin towers once stood was under heavy guard and the National September 11 Memorial was closed to everyone except family members of the attack victims.
That didn’t stop them from trying. And with a little bit of determination and people skills they were able to visit the memorial on the anniversary and meet three families of first responders who died.
 Was Gardner a "family Member?"

No.

So what made him think he was so special he could break the rules and ignore the restrictions placed on everyone else?

His badge.

Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Shane Gardner poses at the National September 11 Memorial
in New York City with the widow of Ramon Suarez, who died in the attacks.
Gardner read Suarez’s name at the 9/11 memorial service.()
“It’s crazy what happened,” Gardner said. “If there’s anything I learned this past week, it’s you keep your eyes open for opportunity.”
No, what you learned reinforced your arrogance.  You used your badge to do, and get into, places that neither I nor anyone else could have gone.
That opportunity came from his two friends, Michael Ackery and Greg Bishop of the Queensland Police Department, whose Australian accents attracted attention.
“Them being in America with their accents opened doors,” Gardner said. “It’s about building relationships with people.”
So, ANY Australian could have gotten in while us mere citizens could not have?

It was the badge, again, which Gardner apparently sees as an admission ticket to events the rest of us could not get into.
On Sept. 11, they went to a memorial ceremony at a police precinct near the apartment they were staying at. Turns out, an officer that the Australians met earlier in their visit was calling the shots at the service and invited the three to join in formation.

Getting involved

They were handed names of officers who died that day to read at the service. The ceremony started at the time the first plane hit the first tower, Gardner said.
He read the name Ramon Suarez.
Gardner decided he would learn as much as he could about Suarez when he returned home so he would be more than a name.
After the ceremony they declined an invitation to get a drink with the local police. They said they were heading to Ground Zero.
Even though everyone they ran into said there was no way they would get in, they didn’t want to travel that far without trying, Gardner said.
The three, along with a former NYPD officer, made their way towards the site. An on-duty officer let them past a barricade but an entrance guarded by event planners and a metal detector still stood between them and their goal.
Again, it was the badge as admission ticket.  What kind of arrogance is that?

Ground Zero

Gardner’s Australian buddies “chatted it up” with another on-duty officer who advised them to try to get in through the exit, which was guarded by police officers, not event planners, he said. They walked over and got through.
More badge as ticket.  This is a disturbing sense of entitlement.
They were backstage at Ground Zero on the morning of Sept. 11. “We had planned on this since January and were finally standing at Ground Zero,” Gardner said. “We were just trying to drink it all in.”
Even though, had he been any one of us, he wouldn't have been allowed in.  We don't have badges, you see.
The three were mindful of the families that “needed to be there” and weren’t looking for special treatment, Ackery said.
Which is a lie on it's face.  Had they not used their badges, they wouldn't have been allowed to go where they went or to do what they did.

What else is that if it isn't "special treatment?"
“I think we’re the only guys who crashed the place,” Gardner said.
Which is likely because other officers were mindful of their position and that, when they are away from work, they're no different than any of the rest of us.

Meeting families

They heard Paul Simon play “Sounds of Silence” and met an officer who lost a friend in the attacks. Turns out the officer’s friend was Paul Taulty, the name that Bishop read at the ceremony. The officer introduced the group to Taulty’s family. They talked a bit and were thanked by the family for coming so far to pay tribute.
After that they looked for the name that Ackery read on the memorial, Santos Valentin. They found it and a man making a rubbing of the name was Valentin’s nephew. He introduced the three to Valentin’s mother, who didn’t speak much English. Her nephew translated the group’s story.
Her response stuck with Gardner. “She said, ‘God bless each of you,’” he said. “There were hugs and crying again.”
Gardner said it was time to find “his family.” He turned around and found a group of people wearing white T-shirts with the name Ramon Suarez printed on them.
He introduced himself, shared the story again and was introduced to Suarez’s widow.
“We had a personal connection to it because of the memorial service,” he said. “We were blown away.”

Trip of a lifetime

The group also managed to talk their way into sitting backstage at the David Letterman show, met actress Brooke Shields after a play, talked with Paul Simon after his performance, ran into “Law & Order: SVU” actor Richard Belzer while he was walking his dog, got tours around town and through a fire station and bumped into Charlie Chon, a friend of Gardner’s who is from Vancouver.
Nope... no "special treatment there, eh?
When asked which part of the trip was most memorable, Ackery said it would be like choosing which of his kids he loves best.
“It’s all been amazing,” Ackery said in an email. “Shane describes the time we spent in NYC perfectly as the musical without music.”
Yeah.  And his badge was his instrument.  He played it like a violin.
He said it was an honor to take part in commemorating Sept. 11.
“Reading the name of my fallen officer on parade at the 6th precinct was a moment of extreme pride and sadness for me,” Ackery said. “To meet his family was an honor and when his mother put her arms around me I instantly hugged her back as if she was my Mother and in a way I would hope Santos would have embraced my Mum if his and my roles were reversed.”
Bishop and Ackery are staying with Chon while they continue to explore the East Coast.
Gardner returned to Clark County last week. He plans to take his family to Australia next year to visit the officers.
This may be swell for the leftist cult surrounding Shane, who's playing political games and trying to get votes from all over the spectrum by falsely claiming the job of Sheriff should be "non-partisan," as an overt political ploy, but it sickens me.

I don't want this kind of ego as my sheriff or anywhere else in my government.  And that is why I am voting against Gardner and I urge you to do the same.

Gardner screws up... Again.(Updated)

Shane Gardner voted himself off my island months ago, between his badge ego-mania at Ground Zero in New York on the 10th anniversary, his coordinated campaign with the democratian, his wearing of SWAT equipment while campaigning in a restaurant, his bizarre effort to blame the Ferguson situation on the police there.

Any one of these is reason enough to vote against Gardner.  All of them combined make it absolutely imperative.

As I have stated many times... I want a COP running the Sheriff's Office here.

If someone wants to run for Clark County Social Worker, than they should announce for that.

Gardner's on the ropes.  His fringe-left support by CRC Scammers like Jack Burkman and Jim Mains (Both rabid CRC and Charter scammers) is not nearly enough to get him elected.  His ego and immaturity makes him unsuitable for the running of this department in a thriving, growing county... well, except for the stagnant part run by the Vancouver Soviet.

That fringe-leftists and charter scammers support Gardner should be a definite red flag.  Why are they so hot to support someone unsuited to run the Sheriff's office by education, experience and a lack of maturity?

I have no idea.  But from what I know of him personally, hiring someone for undersheriff who isn't from here as a way to stave off the true observation that Gardner is unqualified to run much of anything doesn't give me confidence.  Instead, it serves to reinforce the negative comparison between Chuck Atkins who DOES have the education and experience to run a department and, well, someone who doesn't.

So, you might be wondering how ol' Shane grabbed this guy.  Do you suppose it could be... this?

According to Rob Gordon's own Linkedin page he's currently a Manager-inmate communication provider at Telmate.  Telmate has the Clark County jail contract for jail phone calls.

Gardner supporter Commander Mike Anderson, is the Jail's in-house liaison with Telmate.

Coincidence?

Who would have thought that hard core progressive like Shane Gardner would be so hot to use the good ol' boys network to get a shill to provide him with the experience chops he so obviously needs... but does not have.

I'm reminded of another disastrous leader, wholly unqualified to run much more than a lemonade stand, becoming president.

Why did Obama pick Joe Biden for VP?

And what a complete and utter disaster that's been, eh?

Gardner's selection of Rob Gordon for undersheriff, who quit his job In Oregon in part because of changes in their  retirement system, combined with a "lack of energy," is a purely political move that was poorly thought out, serves to underscore Gardner's lack of qualifications and which will likely blow up in his face.  Further, the idea that we wouldn't have an undersheriff who could hit the ground running is short-sighted and actually, rather embarrassing in its desperation.

Eat your Wheaties, carpetbagger.  You're gonna need it.

Another reason to vote for Atkins: memo to Shane Gardner - the RIOTERS are responsible for this.

I get it.  Shane Gardner doesn't want to be County Sheriff.  He wants to be the County Social Worker.

I've nailed Gardner over his narcissism and his abuse of his badge.

Not letting a "good crisis go to waste," in the words of Obamaite Rahm Emanuel, Gardner felt compelled to babble about something he knows nothing about: namely the idiocy of rioters destroying their own community in Ferguson.

See, here's the thing: I want a Sheriff who would, under the circumstances, be concerned with one thing and one thing only: restoring order.

Dozens, if not hundreds, of people are killed in Chicago over several weekends on a regular basis.

Where's his facebook post on THAT?

Gardner, who's never ran anything bigger in a police department then, relatively speaking, a popsicle stand, thinks he's got the answers.

And to prove it, he links to an article written by a Canadian editorialist, who knows as much about police work as Gardner does about performing brain surgery... That writes about an article authored by a Brit 200 years ago at a time when that author could not possibly have conceived of the convoluted thought process that would lead a candidate for county sheriff to blame the police for a Ferguson situation...

The inference is clear... and despicable: If Gardner were the head guy in Ferguson, none of this would have happened.

Well, here's the thing: Gardner doesn't know any more about minorities than he does humility.  And he's possessed of neither.

Those responsible for the rape of those businesses that have been destroyed...stripped and denuded... are not the police of Ferguson.

There is, in fact, precisely ZERO excuses for the reaction of the rioters.

None.

From a strategic perspective, those at fault for allowing this to spin out of control are those who were best situated to put a stop to it.

The Governor should have sent the Guard in THAT NIGHT.  He SHOULD have implemented a curfew THAT NIGHT.  And it STILL should be in place.

And to restore order from these criminals, I really don't give a damn if the police use an Armored Cavalry Regiment.  (I can suggest a few, if asked.)

In times like these, the ONLY job of police forces is to protect the innocent.  These scum doing all of this damage and stealing everything not bolted down didn't need the death of this thug as a reason to destroy what many have worked their entire lives to build up.

And Gardner, who I'm beginning to question as to whether or not should even be allowed to wear a BADGE, let alone be the County Sheriff... expresses no concern whatsoever for the victims of these scum who rob and pillage... while inferring that it's the fault of the police since those rioting are, obviously, incapable of controlling themselves when it comes to the ability to rip off the latest Nikes or steal a big screen.

All in Brown's memory, to be sure.

Despicable.  And yet another reason the "Shane Train" is derailed.

As it should be.

Why are pictures provided by Shane Gardner called "file photos" by the Lazy C?

File photos?  Really?  They had these laying around the office on a hard drive?

Bull.  Gardner or someone with him gave these pictures to the Lazy C, and you can point to this disgrace as the start of his campaign.

Jim Mains crushes the "Lie Zone."

Since he's a leftist and a charter member of the downtown mafia, the local rag loves to quote Jim Mains on all things political.

Apparently, they failed to review his record in this most recent election.  Otherwise, they would have noted that his challenge candidates got clobbered.  Worst of all was Shane Gardner.

Now, Mains came to my attention in 2012 while he was driving my brother-in-law, Marc Boldt's campaign into the ground.

I opposed Marc's re-election for reasons listed in detail in other posts within this blog.

While that would have been huge news anywhere else, this rag didn't want the population of this county to know that I was opposed to Marc getting another term, and that I had been for quite some time.

That knowledge would have hurt him badly enough that he wouldn't have survived the primary... and the rag couldn't have that.

So, as a consultant to Marc's Titanic, Jim Mains was apparently asked why I would oppose Marc since I had made no bones about it on this blog and had done so for months before the election.

His response?

Something to the effect that I opposed Marc because Madore was paying me.

I get that he had to say SOMETHING.  After all, to say anything else would have been to actually bring the real reasons I oppose Marc to the fore, and man... the left just couldn't have that, could they?

That was a lie, of course, but it's the kind of thing he does.

However, since he's the democratian's bitch and supports all of their candidates, issues and projects, they naturally go to a sock puppet who will tell them precisely and absolutely what they want to hear.

Like this tripe:
If the pendulum is swinging to the right, many view Madore as one of the people responsible. He spent freely in 2012, primarily on his own campaign, and continued to do so in 2014.
That's a frightening sign for Democrats, who may have trouble matching big-money donations moving forward.
"(When) any individual is willing to spend that much money to influence the outcome of an election, we should all be concerned," said Mains, who works with both Republican and Democratic candidates.
I like the acknowledgement that Mains will work for anybody with a buck, and that political integrity really doesn't play all that much in his universe.

I missed Mains' squeals of outrage over the hundreds of thousands of Tom Steyer dollars dumped in to buy Inslee the Senate.

He must have slid his outrage about Monica Stonier getting hundreds of thousands of dollars from the WEA in her losing effort to stay in office.

And I missed his cries of outrage over the $3.5 MILLION Suzan DelBene spent to buy her congressional seat.

But as one of the C3G2 haters, he's not going to pass up a chance to take a shot at Madore... particularly knowing as I do that had Madore spent all that money on democrats, neither Main not any other C3G2 hater would have had problem one with it.

Shane Gardner never stood a chance of winning.  But you can bet that's not what Jim Mains was telling him as he was raping his campaign checkbook.

Add this to his idiocy:
Mains said: "Another reason the charter helps smaller areas (is), districts can elect someone without spending a lot of money."
That's utter nonsense.

There's no amount of money the downtown mafia wouldn't spend to get whoever they own elected to office.  And when the balance of the "council" is at stake, it will be just as, if not more, expensive than it is now.

Is it any wonder that his new candidates had a better chance of winning the lottery than they did winning their elections?

And this kind of hypocrisy?

Well, I'd say it's just par for ol' Downtown Jimmy's meme.

Tuesday, June 03, 2014

In the Sheriff's race, it seems like Atkins by default.

At this point, it all seems to be a matter of degree.

I'd already eliminated two from my consideration (Ed Owens (Get your 11-year-old stepdaughter to take the fall for the death of your 3 year old who shot himself with YOUR gun?  Really?) and John Graser, who has been out of the LE biz for some 16 years and seems to be looking for a pension bump.)

That leaves Shane Gardner and Chuck Atkins.

I've never met Shane Gardner.  I was leaning his way until I happened to be at a local business where he was holding a fundraiser and I had a chance to observe a couple of his supporters.

The problem I'm having is, we're told, you can tell a lot about a candidate by those drawn to them as supporters.

We're told that... right, Lefty?

So, the first warning sign I see is Jim Mains.

Mains is the mastermind behind Marc Boldt's utterly abysmal commissioner campaign in 2012.  Among other things I'm told is that Mains, explaining my opposition to my brother-in-laws re-election, claimed that David Madore was actually paying me to oppose Marc on this blog.

Of course, Mains, to the best of my knowledge, has never uttered a word to me and certainly never called me to ask that.  But it provided an explanation that he believed would cast Marc Boldt in the best possible light and me in the worst.

That it wasn't even remotely true made no difference.

Combine that with the fact that Mains is one of the fringe-left haters who foisted the charter scam on us that he's using to undo the voice of the people, shouted so loud in the November 2012 election, and that he was a big time CRC Scammer... and, well, that's a deal-breaker right there.

Add to that the list of other well-known fringe leftists and in most cases, CRC Scammers... Galina Burley, Anne McEnerny-Ogle, Noland Hoshino, Nelson Holmberg, Bart Hansen, Larry Smith, Alicia Topper, Ty Stober, Dean Sutherland, Deb Wallace and the like and, well, frankly... I don't want him elected to dogcatcher. There are others that concern me on that list... but these scream as reasons to not only vote against him, but to scream out loud while doing it.

And that leaves Atkins.

I don't care about the fact that it seems everyone with a badge who's ever lived endorses this guy.  He's been at the executive level in the CCSO for quite awhile now, so such a claim is not particularly impactful to me: that's the nature of politics.

But so far, I can't find anything that rises to the level of a reason not to vote for him. At this point, for me, he's the only one I haven't been able to vote off the island.

Time will tell, of course... but right now, he looks like the guy.

Sunday, August 31, 2014

Looks like the early results are in: Gardner's money has dried up.

Here we are on August 31st, and for the entire month of August, Shane Gardner has raised $200 from 4 donors... all related to each other.

$200.

Was it the abysmal results of the election?  Was it the reveals that Gardner is a badge-happy jerk?  Was it his narcissism of walking around in his SWAT Team uniform, campaigning?  Was it moving towards confirmation that he's running to be the Clark County Social Worker instead of the Clark County Sheriff?

Whatever.

This is the worst fundraising month for anyone who's made it to the general here locally.  Abysmal doesn't seem to cover it.

I'm not saying that Chuck should be measuring for the drapes just yet... but he should be looking at color swatches.

Meanwhile, the Shane train looks like it ain't leaving the station.  And while that might upset his leftist buddies... well, this entire election is going to suck for them no matter what.

Just sayin'.

So... who and what am I voting,.. against? (Includes out of district votes if I COULD vote)

The who:

1.  (WA03-Congress) Both Dingethal AND Herrera.

Neither are fit to represent a banana to a monkey.

2.  (17th District Pos 1) Monica Stonier.

I don't give a damn what she claims she's done: a vote for Stonier is a vote for the Seattle-centric House leadership that bends us over every hour on the hour.  She's offered nothing to address our cross-river transportation issues except the petulant-jerkism of local democrats pouting over the "loss" of their CRC/Loot Rail Scam.

3.  (17th District Pos 2) Neither McClusky OR Harris

Paul Harris has been a huge disappointment to me.  He's done nothing to help Lynda Wilson get elected and, in fact, I've heard he's sabotaged that effort to an extent because of the belief that at some point, Benton is going to resign from the Senate and that he wants what he'd consider to be unfettered access to the appointment to Benton if that happens.

I don't want either of them in my Legislature.

4.  (18th District Pos 1)  Neither Briggs OR Vick.

Vick has been a colossal waste of space.  The Columbian slavishly endorses him  because he stayed out of the CRC fight, not unlike the clueless moron we have representing us in Congress.  He's lied about his committee assignments in a stunt designed to make up for the entire first year he mailed it in and accomplished nothing after he was, unfortunately, elected.

Briggs is just a blithering, fringe-left idiot.

Neither one of them should be elected gas station attendant.

5.  (18th District Pos 2)  Bully Winningham

Perhaps THE biggest liar to ever run for office locally, and arrogant narcissist who knows as much about policy as she does brain surgery.  An executive for a multi-national that has outsourced as many as 50,000 jobs, Maureen Winningham STARTED her campaign with lies and went downhill from there.

She's not politically fit to be a crossing-guard.

6.  (49th District)  Nothing with a democrat label.

Molehill Moeller puts the F in fringe-left nutter.  Sharon Wylie isn't much better.  Neither have any interest in addressing cross-river transportation issues: thus, they are worthless.

7.  (County Commissioner Pos 3)  Pridemore

Craig Pridemore has run for, and failed to make it into the general election 2 out of the last 3 cycles, including an abysmal effort as a congressional candidate and another for state auditor.

As a father of the CRC Scam, he's proven there's no lie he won't tell, and like every other democrat running, he's obsessive about the horrific CRC/Loot Rail scam.  He doesn't care what we think, and has total buy-in to Steve Stuart's disregard for the will of the people, now legendary, albeit truthful.

No one should EVER be elected to anything, when those they would govern cease to be the reason they're there.  And Pridemore's rabid devotion to the CRC Scam disqualifies him from office.

8.  (Treasurer) Doug Lasher

Lasher's been treasurer since the dawn of time (30 years.) Even if he HADN't been losing us money, it would be time for him to go.

9.  (Sheriff) Shane Gardner

The list of reasons to vote against this guy is both long and distinguished.  At this point, Gardner, the alleged (fake) "independent" has done all he can to get democrat party support. Scum like Jim Mains are sucking his campaign cash dry and working hard to get their fellow leftist nutters on board the Lame Brain Shane Train.

He's lucky to have a badge, let along become our sheriff.  Don't waste your vote.

10.  (Prosecutor) Josie Townsend

I am not going to oppose someone because of the letter after his or her name.  In this case, I'm not going to support someone, either.

Yesterday, I attended a fundraiser for democrat Tony Golik who I had strongly opposed back in 2010.  It is the first democrat fundraiser I have attended in the 26 years I've been politically active.

His actions while in office have earned our trust.  I don't know Josie Townsend from Adam.  But if Golik is doing a good job... if any of these people are doing a good job, then they shouldn't be rewarded with political enmity.

11.  I've got nothing on county clerk or assessor.

The whats:

1.  Absolutely against the WEA's latest rob us measure, I-1351.

The biggest scam in a history of emptying our wallets for classroom prima-donnas who contribute so much to our 30% drop out rate.

Not only "no," but HELL no.

2.  The gun-grabber initiative, financed by a bunch of out of state scum who don't live here, I-594.

This is going to turn my into a criminal because I am cheerfully going to ignore this idiocy if it passes.

Add this to the HELL no file as well.

3.  The partisan-hate Proposition One: the Charter scam.

Written for an by those who hate the elected conservatives on the county commission, among other reasons to vote "no" include Marvin Case's analysis in the Reflector.

Partisan hatred will never be an adequate reason to rape our current governmental system.  There is absolutely nothing to recommend this hack job, this hissy fit against the conservative majority on the county commission.

Three for three on the "Hell no" list.

Friday, September 26, 2014

September has been a tough month for the Lame Brain Shane Train.

Left to the sad device of having donors split donations with family members to show fake support, even then, the Gardner Campaign has only reported at total of 9 donations for the entire month of September... and 3 of those are from split families, so, that true number is actually six.

Gardner is, effectively, not only broke but in the hole, as of the last expenditure report (Gardner has raised $35,800 in cash but spent well more than that, but since he hasn't reported any September expenditures and Mains is wasting most of his money on a losing campaign, the number has got to be higher than that.) seriously in debt.

Clearly, Gardner's fund raising letter was either an abysmal failure or he hasn't bothered to report the results.  Either way, it's clear he has a better chance of winning the lottery than he does putting $50G together.

Meanwhile, the presumptive sheriff-elect, Chuck Atkins, has a somewhat different story to tell:

Donations: 57.  Split family donations: 1.

Even Betty Sue Morris and Tony Golik have donated to Chuck Atkins' campaign.

Chuck has raised $80,000 in cash.  He's showing about $20,000 on hand.

At this point, the clock is winding down, and it's like the Shane Train ain't got no coal, no tracks and no where to go.

Likely local outcomes in the general.

County races:

Clerk - Weber.

That I'm not voting for him doesn't mean others won't.  I tried to warn him to actually act on his campaign promise of eliminating his job as an elective position, but he failed to do that.  None the less, even the fringe-left democratian has pointed out that "He has performed the job well and has done nothing to embarrass his office."

In short, except for his party affiliation, they find nothing objectionable about him and, were he a democrat, he would certainly be endorsed for re-election... yet another sign of the rag's incipient Madore Hatred Syndrome.

I don't care for either of them and won't vote for either.  That said, this is a GOP tide and unknown partisan leftists like Pauli-Hammond are in for a tough sled.

Prosecutor: Golik.

Golik's administration of the Prosecutor's office has been more of a model than a partisan slugfest.  Brent Boger's endorsement sealed the deal for me, and the combination should be enough to lift him out of the GOP tide.  I'm not going to vote for anyone just because they have a letter after their names.

Treasurer:  Likely Colas.

Colas has both a compelling resume' and has found some irregularities in the office of the treasurer.  That Doug Lasher has been in office longer than most of Clark County has been alive is no reason to keep him there.

Colas makes a great case that Lasher is losing us money.  And that's reason enough, I believe, to replace him and give Colas a shot.  However, it's a steep hill to climb, given Lasher's name familiarity, and this call is subject to revision if I don't see a wave of effort coming to rectify that sort of thing.

Sheriff: Atkins

Atkins is an adult.  Gardner is a child.  Atkins is a cop, Gardner is a social worker.

I've busted Gardner for his arrogance and narcissism.  The Lame Brain Shane Train screwed up by going all in as part of an effort to put a nanny into the office by not only going outside the county but outside the state to get someone with the background that Gardner, himself, lacks.

Marc Boldt's endorsement along with the rest of the rabid left doesn't help.

Gardner is broke (Only reporting 5 donors this month and now having spent a few thousand more than he's raised) and getting terrible, unbelievably useless and expensive advice from fringe-left nutter Jim Mains.  His endorsement list is a who's who of CRC Scammers.  He'd be perfect for the job of Clark County Social Worker, but not for top cop.

Atkins continues to extend his fund raising lead and has even garnered support from Betty Sue Morris and the county Prosecutor, democrat Tony Golik.

That combination is just too strong... and it's Atkins.

Assessor: Van Nortwick.

Four years ago, Lefty Lou Brancaccio used his soap box to savage Peter Van Nortwick, again showing his partisan hatred by endorsing a woman in that office who had not voted during the entirety of her LIFE.

The guy running against Van Nortwick, Wertz, is running because, as I understand it,  he's pissed off at how something turned out between himself and Peter's office.

Wertz is a Ridgefield City Councilman who also ran against Tom Mielke in 2012.  Essentially, it takes genuine anger to unseat an incumbent, or some level of incompetence (See Lasher, for example)

Van Nortwick is likely to take this as Wertz has raised a whole $750.  That shows that people have already voted with their wallets.

Commissioner: Stewart.

Craig Pridemore has made it clear that he'll ignore us and fight for his fellow fringe-leftists and the other special interests who own him like the 13th Amendment was the 13th Suggestion.

Jeannie Stewart has fought her way through personal tragedy and she has a record of fighting for the people on the CRC Scam, that Pridemore has major ownership of, that he can only dream of.

Stewart in a walk.

The County Charter: Will be crushed.

This is likely to be the biggest ass-whoppin' since the '95 loot rail vote.

Partisan hatred is not a reason to change the structure of our government, particularly when neither former Commissioner Betty Sue Morris nor former Commissioner Craig Pridemore had any problem with the system we have in place right now.

In the end, nothing the pro-Charter scammers can say gets them over that hurdle: if it was all that bad, then why didn't Pridemore or Morris do something about it when they were commissioners?

East County Advisory Vote: PASS

It will pass this time like it passed last time.  And I'm going to revel in it since it pisses off the C3G2/democratian haters

17th District:  Wilson

All seats currently GOP in Clark County will be GOP after this election.

Both seats in the 49th will remain democrat.

The only seat in play is Stonier's in the 17th.

Stonier has no real argument to keep the seat.  She claims she's voted against taxes.  But like every other fringe-left nutter, she's OCD about the CRC Scam and she offers absolutely NOTHING along the lines of addressing our cross-river traffic inadequacies.

But the number one reason to get rid of her is that no matter how conservative she tries to act, she's a vote for the fringe-left leadership of the House.  That and that alone is enough.

Linda Wilson has and is running a stellar campaign, one of the best I've seen by a first time challenge candidate.  She will surf the tide of GOPdom and will actually be a damned fine representative.

This is all subject to change: after all, there are 35 or so days left... and that can be an eternity.

But it seems fairly straight forward.

3rd Congressional: Herrera (Unfortunately)

Dingethal's only chance was to separate out from his fellow fringe-left nutters, move to Herrera's right and become the one thing the fringe-left nutters cannot stand: a conservative democrat.

His lack of responsiveness doomed him to the point where he was broke and has been broke.  That Herrera is equally worthless just means that neither of them are worth voting for.

UPDATED (15): My LOCAL "do not elect" list.

As the election spools up, I'll be posting this and frequently updating it as candidate's are disqualified from consideration by their positions, their cowardice or their supporters.

These are in no particular order.

"NO" on the charter - a legal coup attempt to overturn the 2012 commissioner election.

While I could have supported a charter IF it had been limited to nothing BUT the initiative/referendum process, the scum who hate that they've lost control of the commission even suggested that we accept an obviously unconstitutional restriction on the right of County Employees to run for partisan office.

This will be updated to counter the lies of the leftists shilling this... and to bring the truth to those seeking it.

Shane Gardner - Clark County Sheriff

Gardner has had problems.

He's quite the megalomaniacal individual, a badge-happy social worker who seems rather confused about what the role of sheriff actually is supposed to be:

Specifically, to arrest the bad guys and let the system deal with them.  That's who I want is sheriff.  And a result of Garner's relative lack of experience and confusion as to both his law enforcement (I'm here to arrest the bad guys) function and his political identity (I'm told this guy is scamming independents with his bogus, non-political party meme) makes it a no-brainer to put him on my do not elect list.

And NOW, to appeal to his leftist base, he's inferring that the riots in Ferguson are the fault of the police while failing to express any concern over those whose businesses have been destroyed by these thugs.

Scott Weber - Clark County Clerk.

Ran on a platform (That I supported) of eliminating the position as an elective office.  Has done little to nothing to make that happen, save to file for re-election..,. when he should have been banging on the freeholders to put this change in as part of the charter vote.

Mussolini Mikey Briggs -  CRC Scammer and wannabe state representative.

Something of an odd duck, Briggs has spent the last two years fantasizing about our legislators ignoring everyone else to do his bidding.  A RABID CRC Scammer who could care less that the people of this district hate the CRC and loot rail with a passion, Briggs is getting zero traction except from typical fringe-leftists and their ilk.

That, in and of itself is not why he's on this list, however.  Neither democrat running in the 18th has even a remote chance of winning.  What gets him on this list is the exact same thing as Dingethal: he's terrified of making his positions on the lightning-rod issues of our times here locally public and as a result, he refuses to answer any questions concerning his support of issues opposed by the majority of the entirety of this district.

He spent the last several months proclaiming HE could represent ALL of the people of this district, but has ignored repeated requests to explain how, for example, he would represent ME or anyone else opposed to that massive rip off of a loot rail project that he is so enamored of.

Ignoring constituents, actually or prospective, is automatic grounds for addition to this list.

Maureen "Bully" Winningham - CRC Scammer and fringe-left partisan hack.

Bully is one of the most strident, blustery, inept and lying candidates I have ever seen.  And I've been in politics for a paltry 24 years or so.

Like Musso Mikey, Bully isn't getting any traction and is, in fact, becoming increasingly disliked.

Just for one example: When she finished her imitation of Der Fuhrer at the democrat goat rope, she got a standing ovation of two: her kid and that poor unfortunate soul she's married to.

An executive in a corporation with a MASSIVE outsourcing program, she lies unnecessarily showing she has issues somewhat beyond the political realm.  And like her fellow fringe-left challenge candidate, she refuses to answer any questions concerning her bizarre political positions on any of the issues.

While it's just sad... she shouldn't really be considered for election to anything, let alone a so-called representative of the people.

Greg Kimsey - CRC Scammer and wannabe county executive and county auditor.

Greg has shown himself during his tenure to be an effective accountant.  He runs elections very well.  But he's also done all he can to lighten his load, supporting, among other things, this motor voter-idiocy that allows any biped, regardless of citizenship or legal status, to register to vote like they're an American citizen, not to mention allowing convicted felons to vote without restoring their voting rights.  (It's much easier, administratively that way, you see.)  Nor has he done anything to show that he's suitable for governance, never having been elected to any type of leadership office.

Now, he's joined with fellow CRC Scammer and leftist Steve Stuart, who using both Greg Kimsey AND Peter Van Nortwick to try and save a floundering political career that is likely going to end next year... like his buddy Marc Boldt's ended last year.  Combine this with his obvious downtown mafia connections and what have you got?

Selling out to the left is both a RINO trait AND a reason to be place on the "do not elect" list.  And Greg deserves it.

Peter Van Nortwick - County Assessor and wannabe county commissioner.

No one alive defended Peter against the democratian or the left more than I have.  Sadly, because of his misplaced belief in his political acumen and his political ambition, Van Nortwick has now become the left's best friend in their efforts to perform a legal coup to overturn the results of the county commissioner election that saw control of local government ripped out of the hands of the special interests who had been calling the shots forever.

Things aren't going all that well in Van Nortwick's shop,.  And between his mismanagement, his RINO tendencies (He was RINO Rob McKenna's guy in Clark County, and he failed to deliver.) and his blind ambition, he's also qualified for the "do-not-elect" list.

Should Shane Gardner be campaigning while wearing his badge, gun and vest?

Because I'm here at Billigan's and that's exactly what he's doing.

As far as I'm concerned, that's reason enough to vote for someone else.

UPDATE

Imagine my surprise when I walked into a restaurant and there was SGT GARDNER (according to his vest) with badge and gun talking to someone about how he had been endorsed by two-time democrat candidate for sheriff Shotwell.

That he's scamming the fringe left vote isn't surprising, given that Jim Mains among others of that ilk are coalescing around this allegedly "non-partisan" candidate.

But that he would campaign while wearing a gun, a vest and a badge?

Time to derail the ShaneTrain.

Friday, September 19, 2014

I hope Shane Gardner didn't pay anyone for his fund raising letter.

This little tidbit was emailed to me today, and I could only shake my head in sadness that such a horrific effort would actually be sent out.

Gardner, of course, has acknowledged his own inexperience by going out and grabbing someone who knows absolutely nothing about Clark County has his presumptive undersheriff.

Like that makes any difference.

The letter is a mess.  It shouldn't have been single-spaced, for example.  That makes it difficult to read for those who have to grab reading glasses.

Second, exaggerating (Lying?) does not help you:  that you came in a distant second (Just like you'll come in a distant second in the general is not "amazing."  A distant second is, in fact, the first loser.

Third, your campaign has zero momentum.  Lying about that does not make it so, but your PDC's which have been pathetic since the primary and your lack of events scheduled since (all of one) in fact, shows just the opposite: you're dead in the water.

Atkins' PDC's show 46 different donations this month, since the first.

You show ZERO.

Tell me again: who's got the momentum?

Third, you wasted half of the $36,000 you babbled about (And it's always wrong to babble about how much you've spent) on Jim Mains... and that's like tossing it down a black hole.

Fourth. you have precisely ZERO "unique qualifications" to run the Sheriff's Office.  Nor do you have the maturity.

Fifth, most of your "support" comes from the same crew of fringe-left nutbergers who wanted to ram the CRC down our throats, ram the ballpark down our throats, and now want to ram this charter down our throats.  And that's hardly something to recommend you.

Sixth, confirming your lack of experience and knowledge about running this agency by going out of state to get a has been to provide you with some small amount of credibility gets you no where.

Seventh, your "non-partisan" shtick was a failed political ploy.  Several candidates have, of course, run as non-partisans in a wide variety of positions: Ed Owen ran that way before YOU did if memory serves, in THIS election.

Your hope was to round up the democrats and cherry pick independents.  But your sad campaign just hasn't worked out all that well.

Eighth, you have no hope of raising $50,000 in the last almost 40 days of this campaign.  You'll be lucky to call it good if you can jack $5,000.

I mean, I know Mains is expensive, but $50,000 worth?

I'm actually going to share why I oppose you to the hundreds of readers this blog has so that when the time comes, they'll do what most others are going to do, and vote for Chuck Atkins.

Friday, December 05, 2014

So, why is Jim Mains throwing a snit over the Kimsey Allegations?

In the last election, Jim Main's "clients" all had one thing in common:

They all lost.

He made bank off of some, particularly that poor schlep Shane Gardner.  His fangs are likely STILL buried in Shane's neck. ($11,000 or so for such an abysmal outcome)

So, when Mains babbles this:
I get that he's wearing out kneepads for the downtown mafia.  As a political mercenary, he'll take money from just about anybody.  And in so doing, just about anybody should be prepared to lose.

But here's the thing: just because Mains is butthurt there's no reason for him to lie.  He has no basis for his statement, and no one is going to ever cast a ballot based on what the local GOP did or did not do in this matter.

A good candidate is a good candidate, regardless of what the GOP has done.  And there will be zero votes withheld from anyone because of this affair.

What Mains is saying here since he was a rabid charter shiller, is that he doesn't care whether what Kimsey did was illegal or not.

Tens of thousands may have a different view.

When it comes to "planks," Mains has no room to talk.  As a political analyst/consultant, his miserable outcomes speak for themselves.

In the end, we have a system in place.  The system needs to work.  And if Kimsey is found guilty of breaking the law as I suspect, then the results of this stupidity need to be invalidated and this needs to be done over.

I get that Mains and the rest of the charter scammers are terrified of that possibility.  But in the end, completely unsubstantiated and unproven claims ("I say it again, gop you have lost hundreds of local supporters") are as meaningless as his political advice.

In the event Kimsey is found guilty of wrongdoing, that will make no difference to the Mains of our community.  They don't give a damn that laws may have been broken to give them what they wanted.

Mains and his ilk represent a cancer on our community, where laws are but mere suggestions to be cast aside at their whim if they may not like the outcomes.  And if Kimsey is found guilty, what will they have to say then?

So, in the comments under this article at this point, who's objecting?

Why, every one of them is a C3G2 hater, including Mains.  Sheer coincidence, I'm sure.

To that extent, somebody in fact does look like a fool.

And his name is Jim Mains.

Sheesh.

Switching support in the Superior Court race.

Up until recently, I have been leaning toward Veljacic in the Superior Court Judges race.

But with the Columbian's slobbering, non-sensical, hate-conservatives endorsement.... along with the support of a C3G2 hater and fringe-left whackadoo in the comments... that's done.

Frequently, the rag fails to provide any compelling reason to vote for anyone they support.  Their support of a candidate makes my default position to vote for whoever they pass over in their anti-conservative jihad.

This is one of those times.

They offer precisely zero reason to re-elect this young man, who may be very well everything they're saying he is.  And if he is, that does not stand as a reason to elect him: on the contrary, that a clueless idiot like Inslee appointed him stands as a reason, by itself, to vote against him.

Combine that with the rag's description of him as a social worker type:
For Veljacic, an examination will reveal a jurist whose career is marked by outreach and compassion. Shortly after graduating from law school in the late 1990s, he founded the Union Gospel Mission Legal Services Clinic (now Open Door Legal Services) in Seattle, which assists homeless people in family law, immigration, and debt cases. He has served on the Clark County Diversity Advisory Committee and has been a member of the Washington State Bar Association's Character and Fitness Board. He also serves on the state's Clemency and Parole Board.
I don't want a social worker judge any more than I want a social worker sheriff.

On the other hand, the rag mentions that the local bar has rated Vukanovich as superior in every respect:
Vukanovich's respect among his peers was evident when he was a candidate for the Superior Court position to which Veljacic was appointed. Vukanovich received the highest marks in a poll of bar association members — both overall and in the categories of legal ability, judicial temperament, integrity, and relevant legal experience.
I've met them both. Veljacic is personable and he'd make a great manager of a social service agency.

But that's not I want with a judge.

I want someone who is going to put the bad guys away.  That's why I oppose Shane Gardner:  I am much less concerned about their motives and their upbringing than I am about them going Away for a long, long time or being given the death penalty for committing murder... which all murderers should face as a result of their crimes.

Strike one for Veljacic was that he was appointed by Inslee, hardly a ringing endorsement of either sanity or community... but Inslee's stubborn insistence on ramming loot rail down our throats along with his equally rabid support of the Cowlitz Casino shows that he could care less about us.

Strike two was this idiotic endorsement, which rings through with the theme "he's a leftist and we like him" which isn't nearly enough of a reason to support anyone in the face of the qualifications, experiences and ratings by the local bar.

Strike three:
