Democratian begins democrat-slate endorsements.

As previously posted here, the Democratian will likely follow a close version of their antics in 2008: endorsing democrats and democrats only for elected office in open seats. At a minimum, expect the vast majority of democrats running for open seats, and all democrat incumbents to get the nod from the Democratian. This is the first step in that.

Well, the local cancer on our society has met that low level of expectations with their first endorsement in the Assessor race.

County assessor

Neither of The Columbian’s recommendations for Clark County assessor advanced from the Aug. 17 primary. Among the two who did, Democrat Janet Seekins has worked in the office for almost 30 years and amassed the highest vote total in the primary. She outpaced the other finalist, Republican Peter Van Nortwick, by more than 18 percentage points. Seekins’ endorsement list is impressive. Her lack of management experience has been offset by an effective performance in her first political campaign.

Van Nortwick is a local appraiser who has waged a bitter, bomb-throwing campaign. Interestingly, the Clark County Association of Realtors, of which Van Nortwick is a member, has endorsed Seekins. A leader of that group said, “It was such an easy decision.”

Of course, the rag's hatred of Benton no doubt played a role in this obvious ploy, since even had one of the other two completely unqualified Republicans made it thru, there is no doubt they would have blown him off to endorse the democrat anyway.

As I've previously stated, "experience" is the kind of thing the leftists at the Democratian whip out whenever it suits them.

Also of note is the fact that they don't say that Van Nortwick wasn't qualified... just that they didn't like his campaign.

As for Seekins' "endorsements," they consist of the usual list of democrats, the cut and paste list you would have expected. No more or less impressive then Van Nortwick's own list.

That the Realtors endorsed Seekins at this level is as meaningless as the state Realtors endorsing Murray, even though Rossi is one of them as well.

In short, it's worthless.

But we can expect more of this crap from the Democratian. This is what they do. They trash people who don't share their worldview. They ignore facts, and try and harm those wise enough to disagree with them.

And this endorsement is just the latest in the series. And Van Nortwick is the one who should get the job... since Seekins' lack of qualifications for the job haven't magically fixed themselves since the Democratian ignored them in August.

It takes a real scum bag to confuse mental illness with the voluntary decision not to vote during the entirety of your life.

In doing yet another in the series of hit pieces against Peter Van Nortwick, the Democratian again takes great pains to remind us with their usual despicable political bigotry, that Van Nortwick has battled his way through mental illness issues.

There’s the what’s-more-disconcerting angle: Seekins didn’t register to vote until April, so the first time she voted was the August primary.

If that’s her skeleton in the closet, Van Nortwick’s skeleton, as disclosed in court documents seven years ago, is that he couldn’t pay child support because he has a significant mental disability that makes it difficult for him to build relationships with people and find employment.

Rice and the Democratian stupidly equate that episode with a voluntary decision made by Seekins to blow off her civic duty for the entirety of her life as if they were the same thing... as if Van Nortwick voluntarily went through the struggle that lasted 6 years earlier this decade.

It isn't.

As I pointed out before, Seekins nor anyone else who had never voted in their life is unfit for any elective office. Period.

But Seekins is a democrat. And this despicable tampon of a newspaper has endorsed democrats and democrats only for any elective office save the institutional vote for the Sheriff at the county level... so Seekins gets a pass.... much like Golik gets a pass for his alleged misconduct.

The rag's decision to REPEATEDLY remind us that Van Nortwick had a difficult time for a few years over an entirely INvoluntary condition is a deliberate, bigoted act for which, if this nazi-like propaganda swindle sheet HAD any shame, they should put it on display now and apologize to the entire community generally and Peter Van Nortwick and his children specifically.

This is the kind of stigma that even Hollywood has united against... or hasn't Rice bothered to pay attention to any of the PSA's concerning mental illness?

Stephanie Rice is a bigoted moron. She should resign immediately. And she should never be allowed near a keyboard in a newspaper again... not should her editor... nor should Brancaccio for allowing this lynching.

Will wonders never cease? Democratian-endorsed Seekins never bothered to vote. Ever.

As I pointed out earlier today, democrat Assessor candidate Janet Seekins has blown off her duty to vote... for her entire life.

Seekins, 53, has never had the urge to vote. Now, she lies about it by telling us she "...registered to vote in April because she knew she would want to vote for assessor in this fall’s election..." when the rest of the world knew that Franklin would not be running for re-election because she was simply too sick.

The rank hypocrisy of someone wanting to be elected to something... who has never even voted, apparently up until last August in her own primary... cannot be overstated. Of course, the rag's duty is to withdraw their endorsement, given the criteria about great campaigns making up for no experience and bad campaigns being a reason to oppose someone's election.

Failing to ever vote is as rank a disqualifier as I can possibly imagine. Seekins should announce her withdrawal from the ballot. She won't of course. But she should. Now, the fish wrapper knows what they should do.

The only question is this:

Will they? Or will their blind hatred for any Benton-endorsed candidate for anything keep them from doing the right thing?

I don't believe either one should be in the Senate. I believe that Rossi has run a terrible campaign; that he started way too late and will ultimately lose and I have no intention of rewarding arrogance with my vote.

I believe that Murray is as dumb as a plank, has wrongly scammed veterans into think she gives a damn about us, has helped the empty-suited, anti-American racist bigot in the White House spend us into oblivion.

Herrera

My cocker spaniel has spent more time in this district over the past 13 years (and he's a puppy) and with Herrera having everything handed to her on a silver platter, from the conspiracy that gave her the appointment to the state house where she did absolutely nothing besides co-sponsor and support SEIU legislation while selling us out to the left by emptying the last of our state emergency fund to help them spend our money to the despicable campaign ran by those who own Herrera, she has proven herself to be the worst we have to offer, and not the best. I will not reward an empty-suited puppet with my vote.

I will likely write in either my dog's name or Chris Boyd... though I'm leaning to the symbolism of my dog over the obvious substance and integrity of Boyd.

Probst and Stonier (If I were in the 17th)

Probst, while claiming to be a fiscal conservative, is unfortunately for him, a vote for the fringe-leftist whack jobs that run the House who helped jack our taxes up some $800 million during the last session... and that matters a great deal more than his individual positions.

Stonier was an Obama delegate at the National Fringe Nutter Convention. She supports the income tax and every other leftist item on the agenda if she supported a whack job like Obama. As a result, she's unfit for elective office and she would also join with Probst in returning the fringe left, screw the people tax and spenders to House leadership if she were elected.

Moeller and Jacks (If I were in the 49th)

Moeller is as far left as we can possibly imagine. HE IS PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CANDY TAX... a fact that local rag wants to keep from you. There is no tax or fee increase he does not support, and would do all he could to expand funding his various leftist causes. Both he and Jacks also support the unnecessary, unneeded and hugely expensive loot rail project. Both support the state income tax. Both oppose privatization. Both are wrong on all of the initiatives.

Jacks does not APPEAR to be as far to the fringe... but the one measure that matters is his voting record: and it mirrors that of Moeller, where in hundreds of votes, he seems to have only disagreed with Moeller on 4 votes. Four. That makes Jacks as much a fringer as Moeller.

Electing either also amounts to yet another vote for the fringe leftist, Seattle-centric leadership that has spent us into another multi-billion dollar deficit. Neither should be elected.

Kampe

Kampe supports the bridge and tolling. He supports all of Moeller's positions. He is a mirror on the initiatives of the democrats in the 49th.

He dresses himself up as some sort of fiscal conservative, but no fiscal conservative could support a multi-billion dollar increase in revenue to the state like Kampe does. He should not be elected.

Stuart

Stuart is the most obviously corrupt politician locally. He supports the I-5 loot rail project, has no problem stuffing tolls he won't have to pay down our throats on BOTH bridges; he opposes a county-wide advisory vote (as does fake Republican Marc Boldt) has the wrong positions (leftist) on the initiatives and is only in office because David Barnett bought him outright when he ran against Tom Mielke 5 years ago.

He's unfit for any elective office.

Seekins

Seekins, a leftist democrat, only ran because Linda is too sick. Until now, she's never bothered to vote in her entire life... and she's now 53. Is the rag going to do or say or write about this?

Seekins disrespects the process even more than Tim "The Liar" Leavitt, who also frequently blew off voting. Neither are fit for elective office, but Seekins in particular should withdraw from the ballot for that stupidity alone.

Hopefully, the leftists mentioned by the paper today will make sure to include a large, in-kind contribution on their PDC's as a result of the irresponsible crap and half-truths spewed out this morning by the local cancer on our society.

I've been in this business a long time, but rarely have I seen such utter, total and complete garbage from anything remotely calling itself a "newspaper."

In fact, the most recent version was interpreted editions of the Völkischer Beobachter, the Nazi party rag I studied as part of my PoliSci curriculum.

The rag deliberately overlooked critical elements of the campaigns they oppose. For example, Steve "Easy Money" Stuart certainly "understands the complexities of the job," since he's been on it for the last 5 corrupt years. But they haven't mentioned his connection to Megacasino shill and developer David Barnett, the $100,000 in dirty money that won him the job in the first place; his involvement in Tim "The Liar" Leavitt's flip campaign; his desire to shackle us all with a $100,000,000 a year in debt that will blow a hole in our local economy and hurt thousands of families.

No, all they mention is that he's "heavily endorsed," because, well, they want him to win, honesty be damned. So, they're certainly not going to concern themselves, or the voters, with the facts that everyone marking a ballot should know before they vote.

Unfortunately, the organization who could have acted by going around this stain on the science of journalism lacked the competence or vision to cull Easy Money out of the herd and make an example out of him.

Hopefully, this group will be back, older and wiser, and go to work to take out Alleged Republican Commissioner Marc Boldt, who has both endorsed and protected Easy Money while acting as his Wing Man to keep him safe from the right.

Boldt, who used to be a conservative Republican, a title long since gone, is as guilty as Stuart on the Bridge/loot rail project, because although he has been positioned to kill this project for years, he's sat idly by and done nothing while tens of millions of dollars have vaporized with literally billions left to go.

I guess it's become a political issue now, eh, Marc? Expect to see it a lot over the next two years.

Nevertheless, the Columbian's reminder that Stuart is oh-so-important pails in comparison over their failure to point out that when "someone understands the complexities of the job," their guilt in screwing the hundreds of thousands of people of Clark County is even more despicable.

It's one thing to screw up because you don't know. It's quite another to screw the people because you DO know, and you're using the system and manipulating people by lies of omission and keeping things "quiet" that might be a problem for Stuart... like his taking credit for a light rail vote that he HAD NO CHOICE OVER.

You know... like that?

No mention of union thug Hollywood Tony Golik's likely prosecutorial misconduct. After all, even though the rag frequently prints unfounded allegations against those they want to harm (Right, Lou?) when it comes to allegations that may negatively impact a campaign for someone they support.... forget about it.

No mention of Seekins' failure to vote for the entirety of her 53 year life... Just Seekins' platform that her opponent "doesn't understand mass appraisal techniques..." and, of course, no mention that Van Nortwick is a certified appraiser, which could go to show that Seekins "doesn't understand appraisals..." but no mention of that.

No mention of Parker's deliberate violation of campaign laws... why, no mention of that campaign at all. Nothing good can be said for Parker, given that she's a union hack like Golik, so why even mention the County Clerk's race?

And in the end, the 4 directly responsible for putting this tripe together... Kathie Durbin, Andrea Damewood, Laura McVicker and Stephanie Rice?

Would no longer be working for me if I ran the paper.

Selective fact presentation is inexcusable. Casting those your rag has endorsed in the best light by deliberately leaving out important facts and issues while amplifying the campaigns of those you support at the expense of those you oppose is despicable.

But then, we are talking about the Democratian here, and not a real newspaper.

Columbian endorses Van Nortwick. Gotta wonder: has Lefty Lou ever apologized for his hate jihad?

So, the democratian has endorsed Peter Van Nortwick.  Of the two, he probably deserves it.

But that's neither here nor there for this post: Back in the day, this same rag endorsed his opponent, one Janet Seekins.

Seekins had but a single claim to fame:  Though in her 50's, she had never voted in the entirety of her adult life.

And, of course, she was also a democrat: typically, the democratian endorses... well.. democrats for open seats, and the Assessor's seat was just that, open.

And, for whatever the reason, it was almost Like Peter was the template for Lefty Lou pummeling David Madore: he personally and repeatedly attacked Peter, throughout the process.

Now, the rag endorses him.  Gotta wonder: Was Peter on that list of people I'd heard about that Scott Campbell forced Lefty Lou to apologize to?

And will David Madore ever make that list?

If not... why not?

A snapshot of delusion: The Clark County Democrats.

I always enjoy reading the democrat's newsletter... because, well, unlike the GOP with it's focus on infighting and backstabbing, at least they HAVE a newsletter... and a downloadable one at that. You know, like the GOP SHOULD have... but doesn't?

Any who, their newsletter this month is a microcosm of the reasons why democrats nationally are getting their collective butts kicked.

Self delusion is a terrible burden. Democrat Dena Horton, who dumped fellow democrat Royce Pollard to work her hiny off for new democrat Tim "The Liar" Leavitt in the mayor's race where he lied his ass off to win the job, puts her imprimatur on an article of delusion so beyond the
pale... well, it's almost as if Horton doesn't understand that the left is despised across the country and this election will be a democrat bloodbath, with political bodies strewn around at every level.

Let’s win this thing in November

The results of the August 17 primary election should give heart to the grass-roots workers who constitute the Democratic Party of Clark County (and most of the readership of this newsletter.)

You see... this is where the self-delusion aspect starts.

Seriously.

"Give heart?" Politically speaking, democrat mass suicide would be a more accurate assessment. And a failure to acknowledge the political reality confronting the left is part and parcel as to why they are in such serious political trouble. That they refuse to admit it?

Why... that's par for the course.

Top to bottom — U.S. Sen. Patty Murray down to the Democratic precinct committee officer who snared 20 votes in a sparse precinct along Fifth Plain Creek — there is great hope for a rousing refutation of the pundits who have been predicting a surge of regression to the politics of fear and continued diminution of the middle class.

Waking up to discover that the fringe left version of hope and change includes bankrupting those of us who can still pay taxes to scumbag government employees can get pay raises and the legislature jacks up our taxes by hundreds of millions of dollars while STILL spending us into a multi-billion dollar deficit is not the trite phrase Heywood uses here: the "politics of fear."

It is the reality.

And it is the reality that Horton and her cohorts have accomplished with absolute power at every level of government, from the top on down.... with Murray being the worst individual offender followed by Gregoire.

The requisite spirit was demonstrated when Murray stopped by Vancouver August 20 on her round of kickoffs and got a rousing reception from a noontime crowd of more than 300 at Hamilton Hall in Vancouver Barracks. Murray deftly accentuated the progressive values she has followed in her three terms while eviscerating the big-biz mantras of the banking and real estate mogul who challenges with his promises to dismantle everything accomplished over the past two years.

More accurately described as a "wake," preaching to the tone-deaf choir accomplishes nothing.

"Accomplished?" Seriously?

Making us the laughing stock of the world? Burying us in a mountain of debt that our kids kids won't see the end of is an accomplishment? Telling the American people to f&^* off while they rammed a horrific health care plan down our throats that we don't want, worked diligently to provide amnesty to illegal aliens, bailed out unions left and right on our dime, and caused this
Nation to teeter on the brink of fiscal catastrophe.

And Murray was a huge part of that.

Denny Heck came out of the primary in strong position to hold the 3rd Congressional District seat being given up by Rep. Brian Baird.

A criminally stupid observation.

It's a democrat turn out issue... and their turn out sucked.

Heck should fire his entire campaign organization and start over, given how miserable his numbers were generally and the democrat's numbers specifically.

While it's a shame that Ridgefield Barbie came out of the pack to make it into the top two, the fact is that it happened because the GOP put together around 57% of the vote... in a democrat held district. Heck is down 9% in the most recent poll and we're told he's in a "strong position?"

No. He isn't. And to suggest he is?

Self-delusional incompetence.

To be sure, some of the numbers are scary. If the general election tallies replicate the primary, Democrats could lose a couple of legislative seats as well as positions in county government.

The understatement.

When the numbers hold up, every legislator outside the Soviet Socialist Republic of Vancouver in Clark County will have an "R" after their names.

Every elected official in Clark County government save the treasurer will have an "R" after his name.

The rep for Congress will have an R after her name, even if that R is an empty-suited moron who doesn't know if she's been punched or bored.

At the federal level, the more that empty suited, Anti-American racist bigot screws up, the less likely the State Cow will be to win again.

That can only happen if Democrats don’t get out and work but instead allow the election to be bought by the likes of a high-tech plutocrat who hopes to ride a no-toll hobby horse to control of local political decisions.

That's no way to talk about David Nirenberg.

Rep. Tim Probst, seeking a second two-year term in Legislative District 17, explained the situation in a post-primary email to supporters:

“After all that’s happened to the political mood over the last two years, my primary election numbers are exactly the same. In the 2008 primary I received 48.17 percent of the vote. In the 2010 primary I received 48.18 percent of the vote.

“And that is with a heavily contested Republican Congressional primary affecting the turnout numbers, as well. The voters know me well, and the national mood has not dented my numbers.

“The 17th District consistently shows higher Republican numbers in primaries, because fewer Independents and Democrats turn out. With many more Independents and Democrats voting in the general election, I expect an outstanding result this November. In 2008, for example, my general election result was 55.76 percent …”

Proving once again that figures don't lie... but liars figure.

Probst left out the part where he was running against an idiot frequently crucified by the paper in 08.

He left out the part where he out spent his GOP opponent about 3 to 1 before the primary.

And he left out the fact that he's an incumbent.

His email and this article defy reality and serve as the beacon to light the way to the leftist disaster coming in 40 odd short days.

His would-be seatmate, Monica Stonier, takes heart from that gap closure. Her Republican opponent took about 56 percent in the primary. She got 33 percent, with Martin Hash getting better than 11 percent for his eccentric effort. Stonier knows she will have to continue working even harder than she worked before the primary. Stonier, an avowed fringe leftist Obama delegate is toast.

The people don't want communists elected except in the communist 49th.

In the 18th Legislative District, with six varied conservatives bidding to replace the one who ran for Congress, Democrat Dennis Kampe snagged first place in the top-two primary with 32 percent of the vote. That’s six points better than the Republican he’ll face in November.

Kampe, the only democrat, received less then 1/3rd of the vote. The GOP put together almost 2/3rds.

Most normal people aren't interested in supporting someone who wants to bury his district in billions of debt for loot rail and a bridge we neither want nor need. As the income tax is crushed here locally, supporters, like Kampe, will be crushed with it.

He has no chance, and in more realistic moments, likely would admit it.

County Commissioner Steve Stuart, County Clerk Sherry Parker and County Treasurer Doug Lasher all faced challengers backed by the no-tolls mogul. If the usual pattern of November voting holds, they should all prevail.

Yeah. And if frogs had wings, they wouldn't bump their butts every time they jumped.

Stuart is a corrupt, bought by the casino, pro-bridge toll democrat; in the wrong party at the wrong time. His buddies are out of money this time, and there's no tribal Knight to come along and launder $100,000 through progressive majority this go-round like he did last time.

Of course, that kind of corruption is perfectly OK with leftists.... right?

Parker, the incumbent, got spanked by her GOP opponent; her insistence on using illegal campaign signs typical of the arrogance of the left and the contempt for the laws of this state.

Democrat Tony Golik, bidding to succeed Prosecutor Art Curtis, got just short of a majority in a three-way race where the former chair of Clark County Republicans placed second with 44 percent.

Golik is a union thug supported by the bail bonds people who's managed to forget that his primary job was SUPPOSED to be to lock people up. Wrong party and his union affiliation equals a dandy reason to vote against this fringe leftist... unable to get a majority in the primary, he's likely to lose.

Janet Seekins nailed the top spot over three Republicans with 43 percent of the
vote to succeed County Assessor Linda Franklin.

The combined GOP vote was 57%. Seekins, who wasn't even endorsed by the fishwrapper for the top two (But who no doubt will be this time around for the general) is toast.

So's Shotwell for Sherrif.

In this most recent primary, democrat turnout was the lowest since at least 1930 while GOP turn out was the highest in the history of elections.

The fact is this: a massacre of epic proportions is shaping up for the left, and Clark County is no exception. And that the democrats refuse to acknowledge that?

Well, it's just like the rest of the realities they ignore. And now, they're going to suffer for it accordingly.

Brancaccio's new hobby: beating the hell out of those who oppose him.

Brent Boger's biggest problem is the same as mine: We both are Republicans.

Lou Brancaccio, responsible for the more Nazi tendencies of the local Democratian, made sure that Boger, who had committed the Cardinal sin of running the local GOP, was stomped into the ground. He did that by selective censorship, by utilizing the institutional double standard that is his paper's hallmark of attacking those wise enough to oppose his Hitlerian vision for the people of SW Washington. And he's doing it now that Brent has lost to Hollywood Union Golik.

Boger lost. He lost in part because Brancaccio buried allegations of prosecutorial misconduct that were as relevant to this election as Hollywood Union Thug Golik's grandstanding on the Storo case, a case where this rag engaged in literally hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of in-kind contributions for free political advertising.

The rag became the local dem party newsletter, ignoring the issues that made their candidates look bad, engaging in rank bigotry in the case of Van Nortwick, who thankfully is winning in spite of the birdcage liner's best efforts to trash him on every level; failing to find any real noticeable issues that made the leftists running unsuitable for election... failing, even, to withdraw their endorsement of Seekins, who they had ignored and then resurrected when Benton ally Van Nortwick was the top vote getter instead of either of the 2 stiffs the rage endorsed.

A commenter on Brancaccio's self-flagellation summed it up:

In the very article where you state that experience matters for everything in the prosecutor's race you state it means nothing in the race for Congress.

It is this kind of rank hypocrisy that Brancaccio is incapable of seeing or, apparently, understanding.

On one hand, when it suits him, experience is the cloak used to beat the hell out of someone. Brancaccio hides behind "experience" as the reason he needed knee pads in the general vicinity of Golik.

On the other, when they "like" you, like when they like Ridgefield Barbie, experience is utterly meaningless to this moron.

So, Boger had the good sense to cancel his subscription to this despicable cancer on our society. Brancaccio, typically, seems incapable of understanding why anyone would ever do that.

I have repeatedly stated that when scum like Brancaccio use their column to beat the hell out of those wise enough to oppose them, why on earth would those so abused stay around... or pay that slimeball to be abused by him?

Brancaccio seems incapable of getting that... much like the guy who beats the hell out of his wife, he's incapable of understanding that he's doing anything wrong... like a bully who knows his target doesn't have the wherewithal to fight back on an even playing field.

I don't buy the rag. I won't give them a penny, ever. But Brancaccio's obvious failure to understand that those he bullies not only have the right to get rid of his rag, but the duty, is the crux of the matter.

There are a wide variety of publications I won't buy, because I think they're despicable. I won't buy anything to do with a racial perspective... like, say, a white power rag... or something that evokes Nazi sympathies.

Nor would I ever buy the Columbian, since with Brancaccio at the helm, that same rank hypocrisy is the order of the day, so it's easy to confuse the two. The techniques are the same; the mentality the same, the hypocrisy and double standard the same... so why would I, or Boger, buy this waste of wood pulp when we, and many other conservatives and agenda opponents know that this despicable rag will NEVER have ANYTHING positive to say about any of us?

Why would any of us pay someone to beat the hell out of us?

That, of course, helps to explain why this used journalistic condom is becoming increasingly hard to find in the home of any conservative. And with Brancaccio throwing his childish temper tantrums, it will become even harder to find.

Brancaccio: bloodied AND bowed.

A few days ago, Bully Brancaccio was gearing up to do the same thing to Brent Boger that he did to me: attempt to assassinate his character and attempt to injure him personally.

Up until now, Brancaccio has been able to get away with his playground bullshit. But because that punk came after me, people had a foretaste of what was ahead for Boger, and they wanted none of it.

When I saw where Brancaccio had backed down, I had a cartoon vision of his body with a gong for a head, vibrating while Craig, Pat and Betty Sue took turns banging it.

Others, no doubt behind the scenes, took Brancaccio to task for beating on Boger. They rightfully pointed out that the Boger's and, God Help Us, even the slimeballs like Golik are the reason our democracy exists.

For the first time since he fell off the back of the turnip truck to our great misfortune, it appears that Brancaccio finally... FINALLY, has been held accountable for both what he has said... and for what he was going to say.

Editors of papers have a duty of even-handedness. They have a duty to be responsive to the community. They have neither the duty nor the ability to force the community to accept their vision and their agenda as superior to that of the people.

So, what happened? Bully Brancaccio was forced to retract. He was forced to apologize. He was forced to acknowledge that he was wrong; a state he frequently finds himself in, but one he has admitted to about as often as the passage of Haley's Comet.

This exercise in humility SHOULD start as the foundation of some serious introspection on The Bully's part.

I emphasize SHOULD.

Will it?

With a years-long history of arrogance and efforts to inflict pain on those wise enough to disagree with him, I doubt it.

Because the arrogance that led him to stupidly threaten Boger for being wise enough to cancel his subscription to the cancer on our local society is present in everything he writes. The arrogance exhibited towards Peter Van Nortwick in particular... the idea that Seekins had NEVER VOTED IN HER 53 YEAR LIFE, which should have been the closest thing to disqualifying someone from holding office as I can think of... making no difference to Brancaccio while they never missed an opportunity to engage in their rank bigotry in hammering VanNortwick because of mental illness issues?

That was way over the line. And until now, there was no evidence that any line existed for Bully Brancaccio.

Every puff piece on the unneeded, unwanted, unaffordable bridge/toll/loot rail project he's so eager to shackle us to, every time he writes about civility while his pet monkey tears into the paper's opponents generally and Republicans specifically, every article where he shreds anyone to the right of Lenin, every article giving leftists a pass while focusing on the people on the right attempting to vilify them and cast aspersions and heap scorn on them by Rule 5'ing them... like a good little leftist.

The massive, ongoing hit pieces against David Madore serve as an example of that kind of arrogance and bullying. Beating the hell out of a Madore on the right while not even mentioning a Nierenberg on the left who is roughly the same thing, but who supports those people and issues Brancaccio supports... it's that approach where Brancaccio's nonsensical observation:

If a newspaper is doing its job right, we will hold both Republicans and Democrats accountable for what they do and say.

...falls apart.

(The purpose of beating up Madore was the same purpose Brancaccio had for beating me up: to poison the well, to stop people in politics from associating with us, to vilify us to give Bully the excuse to beat the hell out of those who do associate with Madore... or me, for that matter. It was basically formulaic; it was deliberate; it was political; and it was done to harm the impacts of major, outspoken opponents to Brancaccio's agenda.)

For example, they've never held Steve "Easy Money" Stuart accountable for being bought outright by David Barnett, or arranging to have his buddy Craig Pridemore amend a bill so he could keep $60,000 in campaign contributions.

They certainly didn't hold Jeanne "Gavel Down" Harris accountable for her recent city council debacle.

And Tim "The Liar" Leavitt? Yeah, they reported his flip, but they made no effort to hold The Liar accountable for running a false and misleading campaign... because the position he flipped TO was he position they WANTED.

Clearly, like sex to Clinton, accountability has a situational meaning to a leftist like Brancaccio.

If these positions and parties were reversed, not a day would go by where the rag wouldn't express their righteous indignation and demand resignations all around... much like Koenninger demanded Marc Boldt's resignation back when he was in the House.

Of these three corrupt slimeballs, which has Brancaccio demanded resignations from?

Need you ask?

Only time will tell. Has Brancaccio finally met face-to-face with his arrogance? Has a lesson in humility finally been delivered?

So today, The paper did it's endorsements in the Assessor's race. Again, experience, the card they play when it suits them, was left off the table.

The paper, to it's credit(?) did only endorse two Republicans in that race, for reasons that may or may not have merit. That, however, is grist for another mill.

Of note was this parting shot:

Other candidates include Janet Seekins, a Democrat with almost 30 years in the county assessor’s office but who has no management experience, and Republican Peter Van Nortwick, a certified appraiser who has been running a negative, attack-dog campaign. Among Van Nortwick’s strongest supporters is state Sen. Don Benton, who ran for county assessor against Franklin in 2002 and lost.

Could anyone explain the relevance of Benton's support vis the fact that he lost for this job in 2002?

Of course not. Gratuitous face shots seem to be a hallmark of the Columbian. One has to ask them: "Why?"

Benton supports Van Nortwick. Therefore, Van Nortwick's experience and qualifications have no role or impact in the deliberations as to who is the best candidate.

As I understand it, Van Nortwick is the only candidate running who has attained "Certified General Appraiser" status. The paper fails to mention this.

Why?

Even I, occasionally, give credit to political opponents for their achievements (Not often, but it DOES happen) so how is it that, once again, actual qualifications have no impact in the paper's endorsements?

Support by Benton seems to be the kiss of death to candidates if this paper's constantly shifting playing field for endorsements is any gauge.

Benton has also supported Lucas, Kimsey, Zarelli, Orcutt, Rivers, Peck, Harris and a host of others. Will this paper beat them up as well?

So, why would you want to be a city councilwoman when you rarely vote... like once in 10 years?

I've got documentation which indicates that candidate for Washougal city council, Nicole "Niki" Anderson has only voted once... in the last decade!

Yes, the last time Anderson voted seems to be November of 2004.  In fact, it seems to be the ONLY time she's voted in the last decade.

Now, we've had other examples of those running for office who failed to take this responsibility seriously:

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt comes to mind.  The bizarre aspect here is that Leavitt blew off voting WHILE HE WAS ELECTED TO THE VANCOUVER CITY COUNCIL.

Then, who can forget the legendary County Assessor candidate, Janet Seekins, who hadn't voted in the entirety of her LIFE.  (The rag endorsed her anyway... because, well, she was running as a democrat.)

In this instance, and in the interests of consistency and non-hypocrisy, I can't view Niki Anderson as someone I would want elected to anything either.

After all, the last time anyone was elected around here with a horrific record of voting in the general or in primaries it was The Liar Leavitt.  And he's turned out to be an unmitigated disaster of Obama-esque proportions.

The Democratian's institutionalized double standard.

As we continue to wait for the actual science of journalism to rear its ugly head in the confines of the Democratian, we note their institutional double standard: once these clowns endorse you, credible allegations of axe murder could take place and they'd bury them.

Currently, we have David Hedrick under scrutiny for hitting his wife and Anthony Bittner for being part of a crime wave.

Nothing's been proven in court, but the rag has done repeated stories on Bittner and had no difficulty splashing the story concerning Hedrick.

But now, we have three democrats running for office who have been endorsed by the Democratian who have had credible allegations of breaking the law, prosecutorial misconduct or stupidly failing to vote for the entirety of their life.... and does the rag withdraw their endorsement of these clowns?

Nope. Because they're democrats and the rag is a left-wing propaganda swindle sheet.

Of course, that makes their endorsements worth even less, but they obviously don't care down in Pravda Central.

First, we have the long list of credible allegations against Tony Golik, leftist union thug running for prosecutor, wherein it seems he views the law and court proceedures as a series of suggestions to be ignored whenever he feels like it. He's already proven with his politically motivated, moronic involvement in the Storro case that he will step on any number of bodies to get elected.

The allegations, detailed below, are serious and call into question Golik's continued practice of the law.

The rag knows this, of course, but because they "like" Golik, they're not going to do anything to tell the people voting about Golik's abuse and manipulation of the system he's alleged to protect... and certainly, they're not going to let you know that Golik's handling of a case resulted in a woman's rape and kidnapping.

Sherry Parker has literally been violating campaign laws for years. Her campaign signs are illegal in that they resemble DOT road signs, a fact that has been repeatedly brought to her attention over that time and a fact that she continues to ignore. (Note below, a fellow thug setting up one of the many illegal Parker signs... see the IBEW 48 decal?)

The rag also knows this. The result?

Because they "like" Parker, they endorse another fellow leftist thug and remain essentially silent about her disrespect for the law.

Janet Seekins is a piece of work. She's never voted in her LIFE, and what does the rag do about it?

Bury it. You see, it's because they "like" her and they hate her opponent.

And I can tell you from experience: people in the Democratian can get stupid when they hate you.

Had any of these three stooges been Republican; had any of these three not been endorsed; had any of these three not been "liked," they would have been treated like Hedrick, or Bittner, or Ted Stevens or any number of others they don't politically support.

We're cursed with a clueless moronic rag of a daily newspaper in SW Washington.  Literally, a cancer on our society where they perceive their agenda and perceptions as superior to every one else's, and they attack with an effort to destroy those wise enough to disagree with their version of utopia.

As exhibit A, I offer up the rank stupidity of today's editorial where the monkey they let loose on a keyboard asks the moronic question:

What happened this year with fair attendance and primary voting?

First: fair attendance.

Folks, what we've seen here is just a glimpse of what we're GOING to see if they ever implement a toll on their masturbatory fantasy of the CRC.

Except, of course, this will be a result felt by ALL of small business in Clark County that relies on disposable income and for the same reasons: people simply cannot afford it any more, so the Fair makes the top of the "cut" list.

That $1300 per year or so that these morons want to vaporize every year?

Where do these idiots think that money is going to come from?

In answer to my own question, it's hard to say what they WILL blame:  what they WON'T blame is anything or any project THEY endorse or demand or want to ram down our throats.

Attendance is down, according to the rag, 13% from last year, "and they're not sure why."

Well, given the rag's recent bankruptcy, it's fairly clear that both numbers... and money... are constructs they haven't mastered.

First of all, the number "13%" is rather nebulous and antiseptic.  Let me spell is out:

Something on the order of 32,000 people didn't want to waste their money.

Or, in the alternative, they didn't have the money TO waste.

And the rag isn't sure why we stayed away in droves.

They stumble around, carefully avoiding the actual reasons because, well, God knows they could never bring themselves to achieve reality and tell the truth:  because, with apologies to Jimmy McMillan, "The rent is just too damned high."

If you want to have a good time at the Fair... spend the day out there... then you need to be prepared to pay something approaching Disneyland money.

And to paraphrase a famous leftist:  "Idiot who wrote this editorial, I know Disneyland.  Disneyland is a favorite place of mine. And Idiot, the Clark County Fair ain't no Disneyland."

The rag keeps repeating the lie that it's not cost in an economy with double digit unemployment as if the ONLY cost to going to this money trap was the absurd cost of parking and the massive rip off of paying $10 just to walk in.  The Cowlitz County Fair, just north of us, has FREE admission.

So, for a typical family of 4, you're out $45 just to get in past the gate.

And the idea that the only monetary consideration is the cost of admission and parking, absurdly high to begin with, didn't go up and, therefore, there was no financial reason not to go; a conclusion the rag clings to like a plank in the ocean after the Titanic sunk, a rather cold and very temporary dodge, to be sure; is as moronic as believing in their hearts that scamming us all with a ticket tax for the next two or three decades while they offer nothing in return for the bank they were going to make on the ballpark was also a great idea.

What DID go up was what vendors had to pay.  What did go up was what vendors had to sell.  What went up was the cost of everything else.

$8 for a burger?  Seriously?  For THAT?

No.

The reason for the fall-off in attendance to the fair rests with the county commissioners and the fair administration.

And no amount of spin from the rag can change any of that.

You want more people?

Ratchet back the prices.

And remember: in all of this the impacts of these prices that were such a challenge in the disposable income meme so required by small business here in Clark County is just the tip of the iceberg.

If tolls ever get implemented around here, 32,000 skipping the fair will become a drop in the bucket.

And when it comes to the vote... the lack of a presidential primary, the lackluster slate of candidates... the rag's support of fringe-left whack jobs and their rank double standard all sickened people who's attention is elsewhere.

Most of the races were between 2 people (no need to vote in the primary since they both go through to the general) or where the two main candidates were the same (The governor's race, for example, where it really doesn't matter whether Inslee (who is going to win) or McKenna win)  or where the candidates were worthless and the PCO races were a foregone conclusion.

I voted, because once you spend 5 seconds on the East German border you become genetically programmed to vote.

But for those like the moron who wrote this editorial, who have actually supported a candidate who has NEVER voted (Janet Seekins in the assessor election) to complain when others don't vote?

I dunno.  Moron doesn't quite cover it.

So, there ya have it.  The rank stupidity and self-delusion of the cancer on our society on fill display.

I will never attend the fair, prices notwithstanding, as long as they sell alcohol there.... yet another issue the rag rabidly supported.  It's the same thing.... year after year... a large waste of money... now foisted off on a populace increasingly unable to afford it.

And while I voted and always will vote... I can fully understand why Clark County came in dead last place this time around, given the lack of unbiased news coverage and the lackluster candidates.  And, because of the disappointment of RINO Rob McKenna, while obviously, more people will vote in the general, I fully expect us to be in last in turn out yet again.

Given the filth of the campaigns and the blind eye the rag turns to the leftist liars (Boldt and Probst, for example) it's just not going to be surprising.

That the rag doesn't get it?

Well, they call that "Thursday."

Brancaccio is guilty of a hell of a lot more then wanting to shove another tax down our throats for a ballpark.

So, Brancaccio pleads guilty to wanting to shove yet another tax or fee down our throats so 99% of US pay for something HE wants.

What he's NOT "guilty" of is volunteering his rag to be taxed to pay for this waste of money.

So what if you don’t like baseball or don’t plan to go? Could that still be a win for you?

Some would argue no. Fair enough. I respect that view. But I’d argue yes. There simply are certain things — like this ballpark and a professional baseball team — that show a certain coming-of-age aspect to the area. That would be good.

But what about this needed tax support to help build it? Aren’t we cutting back just about everywhere?

Yes we are. And that’s a valid point. But that’s the beauty of an entertainment tax. Essentially, only entertainment would be taxed.

You buy entertainment, you help pay for entertainment. Unlike a sales tax that impacts everyone, this impacts only those who use entertainment.

Gee.  What a surprise.... Moron.

Where have we seen that before?

How about this, instead:

You buy newspapers, you help pay for the newspaper.  Unlike a sales tax that impacts everyone, this impacts only those who buy a newspaper.

I sure don't see him volunteering HIS rag to help pay for this.  Why not?

While Brancaccio's babble is frequently bereft of sense, this kind of self-serving garbage is just that: self serving garbage.

What this REALLY means is that like every other downtown mafia type, he believes that this means their ability to steal our money for their uses has "come-of-age."

Of course, that also makes him guilty of being a hypocrite.

As a permanent member of the downtown mafia, Identity Vancouver types, Brancaccio is guilty of a wide variety of things.

He's guilty of a rank leftist bias.

He's guilty of doing the democrat's bidding like they were paying him by actively covering up Jim Jack's misconduct, pre-resignation, from the legislature.

He's guilty of using his position as editor and the column that position gives him to beat the hell out of those who are wise enough to oppose his utopian view.

He's guilty of running a paper that lies, exaggerates and avoids every tenet of journalism to push a position.

He's guilty of other rank hypocrisy: demanding that we pay yet another tax after his newspaper received a tax cut while the rest of our small business taxes were increased.

He's guilty of wanting to bury us under billions of debt for a bridge and loot rail that we do not want, do not need, and cannot afford.

He's guilty of slamming bloggers when THIS blogger has scooped his exulted rag on a few major stories, namely the fake Baird death threats, the Bittner arrest,and the Jon Russell, fake college degree scam.

He's guilty of demanding "civility" that he uses whenever HE feels like it, all the while unleashing his pit yorkie of an editorial page editor, my mentor, John Laird, who taught me everything I know about attacking opponents to an agenda.

He's guilty of a MASSIVE democrat bias in endorsements.

He's guilty of continuing to lie about the rag's lack of bias.

He's guilty of censoring and banning those from commenting on the paper's frequently pathetic efforts to slant the story... and an institutional failure to include the opposition to his positions in the paper.

He's guilty of shilling the lie that replacing the bridge will "ease chronic congestion."

He's guilty of failing to understand and seek out the opposition to his bizarre views on the massive waste of a bridge replacement until the level of hatred towards his view became so overwhelming he COULDN'T ignoring it any more.

He's guilty of running what amounts to fake polls and using their pre-ordained outcomes to support a false conclusion.

He's guilty of full-out public relations and damage control efforts on behalf of those he supports, such as rehabing Brian Baird's image after Baird's fake death threat, Nazi, Brown Shirt nonsense; a long term project that ultimately failed for him.... and that he continues in his efforts to rehab Leavitt over his months long, multiple lie-campaign on tolls.

He's guilty of shilling Baird's bogus 72 hour scam, never once holding him accountable for routinely violating his own rule.

He's guilty of failing to hold Baird accountable for voting on bills he hadn't read.

He's guilty of attacking the veracity of bloggers when his own is MORE than under question, like he did Koski over his paper's failure to report on Baird's bogus death threat nonsense.

He's guilty of failing to hold Tim Leavitt accountable for his fraudulent election and subsequent lies.

He's guilty of using double standards in endorsements: one moment, talking about a candidates experience or the lack thereof, the next moment, not even mentioning that experience, like they did in the Mielke-Brokaw race... as he endorsed the completely IN-experienced Pam Brokaw... twice.. over experienced candidates... who happened to be, you guessed it, Republican.

Coincidence, to be sure.

He's guilty of supporting a corrupt, gerrymandered C-Trans vote, both in the past and in the future, where tens of thousands of us will be cut out of the vote... but not paying the tax... all while his paper enjoys the largess of the democrats he supports so strogly and often through the B&O tax cut they're still working under.

He's guilty of failing to hold candidates who don't bother to vote, even thought THEY'VE been elected (Leavitt) or those who have NEVER voted (Janet Seekins, Van Nortwick's opponent) accountable in any meaningful way. 

He's guilty of using this blog as a source for stories, and then failing to credit the blog or me, or link to this blog as the source.

He's guilty of protecting Jim Moeller by refusing to remind people that Moeller (and his unbelievable arrogance) authored the moronic "some things are, some things aren't" candy tax, destroyed at the polls last November.

He's guilty of using the Storro story as a campaign piece for TV Tony Golick.

He's guilty of attempting to professionally destroy Brent Boger, Peter Van Nortwick, and, well, me.

Brancaccio is guilty of a long list of crimes to this community.  And to that list, sadly, we can add theft, as he works to steal our money to pay for his ballpark under nebulous crap like that published in his despicable propaganda sheet that would put the fricking Nazi's to shame.
