Leftist billionaire and state elected corruption. Caught in the act. UPDATED:UPDATED:UPDATED Billionaire effort to strip the initiatives off the ballot.

UPDATED:UPDATED:UPDATED Billionaire effort to strip the initiatives off the ballot.
It would seem that a leftist group of billionaires, including Nick Hanauer, Bill Gates and Steve Balmer, funded 2 separate lawsuits against the Washington Secretary of State to have the Lets Go Washington initiatives taken off the ballot this November.
The case made it all the way to the State Supreme Court and neither Secretary of State Steve Hobbs nor Sideshow Bobby Ferguson, the Attorney General and governor wannabe, never told anyone.
it would seem that the suits blasted through from a superior court to the court of appeals and then to the Supreme Court without public notice and without notifying Let's Go Washington, the organization behind the initiatives.
If a reporter researching another case and stumbling across THIS case hadn't found out, and then called Brian Heywood, who organized and funded the LGW effort to ask for comment, they NEVER WOULD HAVE KNOWN until it was over.
The claims were, apparently, that the process used to determine signature validity was "flawed."
The Court, for their part, and stunningly enough, voted unanimously to throw out both lawsuits, and the measures will remain on the ballot.
It is unknown how this could have been kept so quiet beyond the likelihood that @letsgowa was not a party to the suit, or why neither Hobbs or Sideshow never said anything... even though we all know the most dangerous place on earth is the space between Sideshow and social media.
But we can guess.
The measures are I-2066, stopping the natural gas ban, I-2109 repealing the capitol gains tax, I-2117, ending the hidden gas tax AND I-2124, opting out of the state's mandatory state-run long term health care coverage act.
This is an absolute example of leftist corruption.
This apparently just broke at 7:00 pm tonite (Friday).

So. The US is heading towards a cliff. And where's our focus? The PR firm of Taylor and Travis.

Let me say at the outset that I care about... and for... celebrities'... precisely as much as they care about and for me.

And the reader knows that none of them give damn one about me.

In the Bread and Circuses world we've become, almost the entirety of this country's attention is glued to Taylor and Travis. Those who have their attention elsewhere and , like me, suggest that out time is better spent outside of that well-panned and media-fostered black hole are accused of "attacking" (mostly) Taylor Swift for one reason and one reason only: She is a she.

We're told to shut up if we don't go along with this cleverly managed flavor of the week who has been elevated to the level of "God's Gift To Entertainment." As a male, I'm frequently attacked for my views concerning women's issues. Speaking your mind results in efforts to be silenced, ridiculed, misinterpreted and, at least on one occasion, local media's efforts to cancel me.

Well, I'm reminded of two of the hallmarks of this particular blog that I try to live by. They're on the right of this screen but they're also imprinted on my heart:

“In a time of universal deceit – telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

George Orwell, author of 1984

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."

Dr. Martin Luther King

Our total inability to focus on things that matter, regardless of how unpleasant those things may be, results in this country being manipulated, being lied to and being put at risk.

The major issues confronting us are ignored. No one is ever held accountable for the damage inflicted and the deaths caused. Criminals are allowed to roam free. Homelessness is the worst it's ever been. Drug importation and use has literally wound up costing the deaths of 10's of thousands of lives. Crime rates continue to explode and murder rates set records. Public schools are a slow motion train wreck with mainly utterly horrific academic outcomes while schools focus on inculcating children with leftist tropes while they do all they can to mainstream the permanent sterilization, butchering and mutilation of children who can't get tattoos, can't enter in to contracts, can't own property and in many cases, can't even drive a car.

I refuse to respond to celebrity. I refuse to do anything because someone I've seen on a TV or movie screen tells me to do so.

Because here's the reality.

Americans do not WANT to think.

As a country, the people here are TOLD what and how to think and God Help those wise enough to throw off the shackles of societal expectations and political correctness to think for themselves.

Celebrities have an inordinate amount of power in forming/shaping opinion in this country, power I simply do not understand.

When a celebrity speaks? The entire world is required to listen.

How many times, for example, have we seen media on Bill Gates?

No so much for what he's done or doing, but instead for what he's saying?

I grant Gates' expertise in the field of computing. I freely acknowledge, unlike either Taylor or Travis, that Gates' company has built, perhaps, the single most impactful product the world has ever known: the Personal Computer.

But what knowledge or expertise is he imbued with beyond that?

How does that make him, or any other celebrity, an expert on anything?

I've frequently stated that my Spaniel knows more about politics than he does, yet, because of WHO HE IS, lack of qualifications or experience aside, we're expected to listen to him.

Or LeBron who knows how to play game but who knows nothing about the mechanics of government, or foreign policy, or law, or any number of things that make up the fabric of this country.

But because he's a celebrity, what he says frequently gets more attention than the president.

Who he hates, what he thinks, what he eats or drinks... all of those things are SUPPOSED to be important.

Why?

Meanwhile, as the title says, this country is beginning to sprint towards the edge of the cliff.

A $34 trillion debt. (Estimates are we'll be paying $700 billion in interest alone this year) All of the issues previously mentioned. A great many countries who seriously want us destroyed. A divide of leftist hate. A border that can't even really be called a border any more since it bears little resemblance to such a thing.

Our troops are getting killed. Countries around the world successfully play us for suckers. Terrorist supporters infest Congress. The dual tier of something called "justice" is screaming, Corruption at almost every level runs rampant.

Post attack photo of of the Army post in Jordan

And where's the focus?

On a singer and a football player.

A few days ago after the attack on our forces in Jordan that killed 3 and maimed 40, I pointed out that neither of these people know the names of or care about any of them.

Our 3 soldiers killed in Jordan - Sgt William Jerome Rivers, 46, of Carrollton, Georgia; Spc Kennedy Ladon Sanders, 24, of Waycross, Georgia, and Spc Breonna Alexsondria Moffett, 23, of Savannah, Georgia.

Neither of these people, Taylor or Travis, know the names of nor care about any of the men and women slaughtered in Kabul towards the end of the horrific and ignominious (and cowardly) withdrawal from Afghanistan.

America is blissfully (and deliberately, as it turns out) quite unaware of the world around them.

And the people of this country wouldn't have it any other way.

After all, there's celebrities to worship. And we can't let anything interfere with that, can we?

More on I-1098, the income tax scam: massive tax increase.

.
The scum behind this rip off, including Bill Gates, Sr and the state employee unions, know it will pump an additional 2.3 BILLION dollars a year into state coffers. As The Times put it: "It's not a tax cut" it's a massive, horrific tax increase in the midst of this terrible recession.

Don't be fooled.

Initiative 1098 is not a tax cut

Don't believe the hype of Initiative 1098 proponents, who are selling the proposal as a "tax cut." Yes, some other taxes are trimmed, but the income tax proposed would total $3 billion by 2014.

Proponents for the tax hike have puffed up their argument like piƱatas full of cheap candy talking about two taxes the initiative would cut, hoping to blind voters to the big tax increases I-1098 supporters really want.

By 2014, the state income tax created by I-1098 would be collecting more than $3 billion a year. Property taxes would be cut by $403 million and business taxes by $261 million. These are not the opponents' figures. They are the state's. And what they mean is that for every dollar of state income tax collected, the state expects to hand back 13 cents to property owners and 9 cents to business owners.

The state's ballot title has it right. It says: "Initiative measure 1098 concerns establishing a state income tax and reducing other taxes."

That is what I-1098 is. But it is not how its supporters describe it.

Consider their first TV ad. In it, Bill Gates Sr. disingenuously says, "1098 will cut state property taxes 20 percent." But state property taxes are only one-fifth of all property taxes. The actual cut in people's bills would be only about 4 percent. The people selling I-1098 know this and will admit it if you corner them. But they won't put it in their ads.

Nowhere in Gates' folksy ad does he utter the electric words "state income tax." Gates is a lawyer. He knows what kind of tax it is.

In the Voters Pamphlet, now available on line, the pro-1098 salesmen do use the words "income tax," but only after they have softened up the prospective voter with the sweet phrases "lower taxes," "cut taxes," "reduce taxes" and "tax cuts."

Initiative 1098 is not a tax cut. The $3 million that has been raised to sell it on television is mostly from state employee unions. They are not for tax cuts. They are for tax increases — which is what I-1098 is.

Let's call it by its right name.

Here's why I'm a "no" on 1098.

.
First and foremost, there is no question that this initiative is unconstitutional.

Second, it's a class warfare gig designed to increase the leftist vote in November.

Third, there is no doubt that the $200,000 ceiling is at least as secure as the $250,000 ceiling mentioned in the lies of the anti-American empty-suited racist bigot in the White House's pledge: in short, not at all.

Fourth, until state and local government employees and elected officials take a pay cut, I don't want to even begin to hear about needing more of our money to spend.

Fifth, if anyone doesn't already know that this nonsensical "$200,000" figure isn't worth the paper it's printed on is an idiot.

Sixth, any initiative the proponents have to lie about... like the gas tax increase or this income tax... should not be rewarded with passage.

That, of course, is the devious aspect of this scumbag plan. The slime behind this initiative know it, that's why Senior's ad didn't have the guts or integrity to even mention that 1098 is an income tax.

Folks, the issue isn't taxes, it's spending. The GOP has been warning for years that this outcome of massive deficits here in the state were the inevitable outcome for state government as long as we allow the union thugs to run the show.

Right now, there are three groups of people in this state.

Group one is the increasingly smaller pool of people paying the bills.

Group two is the increasingly higher paid government employees.

Group three is the increasingly larger number of people extorting money, along with the government employees, from the shrinking pool of taxpayers.

Group one has to pay for groups 2 and 3... groups that don't give a damn about the phantom "shared sacrifice" that Obama babbled about between the weekly White House parties and his golf games.

Twenty percent across the board pay cuts (Only 34% less then I've had to live with) for government employees at every level.

Twenty percent pay cuts for all paid elected officials.

The bait and switch tax cuts this crap pile spews are just that... soon to vaporize under an avalanche of excuses from the leftists who'll benefit. And as a small businessman who would save quite a bit from this fraud, I'm here to tell you: I am not interested.

If either or both groups don't like it, they can quit. I'm sure there will be no shortage of people who would gladly take their jobs at the reduced pay rate.

Some basic situational awareness; specifically, that society cannot afford moronic and idiotic pay raises like the La Center police department wants in the midst of this horrific recession.

Some remembrance of precisely who government works for.

And "No" on I-1098.

Lies by omission: the slimeballs shilling I-1098. Did they mention it's an Income Tax?

.
I-1098. It's an unconstitutional income tax wrapped in a camel's nose under the tent flap approach to scamming us with a state income tax via the ol class warfare scam.

The scum behind this effort know that. That they know that is illustrated by the fact that their first television ad... well... doesn't bother to mention that it IS an income tax.

The fringe leftist whack jobs behind this and supporting it want us to forget Obama's lies about those of us making under $250,000 not having to pay "another dime" in higher taxes?

These clowns want us to pay a LOT more dimes... ALL of us making a living... so these clowns can spend it.

First Initiative 1098 ad avoids the phrase "income tax"

Posted by Andrew Garber

Initiative 1098 supporters are running their first television advertisement that talks about the benefits of the measure without saying it would create the state's first income tax.

The ad features Bill Gates Sr., the public face of the initiative, with piano music in the background. Gates says, "I love our state. That's why I helped write Initiative 1098. Middle class families are struggling. 1098 will cut state property taxes by 20 percent and eliminate the B&O tax for small businesses. It will dedicate $2 billion a year to improve education and health care and only the wealthiest 1.2 percent will pay more."

While indicating the money would come from the wealthy, there's not a word that the initiative would create an income tax targeting high-wage earners. The measure would create a 5 percent tax rate on annual income above $200,000 for individuals and $400,000 for couples, and a 9 percent tax rate on income above $500,000 for individuals and on income above $1 million for couples.

Sandeep Kaushik, a spokesman for I-1098, said the campaign spent more than $300,000 on an initial TV buy with the ads running on broadcast and cable channels across the state.

As for the ad not mentioning an income tax, Kaushik said: "I think people understand what 1098 is about."

Man up, Gates. This is about a fricking income tax, an income tax where the threshold will get lower and lower and lower. You punks sat around a table and you actually concluded that if you can play the class warfare card, you can find yet ANOTHER way to screw the people out of more money.

At the end of the day, the two train wrecks to our immediate south show that a state income tax solves NOTHING. Particularly when, like you, you have already earned most of your income and won't have to pay taxes on much, if any of it.

But for God's sake, have the guts to be honest about it. Don't hide the fact that screwing us all with an income tax is your ultimate goal.

The racist who is President of the United States.

.
I've been referring to our president as that empty-suited, anti-American racist bigot since long before he was, quite unfortunately, elected to the highest office on the face of the planet, the Presidency of these United States.

I've been concerned about his paper-thin depth, his complete lack of experience, his utter lack of vision, his undeniable lack of credibility and the complete lack of respect for the man and his policies in the foreign policy arena.

Obama is a bigot. He is inculcated in the victimhood that all races so-called minorities have been brainwashed into believing and using for excuses for their failures for decades. I've known this; anyone watching Obama during the Wright debacle, wherein he sat in the church of a fringe leftist racial bigot that would have put anyone in the Klan to shame (purely for political gain, you understand) has known it, and his miserable, racist handling of the Gates matter, wherein his racist, knee-jerk position was automatically to believe ANOTHER racist black professor, who's unconscionable acts were not caused by his race but by his victim-hood, wherein he lied and claimed to be a victim of the racist actions of a white police officer DOING HIS JOB.

The lowlife occupying the White House called a police officer, DOING HIS JOB, “stupid.” He called him that because he has been programmed to automatically assume the officer is wrong any time any member of the black intelligentsia whines or whimpers the “racism” card.

Mr. President, if anyone here is “stupid,” (Besides those who voted for you and continue to support your moronic, clueless administration) it is YOU.

Your utter cluelessness; your race-based presidency that flies directly in the face of EVERYTHING YOU PROMISED, frightens us.

And it has to stop, before you destroy everything.
.
