Leavitt continues to lie about the bridge and tolls.

.
The slime continues to ooze out of Tim "The Liar" Leavitt as he expands his faux Pied Piper routine about not wanting tolls... but not particularly giving a damn if there ARE tolls.

This is the biggest lie of the entirety of Leavitt's campaign.

The ONLY way to "oppose" tolls is to OPPOSE THE BRIDGE WHEN THEY ARE REQUIRED.

But Tim "The Liar" won't do that. He wants us to BELIEVE he opposes tolls.... but the FACTS say otherwise, because this little weasel doesn't want us to hold him accountable for his failures to oppose a bridge that no one who has to pay for it wants (And, like the vast majority of rabid bridge supporters, Leavitt won't be one of those who WILL have to pay for it... he just wants US to pick up the tab) and his failures to demand that this entire sorry episode be put to a vote of the people who WILL have to pay for it.

The article in the Columbian says:

"Tolls to pay for a federal asset that provides economic commerce for the entire West Coast should not be put on the backs of the citizens of Clark County, period," Leavitt said, to cheers.

In an interview after the debate, Leavitt added that he would not try to kill the bridge project if it proved to be impossible without tolls.

Of course, as anyone within 100 miles of Vancouver knows, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY THIS THING CAN BE BUILT WITHOUT TOLLS.

I have to admit, I find Pollard's failure to pound The Liar on this aspect of his campaign to be astounding. Tim "The Liar" is obviously a sniveling little worm, lacking in the testicular fortitude required to man up and take a stand, a stand that would save this community hundreds of millions of dollars wasted on an unneeded and unwanted project designed and built ONLY to get loot rail into Clark County.

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt's rank hypocrisy cannot be overlooked, either. Another snippet of the article says this:

Leavitt, meanwhile, criticized Pollard for a tax hike that prevented police layoffs, saying the city could have saved $400,000 annually by outsourcing its parking meter management.

"In December, when we were in the middle of a recession, my opponent supported a utility tax increase," Leavitt said.

In September, WHILE we're in the middle of a horrific recession, Tim "The Liar" supports a tax increase that DWARFS the mere $400,000 utility tax increase.... by, literally, a factor of a million.

But then, Tim "The Liar" is someone who doesn't think much of money when it belongs to other people.

“It’s frustrating to me that our Congress passed a $700 billion bailout for the financial sector and they couldn’t throw in a measly $3 billion for this immense federal asset for the West Coast,”said Tim Leavitt, a Vancouver councilman who will represent C-Tran on the 10-member sponsors council. “Please give us some money. Why do we have to beat each other up locally?”

That ANY politician could describe $3 billion as "measly" shows both an arrogance and tonedeafness breathtaking in it's dimensions.

So, in The Liar's twisted world, advocating a $400,000 tax increase in the midst of a recession is bad, bad... but advocating a $100,000,000 or so tax increase in the midst of a horrific recession is good..... good.

With almost every utterance, Leavitt shows himself to be a total, political scum bag. If the people elect this clown to run the city, they'll regret it.

And all along, The Liar will be saying "you knew what I was when you elected me."

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt CONTINUES to lie: Claims "75% chance bridge will not have tolls."

.
You would have thought by now that Tim "The Liar" Leavitt would have learned his lesson.

According to Lou Brancaccio, this represents The Liar's position on tolls:
"Then there's my buddy, Tim Leavitt. He's running for Vancouver mayor. And he's trying like heck to separate himself from Mayor Royce Pollard. They've been hanging their hat in the same place — the Vancouver City Council — for several years now, so they're a lot like Cheech & Chong. Same ol', same ol'.

Tim realizes he had to find a difference, so he picks the new I-5 bridge. Now, both these guys appreciate the need for a new bridge. And both would accept tolls. But Royce says the tolls are inevitable. Tim says, "Not so fast, my friend." Tim feels some magic could be worked and the bridge could be built without tolls.

In fact, he said he feels there's a 75 percent chance of it."
You see, this is the lying scumbag we've all come to know and despise.

The Liar has a better chance of winning Mega Millions then he does to get a bridge in here without tolls.

What the ENTIRE WORLD KNOWS is that tolls DON'T MATTER to Tim "The Liar" Leavitt, because WITH OT WITHOUT TOLLS, THIS LITTLE WEASEL IS GOING TO SUPPORT A BRIDGE ANYWAY.

Obviously, Leavitt is clinging to his calculation that if he just keeps lying about tolls, he'll get enough suckers on board to become mayor.

The problem is that in his massive arrogance, this scumbag truly believes we're stupid.

NO ONE ELSE IN GOVERNMENT ANYWHERE HAS EVER SAID THIS STEAMING CRAP PILE CAN BE BUILT WITHOUT TOLLS.

NO ONE.

In fact, EVERYONE ELSE IN GOVERNMENT HAS SAID JUST THE OPPOSITE: IF THIS THING IS BUILT, TOLLS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BUILD IT.

And taking it a step further, The Liar has already said that even WITH tolls, HE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT BUILDING THIS BRIDGE AND LOOT RAIL.

My God, this man is a lying little weasel. He's pathological.

He's lying. He KNOWS he's lying. He's aware that anyone actually paying attention to what he says KNOWS he's lying. He doesn't CARE that he's lying. BECAUSE HE WILL DO AND SAY ANYTHING TO GET ELECTED.

It's bad enough that a rank hypocrite like Tim "The non-voting Liar" Leavitt wants YOU to vote for HIM. But to continue to lie like this in the face of common sense is to insist the world is flat, or that Obama has a clue. (Yeah, I know it's the same Obama Leavitt endorsed, but this guy can't use toilet paper without trying to get some sort of political advantage out of it, so what can you do?)

So, it's up to you, Vancouver. You can vote for this lying scumbag who rarely voted himself... due to his contempt for the gift provided to us all by the sacrifices of tens of thousands who died to insure we have the franchise... or you can vote for a guy you may disagree with, but who is at least honest and honorable.

Otherwise, you're going to get tolls anyway, along with a whiny, snivelly mayor that played you like he did the hispanics, who blathers: "We'll, at least I tried," when he knew all along that tolls were the ONLY way to get this done, but had to lie about it like Sam Adams lied about having sex with that teenager.
.
But that's Tim "The Liar" Leavitt for ya.

Of course the slime at the democratian endorsed that little worm, Leave-it.

It comes as no real surprise that the democratian would endorse Tim "the liar" Leavitt for mayor of the Taliban City of Vancouver.

This blog has been indicating, literally for years, that such would be their decision.

A candidate could be an ax murderer, as long as they endorse the democratian agendas... and they'd get the local Pravda Izvestia's endorsement.

For most, issues such as honesty, integrity, character and the like would actually play a major role in their decision as to who to support politically. Clearly, those types of character traits make no difference to the CRC scammers at the democratian.

We all know the history of Tim "the liar" Leavitt. The newspaper, naturally doesn't give a damn about this man's lack of integrity. They only care that their positions dovetail with his positions. That he is basically dishonest, and outright liar, likely a criminal when it comes to his conflict of interest folks on the sea transport, make no difference to those people who run our local cancer on the community.

This blog has literally hundreds of posts in it devoted to the lies of Tim "the liar" Leavitt. Locally, his arrogance is matched only by Jim "Molehill" Moeller. Nationally, his arrogance is matched only by his hero, the empty suited moron in the White House. Historically, his arrogance is matched only by the former fascist dictator of Italy, Mussolini.

Ever since Leavitt came out of the closet on the issue of tolls, which this blogger knew he was lying about throughout the entirety of his campaign, this newspaper has engaged in constant image rehabilitation. This endorsement is just the latest chapter in that effort.

Many of the worst political leaders in the history of the world have had with this newspaper refers to as, "vision".

From Stalin, to Hitler, to Mao, to… Well, you name it, the world's history has been replete with leaders who have with the democratian is referring to as "vision".

I admit that "the liar" has "vision". The problem has always been that the vision this slimeball has, doesn't mesh with the vision that the people of this community want.

For the past several years, the democratian has made it their policy to only endorse CRC scammers in races where the outcome is even remotely in question. No, they do not always endorse supporters of the CRC scam. But whenever the race is remotely competitive, they will in fact typically only endorse people who support the CRC ripoff.

There was never any question that the democratian would support Tim Leavitt; his lies, his arrogance, his lack of character and integrity, notwithstanding. I believe that his opponent, Bill Turley, should view it as a badge of honor that the newspaper has rejected him.  The list of those they've rejected who have been elected is both long... and distinguished. The newspaper typically rejects both winners and people who happen to put the needs and wants of the electorate ahead of the newspaper's agenda.

The filter for their endorsements naturally, includes

1.  are you a Democrat?  Leavitt arguably is that.

2. do you support the CRC scam? Leavitt arguably supports that massive ripoff.

3. do you support loot rail?  Leavitt arguably supports loot rail. After all, as the Oregon Supreme Court has pointed out, that is the entirety of the reasoning to replace our current paid for and functioning I-5 bridge.

4. Is the political race we're endorsing reasonably competitive? That's entirely possible given Leavitt's reputation as a lying scumbag.

Thus the outcome of the endorsement was preordained from the very beginning. That I wouldn't let Leavitt babysit my children or run an elevator for me makes no difference to them. As long as he supports the democratian's ripoff agenda, that he's a lying little worm makes no difference to them.

It is to our community's detriment that so many of its leaders, typically appointed by those of the special interests in a position to do so, have people like Lou Brancaccio, Tim "the liar" Leavitt, Steve "Slimeball" Stuart and their ilk; and organizations like Identity Vancouver, and the Chamber of Horrors actually in a position where they can claim to be representing the people of this community when those of us who actually live here, certainly know better.

When elected government leaders actually work for the people who elected them, it's amazing what can be accomplished when the leadership represents the will of the people.

None of these are the other organizations scamming the CRC ripoff are doing that. Few of the leadership currently elected actually give a damn what the people of this community want when it comes to this project, because they see their vision is superior to that of the little people who actually were foolish enough to elect them in the first place… Much like the people foolish enough to elect the then and now lying mayor of Vancouver.

In their effort to protect Tim Leavitt while rehabilitating his image, the newspaper blows off his campaign of lies by saying the following:
From nearly the start of his time as mayor, the CRC has been an albatross for Leavitt. He ran four years ago largely on a platform of opposing tolls on a new bridge, then quickly reversed course once in office. "The reality is I got that wrong," Leavitt said. "Those positions were too set to allow me to move forward in the project without creating some animosity."
When Brancaccio wrote this, he knew he was lying.

For the many months leading up to the election where we were unfortunate enough to gain Levitt as the Soviet's mayor, I repeatedly warned that he was lying on the issue of tolls, that he was using it as a wedge issue to separate himself from Pollard, and that he had no intention of following through.

It wasn't that the liar "got it wrong" as he put it; he was lying about it from the very beginning, and it was nothing but a political ploy. Brancaccio knows that, yet like so many others who support his agenda, he doesn't care about the lies, the deceit, the falsehoods, and the fraud.

It seems odd, in the face of the continued lack of importance of the newspaper's opinions, that Lefty Lou doesn't take a step back, review, and try to figure out why, in reality, so few people give a damn what he thinks.

In large part, the problem is that his thoughts on just about any subject are run through his "does he like you" filter. In this instance, like any other conservative, Brancaccio hates Bill Turley. He hates anyone opposed to his positions, who's in anything remotely approaching a competitive electoral race.  He hates the very idea of the people having a voice about anything where the outcome of a vote might not go his way.

That's why he's opposed the charter movement so viciously: why he supported fellow democrat Marc Boldt, why he'll try and bury anyone running against Stuart next year... and why he'll support anyone kissing his ring... which are typically his fellow leftist scum...

....like Leave-it.

Which is why, if one goes back over the past several years, one would be hard-pressed to find an endorsement by the democratian of any candidate in any competitive race, if that person opposed their agenda, particularly on the CRC scam.

Well, that and Lefty Lou's hatred.

Naturally, none of the true "liar" characteristics of "the liar" are mentioned in the endorsement. This is in large part because Brancaccio does not allow reality or facts to interfere with his positions. Which explains why, even though he knows the CRC is nothing but a giant turd, he insists on continuing to support this massive theft of dollars from the people of this community that would go on long beyond his death.

The democratian's lack of relevancy at this point can be traced directly to Lou Brancaccio's own desk. He is a self-fulfilling prophecy, where not a day goes by that he personally does not do all that he can to damage what little credibility is left of the despicable rag that represents a wart on the butt of this community. This... is yet... another example of that.

The "Odd, isn't it?" Post.

.
Kind of a weekly summary of posts.

Odd, isn't it; that the managing editor of the local fishwrapper would brag about keeping track of local politicians while ignoring our Cowardman's "shenanigans" with his fake death threat cover for lacking the guts to face his constituency?

Odd, isn't it; that Jon Russell tossed Stacee Sellers under the bus when he bears at least some responsibility for the Washougal City credit card debacle due to his lax oversight?

Odd, isn't it; that Newt Gingrich and the RNC have been beating Doug Hoffman like a drum, only to maneuver to support him after it became clear that Dede was done-done?

Odd, isn't it; Tim "The Liar" Leavitt whines and snivels like a little piggy about Pollard's efforts to link him to Rossi, and then, at the last minute, announces that Rossi has, you guessed it, endorsed him?

Odd, isn't it; that any so-called Republican would ever vote for Tim "The Liar" Leavitt, given that The Liar was an early endorser and supporter of the messiah, the empty-suited, anti-American racist bigot currently occupying the White House?

Odd, isn't it, that the leftists here in Washington State are so upset and whiny that Boeing has started the process of bailing out?

Odd, isn't it, that Tim "The Liar" Leavitt's hispanic vote scam hasn't really done much for him... has it?

Odd, isn't it, that after all these months, that embarrassment of a President decided he needed a photo op saluting our honored dead... an act I effortlessly found to be despicable.

Odd, isn't it, that the NFL has no trouble allowing thugs and law breakers and rap "artists" who denigrate women and advocate drug use to own part of NFL franchises, but not Rush Limbaugh because, well, he's too "divisive?"

Odd, isn't it, that some "Republicans" are complaining about where and how Pollard has been getting his independent expenditure money without a peep about the tens of thousands for Tim "The Liar" Leavitt from a New York City union PAC?

Odd, isn't it, that the positions of so-called "Mainstream Republicans" closely mirror that of democrats, such as their opposition to I-1033 and their support of R-71?

Odd, isn't it that the "No" on I-1033 folks would stop by and "thank" me for my analysis which shows how badly we NEED 1033 to be implemented BEFORE the legislature meets next session to jack our mid-recession taxes up through the roof?

Odd, isn't it, that Ann Donnelly would use her column as cover to do a campaign commercial for Tim "The Liar" Leavitt?

Odd, isn't it, that those opposing I-1033 are reduced to blatant lies and half-truths to make their points.

Odd, isn't it, that the Columbian would use lies as a basis for their endorsement of the "No" side of I-1033, PARTICULARLY since THEY got a huge tax cut from the legislature THIS year... which tends to show the double standard these clowns live by.

Odd, isn't it, that Jon Russell would want to "Restore Trust in Government" when he avoids talking about his political mercenary past.

Odd, isn't it, that Tim "The Liar" Leavitt's campaign is made up of megacasino supporters?

The Liars continue: who better to know a "no brainer" than Tim "The Liar" Leavitt? And so much for "The Liar" Stuart's campaign promise.

.
How can we tell either Leavitt or Stuart is lying?  Their lips move.

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt earned his sobriquet as a result of his fraudulent campaign where he actually convinced the less-informed that he was opposed to tolls while he was running for mayor.  I told the world he was making that up because in reality and policy, "The Liar" had a long record of supporting everything and anything Pollard wanted... his election-year conversion to fake anti-toll zealot notwithstanding.

He was lying.  I, of course, repeatedly said he was lying during the campaign and all along after the election... even before his now legendary flip.  And, as we all know, about 60 seconds after he was elected, he flipped on the toll position that got him that way, crapping all over the less-sophisticated voters who supported him because of that issue.

So I wasn't terribly surprised when, during the CRC meeting he worked his ass off to help Steve "The Liar" Stuart shaft the people with Stuart's campaign lie about his pledge to make sure we'd have a county-wide vote on loot rail THIS November, Leavitt called holding the CTrans tax increase vote this November while ignoring Stuart's promised county-wide loot rail vote it a "no-brainer."

And who better to know?

Meanwhile, his fellow liar, Stuart, who ran on the pledge to hold such a vote THIS November, refuses to be held accountable for HIS campaign lies:
As a member of the C-Tran board, Stuart said, he worked to protect lower fares for disabled riders and fought a move to cut transit services to the disabled.
As for light rail, he said, “My focus is to provide you with a vote, and because of the work we did, there is going to be a vote next November.”
Do you detect a pattern?

First, we have "The Liar" Leavitt repeatedly lying about his toll position to get elected.  He gets elected, and almost immediately flips.

"The Liar" Stuart, who was a major player in Leavitt's campaign effort, does what?

He lies about his loot rail election position.  He gets elected (barely) and almost immediately flips.

Nah.  Must be pure coincidence that they're both lying scum.  Particularly when, as well all know, there is one reason and one reason along for this lie to have legs:  So when they hold the election in 12, these scum can gerrymander the taxing district to, once again, include every major retail outlet in the county while excluding a hundred thousand or so voters from having any say... but not from paying their tax.

Wouldn't want the vast majority of the county to actually have ANY say... would we?

And then, what does "The Liar" Stuart do at the CRC meeting?

Why, he feels compelled to try and bully one of his many opponents by demanding of her... and her alone... whether she was just representing herself... or someone else.

Slimeball.

Cause I've got to tell you, it's none of your fricking business.  And your rank, anti-community, lying position on this horrific project does not give you license to attempt to muscle the opposition... and then whine about it on your facebook page.

And for those of you who supported "The Liar" Leavitt, I've got to ask you:

As I told you all along that the only difference between "The Liar" Leavitt and Royce Pollard was that "The Liar" was lying about his toll position... do you see any difference between Pollard and Leavitt now, save the fact that Leavitt's been a week-kneed little weasel who can't keep control of council meetings, I mean?

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt's BIG PROBLEM: Tolls and his lies about them.

.
Here's the problem for The Liar:

We have a guy who has done everything he can to get a bridge replaced and loot rail jammed down our throats when we don't want either.

That's a problem, of course, but not a political problem, because the other candidate, Royce Pollard, has done precisely the same thing.

Both of these clowns have worked to waste tens of millions of dollars on a study to achieve an outcome that I could have provided for $20.

We do not need to get the I-5 Bridge replaced, period. But replacing it is the only way to get loot rail into downtown Vancouver, an option already rejected by the voters, 70-30, over a decade ago... and, of course, the primary reason these scum won't ask us now.... they know we'd reject it again.

So, we have precisely two candidates who want precisely the same thing in the face of the massive, overwhelming opposition to the issue in question.

The Liar's problem is this: how can he portray himself as someone who wants the bridge, but who wants to tap in to the anti-bridge, anti-toll sentiment that got Tom Mielke, Republican, elected in the midst of a blue tide? When it comes to positions and outcomes, both candidates are precisely the same. So, how does The Liar find a way to separate himself from Pollard?

I know ! I know! (Hand waving frantically) Even though Tim "The Liar" KNOWS this bridge MUST have tolls to be built, he can market himself as being AGAINST TOLLS!

Tim "The Liar" already knows there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY THIS THING CAN BE BUILT WITHOUT TOLLS, but when it's built, he can go around taking credit for at least TRYING to avoid tolling of a population that can't afford it.

Well, you would think that if Tim "The Liar" was a man of principle and integrity, why, why.... why, he'd step right up and say "if this thing has tolls on it, then count me out."

That's what you'd EXPECT a man of "integrity" or "principle" to say... wouldn't you?

Well, what did Tim "The Liar" say when asked about that very thing?

In an interview afterward, Leavitt said he intends to press the federal government to pick up the cost of the $3.2 billion project. "Tolls are still not on the table for me," he said. When pressed to say whether he’d rule out supporting a new bridge if a toll became unavoidable, Leavitt indicated he wouldn’t go that far.

"I’m not an obstructionist," he said.

Nor are you a man, you slimy weasel.

Effectively, the outcome is the same. That is, if the bridge that both candidates want gets built, then there WILL be tolls, and both candidates will support those tolls.

The DIFFERENCE is that Pollard, as much as I dislike his politics, has the balls to stand by his position of tolling everything in sight without lying about it.

Tim "The Liar" on the other hand, has EXACTLY the SAME positions... but packages himself in a different way to try and fool the voter into believing he's actually opposed to tolls, when in reality, it makes no difference to him, one way or the other.

And that makes Tim "The Lair" despicable scum.

We do not need this bridge to be replaced. Those screaming the loudest to replace it are those least likely to need to cross such a bridge, and, therefore, are those least likely to PAY for such a bridge. And, as both Pollard and Leavitt and the despicable rag that is our paper have demonstrated: how easy it is to demand something that others will both pay for and MUST use, if such a demand will get what they want.

When Leavitt continues to bang his "no tolls, but I'll still support the bridge even if there ARE tolls" drum, he's a lying, lowlife scumbag every time his slimy lips move.

Personally, I agree with Tom Koenninger about as often as I win the lottery. But this time, his take on the tolling issue and the even remote possibility of building this lipstick-covered pig without tolls has a great deal of factual information contained within.

That Koenninger would still want this piece of garbage built in spite of the horrific costs, considering that the construction of such a bridge replacement would accomplish ABSOLUTELY NOTHING save for providing the most horrifically expensive loot rail project in the history of the fricken universe, however, is a subject for another post.

Leavitt is a lying, low life scumbag, and he needs to get his political ass kicked for his lies come this November.

Of course, when you surround yourself with other lying, low life scumbags, like Steve "I'll take those 30 pieces of silver, Mr. Barnett" Stuart, I guess your conduct and outcomes are inevitable.

This has got to be tough: Someone faking an identity on the Columbian lied that THEY were Tim "The Liar" Leavitt!

.
It's got to be tough to be a public figure these days, particularly when you're a lying scumbag like Tim "The Liar" Leavitt.

Leavitt, who has been scamming people into actually believing he opposes tolls on the massively wasteful, unwanted and unneeded I-5 Bridge replacement/loot rail project has made a HUGE deal about how he's so "opposed" to tolls.

A search of this blog or google will result in quote after quote where this slimy little worm has REPEATEDLY come out in opposition to tolls.

Of course, to THIS slimeball, he really doesn't care if tolls are imposed; he's so beholding to the special interests that own his ass that he has pledged to support this eye-popping waste of billions EVEN IF IT HAS TOLLS, because, after all, this unprincipled scumbag doesn't want to be an "obstructionist."

Well, imagine my surprise when someone scammed his identity, and engaged in some major revisionist history in the comments section of one of the series of lying propaganda pieces spewed out by our local daily stain on journalism, who's despicable efforts to ram THEIR agenda down our throats has made them a joke in the field of news.

Anywho, this fake Leavitt wrote the following:by

Tim Leavitt : 10/2/09 6:18pm - Report Abuse

There are a lot of great comments here, and I agree with many of you! But I want to be clear about something. Contrary to the statement in this piece, I have not made opposition to tolling a centerpiece of my campaign for Mayor of Vancouver. There are many other issues at stake, and I've been discussing them regularly and in much more depth than my opponent ever could. That tolling has become a primary issue of discussion is true, but that is because I have made REPRESENTING THE CITIZENS of Vancouver the centerpiece of my campaign. There is never only one alternative to solving a problem. Tolling Clark County commuters is just one option, and one that obviously I am not fond of. Unfortunately, it's the only option that has been discussed for much too long now, and incumbent officials have become complacent. The discussion about tolls would be entirely different if there were enough jobs here in our community. If current leadership had spent any effort at all on sustainable job creation. But unfortunately, that hasn't been the case---and now they are telling our commuters that this bridge will be paid for on their backs.

Where to begin?

As I've already stated, the movement AGAINST tolling IS THE ONLY CAMPAIGN CENTERPIECE THIS MORON HAS.

It's the only issue he's known for, the only thing he can lay claim to as a substantial difference between himself and Pollard.

He's making every effort to tap into the anger brightly illustrated by the vast majority of comments preceding the comment of this fake Leavitt's. Where that blew up in his face was when he lacked the guts to come out and put a point on it: he failed to come out and say:
If this bridge has tolls on it, then count me out.

In fact, he's done just the opposite: he's come out and said that requiring tolls will have NO IMPACT ON HIS SUPPORT OF THIS MASSIVE WASTE OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

And this is the main problem when you lack any integrity. You lie so much, for so long, in front of so many, that when you finally realize that people are figuring out that you're a liar, as Tim "The Liar" Leavitt is figuring it out, well, then, it's too late, and you've got to engage in a little revisionist history.

There is only one person who can be blamed for taking this bogus position on tolling. There's only one person who can be blamed for selling out the people of this entire region because he lacks the guts to oppose this unconscionable waste of billions of our dollars, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT IT'S TOLLED.

And that person is our own, slimy little worm, Tim "The Liar" Leavitt.

But then, this COULDN'T be the real Leavitt, could it? After all, the REAL Leavitt wouldn't ever lie.... would he?

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt running scared; Steve "Easy Money" Stuart terrified.

.
Anyone politically aware in this region knows about Tim "The Liar" Leavitt and Steve "Easy Money" Stuart.

Leavitt, best known for lying his political ass off to scam voters into voting for him based on his outright lie of opposition to tolling on the unneeded and unwanted loot rail/I-5 Bridge replacement, The Liar is well aware that he has a target painted on his political chest.

Well, there's a new sheriff in town, David Madore. And Madore doesn't wear a cannon... he wears a something far more powerful: a checkbook. And Leavitt knows that Madore is going to end him.

Leavitt's problem is that unlike him, Madore is a man of principle who believes what he believes in an incorruptible way. The Liar, on the other hand, is a user of people whose integrity is for sale to the highest bidder. And now he's running scared.

Madore is most likely coming after Steve "Easy Money" Stuart, a corrupt county commissioner who only got elected because David Barnett, tribal megacasino developer bought Stuart his seat for $100,000 in cold, hard cash, laundered through an out of state fringe leftist group known as Progressive Majority.

Stuart's problem this time? His backers are broke. David Barnett got clobbered, both in a bizarre accident and in the real estate market. The BIA, which for reasons that make no discernible sense have endorsed Stuart, are broke because their money comes from developers primarily, and that money has long since dried up in the midst of our horrific democrat recession.

There's no cash out there to bail Stuart out. And Stuart knows it.

More important, The Liar knows it as well. The Liar knows that regardless of Madore's outcome, he, Leavitt, is next on the political target list.

And portraying Leavitt as a lying scumbag will not be a particularly difficult task... since that happens to be the truth.

And Stuart's destruction will likely kill the bridge altogether, since the only thing the elected downtown Mafia want more then this horrifically expensive waste of money is their jobs... which will become immediately at risk the moment Stuart is defeated.

So, what do we get from The Liar since he knows that Madore has loaded up a few cash magazines to come after his political opponents?
“Too bad he isn’t choosing to put that money into more productive efforts in our community,” said Mayor Tim Leavitt, who has been at the blunt end of much of Madore’s criticism. “Clearly, Mr. Madore is passionate about his cause, and as a citizen in our community, he has every right to funnel his own money into efforts to promote his cause.”

Yeah.... it's "too bad." Too bad for Leavitt.

I'm sure that The Liar is kicking himself for his early flip on the tolling issue. After all, would The Liar rather have Madore as a friend? Or as the enemy that he keeps poking?

Further, any effort by anyone to kill this project and toss those responsible for this conspiracy to extort $100,000,000 a year out of our local economy is to be lauded.... not denigrated.

Leavitt has 3 years left in politics. Every day, his imminent demise comes closer... and closer. And if Madore is successful in getting rid of Stuart... then expect a shift in the attitudes of the elected officials around here of tectonic proportions... as these previously unaccountable officials suddenly find their jobs at risk because one man has stepped up.

And Liar? You really should be looking for work elsewhere. Because I get that it sucks to be you.

The nature of His Honor, the Mayor of America's Vancouver, Tim "The Liar" Leavitt.

.
Anyone involved in politics locally or anyone reading this blog knows full well of the disdain I have for the slimeball currently, and unfortunately, elected to the position of mayor of Vancouver.

I wasn't a big fan of the former mayor, Royce Pollard. I believed him to be naive because of his early support of the organized criminal enterprise known as the Mohegan/Paskenta/Cowlitz/Barnett Megacasino.... and I certainly opposed his position on the bridge, which we do not need and cannot afford, as well as loot rail, which is the root cause of this colossal waste of $10 billion or so... the support for the megacasino turning into staunch opposition as more facts emerged.

But Pollard had one thing going for him that Tim "The Liar" Leavitt will never have: he told the truth.

Like his positions or hate them, you always knew where he stood. One might argue that Leavitt did the same thing Pollard did when he changed positions on the megacasino. One might, but one would be wrong.

Pollard hadn't dealt with the Barnett's on a daily basis like The Liar had the issue of the Bridge/Loot Rail project. Pollard had little to go on except the apparent sincerity of the Barnetts... because we all wanted to think the best about these people... and many did... until they proved themselves wrong.

Leavitt, on the other hand, knew everything there was to know about the bridge/loot rail project. So his magic "awakening" to the alleged reality he faced was theatrics, pure and simple; unlike Pollard, The Liar was, well, lying from the beginning.

Many, confused by Leavitt's lies, supported him because of his very public stance against tolls. The problem with that is I knew he was lying when he started that issue, an issue he made up out of whole cloth because really, there isn't much of a reason to vote out an incumbent when you've supported him 99% of the time in the past.

Knowing that, you've got to lie to get elected. Knowing that, you've got to deceive to get elected.

Anyone paying close attention to The Liar's campaign knew his position on the bridge was an outright lie. You'd know that by the people he'd surrounded himself with. Major bridger/looter Steve Stuart, democrat county commissioner, ran his campaign. The now former county democrat chair (fired in part because of her involvement with The Liar's campaign) Dean Horton, was also a major player.

With those two on board, you knew two things: first, that Leavitt was lying about his bridge position. The is no way... NO WAY, Steve Stuart would have supported a mayoral candidate opposed to the bridge, loot rail or tolls. Secondly, you knew that the GOP'ers who fell for that trash were going to get screwed. And, of course, they did.

That will, of course, never be water under Leavitt's "bridge." Now that he's publicly "right" on the bridge issue, the despicable rag that passes for a daily paper here will continue to engage in their buddy's public rehabilitation, his lies be damned. After all, he's carrying their water, so there's no way they'd ever treat him like they treated VanNortwick or Boger.

But for some people, namely The Liar, the paper's kneepads aren't good enough.

As an example, at the last citizen's comments, there was a citizen who took the time to show up and provide kudo's to the bridge, loot rail, and to generally be The Liar's mouthpiece in opposition to the will of the citizens.

What I have been informed, however, is that this citizen is in the midst of, well, how do I put this... an "intimate relationship" with the Mayor? A relationship that neither disclosed before that citizens verbal, well, "servicing" of the mayor for the record... or after.

I have the names, the people involved, where they work and everything else to verify this kind of thing.

But I am not going to post them... this time.

This is a warning to the mayor: If you EVER try and pull another stunt like this again, you're going to run directly into a fan of facts.

And given your past "indiscretions," I'm pretty sure you don't want that... do you?

Here's the link to the citizens communications in question.

Of course, you could do us all a favor and resign.

But that's up to you.

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt's emails: no lie he won't tell.

.
I get the buzz every now and then from people asking me why, after hammering Pollard like a nail, I'm now blowing enough political holes into Tim "The Liar" Leavitt that he can't even drink without leaking.

Well, it's simple. Tim Leavitt is a liar. His campaign started with a cynical ploy to get an endorsement from the, relatively speaking, 15 or so voting hispanics in Clark County, and he illegally used his position as a city councilman to get that endorsement.

That did it for me.

I frequently disagree with Royce Pollard. But on policy, there's essentially no difference between the two candidates.

They both want the I-5 Bridge replaced; they both want light rail, and they both know tolls will be required to get it.

Tim "The Liar" knows this as well. So what's he doing to separate himself from being in lock step with Pollard?

He's lying about his position on tolls.

As I have frequently shown, Leavitt supports tolls; he knows tolls are required; he knows this bridge won't be replaced without tolls, and he will not oppose the bridge when tolls are required.

Of course, if he REALLY opposed tolls, he would tie his support of the bridge to that issue.

But he doesn't, because he clownishly tells us he doesn't want to be an "obstructionist."

It's not surprising that this little worm has confused principled opposition, supported by the facts, with being an "obstructionist."

Leavitt and his handlers, including Steve "Show me the $100,000, Mr. Barnett" Stuart, have signed on to the edicts of nazi propaganda minister Joesef Goebbels, that if you tell a lie long enough, loud enough and often enough, the more ignorant and uninformed will gradually accept it as truth.

All of his other lies notwithstanding, his latest whiny, sniveling, despicable effort involves an email the moron running his campaign sent out; where, once again, he refuses to take responsibility for HIS screw ups, and then includes the following blatant lie about Pollard:
________________________________________________________
Royce Pollard, as the candidate, has the power and ability to stop this negative campaigning. Even those attacks that are coming from independent organizations -- he has the ability to stop them and he is choosing not to.
___________________________________________________

See, this why I don't want The Liar anywhere in government.

THE CANDIDATE HAS NO CONTROL.... NONE.... OVER "INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATIONS." AND THIS LYING SCUMBAG KNOWS THAT.

That's why I support Pollard.

I oppose many of Pollard's policies. but unlike The Liar, Pollard is HONEST about his positions, where the sniveling little punk running against him is one of THE most lying scumbags I have EVER seen.

So, I'm stuck between supporting an individual with the strength of his convictions, no matter how much pressure he undergoes... or supporting a lowlife, scumbag lying weasel who blew off his voting duty and then blamed POLLARD for HIS failures.

And for me, that's a choice that a blind man could see in a minute.

And with every lie, every exaggeration, every effort to shift blame and avoid responsibility by this scum-sucking slime merchant, my conclusion is re-enforced a thousand fold.

It's bad enough that some of our elected leaders BECOME lying scum (like, for example, the empty suit in the White House.)

But should they actually start out that way?

No. And Tim "The Liar" Leavitt is so co-opted by his political need to be a pathological liar that he wouldn't know the truth if it walked up and bit him in the ass.

MORE slime and hypocrisy from Tim "The Liar" Leavitt?

.
The fundamental flaw of all the many flaws this moron has is this:

Why can't The Liar and his ilk convince Benton that this project is a good idea?

I mean, if it were all that, then why can't they get Benton on board?  Benton's only been involved in transportation issues for the past 16 years or so.  That would be at least since Leavitt hit puberty, don't you think?

Is it because The Liar is owned by special interests and has an employer that will be enriched directly by his efforts?

Is it because The Liar, who has already proven how little he cares what the people he represents cares about doesn't give a damn about the will of the people compared to Benton, given his efforts to do everything he can to keep the people from having any say compared to Benton, who has done everything he can to get us a vote?

Of all the elected officials this community is cursed with, the slimeball mayor of Vancouver, Tim "The Liar" Leavitt, has to be the among the worst... if not THE worst.

Best known for running a despicable campaign of lies and deceit only to be followed with a tenure as mayor pf lies and deceit, that The Liar could write this about anyone in the face of his pathologically rhetorical, opinionated and self-aggrandizing campaign and tenure is enough to make anyone choke on the irony.

Leavitt represents the worst in politics. There is no lie that dillwad won't tell, no people he won't sell out, no effort he won't make to silence the opposition, and did I mention that no lie is off limits to that slimeball?

Anyway, Sen. Don Benton, who cares far more about this community on his worst day than the Liar has during the entirety of his sorry existence, wrote every elected official and bureaucrat a letter asking them to join him in opposing the steaming crap pile that The Liar now so strongly supports, along with its economy-crippling tolls... which is what got him elected in the first place.

What was that rank hypocrite's response?

"There is nothing substantive in the letter to counter the circumstances and facts specific to the CRC Project. The letter is replete with rhetoric, opinion and self-aggrandizing," he wrote in an email to The Columbian.
Maybe The Liar believes enough time has passed that we've forgotten his betrayal of the people.  Maybe he thinks that his hypocrisy in accusing another elected official of something no one else on this planet is more guilty of is something we'll just overlook.

Maybe he failed to step away from the bong before he hit the keyboard.  Who knows?

But for Leavitt to accuse someone ELSE of this sort of thing in the face of HIS history?

Scum.  Pure scum.

Some day, hopefully soon, Leavitt is going to need Benton for something he'll want very, very badly.

And I also sincerely hope that Benton never forgets this self-serving, kneepads-to-the-special-interests crap that only a liar like Leavitt is so capable of.

The "facts" of the CRC would make any "responsible" elected official run away in horror.

Burdening this community with billions in debt and tolls for an eternity for a bridge we don't need, want or have the ability to afford?

Hammering 65,000 commuting families with thousands of additional dollars in tolls and blowing a $100,000,000 hole in our local economy every year?

No "responsible" elected official would have anything to do with this steaming crap pile.

Which, I guess, goes to explain why The Liar supports it so strongly, since he disqualifies himself as a "credible elected official."

Scum.  Pure scum.

The Columbian launches their "Save Tim 'The Liar' Leavitt from himself" campaign.

As I mentioned below, I went to that bizarro world or Tim "The Liar" leavitt last night to watch him try and squirm out of his lies and deceit.

It didn't work.

Predictably, much of the response to his cowardice didn't make the cut in our local cancer of a paper.

Following along in their efforts to rehab "Cowardman" Brian Baird and Jim "Candy Man" Moeller, the rag deliberately left out telling and ardent specific responses to The Liar's incompetence.

No mention in he article of the articulate and well supported plea for an advisory vote... a vote that The Liar said "wouldn't serve any purpose."

Leavitt town hall turns rambunctious on tolling protests

Attendees vent anger on many issues; some say it crossed
the line

This worthless article focused on the heat aimed at The Liar, but not the light.

Nothing about the specific concerns. Just a focus on the anger without using the word "betrayed."

The whining about civility. How civil was The Liar's betrayal of those who believed in him?

Of COURSE the crowd was angry. They just discovered what I knew all along: that The Liar had swindeled many of them out of their vote.

But the fact is that, for one example, the concern and suggestions about an advisory vote so we could all have a voice?

This article didn't even write a syllable about that. Why, other than being angry, this waste of ink would lead someone who hadn't been there to believe that no one even asked. And, in keeping with their "Save Leavitt" campaign, there wasn't a scintilla of The Liar's response: that such a vote "wouldn't make any difference."

That, of course, was an inadvertant oversight on the part of this cancer on our local society.... wasn't it? It couldn't have had anything to do with the rag failing to talk to opposition to this massive waste, or not wanting anything like the "Will of the people" to get in the way of their agenda.... would it?

More idiocy and lies from Tim "The Liar" Leavitt.

It is to our misfortune that Vancouver voters were taken in by such a lying sleazebag.  And the story in yesterday's Oregonian helps to illustrate what a truly lowlife scumbag he is:
He says his mission is to bring the issue to a vote in Clark County. "Let the people vote and decide," he said. "I think it's outrageous we're not allowed to vote on such an expensive project."

To which Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt asks: Who exactly should vote?
Can any one man be so disingenuously stupid?  Is it remotely possible?

Here's one group who should vote: the commuters this slimeball wants to hit in the head with $1300 per year in tolls.

Those 65,000 people and their wives/husbands Moms and Dads.  THEY should vote.

Leavitt, who became mayor on a campaign of lies, a web of deception, dishonor and the very worst in politics, asks that moronic question repeatedly, a if he doesn't know the answer.
"It's an interstate highway project that benefits the entire West Coast. Who votes? The residents of Washington, Oregon and California, or Canada and Mexico, because their trade partners benefit?" Leavitt said.
Such idiocy from an adult not locked up in a state mental hospital, let alone, elected to something.

"Who votes?"

THE FRICKING PEOPLE WHO YOU'LL EXTORT THE MONEY TO PAY FOR THIS, YOU MORON.
Leavitt said a de facto vote on light rail already has been done. "The candidates who are supportive of the project continue to get re-elected," Leavitt said.
Just another of the whopper lies this slimeball keeps telling:

Tom Mielke was "elected."  And what did he run on?

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt was "elected."  What was his platform again?

Steve "The Liar" Stuart was "elected."  What did he promise to get that done?
And what are chances "The Liar" will ever be elected to anything around here, ever again?

Authority to legislate is delegated.  But that delegation does not require the suspension of either disbelief or the ultimate authority of the people who DO vote.

Bridgers/looter slime like Leavitt do not want a vote.  They don't want a vote because they know what the outcome of such a vote would be.
Leavitt said it's impossible to throw a blanket over all light-rail foes. He has a good relationship with some.

And others? In nearly nine years in public office, first as a city councilman and now as Vancouver mayor, Leavitt says some light-rail opponents "have been the most aggressive and some the most disrespectful and underhanded in what I have experienced during my political tenure."

Leavitt believes light rail is beneficial to Clark County, because it ties into a multibillion-dollar investment already in place in the Portland area. Leavitt also believes the more people who take advantage of light rail, the more room it leaves on roadways for the transportation of goods.

Because of his light-rail stance, Leavitt is a lightning rod for light-rail opponents. "I think he is a wishful thinker, and he doesn't want to face reality," Madore said.
It's unfortunate the article doesn't revisit Leavitt's campaign of lies and deceit... which is, of course, the actual basis for "... the most aggressive and some the most disrespectful and underhanded[sic]" attitudes expressed towards Mayor Slimeball.

Let's remember:  Had Leavitt kept his word about his opposition to tolls.... had he not started a legal process of censorship of his opponents.... had he kept his campaign promise of quarterly town hall meetings... then he wouldn't be vilified and upheld as a textbook example of everything wrong in politics today.

But those are the choices HE made.  And if the whiny little bitch doesn't like the response to his lies, he can always resign, since he damned sure is going to BE resigned in his next election.

Is it any wonder many people are disgusted by the government we have?

Hhhhmmm...... Two Faces of Tim "The Liar" Leavitt? Or is it just basic incompetence?

.
So: here we have one Tim "The Liar" Leavitt in the local rag:
Leavitt did not dispute the union's account of his voting record. "Making sure to vote is very important, and I regret the instances where I did not register my opinion on the ballot," he said in a statement.

But he added, "This isn't really about my voting record on the ballot. It's my opponent's desperation on the eve of an election where he looks to be losing his longtime control over our city. How does this sleazy maneuver help our struggling communities today?"

And in the Oregonian across the river? Well, not exactly the same position.

Leavitt at first challenged the accuracy of the report, saying that his campaign supporters had done their own research showing "in the past 10 years I've only missed three voting opportunities."

If, as Tim "The Liar" tells us, this little issue has "...discounted... significance," then why so many versions? Why lie about it?

The stupidity of statement's like this:

He also disputed the union's contention that he didn't vote on three Vancouver School District maintenance and operations levies. Records show that Leavitt didn't live in the district boundaries at the time. Instead, he lived in the Evergreen district -- where he missed two of that district's money measure votes.

Can't be overstated.

It would appear that Leavitt can't even lie properly.... and up to this point, he's been so very good at lying.

The problem here is this:

Leavitt's screwed on this issue. As a result, instead of standing up and taking his medicine like a man... instead of holding himself accountable for his multiple failures in civic duty and acknowledging that those failures make him unfit for ANY elective office; instead of withdrawing from this election and resigning his city council seat, instead of doing the HONORABLE thing...

.... he whines.... and snivels.... and blames others for HIS failures. He's a complete clone of Steve "Easy Money if it's from Barnett" Stuart.

Is that the kind of leadership Vancouver needs... a weasel who deflects, who blames others... who is incapable of manning up and holding himself accountable for being a selfish jerk who thought so little of his civic duties when uncounted thousands of others had made the supreme sacrifice to insure that he could exercise that duty?

I was talking to a friend of mine about this very thing last night. We were downing a couple of aircraft carrier sized-burritos at Peppers, and he looked around and told me, "You know, there are some illegal aliens with better voting trecords that Leavitt."

Yes, the two faces of Tim "The Liar" Leavitt. But even combined, they amount to a squalling little piggy, unfit for the trough, let alone the most critical leadership position in Southwest Washington.

Friday, March 18, 2011

Steve Stuart earned "The Liar" moniker today, along with his buddy Tim "The Liar" Leavitt.

.
We all know the story of Tim "The Liar" Leavitt.

The Liar ran for mayor and made up a brand new, fake position, lying every time his mouth moved, over the issue of tolls.

He claimed he was opposed to tolls.

On this blog, I repeatedly claimed he was lying. I tried to warn people. I tried to tell them that he made up his fake opposition to tolls only to make up an issue out of whole cloth to separate himself from Royce Pollard, who he had been in lock step with FOR YEARS on every aspect of replacing the bridge and bringing loot rail over here.

Of course, during his campaign, one of the reasons I knew The Liar was lying was because Steve Stuart was a major advisor on The Liar's campaign. I knew that Stuart would dive into a vat of boiling hydrochloric acid before he'd ever support anyone even passingly opposed to tolls.

As it turned out (Surprise!) I was right. Leavitt was a lying little worm. Despicable does a disservice to the word.

And then, we get Steve Stuart.

Stuart lied twice in this article.

The first lie is this:

Clark County Commissioner Steve Stuart, a member of the C-Tran board of directors, said he’s familiar with the new political action committee’s poll and is confident both measures already have majority support.
The Liar has stated in a variety of places that he's terrified of a countywide vote, because he knows the public will slaughter it. Stuart knows the same thing, otherwise he would be breaking records to find a way to get a binding vote on the ballot in the sure and certain knowledge that it would shut people like me up.

That he has made no such effort speaks for itself. If the public actually DID support this crap pile... why would there need to be a campaign organization for it?

That such an organization exists speaks for itself. And no poll, as gerrymandered as the C-Trans taxing district to come out with a pre-ordained series of conclusions can change that.

The second lie?

“It’s a bad time to be asking for more,” he said. “If we need to ask voters to save bus service this year, then so be it. But nobody has made that policy case to me about the other measure, about why we have to go out this year.”

Well Steve, how about this?

As a member of the C-Tran board, Stuart said, he worked to protect lower fares for disabled riders and fought a move to cut transit services to the disabled.

As for light rail, he said, “My focus is to provide you with a vote, and because of the work we did, there is going to be a vote next November.”

Here's the best reason: BECAUSE YOU LYING SCUMBAG, YOU F^&*ING PROMISED US A VOTE AS A PART OF YOUR CAMPAIGN... AND YOU PROMISED IT FOR THIS NOVEMBER.

The economy sucks just as bad now as when you promised us all as a part of your campaign that we would get to vote THIS NOVEMBER. The fact that your vote will get clobbered and you want to give the "pro" side more time to gear up their campaign doesn't give you an excuse to lie to us, slimeball.

Oh, yeah.

I forgot. You only gave your word, and as we all know, YOUR word is WORTHLESS.

THAT'S why we get a vote this November.

But then, what the hell, you made The Liar everything he is... so why shouldn't you do the same thing he did? Lie to get elected, only to come up with excuses once people are dumb enough to vote you back in?

So, congrats. You join with Tim "The Liar" Leavitt and you've become Steve "The Liar" Stuart.

Enjoy your promotion. And don't think for one second that we will ever forget YOUR betrayal, either.

More from the cheerleading scum of the CRC and Tim "The Liar" Leavitt.

.
We know that the bridger/looters don't want us to have any say.  We know that because they are well aware that if this community were asked, we would yell a resounding "NO."

We know that Tim "The Liar" Leavitt, who has been a huge proponent of tolls and an equally huge proponent of shutting us out of the decision as to whether to build this thing or not, while he has been working his ass off to get this thing through... even though he knows we don't want it... as do all the slimeballs shilling this.

We know that Steve "The Liar" Stuart who's as much a scumbag as Leavitt, lying his ass off as a part of his campaign to get re-elected by promising us all a vote on this crap THIS November.

It was a lie when he said it, and it remains a lie now.  And is this where I remind you that Stuart was a major player in The Liar Leavitt's mayoral campaign?

Do you notice a similarity there, or is it just me?

We all know that Leavitt and the other bridger/looters are going to be stampeding this thing through without asking us.  We know that little worm lied to thousands of people who supported him over his position on tolling the bridge.  And now that whore has blackmailed the CRC into delaying... again... nailing down the vote (County or district) so Leavitt can continue to work to use the proven C-Tran dodge of putting the loot rail vote borders around every store in the county while cutting out tens of thousands of guaranteed no votes.

Stuart, on the other hand, says that he "wasn't comfortable using a subdistrict for the vote."

Right.

And Leavitt opposes tolls.

Does that mean that Stuart will threaten to use the COUNTY veto on anything EXCEPT a county wide vote?

Gee.  Was that possibility even mentioned in the article?

Like Leavitt, Stuart will change his position on the issue of a countywide vote.  He will make excuses that will sound strangely like the manure Leavitt trowels out in his complete failure of a justification for his dispicable flip and fraud on tolls and he will do absolutely nothing to stand in Leavitt's way because he'll finally admit that which we all already know: that this piece of crap has NO chance in a countywide vote.

None.

So, we won't get one.  We'll get a replay of that despicable crap C-Trans pulled where something on the order of 68,000 voters were exccluded ONLY from having a say... but NOT on paying the tax.

Because that's what scum do.  And who better to know that then the two Liars, joined at the hip by their hypocrisy?

I, of course, will never vote for any tax increase involving CTrans, Clark County, or Vancouver as long as I live.

On the other hand, with scum like these, I seriously doubt we'll ever be asked.

And let me leave you all with this: If The Liar Leavitt and the scum swiming around in his sewage pool are successful on this garbage heap, then this is just the first of many projects where they will engage in extortion and strong arm tactics more reminiscent of the 3rd Reich then of the United States to always get what they want.
.

Thursday, October 15, 2009

Ann Donnelly had a great column today in support of Tim "The Liar" Leavitt, except for one thing:

.
She blew it when she characterized Leavitt as being opposed to tolls.

When Tim "The Liar" Leavitt says, on one hand, that he allegedly opposes tolls, but then says he won't oppose the bridge iif tolls are are "must have," then what he's REALLY saying is that he DOESN'T oppose tolls.

You see, Ann, if he REALLY opposed tolls, then he would make that a binding condition of his support for the bridge. As in:
Mayoral candidate Tim Leavitt and city council candidates Jeanne Stewart (an incumbent) and Bill Turlay (running against Jack Burkman for an open seat) oppose bridge tolls, while Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire, Congressman Brian Baird, Portland Mayor Sam Adams, and Vancouver Mayor Royce Pollard tell us tolls are inevitable.
I must admit to some level of disappointment on Dr. Donnelly's part. As a former chair of the County Republican Party, I would have thought she would have been somewhat less gullible, and somewhat more attuned to "the Liar's" toll scam.

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt has been attempting to lull people into actually believing his garbage about opposing tolls. It is something of a disappointment that Ann Donnelly would actually fall for it.

The liar has made it clear he doesn't oppose tolls. What he's trying to do, and apparently succeeding a small amount with those not paying attention, is to get people to BELIEVE he opposes tolls.

The problem with that is more then just rhetoric.

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt does NOT oppose tolls if he will NOT oppose a bridge that has them.

And he won't do that. What he moronically calls "obstructionist," the rest of us call "standing up for principle."

Of course, to stand up for them, you have to have them. And this whiny, sniveling punk wouldn't know character and integrity if they walked up and bit him in the ass.

While I agree with much of Donnelly's analysis of the bridge tolling situation, I simply cannot believe she's allowed herself to get sucked in by The Liar's casket-salesman persona.

There are two candidates running for mayor. Only one of them is lying about tolls if this bridge is to get built.

It's unfortunate that Ms. Donnelly seems incapable of figuring out which one.

An oldy but a goody: something the democratian no doubt forgot on McEnerny-Ogle.

Back in 2011, AMO got some of the same cash that Tim "The Liar" Leavitt scammed from, it would seem, the same place:  The Cowlitz Tribe.

Here's the story:
Monday, October 24, 2011
Much is made of M.O.'s tenure on the planning commission.  But is anything made of the fact that she couldn't get re-appointed?
We already have a Jeannie Harris.  Do we need another one?
“Staff has received a few complaints about both incumbents. In the case of Commissioner McEnerny Ogle, the complaints relate to the way she has treated applicants and their representatives. Some complained that her questioning was unnecessarily harsh and her comments demeaning, particularly related to treatment of school district personnel. There have also been complaints that some of her decisions were made based on personal prejudices, not the decision criteria in the Development Code.”
Is comparing McEnerny-Ogle to Jeannie "Gavel Down" Harris legitimate?  It certainly could be... and here's another comparison that raises my hackles:
Tim "The Liar" Leavitt was elected with the help of illegal campaign contributions, money laundered through the hotel unions that started from a union in Seattle, was laundered through a union in New York, and dry-cleaned by a local in Portland (Unite Here?  Are you kidding me?) and done with the support of the unions in the Pollard Hilton (How's THAT for irony?)

Well, check THIS out:  How much does McEnerny-Ogle cost?

$32,556.65.
The SAME union that laundered money for Tim "The Liar" Leavitt is NOW laundering money for Anne McEnerny-Ogle.
So now, we're faced with the possibility of getting not only a version of Gavel Down Harris, but a version of Tim "The Liar" Leavitt as well.
Now that the word is out, do ya think the rag is going to beat up the unions for AGAIN laundering money and AGAIN doing for MO what they did for Leavitt?
This expenditure answers a lot of questions about MO: She's for the bridge and loot rail, and she'll be a guaranteed "yes" for tax and fee increases.
Lovely.
The slime of Vancouver.
BTW, vote for Turlay and Wentzel.  You could do a lot, lot, worse.  Just take a look at McEnerny-Ogle, for example.
What are chances the Tribe is going to pay this kind of money for her again?

Pretty high, I'd say.  And for those of you who like the idea of this economic black hole landing here, sucking up our local economy?

Remember that as those we elect wind up representing THEM, instead of US.

Another little bird swung by with more pearls of wisdom from Steve "The Liar" Stuart

Earlier I talked about Steve "The Liar" Stuart's babble about the CRC.

So much idiocy, so little time.

I missed part two of his morality play lecture, which looks like this:
Support the CRC project, oppose the project, as an elected official at least have an opinion, based on facts that have been discussed for 7+ years, instead of using political winds or rhetoric that is disrespectful to the thousands of commenters, 39 member taskforce, neighborhood advisory groups, env justice groups, etc., that worked hard to create the Federally approved project). As Mr. Miagi said in The Karate Kid - "Walk left side, safe. Walk right side, safe. Walk middle, sooner or later get squish just like grape." We need Jaime to espouse her opinion of the project, as the FHWA approved, at the very least so voters know what she thinks as they vote on anything. Just hiding until she has a vote in hand (from less than her whole district, and on only one piece) is not acceptable for anybody in a leadership position, especially our representative in Congress.

I get why Jaime wants to wait for a vote, regardless what it's on. Tim and I know better than most how divisive this project is, and how difficult (and muddy) the process has been to get to a Record of Decision. I personally have asked for things like a poll on how much people would pay for a toll given the benefits they'd receive, was promised it, and I haven't gotten it. I've asked for phasing plans because I don't believe the money will be there all at once, and have been promised we'll see something next year (only after the Governor's panel asked for it), and many other times I've been really frustrated with the process in time and cost.

HOWEVER, the bottom line is that this project needs to happen. We have the only lift span on I-5, with inadequate lane widths, no add-drop lanes so traffic comes in from a dead stop, no shoulders, an interchange system around the bridge that doesn't work, and the busiest port interchanges in our region within the project area. My point? I will continue to push for the financing pieces to be better for our local citizens (part of the reason to push Jaime to advocate as she promised in the campaign for more Federal $), but I support the project as it has been approved by every local agency of note, FTA, and now the Federal Highway Administration. Shouldn't we be able to expect the same clarity from our Congresswoman?:"
Among the many problems the liar has is his selective use of the term "facts."

There is a huge difference between self-serving figures from paid-off sources, designed and relied upon to support pre-ordained outcomes and because reality frequently interferes with a set agenda.  As anyone paying attention knows, saddling 65,000 commuters 13 or 14 or $1500 a year or more for unnecessary, unwanted and unaffordable tolls, particularly without asking those same commuters FIRST, means that "facts" do not enter into this equation.

The Liar Stuart's reliance on these figures is the same kind of reliance that led to the local debacle of the Hilton and the even larger debacle at the Wenatchee Town Toyota Center (TTC) a huge disaster visited on the town of Wenatchee and surrounding local communities who are now in default for $42,000,000 because, like the clowns running government here locally refuse to allow a vote, the clowns in Wenatchee made the same short-sighted, politically-expedient decision that has come back to bite them in the butt... in spades.... all on an obviously unsupported, unneeded and unwanted facility that the local economy could not afford.

So when you start with a lie, everything that follows is a lie.

That so many people were involved in planning for this execution is meaningless.  Unless or until a vote is held countwide, all these people did was design the rope.  Ignoring you, Stuart; ignoring them and ignoring this effort is absolutely proper, given that people like The Liar Stuart, The Liar Leavitt and the others who were ramming this down our throats.... are all ignoring the people.  You know.... the people who have to pay for this monstrosity?

The reason they've decided to ignore us is simple and obvious.  They know there is no way this rip off would survive at the polls if it were put to a countywide vote.

The Liar Stuart seems so concerned about disrespecting those stuffing this down our throats because not everyone... in fact, hardly anyone... agrees with this lynching.... that he forgets all about the fact that he and those like him are disrespecting US... FAR more.  The Liar Stuart lied to get reelected, promising an election on this scam for last November.  But even then, the area he would have allowed to vote would have been so small there is no way that would've reflected the true will of the people he would govern.

At the Federal level, unfortunately for us all, our congresswoman is a coward.  Tim "The Liar" Leavitt knocked her political teeth out when she tried to get us to actually believe she cared about what we wanted by asking for a worthless "district wide" vote on all of this.

The Liar Leavitt smacked her like a rented stepchild. And she folded like a cheap suit.  In fact, she's disappeared on the issue completely.

While not surprising, that in no way means that she should become their butt boy.

In all of his tripe, the biggest lie of the many lies from the liar Stuart is this one:
HOWEVER, the bottom line is that this project needs to happen.
There are a wide variety of cheaper, more efficient and more impactful alternatives that make this project completely unnecessary.  At the end of the day, the whole point of this exercise is to bring loot rail in from Portland.  Exclusive of the fact that no one wants loot rail in Vancouver, that requirement will make this the most expensive transportation project for its distance in history, costing us 10 billion unnecessary dollars when cheaper alternatives and additional bridges could and should be built in such a way that almost all of The Liar Stuart and The Liar Leavitt's concerns are addressed... and we get MUCH more capacity, freight mobility and reduced congestion.

Ridgefield Barbie will ultimately cave.  In an era where are our congresswoman should have a spine of titanium, we're cursed with a model who has a spine of spaghetti.  Otherwise, she already would've punished both The Liar Stuart and The Liar Leavitt.

Why these two are so eager to screw us is simply beyond my comprehension.  But neither the facts nor the non-existent and proven lack of support of the people justify the financial enslavement of generations of commuters to come for a project we do not want, do not need, and cannot afford.

"The Liar" Leavitt comes clean and admits it: "No tolls" was a lie and a campaign ploy.

.
From the start, I knew that Tim "The Liar" Leavitt was lying about his opposition to tolls.

There was never any question of this; Leavitt's campaign was run by rabid bridge-at-any-cost-or-toll democrat Steve "Easy Money" Stuart. There is no way.... NO WAY... that Stuart would have helped someone to becoming his partner in crime if that someone didn't also share his views on corruption and the Bridge.

Leavitt, who certainly lies with the best of them, showed his cards with an early endorsement of Obama. It's difficult to view anyone who took that political step as anything but a leftist moron, and Leavitt here is no exception to that rule.

So, now the reality is finally public: Mr. "I'm not an obstructionist, I oppose tolls but don't care if they're implemented" Leavitt has finally spilled the beans... the obvious lie is now front and center.

Congrats, Timmy. You've shot to the top of the "scummy and despicable lying politicians" list with a bullet.

To the kool aid drinkers of the Clark County GOP, many of whom, but not all, are drinking the same kind of kool aid as part of the Herrera Herd; I say this: I tried to tell you.

Leavitt was NO DIFFERENT from Pollard in his goals or methods. The only difference between Pollard and Leavitt, and why I supported Pollard in the last election was that Pollard, as completely wrong as he is about this moronic waste of billions for his pet project that HE won't have to pay for is this:

At least Pollard didn't lie about where he stood.

Leavitt did. Repeatedly. And that makes him pure political scum.

"Backs off" that stance?

In reality... he never had that stance. He hosed the people and the media. He lied repeatedly, over and over and over again. And now you have it in his own words.

Leavitt backs off his anti-tolling stance on I-5 bridge

Mayor adds that local traffic on both sides should also help pay

A new bridge across the Columbia River won’t get built without tolls, Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt acknowledged Friday.

Instead, he argued for a “more stable, more equitable financing plan” that wouldn’t rely solely on tolls collected at the bridge. Instead, Leavitt suggested spreading the burden to motorists who will benefit from five miles of freeway improvements on both sides of the Columbia without necessarily crossing the river.

“Folks could get on and off in the ‘bridge influence area’ and not get on the bridge,” Leavitt said Friday during a meeting of bridge project sponsors in Vancouver.

Leavitt is effectively reversing the anti-tolling stance that helped propel him into office last November.

Leavitt acknowledged Friday that the state Legislature authorizes tolls and the state Transportation Commission sets the rates. Even so, he had vowed during his campaign against incumbent Royce Pollard that he would fight as a voice for the estimated 60,000 Clark County residents who cross the river to work in Oregon.

“It’s becoming painfully apparent that I’m on the losing end of an effort to implement improvements in the Interstate 5 corridor without a local financing piece that will have a direct impact on the wallets of Clark County commuters,” he said in an e-mail Friday. “The tool that everybody else is locked into is tolls.”

Leavitt is now suggesting a form of point-access tolling, which would assess a fee for any single-occupant vehicle that enters the corridor. He specifically mentioned Oregonians who drive on I-5 between Marine Drive and Hayden Island, although the same burden would theoretically apply to travel between state Highway 500 and downtown Vancouver.

“By better capturing tolls from users south of the river, and thus broadening the base of collection, my hope is that tolls placed at the bridge crossing can be limited,” Leavitt said.

Leavitt noted that the Columbia River Crossing project includes plenty of interchange improvements beyond the bridge itself, including refinements intended to lessen the bridge’s hulking footprint on Hayden Island.

Project planners anticipate splitting costs among the federal government, the two states and money generated by tolling. Now estimated to cost between $2.6 billion and $3.6 billion, the project includes a replacement for the twin three-lane drawbridges across the river, an extension of Portland’s light rail transit system into downtown Vancouver, and freeway interchange improvements between state Highway 500 and Marine Drive in Portland.

On the campaign trail, Leavitt suggested boosting the federal share while paring back the project’s ambitions.

“I’ve come to the realization that the costs and parameters of this project cannot be pared enough to prevent the need for local financing,” he said Friday.

The mayor floated his alternate approach near the end of a meeting of local elected leaders and state transportation officials at the Washington State Department of Transportation offices in Vancouver.

Leavitt said afterward that he believes it’s the best way to minimize the financial burden on Clark County commuters.

“This approach to tolling represents a broader application of traffic demand management, broadens the base of financial participation, and might just pay off the bonds for the improvements more quickly, thus reducing the overall cost of the project,” he said.

So, Vancouver has a mayor lied just like Portland's Sam Adams lied about having sex with a teenage boy.

Congrats, Vancouver. You really DO have the government you deserve.
