Quick reminder on the local CRC/IBR loot rail scam: By POLICY, they didn't WANT public input and completely ignored it on the CRC... just like they are now on the IBR loot rail scam.

Of course. The entire thing is a scam to infest Clark County with TriMet's loot rail.

Or so said the Oregon Supreme Court:

The answer, according to the court: The massive Interstate 5 bridge and freeway project is a "political necessity" to persuade Clark County residents to accept something they previously didn't want—a MAX light-rail line from Portland to Vancouver. (To read the Feb. 16, 2012 Oregon Supreme Court decision regarding the Columbia River Crossing Project, click here: https://caselaw.findlaw.com/court/or-supreme-court/1608702.html
They didn't have to "persuade" the citizenry. And they never did.

In fact, they planned to IGNORE US ALTOGETHER, EXACTLY LIKE THEY ARE NOW:

Except from the CRC Memo: Columbia River Crossing: Project Sponsors Council Roles and Responsibilities

Two Money Quotes:
1. I assume that each PSC member would be briefed in advance of the decision meetings by senior staff of their organizations. Senior staff is responsible for providing requested information and responding to questions. It is expected that each of the PSC decision meetings would result in a decision with no need for extended deliberations in future meetings. This approach would require extensive coordination among PDT members prior to the meetings.

The decision meetings would be open to the public, but only minimum legal notices would be provided and no display advertising would be placed. We would not encourage public participation. The Task Force chairs would be expected to attend and respond to PSC questions concerning the Task Force recommendations. Task Force members would be made award of the meetings. Meeting notes would be prepared and posted on the website.
and:
2. Non-decision meetings should be treated as opportunities for the PSC members to advise the PDT on key issues. No “official” decisions should be made at the meetings. No public notice would be provided and Task Force participation would not be sought. Meeting notes would be prepared but not posted on the website (the same as RPG and working group meeting notes).
Rest assured, the scum ramming this garbage down our throats no more care about public input, or the public generally now, than they did then.

And they didn't THEN by ACTUAL, WRITTEN, POLICY.

Nope. There was no more persuasion on this scam, then nor now, than the Soviets persuaded women to be assaulted when they took Berlin in World War Eleven.

All they had to do was buy the scum in Washington State and local government.

Sideshow Bob, out with the "unclean," shilling his statewide, all-wage-earner income tax scam.

Whoever running Sideshow's social media has him out there working HARD to sell his latest class warfare scam.

THE #1 source of chaos in Washington State is the fringe-left clown in the video.

Sideshow, stop blaming the disaster you've turned this state into on anyone but yourself.

You're lying about the so-called "Millionaire's Tax" that even a dull-normal cretin like you knows violates the state's Constitution AND is merely a temporary stop on the road to a statewide income tax for EVERY wage earner, while you play dumb-ass class warfare games.

And you also know that soon, EVERYONE with a wage, a bank account, stocks, a job of any kind will be paying this tax as well.

And yet, you and the rest of your gutless cowards refuse to tell the truth, refuse to take responsibility for YOUR irresponsible actions and instead, try to ram "Trump's Fault" down our throats as cover for your incompetence and lies.

Your refinery tax slush fund comes to mind. Leftists lied about that garbage from the get and now you're hurting ALL of us, including this disabled, fixed income veteran.

Is it any wonder so many despise this state's government?

Newspapers believe we have to give them taxpayer money. Conflict of interest, anyione?

The Seattle Times, which is to political fairness what concrete is to cottage cheese, is demanding a bail out of state taxpayer dollars... of $24 million.... to start... but we all know, of course, that number will climb higher and faster as long as they continue to play ball with those in the legislature cutting the checks. .

How could it not?

Such a bill would cement the obvious fringe-left bias of most every newspaper in the state.

How is it REMOTELY possible to continue the charade of impartiality the media is SUPPOSED to have (but which we all know, have long since given up even the APPEARENCE of in either their articles or their editorials) when those they cover are cutting 8 figure checks to buy their cooperative coverage?

Wasn't it democrat Lyndon Johnson who once famously said that, "...down in Texas, once we buy a politician, he stays bought?"

And these news outlets supposed to benefit from this corruption would be any different?

It isn't. This is nothing but progressive advertising, paid for by OUR money, cash on the barrel head, under the guise of news.

Leftist bias in this state's major media is both well-known and undeniable. This is a guarantee it will stay this way.
How can any media outlet accept taxpayer money without supporting those who gave them the cash?

These scum want taxpayer money to continue to pump out leftist propaganda at taxpayer expense!

And this Seattle Times article expects us to go along with it?
What other business get taxpayer money to stay in business in this state? Bakeries? Car washes? Grocery stores? What?
Why is it OK for leftist propaganda organs but no one else?
We don't need biased local news in this state. We have enough of this garbage as is, and the costs to buy their products are OBSCENE.

If you can't compete with other news sources, then close down. If you have to shut down because you can't steal our money to run your "for profit" democrat PR arm?
You won't be missed. And proof of that is how have we survived without the Seattle Post Intelligencer, which went under several years ago, save for a website? Not only NO, but HELL no. Not a penny. This is NOT why we pay taxes to the Washington Soviet, and they waste enough of our money as is.

So the Pole Dancer and her Stolen Valor Neocommunist finally agree to a scam interview.

Pathetic. Pre-recorded. Scripted. Polished to make her look good. And still, it was a full-on disaster. She looked hung over. Pure cowardice. Fits in well with the Pole Dancer and No Balz Walz. Imagine this level of cowardice facing down China... Russia... muslim terrorists. Oh.... wait. That's what we've got now. How's that working out for us?

The Native American Privilege Card?

More waste of millions from Washington State taxpayers. Not that leftists care.

Since their is no risk of "rising sea levels" (Just ask Barrack Obama with his purchase of a seaside mansion a few years ago) and the likelihood of a tsunami roughly the same as winning powerball, THIS is yet another waste of millions. To, of course, be followed by several million more taxpayer dollars to do something designed to provide this "tribe" with brand new housing in some other location.... not because they HAVE to move... but because they WANT to move.
Where do I get MY Native American Privilege Card?
They want to move?
Swell. I want to move as well, because I might get flooded out by the Columbia River.
Where's MY $3 million? The tribe in question appears to be the Quinaults. You know, the SAME Quinaults who have this thing right on the seaside known as the Quinault Beach Resort & Casino? With casino income, why the hell do they need a dime from us? How many times and in how many ways are these people getting paid off? Are they going to scam the taxpayers of this state to pay them to move their casino as well?

Here's the FB story:

The whole story of how the gas tax happened and the corruption that caused it.

Let me say at the outset that this was a carefully scripted, carefully orchestrated  scam from the get go... a con job from the start.

The script called for Inslee to panic the people by announcing last year that he, unilaterally, was going to do something that he could not do, counting on the ignorance of the people on government process and the state constitution... as well as the Gruber-like "stupidity of the voters"... by threatening to jack up the gas tax by as much as $2.00 per gallon.

That Inslee and the left have zero interest in committing political suicide for the next decade by doing such a thing never seemed to enter into the equation, particularly when those who wanted the gas tax the most... the Senate GOP... began to carry Inslee's water for him.

The GOP Senate immediately came out with a gas tax scam that makes the CRC rip off look like a fender-bender.

Included within the Senate plan is language referred to as a "poison pill."
But as part of the deal, Senate Republicans have insisted that if Inslee began drafting a new fuel standard then hundreds of millions of dollars would be diverted from public transit into road projects. They contend the standard will drive up the price of gas and thus drivers should receive a greater share of the benefits in the package.
The problem with that is four-fold:

First, once the money for any project, regardless of where it's going, is bonded out, that revenue stream CANNOT be interrupted.

Courts at every level all over the country have ruled thus, and as a result, if anyone even TRIES to implement this clause, it'll lose in the first court it's argued... and any court after that... as the Senate well knows.

Second, Inslee had no intention of doing this, since he knows he can't, legally, unilaterally collect any tax without legislative authority.  That's why the bill to collect a carbon tax died in the House; the fact is that if he COULD collect such a tax without Legislative approval...

...then why did he have a bill in the House to allow the tax to be collected?

Third, presuming that Inslee COULD collect such a tax on his own, who in their right mind believes he would be stopped or dissuaded from doing so by an 11.9 cents per gallon tax when he could get a lot more, a lot faster, merely by waving his pen?

Fourth, the political fallout of such a move would be practically incalculable.

Such a tax at that level, and those behind it, would be reinforced to everyone who owns a car every time they filled up.

With the new gas tax, every time you put 20 gallons of gas into anything, you'd be sending WADOT $13.60 or so of the cost, no matter how much the price of gasoline goes up... as it inevitably will.

Put Inslee's $2.00 per gallon gas tax on it, and you'd be sending them $51.00 or so.

Residents of border counties would buy their gas in Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia.  Such a decision would crush the dems around here to below super-majority levels.  It would have made the Trade Authority fistfight (Where, come to think of it, it was the GOP who caved on that as well) look like a fender-bender and it would have crushed any possible reelection bid for Inslee and most other dems in this state, immediately turning this state from the deep purple color it is now to a pale pink.

This was the start of the conjob.  And senators who took that message out... that they HAD to jack the gas tax to stop Inslee, are just as guilty of lying to us as he is.

Another part of the gas tax scam was the GOP Senate's "Transportation Reform Package," a package that has, for the most part disappeared, if sources are correct.

The two biggest reforms in sheer dollars were ending the Sales Tax scam where transportation dollars were shifted to the general fund through forcing sales tax to be paid on these state-financed projects... and getting rid of prevailing wage for these jobs, which has lined union pockets, subsequently getting democrats elected... while further raping the taxpayers.

We were told, repeatedly, by proponents of this scam that these two would save us well over a billion out of the $15 BILLION to be wasted for this fraud.

Well, none of that appears to be happening.  But it sounded GREAT at town hall meetings, didn't it?

The GOP Senate's Swindle Sheet

Then, of course, there was the Brad Owen Scam.

Owen, as Lieutenant Governor, is also President of the Senate.

He runs the senate (To the extent the GOP Leader lets him) and makes decisions on parliamentary procedure, points of order and the like.

The GOP Senate, concerned they didn't have the votes, had Owen declare the rule that THEY, the GOP SENATE IMPLEMENTED, unconstitutional.

The GOP Senate COULD have challenged the decision and overturned it by a simple majority (25) (and the GOP Senate has 26 GOP Caucus members) but they did nothing.

And they did nothing because they wanted Owen to make that particular ruling to get the gas tax passed.

Oddly, however, a month or so later when the general fund/operating budget came up for consideration, Owen suddenly reversed himself and voila'!  The formerly UNconstitutional rule was now, inexplicably... Constitutional!

Now... why do you suppose Owen would do THAT?

We all certainly heard in the media of the Owen decision to throw the rule out for being "unconstitutional." (Which he has no right to do; he cannot determine the constitutionality of a rule or a bill... that's for the courts to decide.) But we did not hear a PEEP out of anyone that Owen had reversed himself on the general fund budget.

So, what was the cause of the media blackout on THIS minor detail?

No matter, I suppose.

Meanwhile, MY Senator, Ann Rivers, who ran on the following transportation platform back in 2012:
I believe in the concept that every dime of taxpayer money (meaning every dollar of revenue from whatever the source) should be squeezed until it screams. I will not support an increase in the gas tax. I will not support increases in tab fees. The people have spoken and I have listened. We will spend billions to move the tiniest number of people when we should be finding an implementing new and innovative ways to move the MOST number of people for the LEAST amount of money. Wasteful spending like that on the CRC is not what we want or need. Massive projects like that MUST have the permission of those who, allegedly, will “benefit” from such a project at the ballot box. At minimum, ALL of the financial impacts, including the obvious negative impacts on families and small business depending on the hundreds of dollars per year must be considered: not just the cherry-picked variety favored by proponents of light rail and replacing a bridge in the same location. The Rivers Wheels Plan: Transportation that Works
In fact did that very thing.

She DID vote for an increase in the gas tax.  She HAS voted for legislation that allows local municipalities to jack your tab fee... without a vote from you.

I am at a loss, personally.  And this kind of thing is part and parcel as to why I left campaigning altogether a few months ago.

MEANWHILE, there was a staged set-piece drama, again, carefully scripted, where Inslee CAVED on his carbon tax scheme that he couldn't/wouldn't implement anyway and that he never had any intention of implementing, all to provide additional cover to the GOP Senate for their part of the scam.

All of this could have been avoided, of course, had the GOP Senate insisted on a referendum clause and avoided stupidly putting an emergency clause on this obviously non-emergency legislation.

Even I would have supported this legislation had the final word been left to us.

All the GOP Senate had to do was put this to a vote of the people.  But as it turns out, the GOP Senate is just as terrified of the will of the people as the fringe-left they had defeated to take control

The end result?

Clark County gets 1.3% or so of the entire package ($200 million out of $15 BILLION) and half of that is spent on an unneeded, unwanted rebuild of the Mill Plain/I-5 Freeway intersection.

The likely result for the GOP, however, will have long-lasting ramifications.

I would never consider supporting anyone who voted "yes" on this rip off or was involved in setting up/implementing this con job.

For the GOP to treat the people precisely and exactly like the democrats they had replaced to take charge of the Senate is inexplicable and inexcusable.  And my guess is they will now lose the Senate and cripple House chances in 2016 because of it.

This is precisely the same way the democrats were treating us on the CRC/Loot Rail scam because, well, hell... now we know for sure that NONE of those voting for this crap give a damn what we think.

Leg democrats explode leftist electoral carnage device: November disaster awaits.

.
Democrat state senator Lisa Brown, having obviously grown tired of democrat control of the Washington State Senate, today took a major step in returning that control to Senate Republicans with the introduction of her moronic state income tax bill.

Brown, already on political suicide watch for an equally idiotic play to get rid of I-960 even before the ink dried; now sits atop a political organization with all the structural integrity of rice pudding slathered over pig intestines, indicated a new level of determination to assist in leading her party to a Dresden-like destruction at the polls this November; of a variety previously only witnessed in Hiroshima when a bunch of folks heard something and said "What's that?" 10 years to the day before my birthday or the 1994 elections, whichever came first.

Clearly, the utter cluelessness demonstrated by our president has seeped down to the lower levels of the fringe left, infesting their leadership with a political death wish unheard of since the days of Soviet expansionism as illustrated by the Warsaw Pact's response to Hungary in '56.

So, as far as that goes, I applaud Brown's efforts to increase GOP numbers in the Leg. It's the kind of thing that will truly make 1994 look like a fender-bender in comparison. Clearly, Brown is as bright as she is tall, and at 4 foot 5 inches or so, that ain't sayin' much.

Well Done!

Confusing motion with action: Obama and airport security.

.
Our president has brought himself a series of major problems.

His failures to secure our air travel, sending out that moron to tell us "the system worked..." and now all this talk about about new, intrusive (and no doubt, incredibly expensive) and in the case of the Crotchbomber, utterly useless airport scanners.

This is a CLASSIC bait and switch. It's the very definition of attempting to confuse the American population that they're REALLY doing something THIS time... and even though it's going to cost us MORE billions, they overlook that fact that had these scanners been in place.... had the Crotchbomber actually BEEN scanned with one of these...

.... it wouldn't have made any difference. It wouldn't have worked, anyway.

It hasn't been so long that I've forgotten one critical, post 9/11 fact: The hijackers did nothing before the attack started that was illegal in the sense that they carried illegal or otherwise prohibited items on board those aircraft.

Government under Bush felt that a huge response to the matter was necessary, however, so they embarked on a massive, incredibly wasteful program to increase federal employment (and federal unions) by an additional 70,000 or so federal employees.

The items they brought on board the aircraft were not prohibited at the time. They didn't "slip through" security. No one looked the other way.

The fact is that they were successful in large part because no one anticipated that 20 guys could hijack 4 aircraft and fly them into targets which would have resulted in the deaths of the hijackers as well as the passengers.

A fanatic willing to die in the name of their cause to complete their crime is the most dangerous of all. While not completely unknown in our society, we had relegated them to a Waco-like status, where adherents were nut jobs, incapable of the planning and coordination the 9/11 attacks actually required.

They were mostly successful because we were mostly unprepared. And no amount of federalizing 70,000 people would have made any damned difference even if that had been done BEFORE the hijacking.

But the White House (Bush) needed to do SOMETHING to keep the people from focusing on the systemic failure of our security system that allowed this to happen. So, this massive and ongoing waste of money was whipped up with democrat approval (obviously) and the GOP was too timid to point out what a waste it was, and how it wouldn't have made any difference in the outcome, anyway.

We made all these changes. And, we changed policies to keep the items used in the hijackings off our aircraft. And yet, even since then, we've had at least two attempts to destroy aircraft by passengers who made it through all this new-fangled security.

And now, what's the big push?

Why, it's implementing full-body scanners that seem to be capable of reading a woman's "tramp stamp" tattoo, but which would NOT have been capable of figuring out the Crotchbomber had actually had a bomb under his clothes or his junk, for that matter.

But oh, man... is our president responding.... or WHAT?

Are planned airport scanners just a scam?

New technology that Gordon Brown relies on for his response to the Christmas Day bomb attack has been tested – and found wanting

By Jane Merrick

The explosive device smuggled in the clothing of the Detroit bomb suspect would not have been detected by body-scanners set to be introduced in British airports, an expert on the technology warned last night.

The claim severely undermines Gordon Brown's focus on hi-tech scanners for airline passengers as part of his review into airport security after the attempted attack on Flight 253 on Christmas Day.

The Independent on Sunday has also heard authoritative claims that officials at the Department for Transport (DfT) and the Home Office have already tested the scanners and were not persuaded that they would work comprehensively against terrorist threats to aviation.

The claims triggered concern that the Prime Minister is over-playing the benefits of such scanners to give the impression he is taking tough action on terrorism.

And experts in the US said airport "pat-downs" – a method used in hundreds of airports worldwide – were ineffective and would not have stopped the suspect boarding the plane.

More:

So, yeah. Our "shout out" president is REALLY making changes (Now, anyway.)

The problem is that it's fairly clear that none of them will make any difference.

But then, he doesn't care if it does or not.

He only cares that you THINK it does.

Next sacrificial lamb up, maybe Brian Hatfield?

.
So, Brian Hatfield might have the itch.

The problem is that Hatfield is best known for having his buddy, Brad Owen, create a job for him that resulted in a 37% increase in Owen's budget back in 05.

Now, Hatfield didn't particularly do anything or have any particular experience for the job that Owen made up for him, but, what they hey. Owen was a buddy, and in a position to shaft the taxpayers for this guy, so, why not?

Here's some details from the time:

The Seattle Times did a report on Lieutenant Governor Brad Owen's massively increased budget request.

Now, I’ve got to tell you… I think Brad does a GREAT job. In fact, we could do worse for governor or senator (Hey, wait a minute… we HAVE done worse! What am I saying?) and I vote for him on a regular basis. In fact, Brad and Brian Sonntag are my two automatic democrat votes.

But I’ve got a problem with this entire situation.

See, Brad hired then newly re-elected State Representative Brian Hatfield (D-19) because… well, because Brian needed a job. Not that there WAS a job, you understand. Brad liked Brian enough to make UP a job, exclusively for him… because, apparently, outside of being a democrat state representative, Brian couldn’t find a job on his own. In the interest of full disclosure, though, I wonder if Brian had let the voters of the 19th know that if he got a better offer, he was going to dump them like a bad habit. No matter… in that regard, what’s done is done.

Now, I freely admit that democrats are geniuses at this sort of thing. The moment they take power in any office, they immediately begin to replace staff with choices of their persuasion, or, as Brad did, make up jobs for their cronies to keep them in the game.

Republicans rarely emulate that effort, which is just one of the many shortsighted reasons why Republicans are not in power in this state.

That said, Brad decides to pay Brian a lot of money for this made-up, previously unneeded job. More money, in fact, than any other employee in the Lieutenant Governor’s Office.

Well, I’ve got to tell you, I can understand that. I mean, how weird is it that Brian was paid more…. A LOT more…. Than the guy he would titularly answer to, Brad’s Chief of Staff?

So, part of this massive increase is a result of the “bow wave” effect caused by Brian’s hiring.

According to the article, Brian, who hasn’t been there long enough, relatively speaking, to figure out where the office men’s room is located, is somehow worthy of a $5200 pay increase, in addition to his $68,500 that he’s already getting.

But, because Brad is paying this guy so much friggen money, he has to bump everyone ELSE in the office up… so Brad’s Chief-of-Staff gets a $20,000 a year raise to $70,000, a “deputy director and international trade specialist” gets a $25,000 bump to $65,000 while others are getting pay raises of $3,500 to $8,600 yearly, while every OTHER state employee has to make do with 3.2% this year and 1.6% next year.

Brad, your excuse that this is a “pay equity” issue doesn’t wash.

1. Everyone in your office, presumably, knew what he or she was getting when they agreed to work for you. “Pay equity” has nothing to do with it.

2. Even if “pay equity” WAS a valid reason to get these outrageous pay raises through, it cannot be justified in the face of government’s failure to address “pay equity” for EVERY state employee. In short, your staff are state employees, no better or worse then any other state employees. Further, you know as well as I do that you’re buying your staff’s silence, to keep them from complaining about this hiring.

3. You pro-offered no REASON for hiring Brian in the first place. His hiring was, in fact, a violation of his commitment to the voters and an abuse of your power and discretion. There was NOTHING noted in the article that spelled out ANY experience, education or training on Brian’s part that would qualify him, even for a made up job like this one… because if he WAS qualified for this job, he would have NO difficulty getting a job somewhere ELSE.

4. I’m sorry his wife has cancer. My left knee hurts… is that a reason you should hire me? Brian’s insurance coverage is no better or worse working for you than as a state representative. Her cancer, as unfortunate as it is, justifies nothing and I’m surprised that anyone would suggest that it does.

5. Here’s a bulletin. We are in the midst of a multi-billion dollar budget deficit. So you decide to pile on with this budgetary excess?

Brad, I believed in you. Not as a democrat or a member of any organization. I believed in YOU.

But when you abuse the budget in this manner, you abuse each of the 6 million people who inhabit this state... and, as I am one of those people, struggling to pay your taxes and keep my home… you abuse me.

The people would be best served by your decision to fire Brian and to give your staff the same level of raises that any other state employee gets. This is an issue greater then your decision to help out a buddy at the expense of those of us you would govern.
Brad Owen never answered my letter. I was not worthy of a response.

I am, after all, just one of his constituents. So, why should he bother to answer me?

No matter. The end result is that Hatfield has to explain this.... and do it in such a way that it makes sense.

Good luck with that, Brian. You're gonna need it.

So, do you Vancouver GOP'ers get it, yet? Leavitt IS a liar.

.
I have placed post after post on this blog pointing out where Tim "The Liar" Leavitt is doing his best to live up to the sobriquet I applied to him.

I pointed out that the ONLY reason this clown hitched his wagon to the toll issue was because he needed something.... ANYTHING... to separate himself from Pollard, since they were, essentially, attached at the hip.

To The Lair's credit, and that of his entirely democrat campaign staff which included Steve "I can be bought" Stuart, he pulled it off. His web of lies and deceit counted on the fact that the right wing in Vancouver is essentially made up of delusional types who see things the way they want them... and not the way they are.

As I have stated throughout the entirety of that scumbag's campaign: Tim "The Liar" Leavitt WAS ALWAYS IN FAVOR OF TOLLS, just like the fact that he was ALWAYS IN FAVOR OF THIS BRIDGE AND ALWAYS IN FAVOR OF LOOT RAIL.

Now.... tell me how that's different from Pollard?

I cannot even begin to fathom how so many on the right were taken in by this leftist scum bag. *I* tried to tell you. *I* tried to tell EVERYONE... but you people refused to listen.

And yet, as I read the comments on the article in question, it becomes clear that even though you idiots were taken in by this casket salesman, you STILL support him!

Clearly, the one thing politicians can count on is the stupidity of the voter.

Just ask that empty-suited, Anti-American racist bigot in the White House.

People, you got hosed. The problem is that YOUR stupidity is going to cost us all.

ANOTHER $10,000 of East Coast, special interest money for Tim "The Liar" Leavitt?

.
SOMEBODY is buying Tim "The Liar" Leavitt, precisely like SOMEONE bought Steve "I'll take $100,000 in unmarked bills laundered through Progressive Majority, Mr. Barnett" Stuart.

So far, that SOMEONE has laundered $40,000 through an East Coast union with absolutely NO dog in this fight... like SOMEONE laundered $100,000 through Progressive Majority for Commissioner Steve Stuart (D-Barnett)

I WILL find out who, and hopefully get them indicted. Meanwhile that these people felt compelled to scam this cash through a union on the other side of the country must mean SOMETHING... something like they think Leavitt has managed to lose an election that was, sure enough, his TOO lose... and this expenditure means that it looks like he's pulled it off brilliantly.

You know, a lot of people are going to look like idiots here.

If Leavitt manages to pull this off then he, like Stuart, will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of whoever is buying him. And I AM going to find out who that is.

Saturday, October 24, 2009

So... who's laundering money into Tim "The Liar" Leavitt's campaign?

.
You've got to wonder where the money is coming from for Tim "The Liar" Leavitt.

$35,000 has been laundered so far. The questions are: Who? How? Why? and for What?

I'm still working on I'Ding the source of the New York money. Rumor has it that the cash from New York City will be matched by somewhere through Georgia.

Who's behind that money? Why would Leavitt not condemn it? Why wouldn't he shut it off? Why wouldn't he go to the source and demand that the money be returned so he couldn't benefit from it... and that the canvessers that HE unleashed and then lied about when it came to them working for Pollard, be defunded?

Why would east coast money be piling up for The Liar?

I mean, after all, according to The Liar, he can shut off independent expenditure with a snap of the fingers... SO WHY DOESN'T LEAVITT TURN HIS OFF?

Simple. Because he's a rank, slimy, hypocrite.

Unfortunately for this community, he's surrounded himself with slimy hypocrites, Like Steve "Put the cash in a plain paper bag, Mr. Barnett" Stuart, and we're all made to suffer for it.

With his lies about tolls on the I-5 bridge replacement/loot rail scam and his newly hatched "tax everyone instead of tolls" plan, combined with his playground campaign lies and character assassination of his opponent and the fact that this slimy worm didn't bother to vote, time after time, after time, after time, after time, after time, after time, after time, after time, after time, after time, after time, after time, after time, after time, after time... and he has proven himself unfit to hold ANY elective office.
.

Thursday, October 15, 2009

Ann Donnelly had a great column today in support of Tim "The Liar" Leavitt, except for one thing:

.
She blew it when she characterized Leavitt as being opposed to tolls.

When Tim "The Liar" Leavitt says, on one hand, that he allegedly opposes tolls, but then says he won't oppose the bridge iif tolls are are "must have," then what he's REALLY saying is that he DOESN'T oppose tolls.

You see, Ann, if he REALLY opposed tolls, then he would make that a binding condition of his support for the bridge. As in:
Mayoral candidate Tim Leavitt and city council candidates Jeanne Stewart (an incumbent) and Bill Turlay (running against Jack Burkman for an open seat) oppose bridge tolls, while Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire, Congressman Brian Baird, Portland Mayor Sam Adams, and Vancouver Mayor Royce Pollard tell us tolls are inevitable.
I must admit to some level of disappointment on Dr. Donnelly's part. As a former chair of the County Republican Party, I would have thought she would have been somewhat less gullible, and somewhat more attuned to "the Liar's" toll scam.

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt has been attempting to lull people into actually believing his garbage about opposing tolls. It is something of a disappointment that Ann Donnelly would actually fall for it.

The liar has made it clear he doesn't oppose tolls. What he's trying to do, and apparently succeeding a small amount with those not paying attention, is to get people to BELIEVE he opposes tolls.

The problem with that is more then just rhetoric.

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt does NOT oppose tolls if he will NOT oppose a bridge that has them.

And he won't do that. What he moronically calls "obstructionist," the rest of us call "standing up for principle."

Of course, to stand up for them, you have to have them. And this whiny, sniveling punk wouldn't know character and integrity if they walked up and bit him in the ass.

While I agree with much of Donnelly's analysis of the bridge tolling situation, I simply cannot believe she's allowed herself to get sucked in by The Liar's casket-salesman persona.

There are two candidates running for mayor. Only one of them is lying about tolls if this bridge is to get built.

It's unfortunate that Ms. Donnelly seems incapable of figuring out which one.

Local loot rail fans, here's the future for us: Sound Transit - $3.1 BILLION DOLLARS LESS THAN PLANNED TO BE COLLECTED.

.
That's right, folks. Like the rest of the lies from Loot Rail fans, our closest massive waste of money in Seattle is coming in a mere $3.1 BILLION dollars short on their budget.

Sales and car tab taxes, tab taxes that have driven renewal costs to absurd levels, will have to be jacked up even HIGHER because of these lying scum.

And we're going to be facing the same thing here in EVERY respect.

That $4 BILLION waste of money for a bridge we don't want or need... a bridge that's entire reason for being replaced is ONLY to get loot rail into Vancouver? Figure on at least TWICE that much.

And who is going to make up for the shortfall? Talk about income redistribution.

And the money making quote in this article?Among the consequences:
Future light-rail lines will need to adhere to low-cost, simple designs, agency managers said. No cuts in service were suggested at Sound Transit's board meeting Thursday.
OK... I'll bite: THESE MORONS ARE FACING A $3.1 BILLION DEFICIT. WHY THE HELL WEREN'T "CUTS" SUGGESTED?

This is yet another in the series of reasons why I-1033 MUST be approved. Out of control spending and waste by out of control government bureaucrats and elected officials who simply DON'T CARE since it's not their money.

These people lied about how much their absurd level of taxes and fees for a worthless, obsolete, unneeded and unwanted transportation system that only amounts to bus replacements for the view who have an astounding amount sucked out of OUR pockets for THEIR transportation needs.

Disgusting... and a total rip off.

They tell us they only plan to waste $4 BILLION on this steaming pile.

Don't believe them. Don't believe them because the number of times these kinds of projects skyrocket over budget in comparison to the number of times they come in under the number they promise is geometrically higher.

Between this kind of swindle and the empty suited, anti-American racist bigot actually ACCEPTING the Noble Piss Prize, I have rarely been more disgusted with my government.

Destroying trust in government: Jon Russell's Blog

.
I hate political corruption. I hate it when the left tries it, as The Empty Suit has practiced it since he swindled us into voting for him.

I hate it when the right tries it, like Jon Russell, congressional candidate, is trying it now.

Jon passes himself off as some kind of conservative. But it's all for show.

One must not be judged by what they say or write when they're running for office. To find out the truth, one must review what one has done when he or she wasn't a candidate. And Russell is no exception.

Russell is no more a conservative than he is a brain surgeon. The fact of the matter is that I know a lot about Mr. Russell. And over the next several months, more and more will be provided on this blog, so you, too, will get to know Mr. Russell like I do.

And here's a disclaimer.

I do not work for any campaign. I am not writing this because anyone has told me to do so. I am not being paid, promised, threatened or coerced in any way. I just happen to know Mr. Russell and I don't like what I see. That said:

Today's tidbit?

We had a Port Levy election not too long ago back, when the Port Commissioners arrogantly attempted to ram a huge tax increase down our collective throats for money that, ultimately, they didn't need. The campaign was a miserable failure, losing in the vicinity of 70% "no" to 30% "yes."

Who was the political genius that ran that effort? Who was paid to do everything he could to ram through one of the largest tax increases in local history? Who was so politically inept and incompetent that the results will live on as one of the worst political massacres in local history?

Why, that would be one Jon Russell.

Russell has a history of political mercenary-ism. By running this unneeded and unwanted tax increase campaign, Russell has shown that, in the words of Charles Barkley, "If the money was right, I'd play for the Klan."

We've already GOT a cowardman that has sold out for campaign donations with huge earmarks.

Why we want to elect another one?

Ann Donnelly felt compelled to press release Russell in a recent column wherein she writes as the Columbian's token Republican (though certainly not a conservative... she's delusional enough to support the I-5 Bridge Replacement/Loot Rail scam) and Russell felt compelled to cut and paste it on to his blog... as if all of those words actually meant something.

They didn't.

We'll chat again.

The local BIA blows the call: endorses Leavitt when they should have stayed out.

.
Tim Leavitt has proven he's a FINE casket salesman. He makes people think they NEED the bronze casket handles.

Illustrated by his scam of the hispanic endorsement and his bizarre, lying efforts to make people believe he doesn't want tolls on the massive waste of money and effort known as the I-5 Bridge replacement/loot rail project, (He wants the bridge... therefore, he wants tolls, since you cannot have one without the other) the local BIA screwed up big time by endorsing this scam artist.

When Leavitt loses (and he will lose) they will have an avowed enemy as mayor in the form of "No Choice" Royce. As I have shown, when it comes to the major issues impacting our community, there is no difference between Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber, save for the level of slickness in their respective packaging.

Now Pollard can, and should, hammer Leavitt for being in the pocket of special interests even more than he is.

Neither Pollard nor Leavitt are fit for elective office... and frankly, I would have thought that Bomar and the BIA would have known better.

Hispanics get played: Leavitt scams an endorsement.

.
I've had a couple of concerns over Tim Leavitt's use of the race card as a campaign tactic; as blatant and underhanded approach to electioneering as I've ever seen... in fact, I've seen nothing like it since David Barnett bought Steve Stuart for a cool $100G.

Of course, this is why Leavitt pulled this hate crime stunt, to suck the politically naive into believing they are anything but tools for his election... much like the far left was used, and then kicked to the curb as Obama scammed them into supporting him, and then proceeded to forget they existed.

Well, local hispanics, apparently lacking in any particular degree of political sophistication, have bit, and bit hard. Little do they know that Leavitt has manipulated them into this public embarrassment.

As a result, Leavitt has nailed down the illegal alien vote with a sledgehammer.

But then, I'm just a cynic. What do I know?

Not much, except this: this endorsement is an embarrassment, and it will do absolutely nothing to help Leavitt get elected.

And as his campaign roles on, that's certainly a good thing.

"My candidate.... my candidate.... my kingdom for a remotely decent candidate!"

Vancouver Councilman Tim Leavitt Attracts The Latino Vote

Latinos in Vancouver are moving to demonstrate that their vote is not one to be alienated. With the assistance of National Latina civil rights leader, Maria Rodriguez-Salazar of Vancouver, WA, they are determined to make their vote count.

After years of being ignored and the success of President Obama’s election, Latinos locally are sensing that they finally count in the political discourse of this country.

The demographics of Vancouver are changing. Latinos are the largest and fastest growing ethnic group in Vancouver and in our country. In this year’s political season every vote will count but most importantly who in the future will be leading Vancouver’s government and be inclusive when it comes to Latino Affairs. So what will it take to win the hearts and votes of Latinos in Vancouver? Ask Vancouver Latino Leaders.

Leavitt scams a campaign moment at city hall expense.

.
A few days ago, I nailed Tim Leavitt for his rank political opportunism as he attempts to capaitalize on a situation that has nothing to do with him personally: the indefensible scam of so-called hate crimes.

As I stated earlier:

On Leavitt's website, he tells us: Hate and Bias Crimes Must NOT Be Tolerated

But other crimes should be?

This leftist pap is just that. Further, Leavitt's "draft resolution" accomplishes ABSOLUTELY NOTHING except to provide this guy with an opportunity to politically grand stand.

"Hate" crimes are a sickening concept that somehow makes an assault based on skin color or gender or sexual proclivity or any of the many, many other segments we've been divided into, more worthy of greater punishment than just your average, run of the mill crime.

That is, if someone is shot because they are _____________ (fill in the blank) THAT crime is somehow more worthy of concern then someone getting shot, say, at random... or during a robbery.

And that, my friends, is pure, grade A, moronic bullshit. Fringe leftists love this kind of thing, but then, they are easily led tools anyway, or they wouldn't be fringe leftists.
There is no excuse for this kind of crap, and Leavitt ought to be at least as ashamed of himself over this as he is his rabid support for a replacement bridge that we don't need; loot rail that we neither need or want, and his continuing, ongoing failure to demand a vote for that entire project.

Taking it a step further, Leavitt used his position as a city council member for pure, unadulterated political scammery for an absolutely worthless resolution that accomplishes precisely nothing... so HE could take ctredit for it as if it accomplished something.

There's no place in government for this type of smoke and mirrors, and the attitude behind such a worthless, political move not only doesn't belong as mayor... he doesn't belong in government at all.

City of Vancouver Passes Resolution Against Hate and Bias Crimes

Last night marked a great step forward for the City of Vancouver-- the City Council reviewed and approved our resolution against hate and bias crimes, and supporting a community of inclusiveness, respect, and collaboration. Many thanks to all who helped make it possible, including LULAC, the NAACP, the YWCA, Clark County, and the Battle Ground Cultural Task Force--among many others!

Here is the text of the resolution that was passed.

A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Vancouver affirming its support of a diverse community and a community free from discrimination, hate and bias.

WHEREAS, the City of Vancouver has experienced significant population growth over the last fifteen years; and

WHEREAS, as the city’s population becomes more diverse, which adds richness and cultural depth, it can also create new tensions within such a growing community; and

WHEREAS, the City of Vancouver as a government organization values the perspective and contributions of all of its citizens; and

Yadda, yadda, yadda.

Surprise! While the REST of the business community suffers, the Columbian (among others) scam a tax cut for newspapers.

Last February, word leaked out that the newspapers around here were making an effort to scam special consideration from the legislature, because, well, they're newspapers.

I challenged that assertion; the people of this state should not be tasked with being forced to support an outmoded, obsolete business model when we're not being given any choice in the matter.

Since democrats control the government of this state, and since newspapers in this state endorse in elections like the democrat party was paying them, however, I should have known that the dumb asses in the legislature would sell us out to give their buddies a tax cut... while ignoring the rest of us in small business as our revenues plunge and we ALL suffer.

I guess it pays to know people... right?
"Blethen (Of the Seattle Times) said he understands that lawmakers may wonder why newspapers should get tax relief when other businesses are hurting.

"The answer is the unique role of newspapers," he said. "The unique role that they play in society and the unique role that they play in our self-government and the unique role they play in binding and creating community."

That's a crock, of course. In the age of the internet, no one cares except the unions that
print the papers and the leftists using them as democrat party organs.

Well, the d's delivered the pay offs in spades... so, assuming our own waste of wood pulp hasn't managed to go out of business by November, next year, we can expect yet another round of leg-humping for the left.

After all, the democrats bought them, fair and square.

Wash. gov OKs tax cut for newspapers

Tuesday, May 12 7:45 p.m.

Gov. Chris Gregoire has approved a tax break for the state's troubled newspaper industry.

The new law gives newspaper printers and publishers a 40 percent cut in the state's main business tax. The discounted rate mirrors breaks given in years past to the Boeing Co. and the timber industry.

Newspapers across the country have resorted to layoffs and other cost-cutting moves to deal with a wounded business model and a recession-fueled drop in advertising.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer printed its final edition earlier this year and was converted to an Internet-only publication with a much-reduced staff.

Baird blows it on a public vote on the massive and unneeded I-5 Bridge/Loot Rail scam.

.
Yesterday, our local version of Pravda got cute and decided to keep their above-the-fold headline story off the web, Baird questions bridge financing plans.

There really wasn't much of anything new in the article. As a completely owned subsidiary of the Downtown Vancouver Mafia, Inc, Baird has reveled in scamming the taxpayers for yet another downtown taxpayer ripoff, in addition to helping out Obama with his socialist income-redistribution program.

But he has been in the chorus of the "you ain't gettin' much, if any, federal dollars for this massive waste" for quite some time now.

The arrogance of those behind this massive waste cannot be overstated. And in today's political science lesson, I'm going to point out to you yet another example of when a congressman, or any other elected official, can hide behind tyranny in their guise of a "republic" when they don't want to hear what the people have to say.

I congratulate Mize for finally mentioning the almost $1300 per year that each of the 65,000 or so commuters will have to pay to cross into the Soviet Republic of Portland from the Taliban City of Vancouver.

That is the first time I've ever seen ANY number that gives us the bad news as to how much the pro-bridge types; who rarely, if ever, will have to pay this obscene amount of money to go to work; want to force us to pay to commute.

That's right, folks. In the midst of this horrific recession, jacking our unemployment through the roof, people like Commissioner Steve Stuart, Vancouver City Councilman Tim Leavitt, Vancouver Mayor Royce Pollard, LaCenter Mayor Jim Irish and a host of others want to ram this massive bill down our throats.

The problem is that our local Congressman, Brian Baird, wants to do the same, if this piece of crap is ever built.

Oh, he couches it in terms of concern. He says things like:
Baird said he understands tolls would be a huge cost for commuters and he isn't advocating higher tolls. Instead, there needs to be a public discussion based on accurate cost projections and corresponding benefits, such a s a reduction in commute times, he said.
This, of course, is an outright lie. You see, Congressman, I don't give a rat's ASS what you, allegedly, "understand."

What I want to know is what you're going to DO about it. Which, if this article is to be believed, is absolutely nothing.
"If you pay $2 and you can get to your kid's soccer game, a lot of times I would pay those $2," he said."
This may be the dumbest thing any congressman has ever said.

You have to be a complete moron to couch it in these terms. This isn't ABOUT "soccer games," you idiot. SOCCER MOMS ARE NOT THE ONES THAT WILL HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER $1300 PER YEAR TO GO TO WORK.

This is about 65,000 people going to work in Oregon every day, and paying ANOTHER $1300 PER YEAR FOR THE PRIVILEGE.

So, does our erstwhile Congressman believe that those of us who are going to get stuffed with this bill should have any say?

Nope. He utilizes the "Republic" scam as an excuse to keep us silent and out of the discussion.
Baird, a six-term congressman, said there needs to be public input on tolling and other issues, but stopped short of embracing a public vote on the contentious crossing project. Baird says he believes in the republic form of government as envisioned by James Madison and other founding fathers instead of a pure democracy.
The problem here is that first, Baird ain't no James Madison and second, using THAT bizarre reasoning, why should government ask us anything at all?

Using the Baird model, taxes should just be imposed. We shouldn't have any say.

Using the Baird model, there shouldn't be any school levies or bonds. We should just be forced to pay whatever government wants.

In fact, why have elections at all? Why go through the fake motions that we are anything approaching a democracy, and just give up any say at all to the totalitarian vision of Congressman Brian Baird?

Here's why, Mr. Baird.

Have you ever heard of Article One, Section One of the Constitution of the State of Washington?

Here. Let me help you with that:
SECTION 1 POLITICAL POWER. All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights.
Now, I get that Mr. Baird doesn't give a damn about the state constitution. After all, he's a FEDERAL representative, so minor details like the constitution of this STATE aren't going to impact him.

But this ISN'T a FEDERAL issue. This is a STATE issue. And in THIS state, OUR CONSTITUTION SAYS WE HAVE THE SAY.

With all due respect to James Madison, who, if I'm not mistaken, never came out and said:

"When the public of a given area are faced with the largest, by cost, public works project in the history of the Northwestern United States, they should remain silent and be kept silent by a government or group of governments who do not want the people to interfere with their agenda."
I also don't believe he ever came out and said:

"When a group of people will be tasked to pay over $80,000,000 per year on a project, government ought not ask them if they WANT the project government is forcing them to pay for. Government SHOULD, as a matter of "republic" sentiment, just ram the project down their throats, no matter how much it will damage families, individuals or the economies of local communities."
Of course, maybe I missed my poli sci classes when the subject came up, but I don't think so.

Mr. Baird, you cannot hide behind the flimsy facade of "republic" as a reason to keep the people silent on this issue.

You cannot invoke Madison to support your tyranny, and expect those who know better to remain silent.

If you do not come out and demand a vote for us, you can expect to see the wrath of 60,000 plus in the next election. I'm certainly not as educated as Mr. Baird. But I think 60,000 pissed off people, furious because no one in their government listens to THEM or cares about the impacts of this project on them might be JUST enough for you to lose.

Show some guts, Mr. Baird. Defend our right to have a voice. Don't hide, because there's no where you can go where this issue will not confront you. And when you get tied into Obama's abysmal performance, why, you just might need to file for unemployment come January 2011.
.
