It is this kind of monumental bitching, whining and moaning that makes me sick when it comes to teachers.
One teacher in particular is pitching a fit under the comments section in the Lazy C on their editorial supporting this miniscule paycut our poor, overworked, put upon and underpaid teachers have to go thru to help balance the state's budget, because, of course, teachers believe themselves to be so special that the Obama trainwreck economy should only impact those of us forced to pay their salaries.
Jeff Johnson · Secondary School Teacher at Evergreen Public Schools
Johnson, of course, fails to mention what HIS pay is. After all, finding out what this guy gets in compensation this year as a number kind of blows the whine right out of his, well, wine.
So, here's the numbers for Mr. Johnson. Prepare to be amazed at his whining hypocrisy.
Base salary: $57,633
That's right. This clown makes $86,522 in total compensation, and he's whining like he made minimum wage.
If you don't like the unbelievably high amount of money we're paying you for your part time, 7 hour, 183 day work year... if you don't hit your knees every night to thank God you HAVE a job that pays these unbelievable amounts of money for what you do and the typically piss-poor product you produce...
Then quit.
Get the hell out. But I am monumentally sick of your whining, bitching and sniveling. Just go away. Get the hell out of my classroom, because we can hire TWO teachers for what we're paying YOU.
And you won't be missed.
UPDATE: Within moments of my posts busting a cap in Johnson for his exorbitant salary the post, along with the whining of Johnson and others was removed from the comments section.
And how weird is that.
.
What this article fails to mention, and which is incredibly important to remember, is that Public School teachers HAVE ALREADY endured pay cuts over the past three years, and so this most recent cut wouldn't be the first! We've already shared in the sacrifices that the private sector has also had to experience.

Well, here's my invitation to everyone employed working for the government generally and working as teachers specifically:
