Obama's campaign poster?

.
Just the thing for 2012.

.

Question for TV Tony Golik: why wasn't he fired?

.
It wasn't because he was a campaign supporter, was it?

Tony Golik is congratulated by the crowd along with his wife Cathy and Jim David at the Atrium after hearing of his win for Prosecutor.

Jim David's conduct should have resulted in his termination.  But it didn't.  Today's quiz question is this: why wasn't he?

His conduct has put a huge black eye on the face of the prosecutor's office in Clark County.  And Golik has let him get away with it.  And if you don't believe it's a huge black eye, then run a google search on this guy.

Prosecutor demoted over phone message

Profanity-laced tirade against defense attorney punished

Lyle Patterson, the father of Hudson’s Bay teacher Gordon Patterson, meets Clark County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Jim David in January 2010 after Antonio Cellestine was sentenced to five years in prison in Gordon Patterson’s hit-and-run death. David has been demoted over a voice-mail message he left on a defense attorney's cellphone.

Deputy Prosecutor Jim David, pictured here on his Facebook page, was demoted for leaving an explosive voice-mail message on a defense attorney’s cellphone.
A 27-year veteran attorney of the Clark County Prosecutor’s Office — who has tried a number of high-profile criminals — has been demoted after leaving an explosive, profanity-laced two-minute voice-mail message on a defense attorney’s cellphone.

Clark County Prosecutor Tony Golik said Wednesday that he demoted Jim David from senior deputy prosecutor to deputy prosecutor, a move that cuts David’s salary. It wasn’t immediately clear how substantial David’s pay cut was, but deputy prosecutors generally make 5 percent less than their senior counterparts. The demotion is effective July 1.

Golik wouldn’t comment directly on David’s conduct, but said he felt the demotion was reasonable after listening to the voice-mail message and talking with David.

“I took what I felt was an appropriate action,” the elected prosecutor said, later adding: “I would expect deputy prosecutors to act in a professional manner at all times.”

The situation started May 25, when David received an email from defense attorney John Terry notifying him that the defense attorney was prepared to go to trial the following week. Terry was representing Matthew L. Coonce, arrested on March 3 on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and stealing a car.

David was under the impression that Terry wanted to postpone Coonce’s trial, so David said he had already scheduled several conflicting appointments. The next day, he called Terry, telling him a trial would force him to “cancel my weekend.”

“You’ve been telling me you wanted a continuance on the (expletive) case, and now you are telling me you want to go to trial next week,” David said in the voice mail. “I’m (expletive) laying you out. This is absolute (expletive).”

David went on to say harsh words about Coonce.

“It’s coming out of your client’s hide if I have to go to trial next week, and there ain’t going to be no stinking offers,” David said in the message. “There ain’t going to be nothing coming other than go to prison for a very long time.”

Prior to trial, Terry filed a motion to dismiss the case because he felt David was guilty of telephone harassment and his actions unfairly prejudiced his client. Clark County Superior Court Judge Barbara Johnson denied the motion. The case went to trial and Coonce was convicted on June 3.

There wasn’t fallout — until this week when the publication Willamette Week published its regular “Rogue of the Week” column, highlighting David’s inflammatory message. Coincidentally, Golik decided on June 20 to demote David.

Asked if he expected any more fallout from the event, Golik said Wednesday: “I don’t know.”

When reached by telephone, David explained the situation as a “one-time thing of extreme frustration.” He said he was upset at Terry for wanting to rush forward to trial after first giving him the impression he needed more time on the case.

He said he’d been stressed from working long hours to open an elder abuse center for the prosecutor’s office.

“Unfortunately, I made a call and said things I shouldn’t have said,” David said. “Although inappropriate in the professional sense, there was not a legal issue with them.”

Is reality hitting Vancouver over the baseball scam for the Yakima Millionaires?

.
So, what's been going on as the reality of this ripoff begins to sink in and even the rag has been laying off the puff pieces?

Investors "want assurances" that the people will have to secure this scam for them so they're protected while we're screwed.

Here's the details of the rip off from the scammer's position.

essentially, those details are meaningless: they get the facility and the ground it's sitting on for free through lease after their 30% payment.  They control every aspect of the facility and get every penny in profits.  They run everything, make all the money off the facility and control it all while we bear the lion's share of the costs.

The rest of the world calls that organized crime.  The baseball freaks around here call it a deal.

This scam guarantees the Yakima Millionaires everything, while equally guaranteeing that we get screwed.

They even acknowledge that the taxpayers have to pick up the bill for almost $1 million per year in return for a paltry $189,000 per year "in tourism."

It's stunning that this scam has received any serious consideration at all.
.

More proof democrats want illegal aliens: they invite them to a senate hearing where the head of Homeland Security does nothing to lock them up.

.
It takes a special kind of scum to deliberately ignore the laws of the United States for political puroposes, and Janet Napolitino along with Senate Democrats match the bill.

Do we need more proof that the democrats have an open border fetish than this?

Illegal Aliens Step Boldly Out of the Shadows at DREAM Hearing

[Editor's note: Video of the hearing is below.]

It’s not unusual for politicians on Capitol Hill to recognize citizens during hearings on legislation that would have a positive or negative impact on their lives.

But that tactic took a different turn this week when hundreds of illegal immigrants filled the largest hearing room in the Senate to openly participate in the proceedings.

And they did so without threat of arrest from the nation’s chief immigration law enforcement official who was sitting in the front row: Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

Many of the illegal immigrants were recognized by name by Sen. Dick Durbin (D. –Ill.) who led the panel, and commended by Obama administration officials who want to give them legal status under sweeping legislation called the DREAM Act.

The DREAM Act would give permanent legal status to illegal immigrants, up to age 35, who arrived in the United States before age 16, provided they complete two years of college or serve two years in the military.

“The young people who would be eligible for the DREAM Act call themselves dreamers,” Durbin said. “Over the years, I have met hundreds of these dreamers, and hundreds of them are here today,” Durbin continued.

Durbin introduced about a half dozen of the illegal immigrants by name and asked them to stand, as he told their story of how they were brought into the country illegally by their parents. Although they had attended U.S. schools, Durbin said they
could either not get jobs or faced problems pursing higher education because of their illegal status.

“Let me ask everyone here today who is a DREAM Act student to stand and be recognized,” Durbin said.

Nearly everyone in the audience stood.

“Thank you so much for being here,” Durbin said.

Just 24 hours before the hearing was scheduled to convene in the rather small hearing room of the Judiciary Committee in the Dirksen Senate Office Building which seats about 100 people, Republican staffers were notified that Democrats had moved the proceeding to room 216 of the Hart Building.

Better known as the “media room,” that hearing hall can seat 300 to 400 and is typically reserved for large gatherings, like confirmation hearings of Supreme Court Justices.

Napolitano told this subcommittee of the Judiciary Committee that although the large group gathered was part of the population that is subject to deportation, there would be no enforcement of the law that morning.

Here's what you get if you're in subsidized housing in Fairfax, VA

.

FFX Subsidized Housing Tenants Live Large On Your Dime

by Mark Weaver
WMAL.com
FAIRFAX, Va. -- Resort-style swimming pools with fountains and heated spas, billiards rooms, granite counter tops, ceramic tile, indoor basketball courts, stainless steel appliances -- many Fairfax County taxpayers cannot afford such luxuries.  But they are paying for these amenities for use by low-income residents who live in subsidized housing in affluent neighborhoods.

"They're a part of our rental program where we subsidize the rents for the individuals in the units, and we end up having to pick up the condo fees," supervisor Pat Herrity told 630 WMAL News.

Herrity does not advocate putting low-income residents in "ghetto-style" housing but he takes issue with taxpayers who cannot afford such luxuries being forced to pick up the tab for people who qualify for subsidized housing.

"These are resort-style amenities that the majority of the taxpayers that are subsidizing it don't have on their own," said Herrity, adding that "luxury has no place in subsidized housing."

"If the occupants of these homes improve their lives financially, they will be forced to move out.  And the housing they could afford without the taxpayer subsidy is well below the quality of these homes," he said.
Herrity said Fairfax County should sell subsidized housing units located in affluent neighborhoods and stop paying the condo fees.

"Why would we have taxpayers who are trying to work their way into these neighborhoods pay for somebody else to be put into these neighborhoods," said Herrity.

Halperin tells the truth about Obama on MSNBC, gets suspended.

.
Leftist recoiled in horror when Mark Halperin told the truth about the empty suit:

Where I disagree is that this jerk wasn't just a "dick yesterday," he's been a "dick" since he hit puberty.

Kudos for Halperin telling the truth. As for MSNBC, it's just a shame that telling the truth gets you suspended. Must be more of that diversity they claim to practice.

Trading communications equipment for the stupidity of military affirmative action?

Diversity Thursday

I want you to think when the problem of inadequately designed, funded, and deployed Joint communications equipment resulted in the unnecessary death of American servicemembers. For me, I became aware of it before I could drive during the invasion of Grenada.
Think about the fact that throughout recorded history - bad communication or lack of effective communications have led to loss on the battlefield, loss of campaigns, defeat of nations and empires. This is fact.
Priorities.
I know a lot of people in the squishy middle tire of DivThu and think, "No sweat off my back. I have more important things to think about. Anyway, what does it cost?"
Well, I think back to those nice lists of "unfunded priorities" we produced each year. Important but dull things that could not get funding. Things that could make a difference of life and death. They never got funded though - because of ... priorities.
For my forward deployed readers - ponder what your community could do with just a few million dollars?
Now, put that to the side for a moment. Now ponder all the times on DivThu (new folks click the lable below for examples) we have covered the slime of the Diversity Industry and how we feed those fetid sores of Cultural Marxism, sectarianism, and discrimination.
What is more important - tactical communications or feeding the beast that encourages the most base of human behavior?
BEHOLD.

SEC. 549. DIVERSITY RECRUITMENT EFFORTS FOR THE MILITARY SERVICE ACADEMIES.

(a) Funds for Diversity Recruitment Efforts- The amounts authorized to be appropriated by section 301 for operation and maintenance for the Army, Navy, and Air Force for officer acquisition, as specified in the corresponding funding table in section 4301, are each increased by $1,400,000 to expand diversity recruitment efforts for the United States Military Academy, the United States Naval Academy, and the United States Air Force Academy.
(b) Offset From Joint Tactical Radio System- Notwithstanding the amounts set forth in the funding tables in division D, the amount authorized to be appropriated in section 101 for other procurement, Air Force, as specified in the corresponding funding table in division D, is hereby reduced by $4,200,000, with the amount of the reduction to be derived from Joint Tactical Radio System Maritime-Fixed radios under Line 049 Tactical Communications-Electronic Equipment as set forth in the table under section 4101.
(c) Merit-based or Competitive Decisions- A decision to commit, obligate, or expend funds referred to in subsection (a) with or to a specific entity shall--
(1) be based on merit-based selection procedures in accordance with the requirements of sections 2304(k) and 2374 of title 10, United States Code, or on competitive procedures; and
(2) comply with other applicable provisions of law.

If you find this objectionable, then you need to get in touch with your Senators now as I understand that this is out of the House and has been sent over to the Senate. Reference H.R. 1540, Section 549 and follow the directions our former staffer gave us on Midrats earlier this year; state your zip code to show you are a voter in their State, give them the reference above, and tell them you oppose it and that you would like the section removed and the money given back to support combat forces.

Awww, heck. Get in touch with your Congressman too.

The loss of Sam Reed is no great loss.

.
In their cloying, absolutely fictitious review of Reed's damaging tenure as Secretary of State for Washington, "In Our View: a Model of Impartiality" includes kudos for supporting the typically leftist causes the democratian advocates.  Unfortunately for us all, the local rag refers to this kind of crap as "impartial" when each of the issues at hand are taken directly from the democrat playbook.

I came to know Sam Reed while I was working for the state GOP.  He constantly whined when the GOP refused to pay off his $10,000 or so campaign debt from the 2000 election, because, apparently, even as a newly elected statewide official he lacked the ability to raise that paltry amount himself.

That's when I also came to know, in the most up close and personal way, that political parties were only a label, and in many instances such as Reed's were used only in the guise of opportunism, since "personal responsibility" and other GOP concepts such as vote security and felon responsibility seemed to be concepts beyond Reed's grasp.

In a dull-normal tenure where Reed SHOULD have been acting on behalf of the voters of this state, we were, instead, cursed with a man who's primary concern was based on reducing his work load.

Reed has neither advocated nor implemented any programs designed to ferret out the illegal alien vote; in fact, as a strong advocate of motor voter, where this state, for unfathomable reasons, remains only one of two in the entire country to provide illegal aliens with driver's licenses, making Washington State the shame of the entire country, no thanks to Reed.

When one applied for the license they're looking for, of course not requiring proof of citizenship to drive, one also doesn't provide proof of citizenship to register to vote, either, diluting perhaps our most precious right by allowing any one of these people committing multiple crimes (Being here illegally and falsely swearing to be a citizen) to vote.  Not requiring this common-sense qualification reduces the work load of the Secretary of State's office, because there is, then, no requirement to attack this kind of fraud.

Reed appeared to be helpless to deal with the felon voting issue, but appearances are deceiving.  Publicly, his staff even lied about the timing of Reed's efforts to get out from under the felon voting issue, as that post explains. Except for sending convicted felons illegal voter registration forms, Reed has never done anything to enforce the restrictions against felons voting without first completing their sentences... "completing their sentences" including the vital aspect of paying their court-ordered  restitution, an act that few felons bother with.

Now, voter registration forms are part of felon out-processing, and voting has been completely taken off the table as an additional lever to get these criminals to pay the victim(s) for their criminal acts.

And who benefited from that?  Democrats, who've been after the felon vote for years, and Sam Reed, who subsequently had his own work load reduced, because he could stop making excuses for failing to do his job and work to write software that would screen out felons.

He did nothing about the felon vote because he never WANTED to do anything about it.

And finally, his moronic desire to jump off the cliff with Oregon and require all votes to be in by COB election day, instead of the much fairer system that has been in use in this state for decades... the system that allows votes POSTMARKED by COB election day to be counted... as they should be.

Democrats want that because typically, late-breaking votes usually trend right... as illustrated by Tom Mielke's come-from-behind victory over Pam Brokaw in 2008.

Under Reed's "work avoidance" plan, he would have lost, because many of those votes would not have been counted.  And naturally, the rag would have supported that.

Thus, the democratian's glowing, utterly nonsensical review of Reed's worthless tenure.  And the dearth of comments agreeing with the fringe-left nutter who wrote that pap speaks for itself.

The "Irony" joke of the day: Tim "The Liar" Leavitt even using the word "truth."

.
Over on the democratian puff piece that continues their lame, exaggerated, mindless support of the I-5 rip off are the following comments:

Josephine Wentzel · Friends with Lew Waters
Thank you Councilwoman Jeanne Stewart for standing up for the people! She was the ONLY one who made sense yesterday. When she pressed about citizens being denied a vote, the mayor got real antsy and almost gaveled her down! None of the other councilmembers stood with her ---- NOT ONE OF THEM!  3 · Like · Reply · Subscribe · 10 hours ago

Timothy D Leavitt · Vancouver, Washington
Comical Josephine....purely comical. Are you really running for the Vancouver City Council, at the same time purposefully manipulating the truth about this issue?
The ironic joke of all of this?

That a lying scuzball who did nothing BUT "manipulate the truth" (aka, "lie") to get elected should charge someone else with the thing he is most known for and guilty of?

I'm not a huge Wentzel fan: too few results considering the assets.

But for someone like Tim "The Liar" Leavitt to question someone ELSE'S veracity?

That's not only ironic, it's the kind of rank hypocrisy this clown is known for.
.

Is Jack Burkman lying about the loot rail tax vote rip off?

.
From a message sent  from Jack Burkman to Lew Waters on his facebook page:
“It sounds like you and I disagree on people in outlying areas having the right to vote on taxes in Vancouver. They choose to live outside the city, yet shop inside the city – a choice, not a requirement.”
“Taxes collected inside the city are part of the overall cost of accessing the city’s shopping and entertainment.”
There are a couple of frightening elements about this:

First, the gerrymandered C-Trans district contains a great deal of Clark County that is not within the city limits of Vancouver.

Second, regardless of our reasons for choosing not to live in Vancouver (And those reasons certainly outweigh any I can think of to live IN Vancouver) the fact remains that EVERYONE in the county will be taxed for this.  As a result, every registered voter in the county should have a say.

Third, one of the problems with Jack's perspective is this:
They choose to live outside the city, yet shop inside the city – a choice, not a requirement.”

The gerrymandered district used to stuff the last C-Trans tax down our throats included every major retailer in Clark County.

When Jack says we have a choice, there is a level of agreement:  We have a choice to shop in Oregon.

But in Clark County at the time of the last vote, with every Fred Meyers, the Walmart, Sears, Penney's etc within their gerrymandered district, even those OUTSIDE Vancouver city limits, (Like Battle Ground and Salmon Creek) we, in fact, had precisely zero choice in the matter save shopping in Cowlitz County or Oregon.

Burkman, who has really stepped it up to oppose the ballpark, shows a lack of knowledge and understanding of the C-Trans rip off that is frightening.

The fact is this: they gerrymandered a taxing district that cut out every precinct in Clark County that voted "no," and as a result, they cut out 10's of thousands of us forced (Yes, Jack, I said FORCED, since our vote was taken away from us and we had no alternative) to pay their tax while silenced at the polls.

Here's Wiki's take:
Clark County Proposition 1 (2004) and C-TRAN's future
In November 2004 a ballot initiative known as Proposition 1 was defeated by a simple majority of voters. While 46.33% of eligible voters, or 73,959 ballots, approved this measure to increase the Clark County sales tax by 0.3% (from the current 7.7%) to continue the funding of the public transportation, 53.67% (85,684 votes) rejected the proposition.
As a result of the subsiquent Leavitt-style attitude of the C-Trans Mafia, we got this:

C-TRAN redistricting and new C-TRAN benefit area ballot measure
On June 1, 2005, the boundaries of the Clark County Public Transit Benefit Area were reduced from the whole Clark County to the area including only the cities of Vancouver, Camas, Washougal, Ridgefield, La Center, Battle Ground and Yacolt, as well as the unincorporated areas surrounding Vancouver. This is done so that, unlike in the failed 2004 Proposition 1, only those who would benefit from C-TRAN services will vote on any future ballot measure to secure new funding for the transit service.
C-TRAN proposed a special election in September 2005 to decide on whether residents within the new C-TRAN benefit area will pay an additional 0.2% (from 7.7% to 7.9% in Vancouver) sales tax to maintain the current C-TRAN service level.
The measure passed by a wide majority. C-TRAN continues to operate, and now with fresh funding, is expanding.
I like the honesty of the phrase "This is done so that, unlike in the failed 2004 Proposition 1, only those who would benefit from C-TRAN services will vote on any future ballot measure to secure new funding for the transit service."

Note the lack of the phrase "PAY for any future ballot measure."

For whatever the reason, the actual number of votes to screw us were left out on the Wiki page: the lackeys screwing us voting "yes" so they could tax us for THEIR services were 45,322; the people voting "no" were 21,545.

This action that Burkman seems to proud of cutting out over 100,000 voters from having a say... every one of whom got stuck paying a tax applied to us all by 45,000 voters... out of 170,000.

Had, in fact, the gerrymandering been limited to the city of Vancouver proper, that would be one thing, particularly since I do everything I can to avoid spending a dime in that den of inequity.

But in this case, their grasp far exceeded their reach... deliberately... and popped all of us they knew would be a "no" on yet another of their interminable tax increases.

Jack Burkman's arrogance and lack of information concerning this rip off, self-deluding or not, is an extreme disappointment to me personally, and emblematic of the kind of arrogance ramming this multi-billion dollar bridge/loot rail boondoggle down the throats of upcoming generations who, like the last C-Trans rip off, will have no say.

And that's a shame.
.

The hilarity of the bankrupt democratian telling us what's good... or not.... about "cutting costs."

.
Few things in life can be more hilarious then a corrupt, bankrupt company telling others what's good... or bad... about finances generally, and cost cutting specifically.

The rag has made it their mission to bury us in debt for upcoming generations for a bridge and loot rail that we do not need, do not want, and cannot afford.  Their bankruptcy, which unfortunately, didn't put them under,

For these people, these Loot Rail Weiners, to even comment on "saving money," considering the billions they want to extort from us on the bridge, and the millions they want to extort from us to subsidize their ad revenue stream from the ballpark for the Yakima Millionaires... both without a vote, you understand (If the Chief Loot Rail Weiner, John Laird's words are to be judged... and their arrogance and belittlement ARE judged.)  and not to mention their recent and most spectacular bankruptcy, is to have an Obama tell us how to fix the economy: a laughable, moronic joke.

Of course, the main reason for this column isn't to talk about the relatively speaking, chump change savings of $300,000.  The main reason is to do a puff piece on Mike Ciraulo, Battle Ground Mayor and The Next Big Thing.

After all, they've go to have something to replace serial drunk and sexual harasser Jim Jacks and Ciraulo fits the bill.

He's carried the rags's water precisely like Jacks, has done nothing to block the loot rail scam and has remained silent on the ballpark rip off.  Others are tainted by their record of lies on loot rail and the bridge, such as Leavitt and Stuart.  As damaged goods, well, no amount of image rehab will be able to cover their perfidy.

So, that leaves fellow democrat Ciraulo... who is mentioned in this column with glowing terms... though he really did nothing to merit it.

The hillarity of it all.

So, what they're doing is a little early campaign puff piece.  We can expect many more to come.

In our view: Cutting Costs

A quick quiz for Lou Brancaccio. So Lou, what's it mean when an organization like ICC (aka Identity Vancouver) has a speaker like Jim Jacks?

.
It wasn't that long ago that local media bully sprayed a few hundred gallons of ink my way by attempting to hurt Ann Rivers by beating her over the head with me.

A classic case of attempting to infer guilt by association.  In fact, that punk was so enamored about his one-sided mud-slinging that I rated two consecutive weeks of his babble.  Later, he was loading up to crucify Brent Boger the same way, but stupid enough to tip his hand, and he was beaten senseless as a result.  Naturally, he ran away with his tail between his legs, having FINALLY crossed the line.

That brings us to this situation: the ongoing democratian cover-up of the escapades of a drunk, serial harasser by the name of Jim Jacks.

Jacks was a state representative invited to get his ass out of the House of Representatives most-riki-tik because of his final straw shattered over the back of a camel last St Patrick's Day.

While Jacks has publicly confirmed he has an alcohol problem, he has never publicly disclosed the extent of his misconduct with female staffers in Olympia.

The Columbian is well aware of the misconduct in question, but they hide behind the lack of a paper trail due to Frank Chopp's well-orchestrated cover up of the whole thing.

Jacks, of course, lied about his departure in ways that are, in fact, easily verifiable.  But when you don't WANT to report the truth, you wind up like our local rag... ignoring it.

I bring all this up because I stumbled across a YouTube presented by Lew Waters.

This is it, showing yet another step of Jacks' image rehabilitation.  We can, no doubt, expect more in the future.

As mentioned, this was Jacks in front of an organization he was, and perhaps still is, a part of: Identity Clark County.

If Ann River's association with me was such a huge negative... what does that make ICC's association with a drunk who harassed women he worked with?

I'm guilty of writing a letter 16 years ago.

I'm guilty of writing letters to the editor using a fake name to protect the Rep I was working for.

I'm guilty of failing to live up to Brancaccio's standards when it comes to this blog.

And most important of all, I'm guilty of opposing most of what the democratian writes and most of their agenda... the horrific and unneeded bridge replacement/loot rail that they won't be paying for... Moving the Yakima Millionaires over here at taxpayer expense so they can earn money off our backs, etc.  I have, perhaps, taken the rag and those working for it to task 100's of times for their lies, exaggerations, insults and belittlement.  Also, I'm not a leftist.  Because if I were as rabid in SUPPORT of the democratian's crap as I am in opposition, we never would have heard a word out of Lou about little ol' me.

The result?  Brancaccio tried to hammer me like a nail.

Jacks is guilty of breaking the law.

So... what difference does all of this make to the democratian?

Here, Lou, let me save you the trouble: it makes no difference at all.

See, when a "friend of Lou's" gets stupid... that's different.  The standard is different.  The mindless, robotic water-carrying by Jacks when it came to the democratian's agenda... is different.

Ann was somehow bad because I support her candidacy and her election and her service to our community.

Again, what does that make Identity Vancouver?

Does that mean we'll see a kind of drunk column where Brancaccio trashes THEM?

Hardly.  As an organization, they could commit armed robbery and Brancaccio wouldn't utter a peep.

Because well, that's how he rolls.

And, apparently, that's how ICC rolls.  And Brancaccio?

From him, we'll get nothing.

A sad anniversary passes: The Columbian continues their cover up on the Jim Jacks misconduct issues.

.
When you're a democrat front publication, it's difficult to break the leash from your fellow fringe leftists and it's even harder to treat a bridger/looter Gunga Din water carrier for our local rag the same way they have treated, say, Peter Van Nortwick.

So, here's what we've got: a fringe-leftist who voted almost exactly like neo-communist Jim Moeller; who was a drunk, and who engaged in misconduct with female staffers.

The other thing we've got is a self-neutered newspaper, who, like the people living across the street from Dachau who didn't know it was a concentration camp, doesn't "know" about Jacks' well known and easily verified misconduct... misconduct that led to his resignation and subsequent expulsion from the House... that, because they're too stupid to find a paper trail, can't "prove" anything so they refuse to "speculate" about Jacks' expulsion.

And like those living in Dachau... if they don't know?

It's entirely and only because they don't WANT to know.

Yeah, I know his lies about "resigning."  But he didn't "resign" so much as he left under the threat of exposure.  The rag knows this, of course, but because Jacks was their faithful lackey, well, they couldn't go out there and follow up... and then publish it, could they?

The hypocrisy of the rag is obvious: they refused to allow what they called "speculation" about Jacks' misconduct, even though hardly a day goes by when they, themselves, don't engage in rampant and complete speculation when it suits them.

The word for that, of course, is hypocrisy.  But then, that's what out rag is known for.
.

Announcing the new term to label Bridgers/Looters: The Loot Rail Weiners.

.
Have you ever noticed how slime like John Laird always attack those opposed to their agenda?  In his most recent slam, he extrapolates, because it suits him and his cause to do so, that we must support loot rail because the volunteer campaign trying to, gasp, heaven forbid! Put this to a vote is having trouble getting it done without any funding... like, you know... a union initiative would have funding before it's tossed at the polls (Say, a moronic state income tax, for example?)

This neo-communist wrote:
All bark, no bite — Gosh, with all that yelping from anti-light-rail hounds who claim to represent “the people,” it seemed like getting enough petition signatures for a ballot measure would be easy. Alas, the stampede is more like a crawl, and top dog Larry Patella confesses, “I think it’s a lost cause right now,” for the second year in a row
No, the slimer couldn't be graceful and say something like, "Even though I disagree with your vision, I applaud your efforts to exercise democracy," or something like that. Nope, he's got to be a dick.

OK, then the result is inevitable. He reaps what he sows.

He is, therefore, a Loot Rail Weiner. No more just being a much more understated "bridger/looter." He's now been promoted to his namesake, "Weiner."

Because he columns are the same kind of worthless imaging that one of his fringe left heroes, Tony "The Weenie" Weiner was sending out, only he uses words instead of pictures.

Another teacher, who makes $86,522 in total compensation a year, snivels about a minor pay cut. UPDATE: Lazy C pulls all teacher comments and my comments calling them out.

.
It is this kind of monumental bitching, whining and moaning that makes me sick when it comes to teachers.

One teacher in particular is pitching a fit under the comments section in the Lazy C on their editorial supporting this miniscule paycut our poor, overworked, put upon and underpaid teachers have to go thru to help balance the state's budget, because, of course, teachers believe themselves to be so special that the Obama trainwreck economy should only impact those of us forced to pay their salaries.

Jeff Johnson · Secondary School Teacher at Evergreen Public Schools
What this article fails to mention, and which is incredibly important to remember, is that Public School teachers HAVE ALREADY endured pay cuts over the past three years, and so this most recent cut wouldn't be the first! We've already shared in the sacrifices that the private sector has also had to experience.

President Obama's Terrible Mistake

Posted By Blackfive • [June 23, 2011]

From a Blackfive reader "T":

The President addressing the 10th Mountain Division today at Fort Drum:

"First time I saw 10th Mountain Division, you guys were in southern Iraq. When I went back to visit Afghanistan, you guys were the first ones there. I had the great honor of seeing some of you because a comrade of yours, Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to who actually came back and wasn’t receiving it posthumously."

As we all know, SSG Sal Giunta, of the 173rd Airborne, was the first living recipient (2011) of the MOH who fought in Iraq/Afganistan. SFC Jared Monti, 10th Mountain Division, was KIA in Afghanistan in 2006. He was posthumously awarded the MOH by Obama in 2009.

How does the Commander-in-Chief mix these heroes up? He put that medal around Giunta's neck and he stood with Monti's parents as they grieved. These fallen heroes leave such a great legacy, and we should know all their names. The ironic part of the speech, and this comes after the announcement of the politically pressured drawdown of troops in Afghanistan, was Obama's closing remark, "Know that your Commander-in-Chief has your back."

It shouldn't take a teleprompter for the C-in-C to get it right.

BLACKFIVE has the goods.

A moment with Moeller.

.
We all know Jim Moeller, neo-Communist from the 49th District.  Typically, if there's a fringe-left position politically, Moeller's all over it.

Over the years, Moeller's reputation as an arrogant ass is legendary.  He typically insults and belittles those wise enough to disagree with him and his bizarre antics, most recently, he's earned the sobriquet "Candy Man" for his moronic "this-is-candy, this-isn't" tax, a tax thoroughly trashed at the polls last November, so I wasn't terribly surprised when I read the following garbage on the Lazy C this morning:

Lew Waters · Top Commenter · Works at Curmudgeon & Blogger
Plans move forward even though the vote from citizens if postponed.

Obviously, the loot rail mafia has no intention of listening to citizens and will shove this entire scam off no matter what.

Downtown fatcats will increase their wealth off of our backs.

Lew: Name calling and impugning the character (...the loot rail mafia..") of those who oppose your opinion ("This is not representative government...") doesn't elevate the debate. It only inflames it. What is your motive? Engender debate of the issue or inflame it?
Good God. I spit up all over my keyboard when I read this from Moeller. Jim, do you want us to list all of the examples of this very thing coming from you?

Hypocrisy does nothing to further Moeller's position, either. The motive? A vote on this entire sorry, inexcusable waste of billions of dollars. Those who ignore this fundamental right, such as Moeller himself, particularly when they do so based on their self-professed arrogance; or those who lie to get elected and then do all they can to KEEP us from voting (Leavitt and Stuart) deserve a hell of a lot more than just "name-calling;" and the accurate description of their character... because it's only "impugning" if the facts don't support the conclusions. When they do, as they do in this called "truth."

Moeller's insulting behavior and rank arrogance is the thing legends are made of.  For him to berate someone else for the very same behavior he ROUTINELY engages in puts him at the top of the rank hypocrisy list.

More delusion from the democratian: rose colored glasses on the local non-recovery.

.
Early Obama campaigning, eh?

Today's moronic editorial, touting a few jobs as something of note shows the rag has joined with the Obama campaign for a little early campaigning.

How many times have the Empty Suit's people told us we're in a recovery?  How many times have they lied to us about economic issues?

Now, our local version of a worthless waste of wood pulp has joined the chorus of the non-existent local recovery.

We need many times more jobs to engage in anything approaching any kind of recovery. THOUSANDS of people joined our local job force through this bizarre concept known as "high school graduation." And how many jobs were there to greet them?

What's that? 300?  And how many average Joe's were qualified for these jobs?

Big whoop.

Their delusions about our local economy match their delusions about the bridger/looter project, the Pollard Hilton and this Ballpark they want to build with OUR money for a few millionaires from Yakima... all so THEY can make a profit off of US.

How do we know they're lying?

They put ink to paper.

The reeking, rank hypocrisy of John Laird.

.
We are unfortunate to be at the tender mercies of a fringe-left, activist rag as a source of some news.

What's most unfortunate is that as a daily in one Washington State's largest cities, they could be a force for good if they would only realize that the privileges they enjoy and that others died to make sure they have, are not based on the concept of newspaper as former of society... but instead, are based on newspaper as a reflection of society.

But when your underlying philosophy is built on arrogance and the mistaken belief that your editorial perspectives and proclamations are superior to those they allegedly serve in this community, then you wind up with the Nazi-like publication we have today.

I say "Nazi-like" because the forerunners of the current, modern version of this publication felt the same way about so many things... and used many of the same techniques.  The attitudes of many involved in those publications reflect with mirror accuracy the attitudes of those running the show for our local daily were the same... the arrogance, the complete indifference towards the society they would ostensibly be published to serve, and their efforts to mold and shape both public opinion and society itself into their model  of what is right and wrong.

That is precisely what our daily does.  Lou Brancaccio and John Laird feel they have a mission to do all they can to make our community a reflection of them.  They believe that we should reflect THEIR vision, as if their vision is any more cogent, or stellar, or better than my Cavalier Spaniel's.  As a result, instead of reflecting US, they demand that WE reflect THEM.

Well, we're not.

Both of these people are almost psychopathic in their desire to harm those wise enough to oppose their garish, taxpayer extorted idea of what our Vancouver-centric community should look like... act like... and pay for.

Screw that.

These clowns tattoo people from their bully pulpit, knowing that there's no way those targets may reply to their gallons of ink on any level playing field.  Bullies typically act that way.

They lie, distort, exaggerate, ridicule... in short, they use the progressive playbook as if Sal Alinski was paying them.

Dave Madore has made some unfortunate choices for the sources of his political advice.  Unfortunately for him, the supreme requirements of successful politics include competence, vision, and execution... and he has been lacking in all three.

Political failure relegates one to the kind of public flogging these slime dish out as they do everything they can to discredit Madore.  Had Madore been successful in his efforts... and success was so very close had he listened to people who know what they're doing... then this kind of garbage wouldn't be the variety they'd trowel out.

This past Sunday, for example, the lowlife running the daily rag's editorial page felt compelled to exhibit the rank, reeking hypocrisy he's become legendary for.

Laird, who whines and bitches and moans like few others besides Brancaccio, has done nothing to impact the things he whines about.  He is the very model of that which he complains about... a hound of Weinerville.

He has never run for election around here.  He rabidly supports the fringe left candidacies of his socialist heroes.  In effect, all he does is write.  Badly.

Madore, on the other hand, is a political neophyte who has been cursed with bad political strategies by people who really have no idea what the hell they're talking about.  Had he kept competent, knowledgeable people around, he never would have filed for a race he ultimately didn't run.

That kind of thing submits him to the fringe-left ridicule of the variety scum like Laird and Brancaccio ladle out.

The result?  Sewage like Laird writes manure like this:
Again we see that the redundant, ever-present squawkers at Vancouver City Council meetings are more bark than bite. For all the lambasting councilors repeatedly absorbed in the past couple of years, one would expect a veritable stampede of foes was waiting to mow them down in the election. Alas, only four candidates stepped forward to challenge the three incumbents. That’s down from seven challengers in three races in 2009.
This is why they’re called the Hounds of Whinerville and not the Lions of Action.
And had Madore, who may be (and is) a brilliant businessman but who seems to know about as much about politics as he does brain surgery, been successful... there is no way scum like Laird would be writing this way about him.

This rag, including slime like Laird, will do everything they can to destroy anyone running for office who does not slavishly devote themselves to their agenda.

So will the downtown Mafia and Identity Vancouver.

Who among us mere mortals could ever hope to put together the money to counter the in-kind, leftist political contributions scantily clad as "news" that this rag will be hammering the anti-Columbian candidates with on a daily basis?

It was just last year that these scum set about to crucify their opponents; myself... Peter VanNortwick... Brent Boger.

So, when you oppose what these swine are trying to ram down our throats, anal orifices like Laird reward those attempting to exercise their franchise with insulting, belittling crap like the paragraph quoted above.

For those who may disagree, ask yourself this question:  If Madore rabidly supported the rag's agenda... do you think.... for one minute.... that these lowlifes would have written anything like these two screeds about Madore?

Fat chance.

But then, that's the rank hypocrisy that is the underlying foundation of the local cancer on our society.  And it will be, until finally... irrevocably... and hopefully soon.... they're gone.

Because that's how they roll.

What to do about our foreign entanglements.

.
I didn’t watch the GOP debates; it’s far too early and too many of the candidates yet-to-announce actually weren’t there.

But McCain missed the point with his isolationism shtick.

We have been in Afghanistan for the better part of a decade, and there’s no end in sight. The government we’ve installed is weak and corrupt. We even allow the continued production of heroin. And that’s American blood on the ground over there.

We’ve been in Iraq for several years, and we can’t seem to find a way to leave there, either.

But no one wants to stay. No one wants to stick it out.

And that’s because we don’t know what “sticking it out” actually means, or looks like.

At this point, it seems to look like permanent combat. And presumably, no one supports that.

So, we only seem to have two choices:

Continue to send our kids into the region forever; or get out now.

As a result of what was said in the debate, McCain throws a fit:

"I wish that candidate Romney and all the others would sit down with General Petraeus and understand how this counterinsurgency is working and succeeding," McCain said Sunday on ABC News' "This Week."

"And it still has enormous challenges; the Karzai government, the latest problems with Pakistan. But for us to abandon Afghanistan to the tender mercies of the Taliban and radical Islamic extremists, I think, would be repeating the mistakes we made before."

McCain, ranking member on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said the counterinsurgency strategy was succeeding, and that he was in support of a modest withdrawal of 5,000 to 10,000 troops.

"It's clear that we do need to move into eastern Afghanistan and finish this fight with one more season," he said.
Well, we’re not going to do that.  Oh, we may move troops into that region, but it won't "finish" a damned thing.

The problem I have is that “moving into eastern Afghanistan” isn’t going to finish spit, as long as the extremists continue to crank out more jihadists for their meat-grinder.

I believe the American people have come to realize that we really don’t have a plan. We are becoming increasingly aware that we really don’t have anything approaching a successful exit strategy, because we won’t do what has to be done.

We want out because we cannot see where anything we do, particularly based on our cowardly lack of political will, stands to make any difference.

“Finishing the fight” means doing things that no one, including McCain or Lindsey Graham, who with equally bumbling mendacity, told us that if we fail in Libya, it will somehow be the end of NATO; want to talk about.

Victory in the region means ending the threat from Iran. It means taking out Assad in Syria, who continues to slaughter his people with impunity while NATO and the UN fiddle, proving, again, how worthless those organizations really are.

Exclusive of the now well-documented stupidity of Obama’s foreign policy, my question for Graham is this: When has NATO EVER succeeded… in ANY mission? Hell, they couldn’t even handle a Podunk outfit like Bosnia until we came in and straightened everything out. Who CARES if NATO collapses? They can’t do anything ANYWAY.

America needs what it does not have and cannot get: a clear, unambivalent foreign policy with well-defined goals and a basic, common-senses strategy on how to achieve those goals.

In Afghanistan, we can’t even install a government that isn’t corrupt. We can’t end the drug trade by destroying the poppy fields.

In Iraq, we’ve failed to punish Iran for killing hundreds, if not thousands of Americans through surrogates and directly providing arms and technologies aimed at combat losses… meaning that for Iran, the issue is just a matter of time, of wearing us down, of forcing us out.

In World War Two, the strategy and the goals were clear. They were measurable. The balance between American blood spilled and proximity to those goals was easy to understand and articulate.

The American people were united behind achieving those goals, because they could see it and understand it.

And that was the last war where we were unified in its execution. It’s the last war where almost everyone sacrificed something through rationing, war bonds and defense work.

Now we fight our wars like Rome. And the outcome may likely be the same.

Here’s my take: I’m continuing to work to keep my son out of the military because the mission is senseless. As it is now, it seems to me that our only purpose in Afghanistan is to kill the bad guys… while doing nothing to our OWN bad guys, failing to understand that without a major policy shift, the SUPPLY of bad guys will be endless.

Graham (Who I’ve met and spent some time with a decade ago as part of GOP staff) is a very smart man. Articulate and aware. But when he says things like this:

"It is in our national security interest to make sure the Taliban never come back. If we fail in Afghanistan, they will kill every moderate who tried to help us, and no one in the future will step up. It will destabilize Pakistan beyond what exists today. It will be a colossal national security mistake," he said.
I have to wonder. Because so far, no one, including Graham, has provided us with a vision or scenario where this is not the inevitable outcome.

In short, like Graham, I want to avoid this vision as well, but what Graham fails to do… what McCain fails to do… is to provide us with any clue as to how we are to avoid that outcome with the conditions we have now.

If we were to make every member of the Taliban or al Qaida vaporize this instant, the corrupt nature of the Karzai government would doom Afghanistan into continuing tribal warfare as well as continuing on as a fat prize for the pickings for the others in the region who view it like a sick water buffalo trying to cross a river full of crocodiles.

In Iraq, Iran continues to expand their influence and soon their power, because the United States, which can’t even keep those whack jobs from building a nuke or dozen or so, hasn’t done a damned thing about it.

McCain and Graham tell us we must stay. But they seem to blow through the psychotic foreign policy of the empty suit where one dictator slaughtering his people gets NATO intervention in an area that isn’t our problem (HELLOOOOO…. IS THERE SOME REASON THE ARAB LEAGUE COULDN’T HANDLE LIBYA?) and ANOTHER DICTATOR IN AN EVEN MORE IMPORTANT REGION, DOING THE SAME THING, DOESN’T GET THE TIME OF DAY?

Yeah. That’s a foreign policy the whole world can get behind…. Right?

So, no. Unless McCain and Graham can articulate, with some level of specificity, how we accomplish this, then no… we need to get out.

The alternative is just to stay there to kill people… because these morons are going to keep coming. Their religion breeds them. And unless the strategic plan is to wipe out the source of those willing to blow themselves up in pursuit of their goals; unless we can say for a certainty that our presence has made a difference… a PERMANENT difference… then it’s time to go.

Because, unfortunately, unlike World War Two, we’re fighting a nebulous, implacable enemy. And with the Moron-in-Chief we have, we’re doing it with one hand tied behind our collective backs.

Insanity has been frequently defined as doing the same thing, repeatedly, while somehow expecting a different outcome. Tell me again how we win this thing, Senators. Tell me again how we win when our president’s stated goal is just get out. Tell me again how we keep the Taliban and al Qaida from just laying low until we leave, and our program of Vietnamization is complete?

And by the way?

How did that work out for us?

Herrera sells us out... again. Votes against killing funding for the black farmer rip off.

.
We all know the scam: people claiming to be black farmers... 3 times or so as many blacks as their ever were black farmers... get their people to extort billions of dollars because of non-existent racism... a scam that would make Al Capone blush.

The House had a chance to kill this abortion of justice.  Seventy nine Republicans voted AGAINST killing the settlement.  I knew, without even looking, that Ridgefield Barbie was one of them.

Sure enough...

FINAL VOTE RESULTS FOR ROLL CALL 444
(Republicans in roman; Democrats in italic; Independents underlined)

      H R 2112      RECORDED VOTE      16-Jun-2011      12:35 PM
AUTHOR(S):  King of Iowa Amendment No. 1
QUESTION:  On Agreeing to the Amendment

The Camas Manikin was a no.

She actually voted "no" when it came to funding this abominable scam... meaning she supported paying this rip off.

Seventy-nine Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives cast votes Thursday against an amendment to H.R 2112, the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration and Related Agencies Appropriations Act of 2012 that would have blocked the government from paying out $1.25 billion to a suspect class of people, many of whom have been outed as con artists backed by hungry class-action lawyers. Today, I’m wondering (albeit with my tongue firmly in cheek), “Where is the mainstream media coverage of this story?”

Four months ago, the Washington Times used its editorial page to lambaste Pigford as “Race hustlers are shaking down taxpayers for payoffs, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is falling for the scam.” On yesterday’s vote, however, the newspaper was silent. And they’re not alone.

While Lee Stranahan’s article at Andrew Breitbart’s BigGovernment.com and my piece that followed cast some light on the matter, none of the alphabet networks or dinosaur newspapers appear to have reported on the vote. In fact, a Google News Search this morning of the word “Pigford” — the shortened version of the name of the class-action lawsuit, Pigford v. Glickman, against the USDA — turned up only eight results.

I suspect news anchors and editorial writers are avoiding the subject, since it could come back to bite the rear ends of the candidates for whom they will be “carrying water” in the 2012 elections. For that reason alone, members of the new media and the Tea Party Movement alike should make it a hot-button campaign issue.

The seriousness of Pigford is, perhaps, best explained by the statement issued by U.S. Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) about the amendment he filed that would have prevented any funds appropriated under the act from being used to settle claims associated with the controversial and fraud-plagued Pigford II program:

“In the 2008 Farm Bill, Congress limited taxpayers’ exposure to the Pigford II settlement program at $100 million, a figure that was deemed sufficient to resolve the racial discrimination claims leveled against the United States Department of Agriculture by black farmers,” said King. “Since that time, a lame-duck Democratic Congress agreed to President Obama’s request to pump an additional $1.15 billion into the Pigford II settlement program, doing so even though the program is rife with credible allegations of massive fraud that have not been fully investigated. This was an irresponsible act, and it violated Congress’s responsibility to be good stewards of taxpayers’ money.”

“The new majority in the House of Representatives should not ratify the lame-duck Congress’s decision to increase American taxpayers’ exposure to Pigford II fraud. I believe that an investigation into the program will reveal that the majority of the claims that have been filed are fraudulent, and Congress should not turn a blind eye to the real possibility that the money is being used primarily to build political goodwill for the President instead of being used to properly redress the much smaller universe of people who have actually suffered harm. If passed, my amendment would put the brakes on Pigford II funding, and it would prevent the Secretary of Agriculture from paying fraudulent claims one $50,000 check at a time.”
*Pigford II is the second such “settlement program,” established when some folks in Washington decided some “black farmers” had been overlooked during the first round which began in 1999 under the so-called “first black president,” Bill Clinton.
Questions must be asked of candidates — especially Republicans and so-called conservatives — who voted to advance the fraud that has already been thoroughly exposed via the painstaking investigative efforts of the folks at BigGovernment.com, BigPeace.com and, of course, BigJournalism.com.
