UPDATE Galina Burley: I HATE to be "handled." Burley refuses to state her CRC position

I have a major problem with candidates who are ashamed of their positions.

I went to Vancouver city council candidate Galina Burley's Facebook page and asked her a very simple question:

  • Kage McClued One question: Do you support the CRC?

  • Straight forward.  To the point.  Yes or no, up or down.
    .
Having done a little homework, based on the typical downtown mafia types who've endorsed her (Pollard, Louderback, Metcalf, Jacks (The legislative staff molester) Brokaw, Horenstein both the Ogdens and that ilk) I was reasonably sure she did.  Pollard, especially, would run over a child with a steam roller before he'd even think about endorsing someone who didn't.

This paragraph from her announcement article kind of set the tone:
She said she supports the Columbia River Crossing, which has been a dominating issue in local political campaigns the past few years, and said she wants to support local businesses to foster job growth.
The number one thing a candidate should have is courage.  Whatever her positions are, she needs to own them and be proud of them... not prevaricate when asked a direct question.

That she tried to handle me... and God, how I HATE to be "handled," shows her to be either getting bad advice:

Yes, I oppose it.  Or, no, I don't give a damn what the voters think, I'm going to support this massive rip off and local economy killing extortion so we can get 40 years plus of tolls to rape our community for a worthless project.

...or that she's got the political awareness of a rock ape.
    .
    Here's her response:

  • Galina Burley for Vancouver City Council Hi kage, I'm excited to hear from you. I've read many of your comments on this issue in the Columbian. Do I support the crc? I, as a commuter, feel that we must have safe transportation options. We also need to have access to transportation so that people who cant drive can be connected (people with mobility restrictions specifically). I do not oppose transportation options for our citizens but do have questions about the council's role with crc specifically.

  • Excuse me?

Burley is not an unintelligent woman.  She's got an MPA (HR Concentration) and BA's in Business and Communication.  She reads and speaks English.  She knows damned well what I was asking, and she refused to answer the question.
    .
    I responded thusly:

  • Kage McClued That's a "yes" or "no" question. You support it, or you don't. I'm reasonably sure that, based on those endorsing you, that is not the answer you gave them.
  • Her response was telling and shows her political cowardice:

  • Galina Burley for Vancouver City Council You are welcome to check with my supporters. Or come to my event next Friday at torque. Thanks for your inquiry.

That's crap.  She's clearly just another Leave-it type buttboy who is owned by the special interests, out to screw the people.

She's just shot to the top of my list, along with Mike Dalesandro, of new candidates unfit for elective office.

    UPDATE:

An obviously pro-CRC supporter/campaign worker for Burley (Or Burley herself?) provides this spin in my comment section:
I found Burleys response refreshing. Instead of a knee jerk reaction she gave a thoughtful answer. To parse her words, she wants transportation for all people but is concerned about councils involvement. That tells me she is not an ideologue but a thinking person who wants all information before declaring a straight YES or No.
    You're kidding, right?

This stinks like Leave-it's flip on tolls.  He had all the information when he was lying about his positions during his campaign.  He didn't find out anything when he was magically sworn in as mayor that he didn't already know as a councilman... which makes his lying justification as to why he betrayed so many of his supporters, as foolish as they were, and "changed" his position when, in fact, he changed nothing except his public persona on the issue.

I didn't ask Burley a question concerning the 6th dimension, quantum theory, sending troops to Syria, or ways to solve the national debt.

I asked her about one of THE most thoroughly investigated and information-rich issues of at least 8 years duration confronting us locally today.

Whoever the person is spinning this through this comment, here's my direct response: playing deliberately ignorant (need more information) when there's oceans of information out there, PARTICULARLY when her response isn't direct, but includes such idiocy as "ask my supporters" isn't "refreshing."

It's cowardice.  She can't run and hide.  When something is obvious, she needs to have the guts to own it.  If she gets defeated as a result (And that is a VERY likely outcome in this day and age) then at least her integrity will be in tact for another try later.  But her political cowardice will follow her forever if she insists on lacking the guts to answer direct questions on the issues most important to the community she purports to want to serve.

It would be one thing if she'd just parachuted in and had never heard of the CRC Scam.  It's quite another to be, allegedly, involved in this community and be too much of a coward to express a position on the issue, telling me to wait until the 28th as if something is going to magically happen that hasn't already happened or to "ask her supporters."

What are they going to say?

SHE INDICATED IN HER CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCEMENT THAT SHE SUPPORTED THE CRC.  Her position was set then... why is she too much of a coward to re-iterate it now?

Further, this isn't an issue of her not having a position, or not knowing: she's already STATED her position.  She obviously sees this as being radioactive, unpopular and a political hot-potato.  If she doesn't have the courage to stand by her convictions, no matter what they are, so she can get elected, warts and all, then she is unfit for elective office or any other position of responsibility.

The LAST thing this area needs is another Tim Leavitt.

Since her campaign is to screw 440,000 people, she might as well get in front of it, own it, and revel in the pain and the harm she is going to cause.

Leavitt's a lying moron, but at least he doesn't run away from his positions any more (not that he's got somewhere TO run) and Burley can't even do THAT.

What you find "refreshing" has the stench of rotting cow manure to me.

The cowardice of Anne McEnerny Ogle.

Earlier, when an utterly clueless coward was running for the Vancouver City Council, I outed her for her lack of guts.  She was hammered in the primary.

Asked a direct question on the issue of the CRC Scam, she lacked the courage to answer:.

Now, it is well-known that Anne McEnerny-Ogle is a CRC Scammer.  The problem here is that she's too much of a coward to admit it.

The question has been asked under one of those canned campaign letters the rag publishes.  She has yet to respond, but one of her lackeys suggested "going over to her campaign web site to find out."

So I did.  But M-O lacks the guts to take a position:

    Columbia River Crossing (CRC)

The CRC project was not funded and this project is no longer moving forward.
Let's encourage our leaders and our community to have serious, meaningful meetings and decide the best way to proceed with our transportation requirements, including the I-5 and I-205 corridors.
There are hundreds of questions.  It's time to move on. Let's start working on a plan for our community and be more accepting of the input from our participants.
This kind of cowardice makes her unfit for elective office, precisely like it made Burley unfit for elective office.

And for something that is "no longer moving forward" it sure is making a lot of noise.

Take a position: yes, or no.  Be proud of it.  Defend it.  But don't try and weasel your way out of it.

Otherwise, you come across as just another whiny little cowardly putz.

Memo to the lackeys: you'd be better off remaining silent then you would to direct people to a website that just confirms her cowardice.

More Brancaccian Intellectual cowardice: the Burley/M-O endorsements.

As I already established, Burley is as owned by the downtown special interests as if the 13th Amendment never passed.

Plus, she's a proven coward, refusing to respond to a direct question concerning her position on the CRC Scam.

M-O?  Who knows?  Sources tell me she's fallen for that idiocy as well.

But that's not really the point.

The point is that gutless slimeball running the rag didn't even refer to the question I KNOW was asked during the editorial boards... as if the people would have no interest in the ability to measure how badly candidates want to screw us by supporting massive rip offs of the variety this cancer on our community has supported for so long.

He provided nothing concerning the CRC Scam and these candidate's positions on it.  Wonder why?

Could it be that he knows the issue he and the rest of the downtown mafia have been trying to ram down our throats is radio-active?  Could it be he wants to deprive the voting public this yard-stick as a gauge of the mentality of the scum he endorsed?

    Of course he does.

Brancaccio's cowardice on this issue has become the thing of legends.  Neither he or that little simp running the editorial page have said one word since their crushing defeat that will forever cement them as blithering idiots wrapped in morons have written anything to explain how they could have been so badly fooled.

Exclusive of the fact that the rag is still on a worthless jihad against Madore and Mielke, Decker's response that he's withholding judgment is precisely the approach needed for the Benton hiring.

Benton may be a total disaster at the job.  He may be a rock star.  No one, including that scumbag Brancaccio, knows.  The easy thing for candidates is to give Lou his verbal blow job and become part of that amen-choir of leftists wearing out kneepads and selling their children to get elected.

What we DO know is that when it comes to environment, Brancaccio has done more damage to our intellectual environment than anyone alive.  He's a far worse editor of the Pravda then Benton is a manager... and this rag has yet to detail one screw up on his part... and, of course, all the while giving Kevin Gray, who got us buried in the storm-water run-off suit, a complete pass.

But Brancaccio's playground bully shtick is how he rolls.  And as a candidate, if you are supported by, or support David Madore or any of his policies or decisisons, this scum bag is goinjg to come gunning for you.

Meanwhile, Burley has something of a record on the Washington State Supreme Court web site, although I've notice some scrubbing appears to have taken place.  A couple of somethin' somethins in 1994 and another little something in 2005.

Looking under her last two married names has been interesting, as is her "relationship" with the mayor, Tim "The Liar" Leave-it, who fancies himself as something of a ladies' man.  But hey... why should the rag care about any of that?

But in the end, it's the people of Vancouver who'll suffer if they re-elect any of the scum this rag endorses.  After all, they truly DO have the government they deserve.

How else can you explain the election of the 3 Keystone Cops representing the Vancouver Soviet in the legislature?

The questionable value of democratian endorsements.

When your priorities are as screwed up as the local democratian's, you begin to notice a few things when it comes to their endorsement process.

The endorsement process is heavily weighted: in Vancouver, it's typically this:
    Are you a democrat?

    Are you a democrat incumbent?

Do you support the CRC Scam?

Do you support the rest of our agenda?
Once you make it through that filter, then you stand a great chance of getting elected.

Case in point, the idiocy of claiming that "Incumbent Jack Burkman as the singularly qualified candidate in the race for Position No. 1."

Actually, he is no such thing.  But when you line him up to the criteria I've shown above, and modify the democratian's observation to read thus:
"Incumbent Jack Burkman as the singularly qualified candidate that most closely matches our criteria regardless of his desire to screw the public in the race for Position No. 1."
The democratian will never endorse a candidate in Vancouver who opposes the CRC Scam or tolls or both.  They will never endorse anyone to the right of Lenin.

So, how'd they do over all, after endorsing the candidates farthest to the left?

    • Galina Burley and Anne McEnerny-Ogle in the race for Position No. 3.

Well, Burley was crushed, amassing a huge 18% of the vote... proving that being the downtown mafia's bitch won't get you elected... even in Vancouver.

M-O amassed a 35% vote.  Neither number was overwhelming: verdict?

    Endorsement didn't help.

    • Alishia Topper and Ty Stober in the race for Position No. 2.

Stober was also crushed, coming in a distant 3rd, kind of pre-ordained after the dual weight of both the Molehill's arrogant endorsement (Kind of like his endorsement of Marc Boldt, come to think of it... how much did THAT help Boldt?) and the kiss of death from the democratian with their fantasy endorsement.

Top-less was all that was left... in the democratian's effort to get rid of the anti-CRC Scam councilwoman Jeanne Stewart.

    Endorsement didn't help.

    • Incumbent Jack Burkman as the singularly qualified candidate in the race for Position No. 1.

Decoded: "Incumbent Jack Burkman is our bitch."

Even with the mark of Demo-satan supplied by the democratian, the community sell out known as Jack Burkman only picked up 45% of the vote.

    Endorsement didn't help.

Memo to the democratian:  Fawning over someone just because they use your agenda as their bible, won't help get them elected.

In fact, because your have lied, exaggerated, twisted and insulted so many smart enough to oppose your utopian vision... endorsements are likely to hurt.

    Right, Ty?

    Tuesday, October 08, 2013

Cementing their bias, the democratian endorses the three CRC Stooges running for city council.

No one's particularly surprised that the democratian has endorsed the three CRC Stooges running for the Taliban City Clowncil of Vancouver.  After all, in Der Führer Brancaccio's world, dissent... vill...not... be... TOLERATED. And it's likely that the outcomes will be roughly the same as they were when the democratian endorsed, for example, that clueless Burley woman who was crushed at the polls in the primary.

Going back to the previously set criteria the democratian used as the filter they employed when they endorsed that lying scumbag Tim "the liar" Leavitt, which included determining party (Democrat?) Support of the CRC scam (are you for it?) Support of loot rail (are you for it?) Is the race remotely competitive? (These likely are) these endorsements were the natural outcome.

The rag is far more concerned about their agenda than any other single or combination of factors when it comes to their endorsement process. That of course, is what makes their endorsements so universally worthless... Since the democratian's agenda typically is opposed by the people of this community.

This explains the obvious reasons that the democratian has yet to endorse anyone who opposes the CRC scam, if they are in anything remotely approaching a competitive race. It's part and parcel of what guided their hatred of Don Benton, David Madore, and Tom Mielke.

For years, this blogger has noticed that situational ethics rules the day in democratian endorsements, as on one occasion they'll endorse somebody who supports their agenda, and utilize an issue such as "experience" as a basis for that endorsement; and in the next endorsement they'll support someone with no experience whatsoever, forgetting all about the experience of the person that they oppose, as long as the inexperienced candidate they support slavishly defends their agenda..

All of those scams are present and accounted for here as on one hand the issue with Berkman is allegedly his "collegial positive style of governance and engagement," not to mention his rabid support of the CRC scam, while manufacturing a reason to oppose 12 year incumbent city Councilwoman Jeannie Stewart, who is not all sweetness and light in the face of her tremendous minority position in opposing the CRC ripoff that these people are ramming down our throats.

The effort is patently absurd and transparent. The more rabid the support of their agenda, the more rabid their opposition to the people, the more likely the democratian is to support them.

That is the democratian's philosophy, it is their creed, and it is what they do in an effort to support those who carry their water like Gunga Din.

Again, no one was surprised that they did this.  Brancaccio isn't anything if he isn't predictable, and the candidates who did not get the democratian's support in these races should again view it as a badge of honor, like Bill Turley should view his nonsupport by the democratian is a badge of honor.

Freeholder "do not elect" list. (Update 6) Added Morris Foutch, Tom Lawrence, Jamie Hurly, Lloyd Halverson, Tony McMigas

More research and additional candidates will result in modifications to this list.

Update 6:  Morris Foutch, Tom Lawrence, Jamie Hurly, Lloyd Halverson, Tony McMigas

Update 5:  Added Gary Lucas, Donald Leonard, Doug Ballou, Tom Lawrence, Bridget Schwarz, Rob Lutz,  Jackie Lane, Tim Podhora, Peter Silliman, Chris Lockwood, Steve Foster,
Wendy Lyn Smith,  Ralph Akin, Patrick Bourcier,  Dick Deleissegues

    Update 4:  Added  Cheryl Bledsoe

Update 3:  Added Troy Maxcy, Mike Yancy and Patricia Reyes.

    Update 2:  Added Marc Boldt

    Qualifications to make this list:

First: anyone who supported the CRC Scam
    Second: anyone that's a RINO
    Third: anyone that's a fringe-left whack job.
Fourth: anyone endorsed by the local neo-communists.

District 1, Position 5: Randy Mueller, Troy Maxcy. Patricia Reyes

Mueller is, among other things, a loot rail supporter, meaning he is also a CRC Scammer.  He rabidly supported Marc Boldt.  He supports HOV lanes, while opposing school vouchers.  he also was one of two contractors running the second CTran tax scam and co-chaired the Library tax levy.

As a RINO, he endorsed John Kerry for president.... much like Leave-it endorsed Obama.

As a democrat, he in no way would be representing the people of Tom Mielke's commissioner district.  He's donated to the dems, Molehill, Fromhold, Pridemore, Stuart, Leave-it, and Brokaw, among other leftists of note.  When he was making his bizarre run at state rep, he claimed support from people who were not supporting him

And did you know he was a member of DENSA?

Maxcy hates anything or anyone to the right of Mao.  Complete far fringe-left kool-aid drinker.

Reyes ClarkBackwards supporter/Treasurer, democrat.  Supports a county executive to curtail commissioner power and wants to curtail voter rights for initiatives.

District 2, Position 1: Joel Littauer

Littauer is a fringe-leftist from the old school, part of the cabal out to get the commissioners... your typical whack job.  Donated to both the CRC Bobbsey Twins: leave-it and Stuart.

District 2, Position 2: Debbie Abraham

Leave-it supporter: CRC Scammer, democrat.  ClarkBackwards supporter, Burkman fan.

District 2, Position 3: Judie Stanton

CRC Scammer, Boldt endorser, former democrat county commissioner.  Endorsed by local neo-communists.

District 2, Position 4: Paul Dennis

Dennis is the leftist mayor who built himself a worthless organization, had himself named head of it, and then quit being mayor of Camas... all for a paycheck.

Too slick by half, and not the kind of corruption we need on, or advising, government.  Endorsed by local neo-communists.

District 2, Position 5: Marc Boldt

(FULL DISCLOSURE: I freely admit that I am totally opposed to Marc Boldt's election since he's completely sold out to the left, forgotten/ignored GOP principles, supports the CRC scam in it's entirety and wants to hang tolls around our neck for the next several decades that will destroy a great deal of small business in Clark County as a result.

Further, Marc Boldt is my brother in law, and I worked for him as his legislative assistant for 6 years while he was in the state house.)

Unfortunately, Marc Boldt is a CRC Scammer.  He was used by his democrat "friends," and then kicked to the curb like yesterday's trash.  But his slavish support of the CRC Scam disqualifies him for any elected position and that includes freeholder.

District 3, Position 1: Pat Jollota, Michael Heywood and Sunrise O'Mahoney

Democrats all; CRC Scammers all, Heywood is the former editorial page editor of the democratian fired for his porn fixes at work: Sunrise is Randy Mueller's main squeeze, so it would be like having two of them.  Jollota is a huge piece of..... work.  Jollota is endorsed by local neo-communists.

District 3, Position 2:  Val Ogden, Rob Figley

Fringe-leftists all, both CRC Scammers. Ogden endorsed and Figley was leftist enough to vote for Burley.  Ogden is endorsed by local neo-communists.

Rob Figley has passed away unexpectedly.

District 3, Position 3: Jim Moeller

As far left as you can get.  A liar among liars, as arrogant as Mussolini.  Has wasted thousands of dollars on bogus per-diem claims... "different" when you're a democrat.  Also endorsed by local neo-coomunists.

District 3, Position 4: Temple Lentz

I outed her as the keyboard behind the daily couv a year before the morons at the Lazy C copped to it.  She was Tim "The Liar" Leave-it's campaign manager during his campaign of lies to become mayor.  Endorsed by local neo-communists.

District 3, Position 5: Jim Mains, Mike Yancy

Mains:  Major player in the abysmal Boldt campaign and CRC Scammer.  Big Topper supporter.  Outed and endorsed by local neo-communists.

Yancy, big Facebook troll, total leftist whack job and idiotic CRC Scammer.

District 2 Position 1: Cheryl Bledsoe

Endorsed by huge CRC Scammer Noland Hoshino.

District 1, Seat 1:  Gary Lucas

Opposes citizen initiatives and referenda to the citizens.

District 1, Seat 2:  Donald Leonard, Doug Ballou, Tom Lawrence

Supports a county executive... ala ClarkBackward.

District 1, Seat 3:  Bridget Schwartz, Jackie Lane

Supports a county executive... ala ClarkBackward.  Lane also opposes citizen initiative and referenda

District 1, Seat 3:  Rob Lutz

Supports a county executive.... ala ClarkBackward.  WEA union hack.  Opposes citizen initiatives and referenda to the citizens.  Endorsed by local neo-communists.

District 1, Seat 1:  Tim Podhora

Supports expanding board without reducing their pay... even though they'd be doing less work. Opposes citizen initiatives and referenda to the citizens.

District 1, Position 4:  Chris Lockwood.

Says a great deal but has no positions on anything: doublespeak.

District 1, Position 4:  Peter Silliman

Supports expanding board without reducing their salaries.  Apparently doesn't appreciate the value of a dollar.  Supports an illegal supermajority on the citizen's voice, initiatives.

District 1, Position 4:  Steve Foster

Leftist hack with the democrat front group, the misnamed "Clark County Citizens for Good Government."  Supports a county executive.... ala ClarkBackward.  Refused to answer on the citizen initiative question: thus he is opposed.  Endorsed by local neo-communists.

District 1, Position 5:  Dick Deleissegues

Refused to state positions on the issues: either he doesn't have any, or he's afraid that people won't like them.

District 1, Position 5:  Patrick Bourcier

Supports a county executive... ala ClarkBackward.

District 1, Position 5:  Ralph Akin

Supports a county executive... ala ClarkBackward.  Wants "narrowly constructed" restrictions on voters initiatives.

District 1, Position 5:  Wendy Lyn Smith

Talks a lot and says little.  WEA hack.

The following were added because the local neo-communists endorse them:

District 1, Position 1:  Morris Foutch
District 1, Position 2:  Tom Lawrence
District 2, Position 1:  James Hurly
District 2, Position 2:  Lloyd Halverson
District 2, Position 5:  Tony McMigas

In the Sheriff's race, it seems like Atkins by default.

At this point, it all seems to be a matter of degree.

I'd already eliminated two from my consideration (Ed Owens (Get your 11-year-old stepdaughter to take the fall for the death of your 3 year old who shot himself with YOUR gun?  Really?) and John Graser, who has been out of the LE biz for some 16 years and seems to be looking for a pension bump.)

That leaves Shane Gardner and Chuck Atkins.

I've never met Shane Gardner.  I was leaning his way until I happened to be at a local business where he was holding a fundraiser and I had a chance to observe a couple of his supporters.

The problem I'm having is, we're told, you can tell a lot about a candidate by those drawn to them as supporters.

    We're told that... right, Lefty?

So, the first warning sign I see is Jim Mains.

Mains is the mastermind behind Marc Boldt's utterly abysmal commissioner campaign in 2012.  Among other things I'm told is that Mains, explaining my opposition to my brother-in-laws re-election, claimed that David Madore was actually paying me to oppose Marc on this blog.

Of course, Mains, to the best of my knowledge, has never uttered a word to me and certainly never called me to ask that.  But it provided an explanation that he believed would cast Marc Boldt in the best possible light and me in the worst.

That it wasn't even remotely true made no difference.

Combine that with the fact that Mains is one of the fringe-left haters who foisted the charter scam on us that he's using to undo the voice of the people, shouted so loud in the November 2012 election, and that he was a big time CRC Scammer... and, well, that's a deal-breaker right there.

Add to that the list of other well-known fringe leftists and in most cases, CRC Scammers... Galina Burley, Anne McEnerny-Ogle, Noland Hoshino, Nelson Holmberg, Bart Hansen, Larry Smith, Alicia Topper, Ty Stober, Dean Sutherland, Deb Wallace and the like and, well, frankly... I don't want him elected to dogcatcher. There are others that concern me on that list... but these scream as reasons to not only vote against him, but to scream out loud while doing it.

    And that leaves Atkins.

I don't care about the fact that it seems everyone with a badge who's ever lived endorses this guy.  He's been at the executive level in the CCSO for quite awhile now, so such a claim is not particularly impactful to me: that's the nature of politics.

But so far, I can't find anything that rises to the level of a reason not to vote for him. At this point, for me, he's the only one I haven't been able to vote off the island.

Time will tell, of course... but right now, he looks like the guy.

    Tuesday, August 06, 2013

Early returns heartening in the primary.

Jeanne "Gavel Down" Harris, who long since overstayed her rather psychotic welcome, is gone.  Ty Stoober, fellow gay buddy of Jim "Molehill" Moeller discovered how worthless Molehill's political support is; and Galina Burley discovered that having the entirety of the Downtown Mafia shilling for you ain't enough when you're a political coward.

These three were on the CCP "Do not elect" list, not a bad outing for an inaugural run.

Like the freeholder vote where a half dozen leftists and one GOP'er are running... meaning it's likely the GOP'er wins... democrats splitting the vote strengthens the GOP hand.

As a community, we're best served by these and many others not being a part of our government.

Well done to the victors... on to the general!

A bizarre email from No-Choice Royce and the fringe-left CRC scammers: ClarkCountyFirst.com

Royce Pollard has seriously thrown in his lot with his fellow fringe-left, don't give a damn about the people CRC Scammers as he tries to overthrow the most recent election, where Republicans took control of the county commission for perhaps the first time ever.

Up until the democrats lost control of the the commission, the very idea of a county charter was anathema to these clowns:

From their propaganda swindle sheet in May, 2011.
Proposed changes in county charter could be awful

Clark County’s government structure is somewhat antique and outdated. A system invented to manage road construction and not much else in the way of governance clanks along clumsily in a high-speed era of complex and varied civic action.

Streamlining and modernizing the machine appeals to the progressive psyche, but the folks who have convinced the Board of Clark County Commissioners to consider adopting a new county charter have other agenda priorities.

They hope to give rural interests dominance over urban values. They suppose they can make it harder for county government to raise and spend money on social problems and infrastructure capital.

They are far away from achieving their goals, but inattention from thoughtful citizens could ease their path.

Without much evident public support, the charter-change advocates have persuaded the county commissioners to start the ball rolling toward charter change for the third time in recent history. In January the board formally adopted a resolution to consider a move from the present form of government to something different.

Different how? That depends entirely on a panel of elected freeholders and how ably they can sell their program.

So far the county commissioners have ordained that, should the charter process go forward, each of the three commissioner districts will be represented by five freeholders who would be elected at the Nov. 8 general election. Any registered voter would be qualified to seek election to the board of freeholders. Upon their election the freeholders would establish a schedule of hearings and meetings for the consideration of what might be included in a new county charter. Upon a majority vote by the freeholders, the Board of Clark County Commissioners would be obliged by tradition if not certainly by law to lay the proposed charter before the electorate.
See: 2 years ago, they were terrified at the thought that  "They hope to give rural interests dominance over urban values."

    Were they lying then?

    Or are they lying now?

It's pretty apparent that they seem to have gotten over their hatred of the likelihood that the conservative/anti-CRC vote would likely result in a 4-1 GOP advantage around here.  I guess the "rural dominance" that was such an issue has vaporized.

So now what are they saying?  What are they doing?

    They sent out this crap:

Clark County First wants to help you get elected!

    Congratulations on becoming a candidate

We'd like to ask you a few questions.

    Freeholders is Happening!

    Picture
The 15 positions were created in the three Commissioner districts and 123 citizens of Clark County filed for the jobs.  The freeholders will be voted on in November and then begin creating a County constitution with the capability to separate legislative, judicial, and executive powers, increase the number of commissioners, and decide whether some county positions should be elected or appointed.  Read the Columbian 08/10/13 article

Recognize that on that list are citizens who wish to reduce the power of Madore and provide fair and modern government for Clark County.  And there are Madorites on the list who will work hard to keep Madore in his free-reign of power.  A questionnaire is being sent to all candidates asking for their directions on key issues.  Those answers will be published here to assist the voters in choosing freeholders who will provide optimum government in Clark County.

    Don't Vote...?!

    Picture
Don't vote for Vancouver City Council candidates financed by Madore.  People not to vote for are Jeanne Stewart, Frank Decker, and Micheline Doan.

Need some ideas on who to vote for?  Try these:
       Position 1 - Jack Burkman
Position 2 - Ty Stober (or Alishia Topper)
       Position 3 - Galina Burley

John Laird defines Tea Party's backwards strategy

    Picture
Taking the Park's Fees away does a couple things - it reduces income for the County and opens the door to unregulated abuse of the parks.  These effects in turn reduce the County's ability to function (i.e., provide necessary and expected services, like Sheriffs) and, in a backwards way,  allow for criticism of the Park Department, or the Sheriffs, for not doing their jobs.  It's a downward death spiral.  It is the desired outcome for the wrong-minded Tea Party anti-government zealots.  And they'll be the first to complain about potholes and lack of protection - and want to privatize services or act as vigilantes.  John Laird in his wisdom discusses these concepts clearly in his 07/21/13 editorial - get a clear understanding of the abuse the Post Office is unnecessarily taking.  Read the editorial.

John Laird says "People of Clark County deserve separation of powers"

    Picture
"The blatant abuse of power here by conservative commissioners David Madore and Tom Mielke" is the root of John Laird's column (Columbian 07/14/13).  Separation of executive, legislative, and judiciary is indeed one of the basic precepts of our government and is just a damn good idea.  Our County government when small and agile could afford to crossover those attributes.  Now with large population and budget, it is no longer feasible.  And the abuse it permits is totally unacceptable.

Freeholder-created Charter government is a way to correct this and once again provide good honest government.  Pay attention to the ClarkForward slate being aligned for Freeholders by Auditor Greg Kimsey and Commissioner Steve Stuart.  The people earmarked by this group can be expected to create a fair & honest charter that separates the 3 branches of government and shuts down King Madore.

One of the steps toward improvement is expected to be an increase in the number of County Commissioners - from 3 to 5.  As a confirming first step, a petition is circulating now to put the 3-to-5 vote on the November ballot.  This could make the increase in commissioners happen sooner and send a message to the elected Freeholders.  Sign or carry the petition NOW.  Call Dan Ogden at 360-254-8886, or Morrie Foutch at 360-608-7997.

    Sign the Petition!

    Picture
The petition to get the vote on the November ballot to raise the number of County Commissioners from the present 3 to a total of 5 is circulating NOW.  It needs your signature, if you haven't already done so.  The time is short for the circulation - it needs to contain 20-25,000 signatures by the end of July.  Call Morrie at 360-608-7997 to sign, or especially, to get a page filled out at a local location.

This is a good project.  Raising the number of good-government Commissioners is vital in reducing King Madore's power.  Every push back to his agenda is a blow to his power.

    Saturday = 'Nay'.  Monday = ???

    Picture
Subject:  The death of the CRC

    Sub text:  Hypocrisy

Summary:  The CRC was voted down on Saturday.  On Monday the people who voted it down say we need a new bridge.

Madore, Rivers, Benton, and Herrera have sold SW Washington and the nation’s Interstate 5 down the Columbia River, and claim they did the citizens a favor.

Benton did Madore’s dirty work as CRC opponent and was instantly rewarded with a plum job and salary.

Rivers votes ‘nay’ on Saturday and on Monday wants to put a bridge committee together because “a new bridge must alleviate traffic congestion for Clark County residents” [Columbian 07/02/13].

Madore and Harris still talk about a bridge at 192nd Avenue.  Ain’t gonna happen.  No money, no design, no clear path.  A red herring.

Congresswoman Herrera did not support the Project either but says 07/01, “I believe if we are all dedicated to the task we can have a plan ready to go relatively quickly.”  The project designers have all been fired and any monies for building or design have been carefully excluded from any budgets.

Read all the jaw-dropping quotes in the Columbian 07/02/13

Paula Hammond, former WA State Secretary of Transportation clearly elucidated the Safety, Economics, Trip quality, and Community benefits to be gained from the CRC project.  She also stated the number of jobs to be lost by not getting it built.  She said, “According to a 2005 study, up to 6,500 jobs per year could be lost by 2025 without investments. A thriving economy needs a modern and reliable transportation system that the CRC project will provide. And while we are building the project, construction will support an average of 1,900 jobs per year for about 10 years.”  All lost now.  Read her entire article Columbian 01/29/12
The political snake charmers: Madore, Benton, Rivers, Herrera, have dealt a huge blow to the area.  They have made the people of SW WA look like fools as well.  Their agenda is to dismantle government, and they’re just getting started.

CRC Foes Celebrate, Civic Leaders Mourn

Picture The CRC Project was halted by a WA State Senate vote on  Jun 28.  The Benton-Rivers alliance in Clark County has defeated the procurement of a new I-5 bridge largely to have been funded by federal funds and to include Light rail mass transportation.  It would have brought jobs for the 10 year life of the project, and millions of dollars of revenue into the Vancouver region.

Madore was a leader in the defeat.  From the Columbian:  'Reached late Saturday, Madore welcomed the news — and reiterated his call for a third bridge over the Columbia River at 192nd Avenue.

One more example of Madore driving this community down  the drain.  A bridge at 192nd Avenue is never going to happen - Oregon doesn't want it, it wouldn't connect to I-5, 192nd is already built up as a shopping street, there would be no federal or state money, And he's heard all that for years.  Read the Columbian article - 06/29/13

"Clark County First wants to help you get elected!"

Indeed. They want to help "get you elected" NOW, because of their hatred for Madore and Mielke.

Two years ago, back when their only concern was "the rural influence" taking over?

    Not so much.

If you disagree with that hatred, they'll do everything they can to get you trashed, and get their leftist sheep on the committee.

For whatever the reason, they're neglecting to mention their leftist roots... and who's behind this scam:

    Royce Pollard.

    Val Ogden.

    Marsha Manning.

The creme de la creme of our local fringe left. Pro-CRC Scammers all, people who have never lifted a finger to get a vote on the rip offs they've supported for so many years.

So, when they sent this out, their true motives and plans?

    They've kept hidden.

You know.... kinda like Pollard kept the true reasons behind the CRC rip off covered up.

So, beware. Caveat Emptor and all that.
