Clark County Politics

"You will never be the best version of yourself if you allow other people to convince you, you can't be better because of your skin color, because of your sexual identity, because of the community you came from... you must resist those narratives at all costs if you truly want to be successful in America." - Charley Kirk

Be smart: DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

For both supporters and haters, do not fricking drink and drive.

Don't EVER do it, but ESPECIALLY tonight.  The entire police community is going to be out there.

The life you save may not only be your own, but someone you don't even know... and you do not want this on your conscience or that of your family.

Be smart.  Think beyond the moment.

DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

Democratian true to form: democrats in charge of Prisons and State Government shouldn't be held accountable for their screw-ups.

An estimated 3200 felons have been let out of prison early.

At least one person is dead as a result.

But because those in charge are democrats?

You'll see no call for the resignation of the Governor, who is ultimately responsible, or for the clown in charge of Corrections, appointed by this idiot who is, ultimately, responsible.

This is yet another of the various signs of the rag's institutional double-standard concerning the political left and the political right.

If you are a conservative, they will do all they can to crush you.  Recently, those millions of dollars of in-kind contributions, combined with the intransigence of our RINO population, combined to implement the democratian's political agenda as if they were being paid for it.

If you are to the left of Mao, you get a pass.  In everyone from a drunk, assaultive then-Rep. Jim Jacks to the arrogance and irresponsibility of Jimmy Moeller to their campaign of lies on the CRC, legalizing pot, and their most recent creation, fringe-leftist Marc Boldt.

Lie to get elected? No problem if they like you.

So, instead of demanding accountability in the form of firings, what do those morons tell us?

"Error in Corrections computer program could have been fixed before death."

No shit.

You see, I don't care how sorry the sorriest governor in the United States is.  That won't bring that woman back to life.

I don't care that this started before either Shake and Bake got the job or the Corrections Secretary HE appointed got his.

The idea that either of them didn't find out about this issue shortly after they got the job is as insane as Inslee making a complete fool of himself over at the Paris carbon conference he went to on our dime when he wasn't invited.  It's as insane as Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers lying to us about her support of gas tax and tab fee increases.  It's as insane as the local RINO's pissing all over the local GOP to get a democrat elected because they hate conservatives and hold us in complete disdain.

Now the big question is "what did they know and when did they know it."

We, of course, will now be blown away by the left's coverage of the efforts to fix this issue NOW, more than 10 years after the problem surfaced.  And oddly, while the morons at the democratian have indicated that, perhaps, legislators should be JAILED for failing to jump through the Supreme Court's hoop on the McCleary scam... are certainly NOT going to suggest the same thing for the government incompetence that led to a woman's death and other criminal acts that are related directly to this insipid stupidity of an incompetent Administration.

The rag, being a leftist mouth-organ, is "eagerly awaiting the independent report and the news that the sentencing software has been fixed."

Knowing that this is likely to cost the taxpayers of this state additional millions... tens of millions... knowing that those in charge are on a desperate witch hunt to find scape goats... knowing the phrase "I take full responsibility" is as empty and hollow as it is when any other politician uses it UNLESS THEY RESIGN... then what we're seeing from the local cancer on our community is just another campaign to cover up for those who ultimately bear full responsibility for everything that happens on their watch.

But has the rag has proven: when they like you, they like you.

When they hate you, they Madore you.

Not even a pretense of truth.  Not even a pretense of fairness.  Not even a pretense of holding anyone to the left of Lenin accountable.

Nope... at least one person is DEAD for reasons directly attributable to the democrat politicians running this state.

And to the scum at the democratian, that's far less important than the political destruction of the leading conservatives of this county.  You're never going to see a jihad against Inslee like the one they've mounted against conservatives in Clark County.

It's all a matter of priorities, you see.

The clueless idiots and the CRC scam.

In mid December, someone of my acquaintance wrote this:
I've been in traffic for an hour and 10 minutes to get from Richfield to Delta park this morning oh my goodness do we need a new bridge or what
Texting while driving, eh?  Someone of your age should know better.  Must be group think, considering Boldt put lives at risk while he does it.

And, it's uh, actually "Ridgefield."

And then, this same ignorant twit wrote this:
Not only has David Madore taken this county back years in government issues he helped move us back 10 years in our transportation system. The money it costs companies and county residents in lost wages and time can never be replaced.
Firstly, when you have people who fail to pay attention to what's going on around them, and who have a rank bias against someone, they can display this variety of ignorance at the drop of a hat... at a moment's notice... when it fits their meme.

Had this person been possessed with the brains of a gnat, they would have known that even had the I-5 Bridge been replaced, according to the CRC's own study, their drive in that direction would have been less than 60 seconds shorter timewise... but also would have cost them $8 to start, with ever-increasing tolls after that..

Further, it wasn't Madore who killed the CRC rip off.  He merely paid for the professional accountant who came in and began to expose the corruption, the back room deals, the efforts to shut the people out of the equation by policy.  It was the efforts of Sen. Ann "Gas Tax - Bridge Killer" Rivers and Sen. Don Benton in the Senate who buried that crap pile.

Rivers, I'm given to understand, has put her contempt for one of the people of this family aside and is now over at this household for dinners and social functions.

And I have to wonder: since Rivers was, perhaps, the main player who killed this crap pile in the Washington State Senate (Sadly, only to rape us with her later gas tax betrayal,) will this same person ever confront her on this project?

Likely, no.  Because that seems to be the kind of rank hypocrite they are.

This is the kind of Christianity that sickens me.  As examples of hatred, it's difficult to find better.

As examples of hypocrisy, it's impossible to find better.

Secondly, if the costs were all that... then why are so many of these companies... and people... bleeding money all, to hear this twit tell it... actually moving here?  You'd think people would be moving away from here in droves, and we certainly wouldn't have 60,000 people commuting every day to the other side of the river... I mean, as horrific as the commute is, if this idiot is to be believed, they'd certainly move (back) to Oregon, wouldn't they?

I have not voted for David Madore.  But I believe him to be someone well-meaning, unlike the witch who wrote this stuff and unlike my lying brother-in-law.  And had Madore not come on the scene because of Boldt's well-documented betrayal of the people of this county with his rabid support of loot rail and a new, unneeded, unwanted, unaffordable, unnecessary light rail project, that agony would be visited on us right now, and in addition to Rivers' gas tax rip off of $700 million, we would have been hung with a toll bill of roughly $4 to $5 billion for a bridge that would have accomplished absolutely nothing save for the infection of loot rail into Clark County.

And for that, anything else aside, I owe him a debt of gratitude... and my brother-in-law, Marc Boldt, my undying enmity.

But if you're going to shoot off your mouth on social media, you'd best know what the hell you're talking about.

And clearly, the moron who wrote this garbage does not.

Marc Boldt? The democratian's Great White Hope.

The revisionist hypocrite who wrote today's garbage editorial seems to have forgotten all about the nightmare of Boldt's last stab at governance.

They wrote this tripe:
That would be a welcome improvement. With Councilor David Madore lording over the council since his election in 2012, typically with Councilor Tom Mielke in lock-step, the county has embraced a series of questionable decisions that have served more as wedge issues than as effective governance. In recent months, with the expansion of the council imminent, Madore has been particularly active in pursuing his particular vision for Clark County.
Well, let me remind them of the recent past:
That would be a welcome improvement. With Commissioner Steve Stuart  lording over the council since he was first elected, typically with Comnmissioner Marc Boldt in lock-step, the county has embraced a series of questionable decisions that have served more as wedge issues than as effective governance.
You see, while Boldt was blowing Tom Mielke off by ignoring him for 4 years, there was none of this crap about "representative government at it's most effective."

The plain fact is that in the warped minds of those calling the shots at the democratian, the ONLY time "representative government is at its most effective" is when that government is obeying the democratian agenda.

Let that "representative government" actually implement the will of the people when that will conflicts with the democratian world-view and all hell breaks loose.

The people of this county rejected Boldt and his view in 2012.  They rejected his lock step votes with Stuart, his deliberate lies and his decision to ignore the will of the people on the CRC Scam, which, had he voted and acted like a Republican, would have seen him maintain his seat and stopped the RINO's and leftists from cursing us with this scam charter.

Yes, a new day is ending.  And it's going to be a bleak, cold, rainy night in Clark County.

For months, this rag lied about the motivations of the charter scam.  Until the very end, when Lying Lefty Lou admitted the truth... which is more than he usually does... which, simply stated, was that the whole thing was being done to overturn the 2012 election.

Unfortunately for us, like most of the C3G2 haters, Boldt will be governing out of hatred.  He is driven by arrogance, driven by revenge, driven by motives that are anything BUT decent and honorable.

He has never once acknowledged his shortcomings that led to his ouster as a commissioner, and he is bent on bringing the CRC Scam back to life, one way or the other, and raising our taxes (again) and fees (again) and generally making government much more expensive.

And the irony of all of this is clear:  Boldt will NEVER agree with Madore on anything this cancer on our community DISAGREES with him on.  And, as shown by the rag's lies on the cross-river transportation issues confronting us, there is little to nothing the rag supports concerning David Madore, save for his summary political execution, which they would applaud for days.

The reality is clear: unlike the tripe these scum printed:
In the end, Boldt and Olson might wind up agreeing with Madore on some issues and disagreeing on others. That is when representative government is at its most effective.
Representative government is most effective when it actually REPRESENTS.

Disagreement with the will of the people is NEVER effective.

And the love affair between the rag and my brother-in-law is permanent as he has long since switched his allegiance from the GOP to the democratian and will never, ever cross them.

The rag and their fellow leftists, from Brent Boger and Ann Donnelly all the way to Jack Burkman and BS Morris and Lying Lefty Lou Brancaccio own this insanity.

And Marc will never, ever disagree with them on any matter of importance.  Because he will have precisely no where to go when they begin to hammer on him if he does.

While as Lying Lefty has frequently pointed out, Marc ain't the sharpest blade in the draw (Which is what makes him so easy for his fringe-left buddies to play him...) he also ain't THAT stupid.

And the dreariness of years befell us this morning.  And it will get much, much darker until the "new dawn" actually takes place... fringe-left scum notwithstanding.

The nightmare that will be 2016 on the political/domestic front

Exclusive of the agony of a Boldt Regime here locally, as each day goes by at the national level and the Founding Fathers spool up their spin to even greater revolutions in their respective resting places, does anyone remotely believe that 2016 isn't liable to be our worst year this century?

We have an out of control president who would put Juan Peron AND Evita to shame... and who, come to think of it, actually gives Mussolini a run for his money in both style and substance.

We have a gutless, stick-in-the-mud, out-of-touch GOP that is SUPPOSED to reign him in and instead would be convicted in any court of aiding and abetting the Administration's multiple, numerous, uncountable high crimes and misdemeanors and yet, who do nothing but get played like a Stradivarius.

We have two fringe-left senators and worthless coward; oddly, a representative of the ilk, as our utterly worthless, do-nothing, know-nothing congresswoman.

We've lost control of local government which is now entirely socialist in majority.

We're getting our collective ass kicked around the world; terrorist attacks in this country are increasing in rate and tempo, no one has a viable plan to deal with our security; millions of illegals infest us and our borders are a sieve.

There is no light in the tunnel that isn't attached to an oncoming train.

Back when the simple idiot in the White House was elected, I wrote the following:
Thoughts on a dismal night. (5 Nov 08)
It’s 4 a.m. as I write this.  This country in its infinite wisdom has accomplished two things tonight: we’ve elected the worst possible choice for president and we’ve set the tone for decades to come for most all upcoming elections.
And it’s hard to tell which is worse at this point.
“Change” is what was offered.  “Change,” to a greater or lesser degree, is what we’re gonna get.
Change to what remains to be seen, but it doesn’t look like any positive view that I can see.
I’m not going to replay the many valid arguments against electing Obama.  The cult of personality has achieved the impossible in the face of a wide variety of common-sense reasons why he should not have made this happen.  Stupidity, ignorance, and hatred on a wide scale have won out.  In the words of then local Congresswoman Jolene Unseold upon the stunning Republican tide of 1994 (and her removal from office by a write-in candidate, Linda Smith) “The winds of hate have swept the land,” she told us.
The very real and negative impacts to this country will, ultimately, have to be experienced to be believed. The primary problem is this: will they be believed, even when they happen; or will a mass media, having set itself up as Obama’s PR arm, continue to violate the public trust by acting to spin, to mitigate, to censor their own information to re-enforce him has “the one?”
The mainstream media colluded to achieve Obama’s election.  By any statistical or other summary, any pretense of fairness or objectivity was never present when they reported.  Issues that would have destroyed any other candidacy were ignored, belittled, censored or swept under the rug.  As a result, this country has elected a man to the most powerful office on the planet when he otherwise would be disqualified from holding high security clearances because of his relationship with at least one known terrorist.
Mainstream media has a vested outcome in Obama’s success.  Were he to fail or be anything but an outstanding, at-least-as-good-as-Lincoln president, then the mainstream media’s undeniable culpability in his elevation would be too obvious to be denied.  In short, Obama is a creation of the MSM, lacking any other substance, and the people of this country have bought into his packaging… packaging accomplished by a less than fair media.  Essentially, they own him.  And since they own him, his continued popularity is their number one concern.
And now, the leading democrat candidate, HillBilly, has committed enough criminal acts to spend the rest of her life in prison... instead, these same clowns that shilled... lied for... and covered up for Obama to get him elected are cheerfully going along with HillBilly's program to get HER elected.

This, then, will be a year of lies in the political realm; a year of increasing failure in foreign policy and a year of horrific failure in domestic policy while terrorist attacks ramp up and our government remains clueless in how or what to do about them... save pounding the drum for taking our guns away from us.

Meanwhile, the Establishment/Mainstreamer GOP will continue their ostrich act and keep their heads buried firmly in the sand.

I saw the microcosm of this in 2000, when the establishment GOP Executive Board lost their minds when their candidate lost to Benton for state party chair.

Now, the nightmare is spooling up at the national level.  And we will have pain to show for it.

The capacity of the voter to accept the lie.

In yet another reason to avoid the waste of time known as these debates, we discover yet another of the many blatant falsehoods those on display frequently use: the lie.

I, for one, am sickened by these violations of public trust.  When I discover them... and enough proof to make a case... I frequently bring them to the attention of my readers, regardless of party.

(I can't do them all: full time, there isn't enough hours in the day to cover them.)

I am, in fact, "extra-party," to the extent that I don't care about party affiliation in the least: as time goes on, the GOP has beaten their loyalty out of me in a variety of ways, and it's far easier for me to ignore the party which oh-so-frequently ignores us.

But the "lie" isn't a partisan issue.  Both sides lie.  Both sides exaggerate.  Both sides believe us to be stupid.  Both sides exhibit arrogance and a complete lack of understanding that their role is to serve us and not the other way around.  Both sides insult our intelligence, counting on our ignorance, our exhaustion, our stupidity; frequently, our duplicity; our short attention spans.  And while understandable, given the way we elect and re-elect these same liars, it also serves as the impetus for them to keep doing it.

As voters, we almost never hold the liars accountable even when we know they're gaming us. If we never arrest and imprison robbers and killers, what would be their motivation to stop?

"We have the government we deserve" is one of THE truest axioms of politics.

People are so gullible.  People can be manipulated:  it doesn't matter if it's politics or, say, cars:  for example, the idiocy of Subaru "giving away $62 million to charity," their commercials brag.

They, of course, aren't giving ANYTHING away: the suckers who buy their cars are providing Subaru with this huge tax write-off.

But they want you to BELIEVE THEY are the ones doing it... when, instead, they are, one way or the other... overcharging enough on their cars to cover the cost.

You see, what they fail to mention is that you could, ON YOUR OWN, without buying ANYTHING, give that same amount of money to whichever charity you like.

But what kind of a commercial would that be?

They say these things and tell you these lies in an effort to help manipulate you into buying one of their cars.

As if that might make them more reliable or give them better mileage or something.

The result, of course, is some suckers are persuaded by that stupidity.  Which is why they do it: a certain number of those who don't or can't think for themselves will walk in to those showrooms, whip out their checkbooks and buy one of those cars thinking, in part, that Subaru is such a nice company to give so much to charity.

It's not the issue of charitable giving: this household donates a substantial amount of our income to charitable causes.

It's the issue of manipulation, the motive behind it and the true source of the funds in question... which isn't the company... it's the buyer.

Which brings us back to the politicians.

Most politicians, typically, lie.  Most deliberately.  Some, inadvertently.  And the motivation for the lie is to manipulate the voter.

This, of course, is a violation of the 3 rules of politics: if you have to lie to get your project or your initiative/referendum passed or lie to get elected... then your project or your initiative/referendum should not pass... and you should not GET elected.

The main reason, for example, that I opposed the pot legalization scam was those shilling that crap were lying their collective asses off.  Those who wanted legal pot at any cost were more than willing to accept the lie as a means to an end.

Meanwhile, those in a position to do something about it... say, Gas Tax Rivers, for example, chose to reward those scum by actually cutting the tax burden they put on themselves and we voted in... in half.

Of course, even cut in half, the promised revenue hasn't come close to the numbers pledged... perhaps a little less than a fourth of that number will ever make it to the state's coffers.

And nobody cares.  And no one will do a damned thing about it.

Is it any wonder politicians believe us to be morons?

Locally, Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers lied to get elected: she lied about opposing a gas tax increase and she lied about opposing tab fee increases... the same tab fee that the people of this state locked in at $30 per year so many years ago... a requirement that subsequent legislatures, both democrat AND GOP, ignore with impunity.

This made me, personally, recoil in horror that someone I supported... someone I had worked so hard to elect... someone who was SUPPOSED to be "different" from all the others... turned out to be just another cheap hustler who would sell her soul if the price was right.

But I found myself alone among the politically aware; even vilified by elected officials who suggested that it's better for her to lie to get them what they want than it is for her to maintain her honor and the promise she made to the people to get elected... the "lofty ideal" the Deputy Mayor of Battle Ground called it while he was wearing our kneepads in front of her.

The support of her lies by alleged Republicans was a real eye-opener.

After all, the GOP was SUPPOSED to be "different" than the leftists infesting us like mold.

How wrong I was.

Imagine, if you will: had she told the truth while she was campaigning... had she indicated that, in fact, she was going to support the biggest gas tax increase and tab fee increases in this state's history while supporting efforts to keep us from having a vote on that scam, could she even have been elected dog catcher?

Politicians lie.  And I'm just supposed to go along with the program, bend over, and scream, "thank you ma'am, can I have another?"  Our county clerk, Scott Weber?  One of the biggest political liars around, he ran on a platform of eliminating his job as an elective position; but you know, those $95,000 a year checks were just too darned good to pass up and so, well, screw you people.

AND WE, THE PEOPLE, KNOWING HE LIED, RE-ELECTED HIM!

And what has anyone done about it?  Who has held these scum accountable?

No one.  Because the GOP doesn't care: they don't care or can't take the heat of holding those accountable who engage in frighteningly dishonest politics to get what they want at the expense of those who have to pay the bills or suffer the consequences.

And that's just at the local level.  Small potatoes, save for the $700 million bill Rivers hung on this county as a result of her lies.

Meanwhile, HillBilly has to overtly lie about Trump during one of those wastes of times known as a "debate," falsely claiming that he, Trump, was being used as a recruiting tool by ISIS.

That's a lie, of course.  But it pales in comparison to other whoppers HillBilly has told in the past, everything from the video excuse where HillBilly killed 4 Americans, including our Ambassador in Libya; to taking fire at a helicopter landing site in Bosnia to her daughter being in the proximity of the New York 9/11 attacks to the tens of millions in her foundation bribery machine to being named after Sir Edmund Hillary to the ongoing lies of her email servers.

This woman should be in prison.

But she's the leading leftist to become president.

I have a problem with that.  And guess what: if the leading GOP'er was lying scum like Clinton, I'd have a problem with that as well.

However, tens of millions of Americans don't CARE that those who lead us also lie to us to get what THEY want.

I care.  It's a big deal to me.  It matters.  I care when people lie to get elected.  PARTICULARLY when they don't have to, but do it anyway.

But when you or your community BENEFIT from the lie, well, you just Phill Johnson it, and defend the liar because you've been paid off and this time, YOU win, as Pyrrhic a victory as that may be.

No one complains.  No one demands accountability.  No one in elective office calls them out for their lies.

Except me.  Because that's what I do.

Meanwhile, it's business as usual as we'll see in a day or two.

Don't say you weren't warned or didn't know.

Year end round up: the top stories of 2015

These are in no particular order:

1.  Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers' betrayal of her district and Clark County.

Look, here's the thing: if the people of the 18th District wanted a lying democrat in the Senate, we would have voted one in.

(From her Senate campaign web site.)

Sen. Gas Tax ran on a platform of opposing either gas tax increases OR tab fee increases.  After all, she was and is well aware that the people of this state and her district had long since voted overwhelmingly to limit tab fees to $30, but also that the GOP had long since trashed that vote.

And, when the time came to vote, she not only sold the district and Clark County out, but also opposed a referendum that would have allowed us to actually vote on this rip off, she also supported the democrat's favorite tool, the "emergency clause" so we would not have time to gather the needed signatures to force it to the ballot.

Thus, as a member of GOP Caucus leadership, she was instrumental in yoking the people of this county with a $700 million debt for which we, essentially, get nothing worthwhile save for a $6400 tax increase for a family of 4... as each man, woman and child living here will be responsible for paying King and Spokane County $1600 or so each as a result of her efforts to jam the largest gas tax/tab fee increases in this state's history down our throats.

Local RINOs of the Brent Boger and Phill Johnson ilk were thrilled.  After all, truth is a meaningless construct to the left... and so they've both worn out several pairs of kneepads to Rivers, who, while lying her ass off to get elected certainly met Johnson's rule against standing by "lofty ideals."

Like telling the truth and keeping your word.

2.  RINO Ryan's capitulation on the federal budget.

In yet another example of why it makes zero difference which party runs Congress, RINO Ryan bent the American people over and screwed us all sideways on the budget, giving the fringe-left everything they wanted while simultaneously making Congress Obama's bitch.  Mitch McConnell, of course, did all he could to help out and the result is a travesty of GOP tenets and additional hundreds of billions of dollars wasted and added to our debt which we will clearly never be able to pay... now at around #19 trillion or so and climbing.

There's no excuse for this nonsense, of course.  And it simply reinforces my decision to never vote for the GOP at the national level again.

3.  Putin/ISIS making that clueless moron in the White House look like an idiot.

Kind of speaks for itself.

While the GOP in Congress gravitate toward acting like prostitutes to our presidential pimp, even this pimp is minor league compared to Vlad and ISIS.

In the military, we had a variety of names for Obama-types, such as "turd bandit."

He has been a miserable failure at everything he's done except to play the GOP like a violin: that aspect of his administration has been brilliant.

But Vlad has been allowed to do whatever he's wanted since he arrived on the scene.  And this clown won't even say the words islamic terrorist, while Vlad, allegedly, bombs the crap out of the ISIS JV team.

I say "allegedly" because the military is an outcome based business and while, we're assured, there's a whole lot of bombin' goin' on, I ain't seen a whole lot of ISIS giving up and of the huge swathes of land they've captured, which would typically happen as a result of getting flattened like a pancake... except, of course, the cowardly scumbag in the White House has failed to put any troops on the ground to finish the job.

Meanwhile, ISIS beheadings, executions, burnings, burying alives, torture and the like go on unabated.  Think in terms of the Allies allowing the concentration camps to continue on when we should have destroyed them from the getgo.

Not to mention, of course, the slavery and sex slaves (You can actually buy a human being for $20 over there.) business and the illegal oil sales that Obama arranged, as well as giving ISIS billions in cash and billions more in equipment.

Is it any wonder Putin has no respect for this clown?

4.  Local RINO betrayal of the GOP in the county chair election.

Leftists and local RINO's joined together to sing "kumbaya" and elected democrat Marc Boldt to the county chair position.

Their support was, of course, based on their hatred of conservatives, frequently expressed in a variety of ways.

And then they wonder why they are despised by the local GOP.

They lied, exaggerated, put together a straw candidate to keep a Republican off the ballot (Jeannie Stewart) purely so she'd siphon off enough votes to only enable us to chose from a bottom-of-the-barrel, couldn't-find-anyone-else democrat (Fringe-left nutjob Mike Dalesandro) and a genuine leftist, my psychotic brother-in-law, Marc Boldt.

They even went so far in their hatred as to suggest that we IGNORE BOLDT'S LEFTIST VOTING RECORD and elect him anyway.

Boldt, of course, needed the gig since he couldn't get any other job once we threw him out of office back in 2012 so he's stuck driving a truck... and he needed two additional years to max out his hefty government pension... and now he's going to get 3.

The irony of all of this is clear: had Boldt voted like a Republican during his tenure on the county commission; had he not supported silencing 60,000 or so voters from voting on... but not from paying for... CTran taxes... had he not advocated for tax increases and implemented them for 6 straight years... had he strongly opposed the CRC rip off like fellow commissioner and former legislative seatmate Tom Mielke... he would never have lost his commissioner race, we wouldn't have this idiotic charter and we'd now be better off.

The charter scam is going to be nightmare.  And Boldt is going to do all he can to roll back every conservative move made in his absence.

Now, the fringe-leftist scumbag who ran Boldt's effort, Jimmy Mains, is doing all he can to try and do the exact same thing in the 18th District, recruiting "independent" candidates who lie about their political affiliation... like my miserable wretch of a brother-in-law lied about his.

And anyone Republican who supported that nutberger... particularly Carolyn Crain, is finished here politically.

Look, the left got everything the RINO's wanted them to get.  Now, of course, the next step is going to be for Boldt to do everything he can to undo all of the progress, restore all of the tax and fee cuts so they can steal and spend more of our money... and you know that both Stewart and Olson will help Boldt every step of the way.

And I will put every nickel of that on Boger, Rivers, Kimsey, Wilson, Donnelly and that ilk that voted control of the council over to the left.

It's going to be on you, kids.  All of it.

Yeah... elections have consequences.  And in this case, the consequences are going to be more regulation and more money ripped off out of our wallets.

5.  Continuing economic recovery and growth in Clark County.

Economic growth around here continues to exceed that of most of the state.  Those responsible for it, namely, David Madore and Tom Mielke, get no credit for it, however, because the rag indicates they're incapable of doing anything right, so to them, it happens in SPITE of them, and never BECAUSE of them.

That's the sort of thing you get, though, when local media is driven by hatred.

6.  CTran pissing on the people's will

Look, I get it.  When you have a mob run by a lying scumbag like Leavitt, the LAST thing these clowns are going to care about is following a vote of the people: that's why many of these same scum threw us under TriMet's bus, so to speak, by ceding our control over eminent domain to an unelected, out of state agency... and who the CTran board did such a spiff job... with Boldt's support... of cutting 60,000 of us out of the vote... but not out of paying their taxes.

The end result?  That idiotic, unneeded, unwanted waste of money called "Bus Rapid Transit," a waste of millions of dollars that, as per usual, will be dedicated to moving no more people than we move now via bus for just a great deal more expense.

Your government(s) in action.

7.  Another year of zero representation by Ridgefield Barbie, our worthless Congresscritter.

It's a problem when you local congressional representation is a cowardly moron yes-woman who does whatever she's told while hiding from her moronic constituency.

And I say "moronic" because if you ever voted for that waste of skin, that's how you voted.

Like a moron.

The rejoinder I typically get is, well, "look who she was running against."

Yeah?

And?

What's the worst that could happen?  If we had elected a democrat, they would have voted like Boehner and RINO Ryan wanted them to vote... like Barbie voted... like a leftist.

And, in her never-ending effort to avoid doing anything approaching work... combined with her never ending effort to avoid answering for her rank stupidity and cowardice, does ol' Horse Face ever hold open town hall meetings?

Nope.

She doesn't have the guts.

If she vaporized tonight, politically, she wouldn't be missed.

Like him or hate him, at least Baird had the guts to face us.

8.  Domestic terrorism and the lack of ideas on how to deal with it.

Trump comes up with a plan that includes denying muslims access to this country.  I support that plan, if for no other reason than no one else has come up with anything else.

There is no plan we've seen implemented to address this.  A muslim woman who played on our privacy mania passed multiple background checks and even though she was caught lying, that made no difference to Obama's Homeland Security people.

Our increasingly larger muslim population comes complete with an increasingly larger demographic of the ISIS bent.  And what's the hopeless Administration's response?

Well, they (the terrorists) all need jobs.

Odd.  The last guy who slaughtered innocents in San Bernardino had a job.

So did, come to think of it, US Army Major Nidal Hassan.

We are about as vulnerable today as we were then.  The president won't even allow that islam is a major element in these scumbag's efforts to impose their laws on us.

And no one, no where, has a realistic, viable plan to stop them... yet.

But as the number of attacks increase and more of us get slaughtered, the options on how to deal with it are going to become increasingly smaller.  And they are not going to like what ultimately happens.

9.  The unexpected rise of Trump and Cruz.

Months ago, I indicated after it became clear that Trump was impacting that the Establishment RINOs only had one choice when it came to defeating Trump.... and while these morons made a choice... it was the wrong one.

The ONLY thing they could do was to begin the process of moving in his direction.  Instead, they ran away in horror and sent out their talking heads to attempt to undercut and destroy him.

Even FOXNews has become involved in that effort.

Establishment candidates like Little Jebbie and Sell Out Rubio express amazement that Trump is where he is, while they are where they are... towards the back of the pack.

Time and again, he's been pronounced dead, politically.  And about every time, he comes back with even bigger numbers... most recently yesterday when FOXNews ignored their OWN poll that had Trump at +21 over Cruz in favor of an outlier poll that had him +4.

Until today.

Today's CNN/ORC poll had him back to +21.  Yesterday, though, watching these guys... it was... again... all over for Trump.

Because they want it to be.

Cruz has been playing it cool, hoping that Trump flames out and that he can pick up the pieces.

I don't denigrate him for that; when you're going up against a Trump, that's not a bad strategy.

Still, when the Donald started out, I didn't take him seriously.  But once it became clear that he had figured it out and was saying what the majority was thinking... and his poll numbers popped... his money made it clear that he was going to be a player.  And he is.

10.  Resurrection of the CRC Scam.

A massive waste of money (Number 18 on the biggest wastes of government money in the history of the Northwest) hated by the rank and file of Clark County citizenry, lied about for a decade and based entirely on the bizarre idea that the Portland Soviet's waste of billions, loot rail, had to infest Clark County.

It became the nexus for the GOP resurgence in Clark County, recently ended by the RINO-leftist partnership.

Meanwhile, it never really went away.  It was temporarily stalled when the State Senate briefly determined that it would not pay for this idiocy, with 40 plus years of ever-increasing tolls beginning at $8 per day, equaling roughly $100 million per year, to start, sucked out of our local economy, a figure almost arrived at by Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers betrayal of this county and her district that will rip $700 million out of our local economy over the next few years to pay for Seattle's transportation insanity.

ANY effort to replace the I-5 bridge CANNOT take place until ADDITIONAL BRIDGES in DIFFERENT LOCATIONS are built FIRST.

The idea that we should somehow replace a paid for, functional bridge with something that costs billions and will do nothing to improve the commute is leftist insanity personified.  And any such effort will be opposed by the people of this county now as it has been for the last 10 years.

The building of that bridge with loot rail is, of course, Job One for my psychotic liar of a brother-in-law.  That is why the leftists supported him and if you don't think they did, just check out his PDC's and see who gave him money.

11.  The political betrayal of friends and colleagues by those who hate conservatives.

Going back to the 2014 election cycle, one of the formerly bright spots was the election of Rep. Lynda Wilson, who falsely portrayed herself as a conservative and who was dragged over the finish line by Rep. Liz Pike, who is a conservative... only to abandon her during the county chair election.

Wilson, married to Tracy Wilson, who's massive financial support of Boldt was a critical element in his election success, did nothing to assist Pike's election and played stupid when it came to her betrayal of Pike during the last elective cycle.

The same can be said for county councilor Julie Olson.

Olson mailed it in during the 2012 election and lost to Monica Stonier in the 17th District . But it wasn't for lack of effort on the part of Pike, who effectively ran her campaign for her and who, in this election, forgot all about Pike as she joined with the pro-CRC scammers who stupidly don't care that the people of this county have made it clear that her view isn't the view they share.

Of course, Olson has ALWAYS supported the CRC Scam as much as any leftist in the downtown mafia, so I knew and stated here repeatedly that her election would be a net minus for the county as a whole... her opponent, Chuckles Green, was the same on the issues, but was not electable as a C3G2 hater.  Still there's no real difference between the two, so it really didn't matter who was elected.

What mattered was that Olson ignored her "friend" when her "friend" could have used her help.

Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers is also included in the "hate conservatives" cabal, but in her case, much of that hatred was based on Pike's refusal to join Rivers in her betrayal of her district and this county on the Gas Tax Scam she implemented.  Compared to throwing her district under her bus, her disdain for Pike is small potatoes.

There are others, of course, but they were mostly known RINOs so that sort of thing is to be expected.

That cancer reached the point where I found it impossible to continue on in the political campaign field and, after 25 years of active campaigns, have determined that I am out.

12.  The Gutless cowardice of the GOP at all levels.

The GOP at all levels has been a case study of cowardice and further proof to the axiom that there really is no difference between the two main political parties.

At the state level, the GOP-controlled senate, with the able aide of my state senator, Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers, engaged in rank corruption through out the last legislative session to provide the largest gas tax increase in our state's history while not only failing to include a referendum clause, but even helping the left by attaching an emergency clause in this non-emergency theft to made it, effectively, impossible to take this to the polls.

At the federal level, both McConnell and first Boehner, then RINO Ryan has acted as Obama's bitch as much as Obama has been Putin's bitch.

Massive failures to prosecute, massive failures to impeach, massive failures to engage in oversight, massive failures in rolling back the debt, massive failures in getting rid of Obamacare, massive failures in foreign policy, massive failures in military policy, massive failures in keeping their word....

It's become the "massive failure" congress.

I know I'm never voting for any of them or any candidate trying to or in there, since it's easy to prove it makes no damned difference who has the job.

Local RINOs assured us that we needed control of BOTH houses of Congress to "get something done."  (Right, Brent Boger?)  Now, of course, that ilk says Congress CAN'T do anything because of that scumbag in the White House.

That's pure, Grade A, leftist bullshit.  And it's so easy to see as the leftist RINO on-again, off again "Republicans" like Boger support low-life scum like Kasich for President.

Because nothing would be different if the RINOs had the entirety of Congress in their control.

After all, that's why we call them RINOs.

The thing is, I knew he was lying then as much as he lies now.  And what's been done as a result of the blind allegiance card is that the democrats have held us down while that self-same GOP has raped us.

At the local level, threats to act against those who've betrayed us have not made it beyond the threat stage.  Among others who should be kicked out of the local party are our gutless congresswoman, Ridgefield Barbie, our leftist Auditor, Greg Kimsey who broke the law using the voter pamphlet to lie the charter into existence, County Clerk Scott Weber, who ran on a platform of lying to get elected in that he pledged to do all he could to make the county clerk position an appointed by the county commission job... only to forget all about that once he was elected and, of course, my own state senator, Gas Tax Rivers, who also lied to get elected by running on a platform of opposing any gas tax or tab fee increase.

No action has been taken against any of these clowns.  So what's the point of even having a political party if you continue to support lying scum like these?

13.  Obama trashing federal law to increase illegal alien/democrat election voters.

Obama's violation of the law has gone so far as to not only allow 10's of thousands of hardened criminal illegal aliens to stay in this country, he has even allowed illegal aliens to become attorneys.

Obama has committed more high crimes and misdemeanors than all other presidents combined, while the GOP, which has controlled all of Congress for the past year, cowers in fear of doing anything about it.

14. Obama's foreign policy is as disastrous as his domestic policy.

Iran: Disaster.

Russia:  Disaster

ISIS: Disaster.

In every conceivable way, Obama has turned the United States into laughing stock of the planet.

In every thing from trading the top five terrorists in Gitmo for a deserter who should be shot to leaving innocent Americans locked up in Iran while we give them billions of dollars to strengthen their military and nuclear programs.

Putin has played and is playing Obama like the cheap violin he is.  He beats Obama like a rented red-headed step child... and meets success every where he, Putin, goes and with everything he does.... and he accomplishes it with Obama's willing  acquiescence.

Obama has supplied ISIS in every conceivable way, from weapons to cash.  His bungling in Iraq will take decades to unravel and put back into the box.

That, of course, is the result of having a cowardly incompetent as president.

15.  The end of my involvement in party campaigns.

While I will do everything I legally can to make sure that Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers loses in her reelection as a direct result of lying to get elected in the first place, I will not be campaigning any more for anyone.

I expect far too much from those I believe in and most (but not all... just not enough) do far too little to keep their words, to act with honor and to remember that losing in an honorable cause is far preferable to winning in a dishonorable effort by lying and forgetting why you are there and who got you the job in the first place.  Right, Rep. Wilson?

I will continue to blog, of course.  But I will not be actively involved in any campaign for anyone. It's far too easy to believe in someone who tells you what you want to hear (Rivers) but then, when crunch time takes place, bails on their promises and pledges to those who foolishly believed they would be different.

In the end, it's made no difference that the GOP controlled the senate at the state or national level.  If anything,  that control has made things much, much, worse.  And GOP control of the House?  That was a joke under Boehner... and now it's a horror movie under RINO Ryan.

Somebody around here has to hold those who've betrayed us all accountable. Someone around here has to tell the truth.  And while so many have completely betrayed any sense of honor and who believe, somehow, that telling the truth to get elected or to get a project built are merely "lofty ideals" to be ignored so that the select few get what THEY want at the expense of the rest of us... i don't happen to agree.

When those who govern (or want to govern) the people, there has to be more to it than lies.  There has to be more to it than the Steve Stuart "I don't speak for the people" scam.

There has to be.

And when there isn't; those who lie, cheat, exaggerate, manipulate and ignore us?

Well, I'll be here.

Saw Star Wars: the ultimate PC sci-fi flick. (No spoliers)

It was bizarre, in a way... kind of like science fiction diversity training.

In keeping with the idiotic concept of women in combat arms, the main star here is female, and although she could kick everyone's ass, she would have been dead a dozen times in real combat, and her relationship partner would have been killed a dozen times as he illustrated one of the many reasons women in combat is a bad.... horrible... inexcusable... idea.

I'm not going to do spoilers here... there are certainly enough out there .  But a female Storm Trooper was the height of idiocy, even if she could beat me to a pulp, and while the movie had it's humorous moments the lack of reality was so over the top as to have made it a time waster.... albeit not one that will put you into pain or anything like that.

I have missed most of these movies and really, I don't ever intend to go to another one.

On a 5 star scale, I would give it 5 stars for special effects, 1 for the plot (Utterly predictable and a story line that's been done in movies a thousand times) and a 2 for the acting.

But then, that's just me and your mileage may very.

The Boldt Blight to descend on Clark County.

Yes, soon the local version of Lenin will get the job his puppet masters have wanted him to take back for so long.

And what are his marching orders?

To undo everything the conservative majority has done to turn this county into an economic power house.

That means immediately increasing taxes.

That means immediately increasing fees.

That means immediately increasing regulations.

That means an immediate, huge step backwards for the entirety of this county.

But then, someone much brighter than I once said two things of note:

"We have the government we deserve," and "voters have the attention span of a gnat."

Yes, Clark County now has the leprosy of a scam charter that was lied into existence by none other than this self-same Boldt and his leftist buddies.

For my part, I wrongly believed the voters were smarter than that, but when RINOs get involved to muddy the waters, any outcome is possible, since the only political principles they have are, in fact, no principles.at all.

Boldt, of course, supported the Charter scam for this very reason.  He saw it as an opportunity to undo the 2012 election where he was rather unceremoniously thrown out on his ass for voting like he was the local version of Harry Reid in supporting so many things the people of this county loathed.

For whatever the reason, the people of this county, having been urged by our RINO contingent to simply ignore his past is prologue record of governance, did just that in the actually insane hope that he would either change... or that he wasn't what they knew, deep down inside, he was: a full on, tax and spend leftist.

Boldt, formerly a hard core Christian, didn't help things any by letting his vanity allow him to lie about who... and what.... he was.  But this career politician had learned how to play the game very well, and with lying leftist scum like Jim Mains dragging him across the finish line, I suppose that my hope the people would remember that Boldt was from the Steve Stuart school of "I really don't give a damn what the people want" governance went unrealized.

Endorsed by about every fringe-left group in the region, supported by most of the leftists in any positions of power, the voters here failed to ask themselves: why is Boldt attracting people who's governance has cost us so so much and done us so much harm?

This served to reinforce the stereotype that brought us Obamacare, among other things; based on the innate, counted on stupidity of the voters.

Well, Boldt, ably abetted by fellow leftists Stewart and Olson, are going to turn the next year into a nightmare.  The CRC will come back with a vengeance; tax increase after tax increase will be slapped down on the table in front of us, fee increase after fee increase will be stuffed down our throats and all while the savages of the C3G2 ilk will dance around the corpse of bastardized democracy while the Boldt Blight spreads like a poison throughout the region.

And those most responsible will be, ultimately, those held most accountable.

And you know who you are.

I'm sure the swearing in will be one big party.

But *I* won't be there, because, primarily, I am ashamed I even know the man.

And now... because of this puppet and his masters... we are all going to suffer.

Major Thomas Egan - why'd you do it?

I originally posted this 7 years ago today (24 Dec). I post it every year at this time because it bears repeating.

This story was in the paper... although, unfortunately, not on the Columbian web.
It is the story of a retired Army Major, one Thomas Egan; a veteran of 2 years on the Korean DMZ, a Master's graduate of the University of Oregon; a retired Oregon Army National Guard officer.

He was found dead, apparently frozen to death, next to a bottle of booze, in Eugene, Oregon within the past few days.

Unfortunately, the story speaks for itself. Sometimes, the desire to destroy one's self can overwhelm all other instincts.

I never knew you, Major, but we served in the Army together at the same time. I have no idea what happened to you, but I wish I did... and I wish it could have been fixed.

Tomorrow is Christmas. If you know someone who needs help, take the time and the effort to try and get that help to them. Major Egan had help available, but made a bad choice when it came to using it.

As I look outside at the foot of snow, I ask myself: "how many Major Egans are there? Is there more that could have been done?"

Probably not.

But I wish there had been.

Good bye, Major. From all accounts, you served us honorably and well. I never met you, but I won't forget you.

I could have been you.
Soldier’s death resonates
Homeless veteran froze to death though services were available
By JACK MO
(Eugene) Register-Guard

EUGENE, Ore — Thomas Egan was a scholar and a decorated soldier. He was also a homeless alcoholic whose life ended last week when he froze to death in Eugene during an unusually long and harsh cold snap.

His body was found covered in snow near the corner of West First Avenue and Blair Boulevard, a bottle of liquor by his side.

News of the demise of the longtime Eugene resident troubled many local veterans — especially those who knew that with some effort and some help, the man they called Major Egan could have had a roof over his head.

“The whole National Guard community is taking this very hard,” said Bud Dickey, a vocational rehabilitation coordinator with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ community reintegration service center in Eugene.

“It’s very disturbing for all of us, because Major Egan was retired and could have been drawing his (veterans’) benefits,” Dickey said. “He had options that he did not access.”

Egan collected monthly Social Security checks, but the amount was a pittance compared with the payments he was entitled to as a retired military veteran. When he turned 60 in July, Egan became eligible to receive $909 each month in National Guard retirement income, Dickey said.

Egan also could have applied for a separate pension check based on unemployability. “That would have gotten him an apartment if he wanted one,” said Jay Rea, a Springfield resident who served under Egan in the National Guard in the late 1980s. “I shed a tear when I heard he died,” Rea said. “It breaks my heart because he was the friendliest guy, and so smart.” A New York native, Egan joined the Army in 1971 after graduating from Quinnipiac College in Hamden, Conn., with a bachelor’s degree in history.

He was stationed at the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea for two years, and was reassigned to the Oregon Army National Guard in 1977.

Earned master’s degree
Egan earned his master’s degree from the University of Oregon in 1983, and ultimately attained the rank of major with the National Guard.

He retired honorably in 1991, following a 20-year military career during which he was awarded several service medals and ribbons.

Dickey said Egan’s desire to drink made him ineligible for VA housing programs that require sober living.

Egan had declined to enroll in substance abuse treatment programs offered through the veterans agency, Dickey said.

According to those who knew him, Egan worked sporadically. He did some landscaping, and most years helped deliver telephone books.

Sometimes, he found an apartment to stay in for a while. At other times, he lived on the streets. In August, Egan spent two weeks at the Eugene Mission — which is less than one block from the spot where a passer-by discovered his body last week.

Mission officials said Egan never caused any trouble there, and could have stayed any time. Dickey said Egan has no relatives in Oregon, and tracking down members of his extended family on the East Coast has been challenging.

Dickey, who served five years with Egan in the National Guard, is helping to direct an effort to have Egan interred at the Roseburg National Cemetery.

“He will be buried as a veteran in a veterans’ cemetery,” Dickey said. “He was a good soldier, and we’re going to get him the burial he’s due.”

The Empire Today flooring experience.

You've no doubt seen the commercials and heard the jingles: well done, that.

I'll let my wife tell it:
Rapidly finding out, you get what you pay for. We need new flooring due to the flooding a couple of weeks ago. We went with Empire Today because their pricing was about $1,000 less than the other bid. Flooring was supposed to be installed yesterday, they cancelled due to issues with the installers vehicle. I called this morning to confirm today's installation, and seems like they are going to not get it done today either. I will be cancelling that order and paying a more money to go with the other company.
Shortly thereafter, this young man shows up before we could cancel the order, to install the flooring.  So, we let him in.

He was wearing a "Lowes Independent Contractor" sweatshirt, which ought to tell you something.

And he goes to work
....
Well, it can get worse. Very nice and young guy comes out to install the flooring. He has on a Lowes independent contractor sweatshirt BTW, so clearly the installers work for everyone. He doesn't have a crowbar to pull up the tack strips, Kelly lends him one. He goes back later to check on the flooring and the kid is putting laminate flooring down on concrete with no underlayment. (The special padding used on laminate floors... imagine the noise one of the floors would make, laid down on concrete, as you walk on it.) Kelly asks him what he's doing. He says they didn't put any in his car, even though it's on our order paperwork. And oh, he's never installed this kind of flooring before. So he thought it wasn't a big deal. Needless to say, we have cancelled the whole order, saving $900 bucks isn't worth the aggravation and ineptness of this company. Never do business with Empire Today.
But wait!  There's more!
....
AND...I forgot the best part. We told the kid we were going to not continue with the installation. While I am on the phone with them cancelling the order, rather than reschedule someone to bring the underlayment out and install the floor properly. The kid up and leaves and leaves all their product here. Not one freaking word from him. Now I have their stuff in my house and I have NO IDEA when someone is going to come and get it! Such bad business.
So, there you have it.

This is how we were treated by this nationwide flooring "arranger," and now our floors... which we would pay cash to get installed... have to wait as we restart the process all over again.

We've received a great many referals and will look at all of them.  But do yourself a favor: don't get your flooring through a store or store chain that subs it out.

You might pay more in the end, but you'll be much happier about how you're treated and what the end result actually is because, remember: you're gonna have to live with it.

The price of equality in the military: will women pay it?

Recently, that last bastion of male superiority, Combat Arms, was finally... albeit temporarily... opened to women.

But that begs the question: what is "equality," exactly?

Well, here's the dictionary definition:

Full Definition of equality

 plural equal·i·ties

:
the quality or state of being equal

 :equation
Which, of course, brings us to the definition of the root word: equal.

equal

adjective \ˈē-kwəl\

Simple Definition of equal

:the same in number, amount, degree, rank, or quality

     :having the same mathematical value.
:equal, the same for each person
Indeed.

"The same for each person."

What does that mean, exactly, particularly in military terms?

Well, if equal is to mean EQUAL, then that means women have to be the same as men in every measurable way.

They have to be as fast as men.

They have to be as strong.

They have to carry the same amount for the same distance in the same conditions.  They have to run as fast, do as many push ups and chin ups.

They have to eat the same food.  Drink the same water.  Share hygiene... and the lack thereof.

There has to be NO reduction in combat capabilities because women are in Combat Arms; no requirement for increased logistical support.

No more money can be spent on women then men based on gender.

And, of course, no more pregnancy while on active duty.

Because that, ladies and gentlemen, is what "equality" means.

We'll never see that, of course.

Women have never wanted true equality.

If women actually wanted "equality," then none of them would ever take advantage of "affirmative action," otherwise known as discrimination against males.  They would be rioting in the streets to get to register for the draft.  They'd be suing as hard for that as they did to get killed while getting others killed in a combat environment.

"Equality" is not some sort of abstract construct.  But is IS an absolute.

One is completely equal... or one is unequal.  And equality is earned.  It's not handed to anyone on the end of a government bayonet merely because the clueless led by the ignorant chose to ordain it on an ocean of female blood spilled to prove a point... namely, how "progressive" they are.

The Marine Corps study proved that women in Combat Arms will be a disaster.  Our leadership, both military and civilian, had an agenda... so billions will be wasted and uncounted numbers of men and women slaughtered because of it.

Women, allegedly, want entree into the worst humanity has to offer: combat.

But the moment it becomes clear... as it will become clear... that they refuse to pay the price... that there are worse things than "discrimination" (Try being rape bait as a muslim prisoner.  Can we, as a society, even begin to imagine what it was like for that poor girl that was killed... by us, allegedly... having been forced into becoming a sex slave after SHE was captured?  why would anyone believe that it would be any different for our female prisoners of war which will be an inevitable outcome of this?  And when it happens... and it will... are we supposed to feel sorry for them?  What are we supposed to do about it?  Now might be a good time to discuss that.)  that the mere presence of these privileged women, like those who've been passed through Ranger school, will cause far more difficulty than they solve...

And then what?

To this point in our history, we've been mostly lucky.

The luck of geography, protected by two oceans... the luck of a mostly unified people, now shattered in our petty political grievances and manipulated by those who would see us destroyed...  make no mistake about it: the generals in the military know damned well this is a mistake.  And the biggest problem is their decision to betray us by not refusing to implement this horrifically stupid policy that will never... ever... touch the daughters of those who would order it.

That is what we have to look forward to.

I have a 22 year old daughter who could no more survive in combat than she could levitate.  And it's not just the massive waste of time and money it would take to train this 5 ft 1 inch female, who is so tough in so many ways but who simply could not ever deal with the rigors of a combat environment... it's that those dollars and that time could, instead, be spent on someone who actually COULD fight.

Namely, a bigger, stronger, male.

But now, there will never be a way to draft men without drafting an equal number of women.

And there will never be a way to force men to fight without... you guessed it... forcing an equal number of women to fight.

All under the guise of "equality" of course.

And when women are allowed gender-based privileges not given to men...  imagine the law suits that will start flying in the OTHER direction.

And how will that do anything to make us stronger?

Memo to the legislature: the time has come to crush the can.

Because of the rag's fringe-left, pro-WEA bent, it's no surprise that the democratian lies about the legislature's "requirement" to kowtow to the State Supreme Court.

Their problem?

There's a huge difference between what the rag, the leftists and the WEA wants... and what the legislature has to provide.

There is no requirement for the Washington State Legislature to do anything that any other branch orders them to do.

None.

And the rag's incessant, "holding my breath until I turn blue" Gregorian-style chant doesn't change that.

I don't really care what the Court has written on this issue.  What I care about are that the branches maintain their co-equal status as delineated under the Constitution of this state, which does not contain any mechanism of enforcement for state supreme court decisions combined with any requirement that the legislature do what they're told when the Supreme Court tells them to do it.

This, then, isn't a matter of "kicking the can down the road," as the rag so cutely labels it; it is, instead, a matter of crushing that can so that the Court never, ever interferes with the legislative process again.

The first step is to cut the court to the Constitutionally mandated 5 justices.

The second is to defund the court.

The third is to actually, legislatively, define precisely what the phrase "paramount duty" means.

In short, take it out of the hands of these clowns and if necessary, refer it to the people of this state as a referendum... since the people are the source of ALL political power in this state, and not 9 leftists who all live within shouting distance of each other in the Puget Sound region.

Look... I'll be the first to acknowledge that the Court has a place in this state: but their job isn't to make or force legislation, which they have zero power to do: their job is to interpret the laws, period.

The legislature and the legislature alone has the power of the purse.

Now, appointing Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers as the point man in the senate for this issue is troubling, since her gas tax/tab fee increase vote and efforts have shown that she has zero problem selling out the people of her district and her state.

In the end, ANY hoop the legislature jumps through held up by ANYONE not the people of this state, results in their power being ceded to others, never to return.

And if these idiots cave to the Court on this... where does it end?

What if the Court unilaterally decides that our lack of a state income tax is somehow "unconstitutional" and then orders the legislature to implement an income tax?

What's the difference?  What's the difference between this fantasy McCleary decision and any number of fantasy decisions they could... and will... make up as a result of the legislature caving on that decision?

Why even HAVE a legislature?

The ultimate arbiter of the effectiveness of the legislature on ANY issue is the voter.

The voters put them there; the voters can get rid of them.

And in this instance, what the legislature does as their "paramount duty" is none of the Court's business.

Like so many other things the rag is aware of but chooses not to mention... (Recall the CRC, where the Oregon State Supreme Court ruled that the entire purpose of the CRC Scam was to get loot rail into Clark County...) but have failed to ever mention, they know that the Court has no power here to enforce this edict... their constant whining to the contrary notwithstanding.

These columns, then, are not being done out of any basis but their fringe-left bias, well established during the reign of Lying Lefty Lou Brancaccio... who only tells you what he wants you to know.

But so far, to our despair, he's been quite successful over it.

Giving the devil his due, his herd of sheep are much better prepared and organized than the average GOP voter, and they have a much broader footprint, of fake/RINO Republicans who always do what they're told (remember the election of democrat Marc Boldt last November as they crapped all over their party, for example...) and leftists which, combined, outnumber everyone else.

RINOs around here are driven by the same hatred of conservatives as the C3G2 haters.

So, I get why the democratian keeps recycling this garbage over, and over, and over again: their Goebbelian shtick of  telling a lie long enough, loud enough and often enough for it to become the truth has borne them fruit so there's no reason for them to stop... save for the principle of what journalism is SUPPOSED to be, I can actually hardly blame them.

But on this... as in so many other areas... they are dead wrong.

And on this.... as on so many other things... they know it.

And also on this... as on so many other things... they don't care if it gets them what they want.

So, yes... it's no longer time to kick the can down the road.

It's time to crush it.

And we're watching you.

So, by now, we know about the Las Vegas killer who hurt so many people with her car: what is her name?

We know she's black.  We know she had an infant in the car.  We know she passed field sobriety tests.

We know that Las Vegas PD has determined "this wasn't a terrorist attack."

We know a lot about her.

Why don't we know her name?

Just askin'.

The irony of Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers sniveling about "low-income residents" and "civil legal aid."

Look, those of us paying attention know that Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers has a huge image problem, having thrown all Clark County residents under her jack-the-gas-tax-and-tab-fees vote bus that she lied about to get elected in the first place.

With a $700 million bill presented to us and her deliberate efforts to keep us from having any say on the largest gas tax increase in state history, a highly questionable project list of $200 million for an unneeded, unwanted scam at the Mill Plain/I-5 intersection and a smattering of little projects around her district AND $500 million being sucked out of this county to pay for King County's massive wastes of billions for tunnels and loot rail and floating bridges... a $1600 per man, woman, child and infant tax jack... a district that voted roughly 72% NO on the gas tax advisory vote... yeah, Rivers has image problems, to put it mildly... masquerading as a Republican while screwing us like a downtown Vancouver democrat.

Think of it: Gas Tax Rivers billed each family of four a total of $6400.  And she then thought so little of us that she refused to fight to allow us a vote on it... while supporting a bogus emergency clause to get that money bonded out before we COULD vote on it if the signatures had been gathered to get it ON the ballot.

And that, of course, is because the allegedly GOP senate knew we'd vote "no," and they couldn't have that... now, could they?

So, I appreciate that her heart is bleeding over "civil legal aid," considering that those her gigantic tax vote will hurt the most over the years are the very population demographic that will need this "civil legal aid."

This piece, which was not written by Rivers but which instead written for her by her Public Information Officer, is a weak effort to do something positive for her image as a liar and a politician tin-eared to the demands of the district that she swore to represent.

But then, she ALSO swore not to support a gas tax increase or tab fee increases, as this screen capture of her campaign website shows:

No one made her lie to get elected, but these words speak for themselves.

And now each and every one of us are on the hook for hundreds of dollars a year because of her and her lies.

Think about that every time you're putting gas or diesel in your vehicles, and understand that Rivers is the one responsible for our pain.

It's one thing to know that pain.

It's another to cause it.

And Rivers caused it.

And she is going to cause much more in the upcoming session.

You read it here first.

The Bobbsey Twins: the fringe left hypocrisy of Moeller and LaBrant

Fortunately, there's only a year left of Jimmy Moeller in politics, and we'll be well rid of him after his moronic effort to become the "first openly gay" something else.

But then, there's this fringe-left hypocrited bigot, Eric LaBrant.

Up until this week, this bigot has been best known for this stupidity: (Screen captures by Lew Waters)

The local cancer on our community, the democratian, has naturally never mentioned this bigotry: after all, they provided tens of thousands of dollars in in-kind contributions for their fellow leftist scumbag and if they love you, they love you.

As we all know.

And if the rag likes you, that means you get a pass for all sorts of lies, bigotry, criminal activity.

But then, LaBrandt has to double down on his hypocrisy with THIS insanity:

As Lew pointed out, this hypocrite sucked up at least $100,000 from California billionaire Tom Steyer, who has already wasted millions here in Washington State trying to buy the state senate (as if he needs democrats when so many in the GOP are for sale?) and will likely waste millions more in the future to turn the west coast into a democrat fortress and make a serious effort to cause this coast to succeed from the Union and form "Ecotopia", except this time, make it real... instead of a nonsensical Callenbach book.

The idiocy and effort to further fringe-left causes behind I-735 aside, for a guy to suck up tens of thousands of dollars from an individual who made billions off of both corporations AND pollution-causing businesses and then babble this garbage as if he was above it all.... is the pinnacle of leftist hypocrisy.

But it's the kind of thing typically OK on the left; after all, there is no bigger hypocrite in politics today than HillBilly, and she's committed... and is committing... enough crime to gain several life sentences in whatever the female version of Leavenworth may be.

But for a scumbag like this who was elected ENTIRELY and COMPLETELY because of the very thing he's sniveling about now?

Between that and his bigotry... which the democratian will also stay silent about... he should no more be in office than Lying Lefty Lou should be allowed around a keyboard.

And Jimmy Moeller?

His latest idiocy is this beaut:

China, of course, has that honor, and NOT the United States.  But little Jimmy has never been what you might call "fact driven."

Why?

Because those shilling global warming are clowns in a circus.  And the clown named Moeller is the biggest clown with Obama as a ringmaster.

OK, Trump muslim naysayers: what's YOUR idea?

Look... I get that those opposed to Trump recoil in horror at the vary idea of a religious-based litmus test for entrance into this country.

But first, let's set the table:

This country can keep anyone it desires out for any reason what-so-ever.

Color.  Race.  Gender.  Religion.

(BTW, this country engages in race and gender discrimination every day, all day.  It's called "Affirmative Action.")

We can remove the citizenship of anyone, particularly, naturalized citizens, deemed a threat or shown to be criminals based on prior history... just ask former concentration camp guards stripped of their naturalized American citizenship.

In this case, the idea is first to keep people out who belong to a cult masquerading as a religion where the end result is world domination.

And it's perfectly OK in their world to slaughter people to get it.

The second idea is to remove those cult-members already in this country so they can assist or attempt to implement their cult's stated aim: slaughtering those who don't happen to be muslim.

As these attacks increase in frequency and impact, the likelihood of the first, shown to be supported by a majority of the American people, becomes a certainty; while the likelihood of the second grows exponentially.

These are painful, unpleasant realities we must address.

We have obvious issues of incompetence in security and strategies that are bipartisan.  I'm not even going to say that these attacks are Obama's fault... I have no confidence that the same thing wouldn't be going on under a Romney Administration.

But there are only so many things that can be done.

And my point is simple: what CAN be done... MUST be done.  Because doing nothing?

That's getting us killed.

Was there any other possibility for this RINO putz, except to do what her puppet-master and fellow RINO McMorris told her to do?

Congrats to the CRC scammers, the downtown mafia and the democratian: the CRC is number 18 on the list of the worst wastes of money in US history.

And yes, I know this isn't the I-5 Bridge, but it's the picture the PI used... so what do you expect?

Niccolo Machiavelli

“Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?' Expediency asks the question, 'Is it politic?' But conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?' And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but because conscience tells one it is right.”
