Washington Secretary of State, Steve Hobbs, whines about efforts to require proof of citizenship to vote.

One of the DNC media outlets in Portland, KATU ran a Facebook post with the byline:

Voting fraud is incredibly rare, and there have been 15 cases of noncitizen voting in Washington between 1982 and 2025, according to Secretary Steve Hobbs.
Horseshit. Hobbs claimed "15 prosecutions on cases" that are known.

What about the unknown cases? How could he possibly know if illegals are voting or not?

It's not like they write on their ballots, "I'm an illegal."

See, here's the total weakness of the case put forward by fringe-left scum.

How is this clown going to tell the difference between a legal vote and an ILLEGAL vote, PARTICULARLY WHEN HE NEVER LOOKS? Particularly when he NEVER CHECKS?

Prosecuting rioting leftists in Portland for the last 6 years? "Incredibly rare."

Well, that must mean rioters never attacked anyone. Never burned anything. Never looted anything. Never assaulted police or the feds. Never damaged or destroyed anything. Never blocked traffic. Never violated noise ordinances. Never vandalized anything.

Right?

Prosecuting shoplifters in Portland?

Essentially unheard of.

Well, hell... that MUST mean shoplifting is "incredibly rare" and that it's not really any kind of issue.

Right?

I mean, if you apply his "reasoning" to illegal voters, i.e., few prosecutions equal "not a problem," then you must also apply it EVERYWHERE ELSE.

Must mean all of the stores that closed because of theft, and all of the items locked up in cases in stores and locks on merchandise in the remaining stores are unnecessary.

Right?

But leftist liars in the media never do that. No mention of that sort of "incredibly rare" occurrence.

I wonder why?

I get leftist media isn't concerned about illegal voters (well, as long as they vote PROPERLY) but because leftists do not WANT proof of citizenship TO vote, that effectively means anyone in either Washington or Oregon, for example, can do it.

And to suggest they aren't is insane.

Further, if it's so rare, then why do fringe-leftists fight so hard against proving citizenship? What other alternative do they offer? Or is it, obviously, that they WANT illegals to vote?

After all, if it's "incredibly rare," as you leftist politicians assert, how could requiring proof of citizenship make any difference in actual voters voting?

The harder fringers like Hobbs fight against efforts to prove citizenship, the more obvious it is that they WANT illegals to vote, just like Obama did back in 2016 when he famously said that even if illegals voted, they typically can't be caught... an open invitation.

In the end, the claim that "prosecutions are incredibly rare" is utterly meaningless and just another effort by fringe-left pols and their media lackies to blow smoke up our asses as they insist on demanding that we accept that 2+2=5 and math is racist. The main questions Hobbs needs to answer are simple: Does he WANT illegal aliens to vote in our elections? (of course he does)
And if he says "no," then what does he intend to do to make sure they don't, followed by, why hasn't he acted to implement that plan (which he does not have?)

Fed judges: Wash. felony inmates should get vote

A federal appeals court has ruled that imprisoned felons should be allowed to vote in Washington to ensure that racial minorities are protected under the Voting Rights Act.

Associated Press Writer

OLYMPIA, Wash. —

A federal appeals court has ruled that imprisoned felons should be allowed to vote in Washington to ensure that racial minorities are protected under the Voting Rights Act.

Tuesday's 2-1 ruling by a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the 2000 ruling of a district judge in Spokane. That judge had ruled that state law did not violate the act, and dismissed a lawsuit filed by a former prison inmate from Bellevue.

The two appellate judges ruled that disparities in the state's justice system "cannot be explained in race-neutral ways."

A spokeswoman says state Attorney General Rob McKenna is weighing the state's next step.

Sam "The Scumbag" Reed: let's work to hurt democracy.

.
Unfortunately, this state is cursed with arguably the worst Secretary of State in the United States today: Sam Reed.

Reed, an utter embarrassment as Secretary of State, has done nothing to increase the security of our elections.

He has done nothing to make sure that those who register to vote are citizens.

He has done nothing to make sure that the votes come in actually belong to the voter named.

What he HAS done is whine and snivel about how "hard" it is to keep convicted felons from voting, so instead of doing his damned job, he worked to increase the leftist vote by allowing felons to vote before they have completed their sentences.

There was a crock of crap about how that somehow aids in the rehabilitation process, as if someone knocking over a 7-11 gives a rat's ass about their voting rights, but in the end, it's all about making it easier on HIM.

Search this blog under "Reed" and a large number of posts detailing his incompetence will pop up.

This lowlife moron had EIGHT YEARS to get a system in place to keep track of felon voters, and did not one damned thing to make that happen.

Well, except to SEND over 20,000 felon voters VOTER REGISTRATION FORMS before the last election in 2008.

He damned sure did THAT.

And now this scumbag is down here shilling yet another of his whiny little "I'm working too hard" proposals: No votes counted after Election Day.

That this clown doesn't understand that people deserve the right to make sure their vote counts FAR more than they deserve some esoteric, not necessary right to know who won on election night (and where the hell does it say THAT in the Constitution?) is the thing.

As moronically clueless now as he has been throughout his despicable tenure, Reed seems to think that making it easier on Reed trumps making every conceivable effort to get every legal vote counted, even if that is days after the official election date, as long as it takes place before the elections are certified.

So, in Reed's twisted world, if the Post Office screws up and mishandles your vote, well, that's just too damned bad.

One has to wonder what this empty suit would think if it was HIS vote that got trashed because someone ELSE screwed up. Would that be OK with you, Mr. Secretary?

Reed babbled:
But Reed, a Republican, said that every time he introduces legislation to move up the state's deadline for ballot returns, he runs into a brick wall.

Each time, "It's virtually DOA," he said. "Incumbents seem to think (the current system) works fine.
Maybe, that's because it DOES work fine, you blithering idiot!

No one else listens to Reed, so his nonsense about "regional primaries" is just as dead as his politics.

Reed needs to start focusing on the issues that really matter: proving eligibility to vote, proving identity to vote, completing your sentence to vote... and stop worrying about finding ways to keep those whose votes SHOULD count from actually doing so. Because, frankly, you clueless moron, if the job's too damned tough, then resign and let somebody else handle it.

Meanwhile, stop sniveling, you wretch. It just reminds me why I will never support your election to anything, ever.

Hhhhmmm...... Two Faces of Tim "The Liar" Leavitt? Or is it just basic incompetence?

.
So: here we have one Tim "The Liar" Leavitt in the local rag:
Leavitt did not dispute the union's account of his voting record. "Making sure to vote is very important, and I regret the instances where I did not register my opinion on the ballot," he said in a statement.

But he added, "This isn't really about my voting record on the ballot. It's my opponent's desperation on the eve of an election where he looks to be losing his longtime control over our city. How does this sleazy maneuver help our struggling communities today?"

And in the Oregonian across the river? Well, not exactly the same position.

Leavitt at first challenged the accuracy of the report, saying that his campaign supporters had done their own research showing "in the past 10 years I've only missed three voting opportunities."

If, as Tim "The Liar" tells us, this little issue has "...discounted... significance," then why so many versions? Why lie about it?

The stupidity of statement's like this:

He also disputed the union's contention that he didn't vote on three Vancouver School District maintenance and operations levies. Records show that Leavitt didn't live in the district boundaries at the time. Instead, he lived in the Evergreen district -- where he missed two of that district's money measure votes.

Can't be overstated.

It would appear that Leavitt can't even lie properly.... and up to this point, he's been so very good at lying.

The problem here is this:

Leavitt's screwed on this issue. As a result, instead of standing up and taking his medicine like a man... instead of holding himself accountable for his multiple failures in civic duty and acknowledging that those failures make him unfit for ANY elective office; instead of withdrawing from this election and resigning his city council seat, instead of doing the HONORABLE thing...

.... he whines.... and snivels.... and blames others for HIS failures. He's a complete clone of Steve "Easy Money if it's from Barnett" Stuart.

Is that the kind of leadership Vancouver needs... a weasel who deflects, who blames others... who is incapable of manning up and holding himself accountable for being a selfish jerk who thought so little of his civic duties when uncounted thousands of others had made the supreme sacrifice to insure that he could exercise that duty?

I was talking to a friend of mine about this very thing last night. We were downing a couple of aircraft carrier sized-burritos at Peppers, and he looked around and told me, "You know, there are some illegal aliens with better voting trecords that Leavitt."

Yes, the two faces of Tim "The Liar" Leavitt. But even combined, they amount to a squalling little piggy, unfit for the trough, let alone the most critical leadership position in Southwest Washington.
