Sen. Rivers' legislative plan? What's she lying about now?

Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers WANTS you to think she gives a damn what you tell her... what you care about.... what matters to you.

She doesn't, of course.  But she wants you to THINK she does.

Over the past 3 calendar years, Rivers has been at least partially responsible for several billion dollars in tax increases, both for the gas tax/tab fee increases, the largest in our state's history; and the billions she worked so hard to give to the WEA last year after she was hired by the democrat campaign firm, Strategies 360.

Rivers, of course, ran on a platform of OPPOSING gas tax and tab fee increases.

But as we all know now, that was a flat out lie.

She, of course, is the master of the lie.  And when I drilled her about lying during the town hall meeting that followed her betrayal, this was her response:

None of that excused her lie of the campaign, of course.

And in fact, she lied by omission in this article:
Given the developments regarding transportation over the Columbia River, what do you feel needs to be done to ensure a solution will benefit Washington, and can the Legislature do anything to meet that end?
Many of us in the Clark County delegation are working together on the transportation issues that concern both Oregon and Washington. This past year the Legislature approved our bill to create a bi-state work group to meet regional transportation needs. I realize the need for progress has only increased with the traffic associated with the new casino in North Clark County, but we’re talking about major investments, and they need to be approached in a thoughtful way.
Is that the only bill she got passed?  Is the so-called "bi-state work group" dealing with ANYTHING except resurrecting the I-5 Bridge/loot rail scam?  Is there anything in there that even mentions additional bridges in additional locations; bridges that, unlike the I-5 Bridge scam her downtown mafia buddies want, would actually make a difference in the I-5 corridor?

No?  Why didn't she mention THAT?

Simple: because the majority of her district would rather drop the I-5 Bridge/loot rail scam into the river than go along with her rip off.  And she knows it.

In her mind, she plays the democrat game: whenever a "Republican" votes against their district or for their special interests, they call it "leadership."  In this case, leaving our the salient portion of the facts is her effort to make us believe she's actually trying to fix the cross-river transportation issues confronting us when, in fact, nothing could be further from the truth.

She called her decision to lie to us about her true position on gas tax and tab fee increases to get elected a "business decision."

Maybe it is.  I've got to wonder: what was her pay off?  Regardless of what that might be, clearly she has the integrity of a snake and with equal clarity, her concerns have nothing to do with what we want, or need or can afford.

Since 2015, when it's really, really mattered, Gas Tax Rivers has voted WITH the democrats and AGAINST her own district.

She has lied repeatedly to get what she wanted at our expense.  She's been such a great little democrat that the democrats HIRED her while she was "negotiating" (bending us all over) the ways our property taxes were going to explode.

THEN, along with Sen. Lynda Wilson (D-Tracy) she lied to us all about our property taxes going down:
"I just want you to know that everyone in Clark County will be receiving a property tax that's going down."
Why do they lie to us?

Is it possible that neither Wilson nor Rivers really knew at the time how badly they were screwing us?

SURELY they know by now, don't they?  They can read an OPR Chart as well as I can:  A blind man could see it in a minute.

We ARE going to get hurt this year.  Our property taxes ARE going to explode and these two generally... and Rivers particularly... bear the lion's share of responsibility for doing this to us.

Unfortunately, Rivers is a proven liar, now out only for herself.  It's almost like Joe King is yanking her chain.  But that can't be... can it?

So, yeah, in this puff piece by the Reflector, Rivers did what Rivers does.  She puts out a lot of vague, nebulous words that mean nothing... but it makes the casual reader who doesn't know better believe that she's actually doing something FOR us instead of TO us.

Think in terms of Jaime Herrera... the most utterly worthless Member of Congress in the GOP caucus... and that is saying something.

The old Rivers... the pre-sellout Rivers... would have laid out a list so that anyone could see what difference she was going to make.

Now, thanks to the formerly GOP-controlled senate selling us out, she's not in as much of a position to damage us as she has been.

Remember this every time you tank up.  Twelve cents a gallon is going to King County thanks to Rivers.

Since she was a key player in that insanity, I've got to wonder why.  In fact, I have yet to receive a straight answer as to why the Legislature even bothered to acknowledge the Supreme Court's babble in McCleary.

The Court has no more power or ability to order the Legislature to legislate than the Legislature has the power or ability to order the Supreme Court to adjudicate.  And the Supreme Court has zero ability to enforce their bizarre edicts which were based not on law... but instead, on the leftist politics running rife in the Puget Sound Soviet.

Remember this the next time you pay your property taxes and for the years to come: the extra hundreds you're paying?

That's on Rivers and her sidekick Wilson.  And remember they lied to us about that as well.
