More on the Trump McCain idiocy: using veterans as political fodder.

The RINO Establishment is losing their minds.

What.  They think nobody is watching?

This is a list of World War 1 and 2 monuments and cemeteries located around the world, mostly outside the US.

Under most of them lie the dead of our Nation, fought defending a people that could not, for the most part, defend themselves successfully against aggression without the help of our (almost entirely) young men who gave their last, full measure of devotion to an idea.

In this country, there are hundreds of thousands of veterans (And I am not one of them, I'm drawing no disability not do I or have I filed any claim)  who wait... and wait... and wait... for their medical treatment and their claims to be adjudicated.

Many of them die waiting.

The Veteran's Administration's incompetence is the stuff of legends.

And it has not improved on John McCain's watch.

Folks, if what Trump said was insulting to veterans, I would proffer the idea that this government's treatment of veterans is a mortal offense in comparison.

How many times have we seen it?

Can anyone explain to me why illegal aliens are treated better and have access to more and greater benefits than veterans?

Here in Washington State, as just one example, an illegal alien who isn't even supposed to be IN this country is now eligible for in-state tuition and financial aid (thanks once again to our GOP-Controlled State Senate...have they taken really good care of us or what?) while a veteran from, say, Montana is allowed neither?

Illegals get housing, welfare, foodstamps and they even get tax refunds when they pay no taxes.

Do veterans get that?

So, here's the thing: As I've pointed out in the past, I will listen closer to a veteran, regardless of party or politics.  But once they get there, they had better keep their promises... and the US Senate needs to set about to keep the promises made to the veterans of THIS country... and what... how... has McCain done anything to accomplish that in the entire time he's been in the Senate?

An d when it comes to the non-serving POGS running for President, why anyone gives a rat's ass what Jeb Bush or anyone else who never bothered to serve has to say about it is beyond me.

These same people have essentially remained silent during the time they COULD have actually made a difference on this issue.

The LAST thing I need is for someone who never set foot in uniform, who wants to use our bodies to climb to the pinnacle of political power in this country, to tell me how outraged they are or how I, as a veteran, should feel or think.

The Trump/McCain bruhaha.

So yesterday, Trump center-punched McCain.

In the news
  • John McCain for being “captured” during the Vietnam War brought sharp rebuke from others ...
  • Donald Trump Will Not Apologize To John McCain
    Huffington Post‎ - 1 hour ago
  • Donald Trump Says He Does Not Owe John McCain Apology
    ABC News‎ - 2 hours ago
  • As a veteran of combat arms, I'm of exactly two minds about this:

Having had a political family member denigrate my service, which was nothing compared to McCain's, I know the anger that can cause.

It's one thing to attack a veteran.  It's another when you never served yourself.

    I get that.

And taking it a step further, all who served this nation, unlike most on the left and the clown running this show, have shown by their actions a propensity of putting this country first... ahead of self.  That certainly speaks to McCain's favor.

As a veteran, I will always give fellow veterans running for office first shot, regardless of party.  That gains them political entree, so to speak.

But having achieved that, their politics is what keeps them at my political pinnacle.  What they do with the opportunity and privilege we've given them is the thing.

And McCain has blown it.  Repeatedly.

Those in the establishment of the GOP who've been looking for a way to attack Trump believe this was their golden moment.

    I don't think so.

Regardless of what Trump has said about McCain, what he's saying about illegal aliens and terrorism and the complete vacuum of leadership and rank cowardice of the current administration is much more important.

If the GOP wants to resonate like Trump, than they need to more closely align their positions with him.  Throwing Hail Mary desperation passes because you've got and are getting no traction isn't the way.

McCain, in theory, is a big boy.  He can take care of himself.

But if the GOP were more Trump-like on his positions, then there wouldn't even be a Trump candidate to concern themselves with.

The GOP has, for lack of a better term, morphed into a bunch of pussies.  So afraid of being called names and being ridiculed that the issues confronting this country... issues such as massive debt, illegal aliens, border security, ridding ourselves of the fungus of Obamacare and Benghazi, to name a few, remain unresolved and in many cases, even unaddressed even though many of these same cowards ran on a platform of addressing all of these things.

I would rather dive into a vat of boiling hydrochloric acid than vote for Jeb Bush or anyone like him.

I believe that in policy, the GOP needs to be more like Trump... MUCH more like Trump.

And when it comes to this issue... those running for office who never thought highly enough of serving it in uniform should just shut the fuck up, because those babbling about it who blew service off are just as bad, if not worse.

As for me, I refuse to discount everything Trump has ever said because he bitch-slapped a RINO like McCain.

That he used that verbiage was stupid on his part.  But it has no impact of any kind on the rest of the issues he's talking about... or positions that he's taken... positions which, for the most part, I see him as being completely on target about... to the consternation of the establishment RINOs infesting the GOP today.

Democratian damage control for Rivers: "Can't win if you don't play - can win if you cheat."

Another in the two-decade long series of "bash Benton" pieces was used this morning as the opening gambit for a damage-control campaign for Sen. Ann Rivers (R-18) whose good work to date has been massively overshadowed by ignoring a primary campaign promise she made to get elected, to neither increase the gas tax nor tab fees on her watch.

She then proceeded to do both.

Briefly, this is what she wrote for her 2012 campaign web site, recently taken down because, no doubt, of the dichotomy of her words from her actions:

Seems fairly straight forward to me.

In addition, Rivers approved both the application of a completely bogus emergency clause and the successful GOP Senate effort to keep a referendum clause out of this legislation, not to mention the GOP Senate/Brad Owen skullduggery in the form of the "unconstitutional/constitutional switch" flipped by the GOP Senate when it came to the transportation tax increase (GOP-Senate Rule UNconstitutional/GOP-Senate Rule CONstitutional... when they wanted it to be.)

So, not only did she lie to get elected, she then compounded that lie by "CRC-ing" the voters of her district and this state by taking every available step to keep us from having any direct say on this legislation, the largest gas tax increase in state history.

And don't misunderstand me: she MAY say that she opposed the emergency clause and tried to get a referendum clause into the bill.

Fine.  Then make those requirements a condition of your support.  If those are not in the bill...

    Vote "no."

Regardless of her positions on those issues, she failed to leverage them into the bill and voted for it anyway.

And this is something she's proud of?

I get that the rag is all about lying and betraying the voters for what they see as a good cause.  In everything from the Pollard Hilton that has sucked up $27 million of our tax dollars during it's sordid existence to the CRC Scam to BRT and the TriMet $5 million sellout, when it matters, the rag has been there to help the special interests grind their jack boots into the back of our necks.

After all, THE biggest liar in local politics is Tim "The Liar" Leavitt, slavishly supported by Lying Lefty Lou Brancaccio ever since he flipped about 60 seconds after HIS election on the tolls issue for the CRC Scam, in fact, doing roughly the same thing that Rivers did on the gas tax:

Using their respective positions on these issues to get elected, only to betray the voters who rabidly supported them because of those stances by ignoring their pledges once it suited them.

And, as you might expect, completely unmentioned by the scum at the democratian who, having read my blog 4 or 5 times a day according to my tracking software, are well aware of this campaign promise but who, seeing yet another opportunity to pummel Benton, failed to mention it since it would blow their meme out of the water.

It's the minor detail that keeps on giving.

They failed to mention it because integrity and truth really have no place in the hallowed halls of Lying Lefty's den of inequity.

In the end, Rivers got her 4 pieces of silver for selling out while, like him or hate him, Benton kept his campaign promise to not increase our taxes.

We would be having a completely different discussion had the GOP-controlled State Senate, along with my Senator, Ann Rivers, made sure that this package in fact DID have a referendum clause in it before they voted it out.

But in the end, this legislation shows that the GOP of this state is just as frightened of the will of the voter... just as concerned about political expediency.... just as unwilling to go out and convince us that this is the right thing to do and get our PERMISSION to do it... as the rankest democrat who ever lived.  You know... like Jimmy Moeller or any of the C3G2 gang of haters.

And, of course, no column of idiocy by the rag could possibly be complete without shilling the $100 million complete waste of money to rebuild a freeway intersection... 1-5 and Mill Plain... that absolutely needs nothing, let alone a rebuild.  Because, after all, it was on the CRC project list and some nibble at that loaf is better than no bread at all.

The column, then, effectively chastises Benton for keeping his promise and lionizes Rivers for lying.

But then, in the up is down, right is left world of the rag, does anyone find that terribly surprising?

When I was a leader in the military... both an NCO and and officer, one of the rules of being a leader... one of the cornerstones of leadership was simple:  Never promise anything that you cannot or will not deliver.

    Let me repeat that:

If you're going to be a leader of any kind... including in politics.... never promise anything you cannot deliver.

The only thing that makes our political system work is also the same thing that makes our monetary system work... for now, anyway... and that is that the piece of paper in your hand, be it the dollar or a solemnly made campaign promise is, in fact, worth something.

In national politics, perhaps the biggest liar of the last 65 years is our president, who essentially lies every time his lips move.  He's had his chances, and lied repeatedly throughout them.  Now, for example, when he needs the American people to believe him on the idiocy of Iran... we don't.

But what happens when we lose faith in that piece of paper?  What happens when we lose faith in those representing us because they lied to us?

And no matter how much the cancer on our community spins it, it boils down to one Senator telling (and keeping) the truth, while the other Senator now gives us reason to doubt everything she says, everything she claims, everything she utters... because at base... she lied to get elected... and now, we must ask ourselves:  When is she telling the truth and when isn't she?

And no amount of leftist lying pap from the embarrassment of a local newspaper can change that.

Situational hatred and leftist ethics by the C3G2 gang.

Look, I'm sure that every county of any size by population has it's own hate groups.  The largest one, put together by hater-in-0chief and District 2 councilor candidate Chuckie Green, is the aptly named Clark County Haters for a Leftist Government, aka C3G2.

One of their most strident haters is one Michelle Wollert.

And while she appears to hate anyone to the right of Mao, she fits hand-in-glove with the hatred meme of C3G2 when it comes to David Madore.

Now, let me make this clear: I am not voting for Madore in the primary.  If he makes it to the general against either Boldt or that porcine little dwarf Dalesandro, then I will vote for him in the general.

I would vote against any candidate who stupidly thinks the I5 Bridge is this regions "top transportation priority" because, of course, most people with functioning neurons in the area are not possessed of or care about the "downtown mafia, got-to-have-loot-rail-influence" that runs Boldt's and Dalesandro's campaign.

That said, the point of this post will be made clear in a second.  But first, here's one of the cornerstones of the C3G2 hatred set as espoused by Ms. Wollert:
    Michele Wollert
According to the most current Public Disclosure Commission's reports, to-date, David Madore has donated about $104,000 to his own campaign. Add to this already-fat number, the $151,000 raised by three individuals in a new Madore PAC; and $16,000 individual and in-kind donations and you have a whopping total of about $261,000 in Madore's war chest.

Compare that figure with the total donations raised by the other candidates: Mielke $21,870; Boldt $11,025; Stewart $7325 ($5000 of which is a loan she made to her own campaign); Dalesandro $6376.

Put those numbers on a chart, like my friend
Bridget McLeman did and the discrepancy in money power is, well, visually stunning shall we say.

This race is like watching a sports team pummel an opponent, running up the score just because they can. Good sportsmanship be damned. Who cares about a level playing field? Let's beat the snot of of 'em because we have something they don't and because we CAN.

I am wondering what is missing in Madore's soul that allows him to take pleasure and pride in his breathtaking finance advantage. He should be ashamed.
In the last election,Madore outspent Boldt by roughly 3 to 1.  The fringe left have convinced themselves in their stupidity that, as a result, Madore "bought" his election.

Thus, Wollert's peculiar brand of leftist hatred as shown above.

Yet, they fail to mention the OTHER commissioner race happening at the same time, the Tom Mielke/Joe Tanner race.

And they don't mention it because, well, frankly, Tanner outspent Mielke by roughly NINE to one... and Mielke cleaned his clock.

Tanner dropped tens of thousands of his own money into that race, much more than the entirety of Mielke's entire campaign budget... and still got his butt kicked.

So, if Madore "bought" HIS own race... how do these fringe-left nutbergers explain the Tanner/Mielke debacle?

The can't.  More importantly, they won't.  And they won't because money is nice to have... but ultimately, ideas and a record are what wins  (or loses) elections, and Boldt's record and ideas sucked.

He barely received 30% of the vote in his own district in the primary that he'd been representing for 8 years.  That meant that 70% of his OWN commissioner district did not want him any more.

    Seventy.

    Percent.

And now, the thought process is that Madore is likely to win (And I believe that to be the case) and when he wins, the fringe-left slime are already setting up the excuse that it wasn't about ideas... it wasn't about his vision... it wasn't about his accomplishments... oh, no... it was only about his MONEY.

In fact, that scumbag hypocrite Wollert tells us that HE (Madore) "should be ashamed."

    Of what?

Were these same scum "ashamed" of Tom Steyer, when that California billionaire dropped millions in to our last election cycle to win the GOP Senate for the democrats?  Was Wollert out there pounding her moron drum over that?

    No?  Why not?

I'll tell you why not.  Because leftists generally are rank hypocrites.  And Wollert is no exception.

And what about democrat congresswoman Suzane DelBene, of Washington's 1st District?  She spent around $3 million or so of HER own money to "buy" HER seat.

Was Wollert or any of the other C3G2 haters throwing a hissy fit over THAT?

Of course not.  It was a leftist doing it.  And when the Koch Brothers spend their money as they see fit, many of these same fringe-left morons lose their minds.

Let George Soros drop tens of millions into democrat campaign efforts and you could hear a church mouse fart in the silence of these same hypocrites.

Even fringe-left nutbergers like Wollert are entitled to their opinion.  But to have any validity, they should hold everyone equally accountable... and require the same standard of EVERYONE in politics... not just the people they hate.

And that's why, in many ways, I do hope Madore wins.  The heads exploding all over the local leftist world would be a sight to enjoy... a comedy of epic proportions.

And they're already good for a laugh.

How to deal with the muslim issue.

What to do... what to do.

98.9 FM The Answer's photo.Picture it this way: it's World War 2... and we have 6 million die-hard Nazi's in this country.  What would we do with them?

Well, we could be guided by what other countries do.

Japan, for instance, allows practically zero muslim immigration.

There's something to be said for that, obviously.

But we have something on the order of 6 million muslims in this country.  Hell, we haven't bothered to control our illegal alien population, how can we hope to control a group with the avowed aim of taking over our country and exercising power over everyone in it?

As the number of episodes of muslims murdering us increase... and continue... at some point, this country will act... will be forced to act.

    What does that look like?

We have a Constitution.  The president has shown us what an increasingly powerless document that is; he and his party ignore it like slime on the CTran Board ignores the BRT vote.

The Constitution is the basis for all of our laws.  What it ISN'T... is a death warrant.

There are ways... even Constitutional ways... to address this issue.

    So, what to do?

Rest assured, none of the options are pleasant.  When implemented... and at some point, they're very likely to be implemented... there will be a great whaling and gnashing of teeth.

But is this Nation to be allowed to use it's guiding principles against it?

    1.  We must end all muslim immigration.

There's a reason that Japan has practically zero issues with muslims.  That reason is: they have next to none.

    2.  We must eradicate muslim extremism wherever it exists.

That means we quit screwing around and destroy ISIS and al Qaida and any other group or country bent on our destruction... such as, for example, Iran... and destroy them first.

Borders must be as meaningless to us as they are to them.  And that means going after them wherever they are... as well as going after those who support them, assist them, finance them...or in any way aid in their ultimate aim.

    3.  We must begin the process of eradicating muslim extremists from this country.

Being or becoming a muslim far exceeds the importance of nationalism to the militant ilk.

To do nothing in the face of evil is to acquiesce to that evil.

In this case, we must error on the side of caution.

If we suspect an individual of being an extremist muslim, we must arrest them and deport them.

If a country doesn't want them or won't take them, we can always return Mexico's favor and force them over the border there.

But we cannot allow the existence of militant islam within our borders.

    4.  We must secure our borders.

As much as Obama enjoys making this country a destination resort for illegal aliens, it's far too easy for these individuals to infiltrate this country.  Border security, of which we effectively have none... is a critical element of that equation.

There are a great many systems that have to be developed and put into place.  And in reality, the time is long past.

But ultimately, the attacks are going to increase in number and severity.  And with each attack, they become closer to their goal while we are pushed further away from what makes this country great.

We can accomplish this by declaring muslims to be enemy combatants.  And yes, it will be painful and difficult.

But not as painful and difficult as the funerals of innocent Americans slaughtered by these scum.

Some reading this will, no doubt, be horrified at the thought.  But the fact is that these people do not recognize borders.  An oath of allegiance to this country is utterly meaningless to these people.  It is, quite simply, kill or be killed.

And as a nation, we must begin to realign our thinking to address the ever-increasing threat.

Or we are going to pay... and pay dearly?
