Thoughts on John McCain.

I simply don't know enough ACCURATE information to assess his military career.  He did a great job of using the perceptions of it to launch his political career.

My only interaction with him was years ago when the State GOP Convention included a plank in the state platform that would do away with tribal sovereignty at the state convention.  (2000 in Spokane, actually).

He called the GOP office in Tukwila directly and demanded that the, at the time, highly publicized plank be removed, as if I could wave a magic wand and simply overturn a decision voted on by the state convention.

I explained to him that even as Executive Director, I wasn't in any position to simply hit the delete key. and that removal would have to be set up via the state executive board.  It could be... and ultimately was... accomplished through a phone conference with the EBoard within a few days.

He didn't like that at all, but it was what it was.

My concern with Sen. McCain rests entirely on the damage he did... and his failure to champion the cause of veteran health care was part and parcel of the deaths of tens of thousands of us.

His involvement in the Keating 5 scandal was both inexplicable and inexcusable.

His decision to vote against the repeal of Obamacare which just about every Republican member of Congress... including all of his Senate GOP colleagues...had ran on to get elected... was a betrayal of everything the GOP stood for.

Done out of spite like so many RINO decisions, it once again made him the darling of the left that he was until he was nominated for president and those same leftist colleagues did their best to destroy him.

The problem I have is that when I as a veteran needed him, he wasn't there.  He was in the Senate for 35 years.  When it became clear veterans were dropping because the VA generally and the VA in Arizona particularly was delaying appointments until we were DEAD... what did he do about it?

Nothing that I'm aware of.

And when he was treated for his cancer, it sure wasn't done at a VA facility.

Why do you suppose that is?  If VA care was all that great, then why aren't Senators lining up to receive it?

When I as a Republican needed him, he, like our worthless Congresswoman, wasn't there.

He wasn't a "Maverick" as so many of the polite, social circle limousine RINOs now calls him.

He was just a RINO who acted out of spite and who failed this country when we needed him the most.

Am I sorry he's gone?  Will I miss him?  Was he anything special?

As sorry as he would be if I were to die while he was alive.  As much as he'd miss me if I were to die while he was still alive.  And when we needed him most in Congress, he voted like a spoiled rotten, petulant jerk... like a Rivers, like a Wilson and like a Herrera... and those votes hurt us all terribly.

In short, no.  He wasn't.

There, I've said it.  People will be angered by my words, no doubt, but I call them like I see them and this won't be the first time.

In time, everyone will get over it...  but there it is.

Teachers once again put money ahead of the law. Quite the example for their kids, isn't it?

So, just about every district in Clark County has... or will... vote to screw their communities... and the kids they falsely claim about, if their extortion demands are not met.
ex·tor·tion
ikˈstôrSH(ə)n/

noun
noun: extortion; plural noun: extortions

the practice of obtaining something, especially money, through force or threats.

synonyms:

blackmail, shakedown;
Teachers, of course, would never admit to it, but in this instance, what's the difference between this extortion and any other of the white collar variety?

Teacher strikes are illegal.  They know it,  They dance around it, some even rather stupidly deny it.

I've been in "discussions" with some of the greedier version of the breed who come up with any number of invalid, worthless justifications for what they plan on doing... when, if they gave a damn and felt that Rivers' and the GOP-controlled Senate's betrayal of the taxpayer somehow ENTITLES them to this theft, that they should sue the districts to get their money instead of taking the criminal way out by hurting the children and their families they are, allegedly, paid to serve.

Besides attacking me... you know, one of the unfortunates who pay them their 30 pieces of silver? Because I have the temerity to disagree with their outrageous demands... they simply refuse to acknowledge that what they intend to do is against the laws of this state.

Public Employees' Collective Bargaining.

RCW 41.56.120

Right to strike not granted.

Nothing contained in this chapter shall permit or grant any public employee the right to strike or refuse to perform his or her official duties.

Laws are meaningless to the greedy, avaricious teacher unions who know that under Janus teachers are liable to dump them quicker than yesterday's newspaper.

That's likely to change in the short term give Janus, but the rest of the teachers are coming along for the ride. The reality here is clear: all they've ever cared about is money.  And no amount of it for their part time, 183 day per year job, will ever be enough.

The outrageous demands they make are analyzed by
Forensic Accountant Extraordinaire, Tiffany Couch: (Click the link)

At least one district is demanding a 30% pay raise.

Albert Einstein wouldn't be worth a 30% pay raise.

And like all teachers, they don't give a damn if they have to break the law to get it.

As for the children they teach?

From their perspective?

Message received.

Will these millions... tens of millions... hundreds of millions more wasted on paying teachers ultimately make any difference in our 21.8% drop out rate?

Will the billions we've dumped into the WEA education plant result in a better, more academically accomplished graduate?

And what happens when these additional billions effectively do nothing?

Are they going to be as eager to give the money back as the were to extort it in the first place?

We continue to hear the lie that this extortion is "for the children."  We continue to watch the teachers defecate on the laws of this state with their illegal strikes.

Well, it's NOT for "the children."  It's to feed teacher greed.  It's to enrich the union... a union teetering on the brink of elimination as a result of the Janus Decision.

And, as always, no number will ever be enough.

Teacher hissy-fits and their absurd salary demands.

A local woman of numbers did an analysis of the typical school year for teachers (at the end of this post) who are, I believe, already absurdly overpaid for both what they do and how long they do it each year.

As I understand it, the teaching year is statutorily set at a minimum of 183 - 7 hour or so days per year.

For that, teachers in the Evergreed School District are demanding... DEMANDING... a 30% pay increase over the next 3 years.

That, of course, is insane.  No teacher is worth that kind of a raise and these morons need to remember that those of us paying their salaries do NOT see that kind of an increase, anywhere.

The product teachers punch out like movie tickets... when they managed to graduate at all (Around 1 in 5 don't make it) are sadly not all that prepared for the world in any senses, let alone the academic.

In Hockinson, my two graduates of Hockinson high school did very well academically: one was a 3.6 GPA, one a 3.1.

Neither could pass the math placement test at Clark College.

Go figure.

Anyhoo, like teachers all over the state, Hockinson teachers are gearing up to throw their OWN hissy fit in a district where property taxes exploded as a result of the GOP Senate ripoff known as the McCleary decision.

The problem is the pay, benefits, retirement and so forth of these prima donnas is simply getting out of hand.

This woman professional posted her analysis... only to be met with the standard
Make sure you factor in the work done at home, and during the days school is not in session. Most of classroom set up and curriculum planning is do e on our own time, as well as time spent answering emails and student questions, the time we volunteer for advising student clubs and meeting with parents after their work day is finished.
Nonsense.

Before I rip this attitude of entitlement to shreds I need to start with this part of this idiocy first:
(T)he time we volunteer for advising student clubs and meeting with parents after their work day is finished.
As a teacher, you would THINK this person would understand what the word "volunteer" actually means.  Clearly, she does not.

So, for her edification, I'll consult one of the dozens of online dictionaries available to help her out with that:

vol·un·teer
[ˌvälənˈtir]

NOUN
volunteers (plural noun)
  1. a person who freely offers to take part in an enterprise or undertake a task.
synonyms: subject · participant · case · client · patient · guinea pig
    • a person who works for an organization without being paid.
    • a person who freely enrolls for military service rather than being conscripted, especially a member of a force formed by voluntary enrollment and distinct from the regular army.
    • a plant that has not been deliberately planted.

    • law
a person to whom a voluntary conveyance or deposition is made.
VERB
volunteers (third person present) · volunteered (past tense) · volunteered (past participle) · volunteering (present participle)

  1. freely offer to do something.
"he volunteered for the job" ·
"I rashly volunteered to be a contestant"
.______________________________________________________

So.  This paragon of altruistic virtue now believes she should get paid for volunteering.

See, *I* volunteer.  I have worked in a mobile food bank on a monthly basis for the last 6 years or so.

I also volunteer at the Clark County Veterans Assistance Center every week.

I don't expect to get paid for any of it.  I wouldn't TAKE money for any of it.

You see, THAT'S what it MEANS to VOLUNTEER.

As for some nebulous claim about "work done at home," how do we know any of that is true?

"Classroom set up" is also voluntary and can certainly be accomplished during the school day: teachers should put in an 8 hour work day like anyone else.

"Answering emails and student questions?"

Gee.  Who knew THAT wasn't a part of teaching?  Is it possible to answer their questions at school?  Again, this seems to be a "volunteer" issue... I mean, how did *I* ever make it out of school without being able to email my teacher who would then drop everything else in their life to answer me after school hours when they've gone home.

While this IS the typical response from these greedy slime, none of it justifies anything.

Here's the thing: teachers, if you don't like the pay, the benefits, the retirement and the working conditions?

Then feel free to quit.

You see, I have to wonder: what level of intelligence did a teacher have when, in choosing this job, they failed to fully understand the requirements?

And when they signed the contract TO teach, how is it they didn't seem to understand what the job PAID for their part time, 183 day gig?

Look, I get that it's all about teacher greed.  The McCleary decision was a scam that the Legislature should have... and easily could have... ignored.  But the GOP-controlled Senate sold us out with Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers being the lead saleswoman.

The result was this explosion in our property taxes, increases unheard of in this state's history.

And now the teachers and their unions want to rape us and extort us by threatening to go on yet another series of illegal strikes.

Here's the thing, teachers: you are once again holding your academic gun to the heads of our children to extort more money going into YOUR pocket from out of ours.

If you don't like the deal the districts are offering, then feel free to sue the districts in question.  But now, you've lost your cover and the truth has blown the lid off:  your bogus strikes have NEVER been "for the kids."  You just use them like a shield... like ISIS used civilians as a shield to stop air strikes.

As it is, what these teacher strikes/extortion efforts have taught us is that NO number will EVER be high enough.

Pay them $200,000 this year, and next year, they'd want $10,000 more.

Sadly, the quality of the product they actually produce is never in question: bring up the issue of teacher accountability (Which the GOP-Senate failed to address in any way, meaningful or otherwise) and the teachers lose their minds because, well, you know: they can never be like any OTHER employee, right?  The best teachers can never be paid for being the best, and the worst teachers can never get fired, right?

But THIS time as you striking teachers go about your efforts to extort more money out of us, remember:  that is not the way to get taxpayer support and in the end, when you need it most?

It ain't gonna be there.

Here is the entire analysis by Tiffany Couch, Forensic Accountant Extraordinaire.
Because I'm an infinitely curious person, I decided to look at the local school calendars and figure out the number of days a typical teacher works. I assumed they had to work 10 days before school starts and 2 days after (very generous, based on what I know about my teacher friends). I assumed they had to work all snow make-up days. Total days worked = 192. The rest of the year, they get 45 no-work days and 23 paid holidays. In other words, they get 68 no-work days, the equivalent of 13.5 weeks, or 3 months plus a week of no work per year (this does NOT include weekends).
Conversely, someone in my office works 236 days per year. This is 251 working days minus 15 days of PTO (fairly standard). They also get 9 days of holiday pay. In other words, they get 24 no-work days, the equivalent of 1 month and not quite another week of work.
The difference in working days is 45 days. 9 weeks. More than 2 months.
When you start to look at the equivalent hourly rate between a teacher who works 192 days and someone making the same in a full-time job the difference per hour is between 5 and 7 dollars, depending where on the scale the teacher falls.
And this is before medical, dental, and pension benefits. Each teacher gets a little more than 15% of their annual salary posted to a pension account (for a teacher making $50,000 this equates to $7,500 in additional benefit).
If your company needed to get its product to market, needed to pay its debt, and ensure that its people were paid, would you agree to double-digit raises? What would happen to your company if you did?

In addition to Druggy Dave, it's time for Joel Mattila to go.

My last impression of Matilda was his scumbag little speech at the last quarterly PCO meeting this month where he babbled about the PCO election results... and came across like the establishment hack he truly is.

Generally speaking, the Republican Party is SUPPOSED to be pro-2nd Amendment.

But the chair of the local GOP is a little "gun shy," in addition to his myriad of other problems.

And so is his sidekick, Joel Mattila, to our lasting shame (not to mention President Trump's), State Committeeman for the Clark County GOP... and coward.

It seems ol' Druggie and company have their own PAC.  And, per PDC regulations, a group of folks exercised their right to examine said books.

They showed up at the appointed place (Local GOP HQ) at the appointed time (7:00 pm on August 6) to exercise their rights.

Both Druggy and Matilda showed up at the appointed time... in a big ol' truck, apparently being driven by Druggy.

And then?

Druggy and Matilda made the following call.  Matilda was doing the most talking, but you can hear druggy in the background.

Now, to the untrained ear, it kinda sounds like intoxicants of some sort were involved.  But Druggy certainly wouldn't actually engage in that sort of thing given his drug issues, would he?  And would Joel "Swampdrainer" Matilda have gotten blitzed before HE showed up for this meeting?

Well, either way, this is yet another episode of "why the CCGOP chair and state committeeman are both unfit to be in any leadership position... doing anything."

I'll let someone who was there (Richard Colwell) explain it:
OH MY GOD! REPUBLICANS AT A POLITICAL MEETING CARRYING GUNS! (or, “How State Committeeman Joel Mattila (Butters) should turn in his man card AND his TRUMP card and go snivel with the progressive Democrats”)

Maybe our Clark County Republican Party State committeeman, Joel Mattila (“Butters”), should stop going to Republican Party central committee meetings?

After all, we know there are a lot of guns there!

In fact, “Butters” Mattila should probably stop hanging out with Republicans altogether if he’s afraid of Conservatives,  Conservative Republicans with guns, and afraid of people exercising their rights protected by the  Second Amendment…

I made an appointment per state law to view the books of the Political Action Committee “Clark Leadership”. Joel “Butters” Mattila and David “Dilatory” Gellatly are the members of that PAC. Under Washington State law, all political committees must make their financial records viewable to the public by appointment. In fact, all political committees must make regular monthly reports of all their income and expenses, which are publicly viewable at the PDC website. Clark Leadership PAC and it’s members have never bothered to file these legally required reports.

I have evidence that leads me to believe money from the Clark County Republican Party was used without authorization to host fund raisers for Clark Leadership – which in my opinion as a member of the Clark County Republican Party should have been directed to the Clark County Republican Party, and not their PAC.  Here is an ad for the event paid for by the Clark County Republican Party:

In defense of the lawsuit Gellatly has filed against me for “defamation,” my attorney and I issued a subpoena to get the bank records of Clark Leadership PAC from Columbia Credit Union. Gellatly’s attorney tried to get that subpoena quashed. Gellatly and Mattila and their attorney are going to extreme lengths to hide the actual facts of their financial records of their PAC.

Thankfully, that motion to quash was denied by the Judge in the case. I and my attorney WILL be getting the records they are trying so hard to hide.

(The) Following is the sequence of events that transpired when they were supposed to show myself and others the records of their PAC.

I showed up at CCRP HQ a little before 7 PM on August 6th.

Gellatly never responded to my request to change the meeting time to 7, so I just figured to show up at 7.

I was met there by:

Kevin Vangelder
Dan Clark
Kalup Veneman
Robert Moon

We were standing outside waiting in front of HQ.

Kevin Vangelder is an Open-carry activist. He always carries his pistol, openly, everywhere. It was in a secure police-type holster the entire time.

I’m almost certain Mattila has been around Kevin, while Kevin has been armed, in the past, and it never bothered him before. Mattila has certainly been at Central committee meetings where a considerable number of Republicans in attendance have been visibly and openly armed in addition to carrying concealed arms – which was apparently never a problem for him.

None of the rest of us were armed in any way.

Kevin kept his pistol in his holster the entire time, and never touched it – you know, like our friend Kevin always does in polite society.

Gellatly and Mattila arrived a few minutes after 7.

They remained in Gellatly’s truck in the parking lot for approximately 20 minutes without talking to us. It appeared like they may have made a phone call to someone while in the truck. During this time they were laughing and taking pictures of us and the papers they later gave to me.

It turns out that was when Mattila was calling 911. Listen to Butters whine in this 911 call audio:
Audio Player

Considering it was most likely David Gellatly who wanted to use a 911 call as cover for not disclosing their PAC’s books, it was nice that he had a “team player” like Joel “Butters” Mattila to take one for the team…

After about 20 minutes, Gellatly drove his truck up to us, arms length away from me, and stuck his arm out of his window with the papers.

He Asked me with a smile on his face, “Do you want these?”

Joel “Butters” Mattila was laughing and smiling also.

I asked if they were about his PAC.

Gellatly’s response was to ask again the same question – “Do you want these?”

I asked if they were the bank records or books of his PAC.

He asked again, “Do you want these?”

I took the papers.

David and Mattila laughed and drove off.

They drove to a nearby parking lot, turned around, and drove past us on Covington Avenue, about 30 feet away, window down, laughing and smirking at us.

They repeated this, driving by us 3 or 4 times over about a 15 minute period, each time hooting and laughing and waving at us.

All of which is not the behavior of someone in actual fear of their safety; not someone genuinely expressing real feelings of his real fear to the dispatchers at the 911 call center.

Instead – laughing, hooting, hollering, and waving while repeatedly driving by.

Yeah – That’s a strange way to show fear.

We who were there for the appointment to see their PAC’s books decided to stay until 8:30, which we did, because we considered Gellatly may come back at 8, the time he chose for the meeting, in order to claim that we weren’t there so that’s why he didn’t produce the books.

Gellatly and Mattila never came by again and we left at 8:30 or so.

Apparently “Butters” Mattila called 911 during that time we saw him on his phone in the parking lot, but no deputy ever showed up, though a patrol vehicle did drive by at one point long after the Snivel Twins™ had left, but the patrol officer never paid any attention to us.

At no time did Mattila or his apparent consort appear to act afraid or concerned for their safety. Rather they appeared to be enjoying themselves with smiles and laughs. This seemed sophomorically comical to them.

Both Kevin Vangelder and Dan Clark were video recording what transpired. It looked like Mattila and Gellatly were also taking photos and or video of us at points throughout the encounter.

And his claim of an attempted kidnapping as heard in the 911 call?

According to the Clark county Sheriff and Vancouver PD, no report was ever made of an attempted kidnapping of either of those two.

Ever.

Clark County Sheriff letter no responsive records kidnapping

VPD Letter – No Responsive Records kidnapping

Isn’t making false statements to law enforcement a criminal act? I hope they aren’t making a knowingly false accusation that I was involved in any attempt to kidnap them, because that too is apparently a crime.

“Butters” Mattila really is a snowflake.

A whiny, liberal, crybaby snowflake.

He ought to turn in his TRUMP credentials and go snivel with the Democrats…

P.S.
You really should read the PDC complaint I filed, which has all the full details on this event and their attempt to hide the truth of their PAC’s financial records: Clark Leadership PAC complaint all documents

And the 911 dispatch call form:

911 call Clark Leadership

Tis the usual season of teacher extortion... or "strikes" as they like to call it.

There are certain things in life that are inevitable.

We've all heard the old saw of "death and taxes," of course, but to that short list we can now add "teacher extortion."

Al Capone had nothing on teacher unions, to be sure.  Each and every teacher strike is illegal in this state, but since most judges and other enforcement officials who can do something about it are leftists, typically, the "public employees can't go on strike" laws are ignored.

Now, most reading this are well are that our property taxes exploded in large part because the WEA bought off the GOP-controlled state senate (at the time) and "Republican" Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers who was negotiating with those scum at the same time she was being hired by a DEMOCRAT campaign firm (Strategies 360, to be precise) and, well, we've all felt the burn ever since.

The teacher's union, BEING the teacher's union, claims funds were "allocated" to jack up their pay.  The teachers of the Evergreed District, for example, are holding a gun to the heads of their students to the tune of the absurd demand that they get 30% over the next 3 years.  Ridgefield teaching scum just voted to go on strike; others will follow suit because here's the reality: NO NUMBER WILL EVER BE ENOUGH.

If they extorted $200,000 each THIS year, these same scum would demand $10,000 more next.

No amount will ever be enough.

To keep this all in perspective, they have a 183 day work-year (Of which many are "teacher conference" days and numerous "early release" days) of 7 hour days.

Their pay for the end product they produce is absurd.  They whine because they have to get Master's Degrees and they act like they had NO IDEA what the job paid when they became teachers or how much they'd get paid once they signed on the dotted line to actually stand up in a classroom.

Every time they'd go on strike in the past, they'd lie and tell us "it's for the children."

Well, that particular pill would be far too difficult to swallow THIS time, since we all know that the only issue is money... in THEIR pockets.

As I see it, you only have two options:

You can accept the outrageous amount of money you're already getting for what you do, the benefits most of us can only dream of, the retirement that is a mere dream for most of us in conditions that are simply unbelievable in schools that typically are built like malls these days, or you can quit.

In the interim, if you somehow think you're entitled to that money, then go to court and sue for it.

But these illegal strikes are nothing but extortion.  It's why I despise the teacher's unions and their supporters.

If you go on strike, those who see how immoral that is... those who see the lesson they teach to children; namely, that it's perfectly OK to engage in illegal activity for money, activity that breaks the law... should cross the picket lines and go to work with the other staff and substitutes who likely will be doing the same.

Once again, the teachers are holding our children hostage.  And once again, money in their pockets is the overarching reason.

Jaime Herrera's latest scam: electioneering at its worst.

So, Herrera is once again wasting our time on another go nowhere bill that does nothing... EXCEPT to make the people of the 3rd Congressional District THINK she's doing something about Oregon's toll scam.

The bill?

Stop Oregon from collecting their Washington State Welfare tolls unless both leftist governors approve.

Big whoop.

The obvious unconstitutional elements aside, like either leftist would NOT approve of this scam?

So, Jaime drops yet another pointless bill that will go nowhere, like the last pointless bill that she is so incompetent she couldn't even get out of the Republican controlled House... and all so she can confuse the voters at home into believing she's actually doing something to stop Oregon from tolling us.

It's not the first time she's done this and the outcome will be the same: nothing.

Meanwhile, she'll finally show up back home because she's in a fist-fight with our resident carpet-bagger.  For her part, Herrera thinks we're idiots.

She's rarely here and when she IS here, she holds town hall meetings with the frequency of a comet fly-by.

And now, she's dropped a bill that she'll TRY and sell as the cure-all to our tolling problems with Oregon.

Not that Herrera doesn't LOVE tolls, you understand.... she just doesn't want Oregon to collect them for whatever their purposes are... instead of Washington collecting them for the CRC/Loot Rail scam.

And Herrera knows that if Oregon gets these tolls?

The I-5 Bridge scam is toast.

So, in the end, Herrera is once again trying to fool us into thinking one thing while she's doing another.

Except those of us who know how the game is played no much, much, better.

And that's why *I* am going to write in Paul Ryan for her congressional seat.

After all, Herrera wrote him in for President, right?

And what's good enough for Jaime is good enough for me.

In my View: Columbian's Words Un-American

As the largest local disgrace to journalism in Southwest Washington, it's no surprise that the local daily democrat joined the other leftist propaganda centers in the print media and sniveled about the President.

The reality, however, is clear: there is no bigger embarrassment to journalism in the northwester United States then the cancer on our community known as the Columbian.

This disgrace to a free press does anything it can to further their agenda to shape our community into THEIR utopia.

And they've done it for years.

They single out and attack anyone of any stature who opposes that agenda.

For example, back when Marc Boldt was a Republican, this rag allowed it's late, unlamented editor, Tommy "The K" Keonninger, to stupidly and loudly demand that Boldt resign while he was in the House back in '97, in his "Three Nuts and a Boldt" column, such resignation to take place "before the voters throw him out."

Showing how tightly the democratian HAD the people's pulse in mind; Boldt, of course, went on to win his next 5 elections or so.

The reality is that the more Republican Boldt was, the more he was elected.  In this case, Koenninger threw a hissy fit when Boldt and other legislators here and in Oregon got together to cut the Columbia River Gorge Commission's budget as a tool to get them to realize that they were not the local version of the Central Committee of the Supreme Soviet.

This scumbag editor flipped out, and the result was, for example, death threats to the district office... which was me... that resulted in me carrying a gun, since Boldt told me not to report said threats.  And yes, I carried a gun at work.

THAT'S the kind of thing these scum do.

I'm sure that had I been shot... or Boldt had been shot, the scum running the rag would have disavowed any responsibility for that outcome.

Because you know what?

As much as the lowlifes who work there lie and have lied, they are NEVER wrong.

THEY, for example, will publicly speculate, make outrageous allegations, do the best they can to whip up the crowd into a torches and pitchfork lynch mob... and THEN tell us they aren't biased.

Of course they're biased.  They are so leftist that they let the morons masquerading as reporters have a blog or two to spew THEIR venom at anyone to the right of Mao... because, you know, allowing reporters to prove their bias is no worse, than, say, allowing a biased FBI agent to let Hillary off the hook.

Their seething hatred and lies against David Madore, who they see as mostly responsible for killing off the hated CRC/Loot Rail scam resulted in a years-long jihad by Lefty Lou Brancaccio that has yet to end, because any time any conservative runs for anything around here, what does the rag and their minions do?

Infer or allege that said conservatives are, God Forbid, "supported by Madore."

Jimmy Mains tried that shit when I first started beating on my politically worthless brother-in-law long before David Madore even began to run against him, claiming that *I* was beating up on Marc BECAUSE I WAS GETTING PAID TO DO SO.

I get it.  Mains is a leftist.  To be a leftist is to lie, to yourself and to others.

No, as far as I know, the carbuncle on our community never printed such a thing. But it's an illustration of the lies of the leftist mindset... and the rag has gone after anyone to the right FAR harder than they ever have to the left.

When Peter Van Nortwick first ran, Lying Lefty Lou brought up mental health issues... and they endorsed the democrat running against him EVEN THOUGH SHE HAD NEVER BOTHERED TO VOTE IN HER LIFE.

Would they have passed a BAC test?
Lefty then wound up to punch Brent Boger's lights out with his column of venom, being the bully-type leftist he is, until BS Morris and Craig Pridemore publicly bitchslapped him because Brent was one of their fellow leftists.  Brancaccio came to see the light, and he and Brent got blitzed at Lefty's house a while back... you remember this, right?

And then, the God of "Just For Men" hammered ME. and then got placated into thinking, stupidly as it turned out, that Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers dumped me from her campaign as a result.  But then, Lefty never was the brightest bulb on the tree, and manipulating that idiot was never that difficult, his smarmy, dumb ass emails to me notwithstanding.  (It was also the kind of thing Druggy Dave tried to use to beat me up... but then, he soon found out that Lefty had been scammed by Rivers.)

And of course, how many leftists has the rag covered for?

Who can forget Lefty's covering for Jim Jacks, disgraced former democrat legislator who I outed as having screwed around with staff in Olympia.  And of course, that sort of thing was just one of the MANY times the rag censored "speculation" as to why, exactly, Jacks was tossed.

I SAID why at the time.  But the democratian found itself unable to actually investigate and so, they wouldn't print what they knew... but I could at the time it happened... within minutes, actually... but because Jacks was a leftist, what did Lefty do to put the truth out there?

Nothing.
Hey everyone, I just wanted to get a few things out there.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to clear a few things up. I think I used some poor word choices earlier.
If there is found to be any wrongdoing pertaining to Jacks' duties as a public official, we will certainly write about them. But there have been no confirmed wrongdoings, and we won't print rumors. And we won't tolerate them on our website.

In order "to be found," one actually HAS TO LOOK.

And THAT never happened, did it?

So the rank, leftist scum at the rag can... and do... "speculate" all they like.  Lefty Lou's columns, frequently factless, are also frequently nothing BUT "speculation."

But when they're covering for a leftist?

Tsk, tsk... that simply won't do!

And the CRC/Loot Rail scam; a decade of lies, exaggerations and deliberate omission of salient facts Then, when the rag FINALLY finds out what CRC/Loot Rail opponents knew all along; mainly, that the CRC/Loot Rail scammers were, BY POLICY, ignoring the people on the CRC/Loot Rail issue, the rag gently slaps their wrist, tells us to ignore that despicable conduct and SUPPORT THE CRC SCAM REGARDLESS.
And going back to the CRC Scam; even when Lefty actually ACKNOWLEDGED what a screw up the process had been, he supported it ANYWAY.
"There have been so many missteps on this Columbia River Crossing project that if it was entered on "Dancing With The Stars," it would be voted off before Mike Tyson. It's just mess after mess. The tomfoolery is epic. Even its most ardent supporters would agree with this. For me, I hold my nose and close my eyes, and say we should move forward."

Yup.  Let the downtown mafia screw this community.   Let them lie.  Let them manipulate.  Let them make us think they actually give a damn what we want... what we think... and what we care about.

Don't demand anyone's resignation or hold those behind this travesty of tens of millions of dollars accountable for anything and, by God, build that massive rip off ANYWAY.

There are many, many, MANY more examples of the lies, the despicable conduct, the cover ups, the rank dishonesty and the damage these scum have caused... and are causing... this community.

Does the rag in their little "whinefest" mention that or take responsibility for it?

I haven't even read this tripe yet and I already know the answer

There's nothing like the daily democrat's rank hypocrisy... which is FAR more routine and un-American than anything the president has said or done.

Leftists hate President Trump for the usual reasons, but primarily because he humiliated many, including this despicable rag, by making them look like blithering idiots when he won the election and these oh, so, superior leftist scum knew... just KNEW he was going to lose.

Well, he didn't.  And for those like the whiny little bitches at the local rag, I have just the thing to fix the discomfort:

Here ya go.

Find the irritated areas and, well, apply it "liberally," shall we say?

You've only got six more years to get used to the guy.

But since THAT will never happen, then get used to being scorned, hated and vilified because let's face it.  This despicable thing IS, in fact, the very thing the President alleges: an enemy of the people.

If the rag doesn't want want him, or me, or anyone else to not believe they're a pack of liars, the solution is simple: be fair.  Tell the truth.  Knock off writing anything about your opinion which don't matter and which no one, ultimately, cares about.  Stick to the facts.  Presume your readers can think for themselves without any help from you.  And STOP WHINING when you're held accountable for your lies and efforts at manipulation... because guess what: that ain't covered under the "freedom of the press."

Meanwhile, the designation fits.  Over the decades, you've earned it.

You deserve it.

What it's like living in Gellatly's head.

Saturday at the PCO meeting, you'd have thought that the recent embarrassment and waste of money represented by the "Be Bold" idiocy was the greatest political advance since the hanging chad.

It wasn't.

But our drugged out chair is not only convinced that it is.... (And how much was Bitner paid for this stupidity?) he and his minions can't shut up about it.

Well, I disagree with Snowman.  For me, the reason is obvious.  For the first time in years, several allegedly GOP candidates who SHOULD have won their primaries failed to do so.  Many others are far too close for comfort.

But Druggy is SOOOOO convinced of his omnipotence that he feels compelled to share his disdain with other RINO's.... in this case, Lefty Lew Waters:

The reasons are obvious, of course: the incompetent leadership of the Party by this moron is high on the list.

A slate of mainly RINO candidates that kept the base home in droves.

Incompetent advice by fake Republicans that some were moronic enough to listen to.  (Larry Hoff?  You paying attention?  It's not like I didn't warn your dumb ass.)

And yes, as he usually does, Gellatly has made his excuses: "Dems was obviously even more so but expected."[sic]

Yeah.  Their turnout exploded while Gellatly and his thugs depressed GOP turnout dramatically, comparatively speaking.

Because here's the thing:

I've been all over this county over the months and you know what I DIDN'T see?

Any signs by democrats begging their people to turn out and vote.

So, when you compare turnouts in this county, it would seem that the democrats were a little bolder.... and all without wasting a cent on pathetic signs that were the brain child of a pathetic GOP chair.

The question, then, is this: would any of the morons like Hoff who disgraced himself in the 18th district have done even WORSE (if that's possible) without this stupid advertising campaign?

How much did it cost the party?  When are these people going to start to fund candidates?

It's nice to know, however, that our theft afflicted, druggy chair reads my little effort that he so publicly despises... considering how many times he fed me information about that whack-job Crain.

So, what's it like inside that vacuous space?

In between snow storms, the echo is loud and endless.  It's weird that someone who takes so much delight in attacking, belittling and threatening me would follow along so closely with what I've written.

Let me leave a little memo for you, Davey:  Figures don't lie, but liars figure.  Just like your lies about how much money the Lincoln Day Dinner after the Tommy Cleavage debacle, your conclusions about how much more the turnout is and why it is what it is are as factual and justified as any of the rest of your lies.

You pull a number out of thin air.  You fail to mention that turnout was abysmally low for the primary in 2016 as well... at 32%.

Further, you naturally left out what the breakout numbers were if you have them... so instead, you threw out a random number as if you were telling the truth.

Whatever the GOP voter numbers were, clearly the democrats did much, much better than you.

And the reasons are simple: you and your cult have shattered the party, killed fundraising, failed to plan (For example, you didn't even know, of your own admission, that the endorsement/vetting committee had no members and had not met) which is, of course, just another one of your many abysmal failures.

The local democrats out think, out lead, out managed, our executed, out communicated and they were, in effect, able to do everything that YOU managed to screw up.

And you know what?

I doubt that they threatened any of their most devoted followers like you have, Davey.  And I also doubt that they lied about the money they've made off their JJ Dinners, or attempted to "defame" someone (and since we all know about how you feel about BEING "defamed," you scumbag...) nor did they sue any of their PCO's and electorally, they kicked YOUR head in.

Have to wonder how they managed to achieve so much success without doing anything to shatter THEIR party organization around here.... or paying for moronic, idiotic, say nothing, do nothing signs.

"Confused?"  Of course you were,  But to get away from confusion first requires you to achieve a state of sobriety.

If your lame campaign had made any real difference, these disgraceful results of your running the local GOP into the ground wouldn't look like this.

If you knew what you were doing as the guy running this show, these disgraceful results of your running the local GOP into the ground wouldn't look like this.

And no amount of whining on another RINO's thread is going to change any of that.

The responsibility for the political outcomes around here begins and ends with you.

ALLLLLL you.

And when you got involved, there was nowhere for the Party to go except down.  And you and your RINO cult have obligingly made that happen.

More sickening Crain hypocisy.

One of the biggest issues confronting the local GOP is the acidic impact on the Party by Carolyn Crain.

Much of that has been documented in these pages... for example, her fake Republican PAC which was designed to make sure a conservative wasn't elected council chair in 2015... when she rabidly supported the hopelessly-over-his-head Marc Boldt... and who again endorsed Boldt for THIS election over the only Republican running for county chair in this election, Eileen Quiring.

Eileen, of course, is a conservative Republican.  Crain, to the everlasting shame of the Clark County GOP is a RINO, conservative hating, Republican Precinct Committee Officer.

Crain isn't the only one, of course: the RINO scum former GOP chairs behind the hate letters attacking fellow Republicans running for PCO (Eleventh Commandment? WHAT Eleventh Commandment?) had her fingerprints all over them, and now, of course, she wants us all to pull to pull together and vote for her RINO list.

Yet, she has no problem ditching the GOP whenever the mood strikes has she has done in the last two elections for Boldt.

In spite of the RINOs continuing to support Boldt, he was hopelessly crushed in the primaries with 22 percent, no thanks to this hypocrite.

And now, having been humiliated by her efforts to torpedo the only Republican running for the county chair position, she's had an epiphany:

"Super excited?"

She had done everything she could to saddle us with that clueless idiot Boldt... again... and he got clobbered.

NOW all of a sudden, she's "super excited" to have the GOP endorse Eileen Quiring?

The PCO's made a huge mistake today for reasons that escape me:  Prior to endorsements, which were supposed to have recommendations from the endorsement committee that the simple moron Chair didn't care enough about to make sure was up and running, there was no discussion of any of these candidates.  Many of them, including Jaime Herrera, would NOT have been endorsed since the 2/3rds rule was in effect.

That's a discussion that needed to happen before the endorsement votes.  Just like Crain needed to be asked.... in public... why she tried so hard to hurt the GOP in this election like she's done in the past.

And, I would point out that the main reason the meeting was so "calm," was for the most part, Crain kept her RINO pie-hole shut.

Gellatly, for his part, did his usual miserable job, but Crain is all about ignoring the issues Druggy carries around like luggage while she kisses the RINO regime's ass.

The divide in the party, emphasized moronically by Joel Mattila in his opening remarks Saturday, is bigger than ever.  The complete lack of leadership made Mattila playing the role of the village idiot inevitable.  He wants to be national delegate again he tells us.

As it turns out, he's not even going to be running a political elevator.

Of course, those on Crain's little list; Hutchison, Stewart, Hoff and Weber are likely toast.

While our worthless congresswoman will likely be sent back, it will be close.  Do you actually help the woman who has betrayed her constituents so many times.... including voting against the repeal of Obamacare?

When she did that, who, exactly, was she representing?  Why is she so deserving of the RINO slavish devotion these people show?  What has she done FOR us, instead of TO us?

As for me, for over a decade, I've left the door open for Jaime Herrera to earn my vote. That door has now slammed shut. (With a minor apology to Ridgefield Barbie, who said "For months I've left the door open for Donald Trump to earn my vote. That door has now slammed shut." )

I'll be returning the favor she did for us by following her own example by writing in Paul Ryan for her seat.... just like she wrote Ryan in for president.

Kraft is in for a full-on fistfight. Is the local party doing all they can to help?  What about her own Caucus?  What about her seat mates, Rep. Paul Harris and Sen. Lynda "Property Tax" Wilson?

I get that the Wilsons and their pit yorkie, Steve Nelson, have likely screwed up Hoff's campaign beyond repair.  But that doesn't mean they can't transfer campaign dollars to Kraft.

Have they done so?

Atkins and Kimsey aren't running, and Kimsey could care less whether the local GOP endorsed him or not.

Crain has done and is doing geometrically more damage to the local GOP brand than anyone, outside of Gellatly. The democrats sit there... laugh... and eat popcorn because that nutjob is doing far more damage to the local GOP than all the democrats put together.

With people like that shooting off their collective mouths, is it any wonder the GOP had such a miserable showing in our recent primary election?  Will it be any wonder that the miserable showings continue as long as fake Republicans like Crain are involved?

Brent Boger, acting like a full on baby: "I didn't really want to win my PCO race anyway."

Thankfully, Brent Boger lost his PCO election to Connie Joe Freeman and effective in January when the Reorganization happens, he will no longer be a formal part of the RINO clique of the party.

His response to his defeat was, essentially, two-fold:

1.  I didn't really want it, and
2.  You all are amateurs who don't know what you're doing.

Both are utter nonsense.

Seriously.  That's what he wrote on Liz Pike's page before he Gellatlied his post:
Brent David Boger - I’m really not unhappy at all about losing. I was ready to move on. I only ran because I thought they might need my vote at reorganization.

Most PCO’s are like insect drones mating. Once they vote for leadership, they don’t have much purpose other than flailing around and fading away.

I may have lost, but you lost Berrigan, Delavar, Colwell, Silliman, Standal, Hotrum, Heckler, Rohan, Decker, Moon, Warren, Halle, Svehaug, Emerson, Ley, Cox, Austen, a Van Gelder, and two Metzgers.

That’s a nice trade for not having to go to these aggravating meetings any more or to Lincoln Day Dinners. I win all the way around by losing an irrelevant election as a result of outcomes in other precincts.
His list is inaccurate at this point: some of these names actually won their seats when additional counts had them picking up the needed votes.

Naturally, her failed to mention the hate mail his RINO sect sent out, replete with outright lies and exaggerations that caused many of these results.

That said, Boger and his ilk in the Party bubble simply can't count.  When reorg happens, the very thing this political moron claims isn't going to happen, WILL happen.

And who knew that Boger thought of himself as a drone while he was a PCO?

And that said, if you really didn't want the gig, then why sign up to run?

If you don't really want to be reelected as a PCO, do you really go to the trouble of setting up a PCO campaign page?  I mean, why would you do that?

https://www.facebook.com/Re-elect-Brent-Boger-Republican-PCO-228705171097180/?hc_location=group

Are these the actions of a guy who doesn't really want the gig?

And then, when people set him straight, his playground response included garbage like this:
Brent David Boger -  Kathy Metzger Don't lecture me on character. You're little cult is out. Goodbye.
Boger and the rest of the RINOs, for their part, can't count.

Many of the PCO seats for the next two years will be filled by individuals like me:  Conservatives who filed at the last minute for unoccupied/uncontested seats.

The Boger clown types base their "invulnerability" shtick based ONLY on the outcome of the contested races those scum poisoned in the abortive effort to keep control of the party.

Then, there was this beauty:
Brent David Boger - You are, all of you, amateurs. And serious governmental affairs should never be run by amateurs. Do you have any idea of what sort of place you have created by acting on your ignoble instincts? What you need is not hyper-right politicians, but real ones. You need professionals to run your affairs, or you're headed for disaster! (With apologies to Kazuo Ishiguro)
Shortly afterwards, I arrived at the thread and nailed Boger to a tree.  His immediate response was to delete his idiotic posts, but not before they were screen captured:
Boger: "You are, all of you, amateurs. And serious governmental affairs should never be run by amateurs."

Says the sitting city councilman and Assistant city Attorney for Vancouver that just got his ass kicked in his own precinct by one of those very "amateurs."

Yeah. And Druggy is a professional, right?

Was Brent's buddy, Shawn Guard, who he used to email me what he believed to be damaging information for my blog a "professional?" Were those professional texts that Boger defended him over?

Went to a church awhile back (Ron Hart's, actually) and he would occasionally remind us that the Titanic was built by experts... and the Ark was built by amateurs.

That the lies the establishment scum sent out seemed to have an impact doesn't make those who ran anything but concerned about the damage Boger and the rest of the RINO morons are causing.
And democrat gains in THIS election?

He and his fellow RINO's need to look around in ever-shrinking concentric circles that end directly in the middle of their chests.

And by the way, Brent, I DO "know why," and it doesn't have a damned thing to do with what you're babbling.

Hoff and the morons running his show don't have a clue. Gillespie is working her ass off and Hoff is mailing it in because those clueless idiots running his show told him all he had to do is stand there and they'd take care of the rest.

"Realignment" doesn't mean squat when you're too lazy and too stupid to do the work.

Idiot.
As I pointed out, Boger immediately took his posts down when I nailed him here.

Now, the point of posting all of this is to illustrate the arrogance and stupidity of the Gellatly Cult running the GOP.

They think what they think.  As Boger admitted, the fake "big tent" doesn't have room for anyone to the right of Mao.

These same scum will, of course, demand the same party loyalty they ignore whenever they feel like it.

Clearly, to be one of these slimeballs is to be a political hypocrite.

Any idea that the local Party is unified is absurd on its face.  Boger's babble is an expose' of that exact, same thing.

There's little interest in working with these scum.  There's much more interest in politically neutering those like Boger, Crain and that ilk and in December, that is exactly what will happen.

This is a direct result of a complete lack of competent leadership, planning and execution.  Those running the show... or who THINK they're running it, have no more idea of competent volunteer organization management and leadership than they do about performing a breast augmentation.

And we all suffer for it.

Julie Olson: local GOP smacks her and gets a message.

It's fairly clear that the leadership of the local party seems to be in the midst of a (drug induced?) bubble of self-denial and self-delusion.

I went to the quarterly PCO meeting held illegally at prospective endorsee Julie Olson's restaurant... far too small to hold the number of people who SHOULD have shown up.

Like most candidates/elected, if she was there, I didn't see her.  (NOTE:  I'm told she was there.)  (I DID see Kraft, Weber, VanNortwick, Hinds. Wilson was also there as she is a PCO I believe.) But given the apparently illegal nature of the meeting being located at Olson's restaurant, it was probably better that she was gone, although Jennifer McDaniel was there.

The rest, included our embattled empty suit of a congresswoman, simply didn't care.

Brent Boger was there, having been buried in HIS PCO race by Connie Jo Freeman, looking more like he'd just stepped in dog poop than he usually did.  (According to Boger, WE are ALL "amateurs... yet he couldn't win his own PCO race.)

It started with a smarmy pile of dung delivered by the apparently quite clueless Joel Mattila, who took the opportunity to slam the PCO candidates who lost as a result of the RINO-sponsored hate mail campaign, referring to them in his opening remarks as "the Swamp" as he rather stupidly... and falsely...proclaimed the new "unity" that resulted... except the boy clearly can't count.

We're told, "well, if we lose the House and there's an impeachment vote, we'd want Jaime to be taking that vote."

As I was sitting there listening to Matilla's self-important horseshit, I was thinking, "why would we want that?  Our resident congressional twatwaffle just got done telling us that she doesn't know if she'd vote for impeachment or not."

To my mind, Herrera, who has routinely trashed the President since her started running for the gig, is just as likely to vote to betray us AGAIN (having betrayed us with her vote against Obamacare repeal) if such a vote were to ever take place as she did the last time it mattered.

There wasn't a lot of bloodletting.  For reasons that escaped me, Kenny Smith suggested that the party just endorse everyone on the ballot with an "R" after their name.

I didn't understand that.  I believe that in the best of circumstances, each candidate seeking the endorsement of the local party is worthy of a discussion to go over what they have... and haven't done.  I believe a thorough discussion of what candidates/incumbents have done or failed to do is always in order.

But the party hierarchy, being as totally incompetent as they are, according to Druggie just didn't really know that those on the vetting committee didn't happen to have 1-year terms... so instead of KNOWING that like all chairs had to know it before, when he found out, what did he do?

Nothing.

And when the time came to go over the endorsement committee's work, well, guess what?

No committee on endorsements.  No recommendations.

I can understand that.  Candidate vetting is a not a particularly fun exercise.  Had such a committee worked Gellatly over, there is no way.... NO WAY... he wouldn't have been allowed to become Chair.

And now that his chairmanship has set the bar so low, any MS13 thug can get the job.

Slavish devotion to a label turned on and off like a switch (Look up Carolyn Crain's endorsement of non-Republican Marc Boldt over Eileen Quiring in the county chair race and the fact that none of the past RINO chairs had endorsed Quiring for the primary, either... although 3 of them endorsed non-Republican Marc Boldt) doesn't inspire confidence.  Coming up with across-the-board recommendations for the RINO slate would have been bad form.

But there is no excuse... none... for this....yet another failure on the part of Gellatly.

Then, of course, we find out why the 49th had no Republican candidates and why we found out there was no GOP treasure candidate:

Because, God Help Us, Carolyn Crain is in charge of outreach.

That explains why the party continues to get clobbered in the 49th.

How did THIS stupidity work out for us?
The moronic and abortive "Be Bold" campaign was lied about repeatedly.  We were told it was the greatest thing since canned beer.  That other counties have asked for signs... that, by golly, the STATE GOP even wants that insanity.

We're also told that the local GOP is now overflowing with volunteers as a direct result of that idiocy.

But that's what those in the bubble told us... repeatedly.

It's a lie, of course, but expecting these idiots to admit to a mistake is as likely as finding a 1000 barrel a day oil well in your back yard.

How do I know it's not true?

Simple.

Politics is like any other business.  Success or failure is measured by the outcomes.

And the outcomes in Clark County were close to uniformly miserable in the primary.

Neither Gellatly nor any of his cult took any kind of responsibility for these miserable outcomes.  Because, you know.... NOTHING is THEIR fault, right?

The GOP got clobbered across the board.  Excuses from the RINOs calling the shots came left and right.  But they had no solutions that will work and they failed to mention any possibility of an idea of what went wrong... what's GOING wrong... and what will happen when most of the candidates in trouble now will be beaten by democrats who shouldn't have come close.

So, what happened about the GOP endorsements?

Lacking a committee recommendation, a 2/3rds majority of PCO's present would have been required to endorse.

How embarrassing would it have been for Herrera when she failed to reach that number?  And I knew she wouldn't, had the votes for endorsement of all candidates gone forward.

Instead, all non-GOP contested races were auto-endorsed, missing a golden opportunity to pay Herrera back for all she's done "for" us.

But THAT meant Julie Olson's race WAS going to be voted on individually; since her opponent, Elisabeth Veneman, also ran as a Republican (oddly, no democrat ran in that race... although one can only wonder why) and voted on it was.

The problem for Olson?

The vote was 31 to 25 for endorsement... not even close to the 2/3rds requirement.

As a result, there will be no endorsement in the county council position 2 race, a humiliating defeat for a sitting, allegedly Republican incumbent and her RINO fellow travelers.

That outcome sent a message to Olson... and it SHOULD have sent a message to the party hierarchy.

But it won't.  Their bubble hasn't yet been popped... and Gellatly/Mattila seem bent on acting like political scum at all costs... which is bizarre when you consider that they don't have to act that way.

The RINO Establishment think the war is over and they've won it.

They have no idea.

Meanwhile, The Wilson Brain Trust did such a completely miserable job in Hoff's race (Like nobody saw that coming?) that they actually sent a field director down here to not only continue working in the 17th, but also to try and undo the tremendous damage the RINO morons running Hoff's show have done in the 18th.

Hoff's opponent, Gillespie, has been working her ass off.  Hoff has been mailing it because of the morons who've been running his show.  But in the end, that's no one's fault but his.

The RINOs lost a GOP seat they didn't need to lose.

Well done, folks.

Too little.... too late.
