Like most numbnuts on the left who never served in the military and who will not have to directly live with... or get killed with... the results of their policies; they ignore reality in favor of policy because they know those policies won't be spilling THEIR blood or that of THEIR children.
This clown blew off the Marine Corps study that proved all male units move faster and longer and shoot much better than mixed male-female combat units and claiming to be acutely aware of that fact, puts "fairness" ahead of fundamental combat capabilities.
The two money quotes from the study?
The Sergeant Major of this effort, a warrior and Distinguished Service Cross holder (Second only to the Medal of Honor) by the name of Justin Lehew, blew holes in the conclusion that the study was flawed, bitch-slapping the Secretary of the Navy, Ray Mabus, who immediately rejected the study's conclusions because they didn't fit the meme.
The end result of this... and his acknowledgement that this plan WILL reduce our combat capabilities... will be dead, wounded and crippled Americans. Dead... all in the name of political correctness.
I would not be caught dead serving in the Armed Forces of today.
Troops ARE going to die because of this policy, but it won't be the blood of scum like Carter and Obama who get killed, and it certainly won't be Obama's daughters putting THEIR asses on the line.
The quest for a non-existent equality has taken on such horrific proportions by the people who will never have to suffer directly because of the implementation of their ivory tower academics and philosophical policy decisions, and the damage they inflict will take decades to undo.
Carter is despicable. He should have resigned instead of being Obama's bitch on this issue. And if I was one of the generals receiving this order, I would resign on the spot.
None will, of course: they had all already told the president they would comply with his order because getting another star is far more important to them than standing on reality and on principle.
I'm sure our enemies are looking forward to a weaker, more distracted military which, between the cuts and this social engineering, again weakens us while simultaneously strengthening our enemies who sit there in amazement at the stupidity of our leaders.
With the recent information leaking out that none of the women with a Ranger Tab actually earned it, this kind of favoritism and damage to our military will set back the cause of "equality" between the genders by several decades.
