Top stories for 2017, in no particular order. (LONG)

      1.    Property tax betrayal.

There was never any question once Sen. Ann “Gas Tax” Rivers became involved in the GOP-controlled senate's McCleary insanity that we were going to get screwed.
A consummate political liar, Rivers was already known for lying her way into office by pledging to oppose gas tax and tab fee increases to get elected, only to betray her district and the people of Clark County to the tune of $700 million when the time came to vote on their stupidity…
All without asking us, of course.
Now, in large part, thanks to her and her fellow RINOs like Sen. Lynda Wilson (D-Tracy) our property taxes are set to explode during the next calendar year, thanks in large part, to those two scum.

Here are the projected increases:
School district tax increases: 2018 (Median taxable single-family residence value)
Battle Ground School District taxes: $250 ($289,900)
Camas School District taxes: $330 ($378,300)
Evergreen School District taxes: $210 ($244,000)
Green Mountain School District taxes: $190 ($224,000)
Hockinson School District taxes: $340 ($385,900)
La Center School District taxes: $260 ($303,700)
Ridgefield School District taxes: $290 ($339,000)
Vancouver School District taxes: $220 ($251,600)
Washougal School District taxes: $240 ($272,000)
Woodland School District taxes: $170 ($192,800)
So, when you get your property tax statements here in a few weeks, and you have a heart attack based on the massive increases that these two morons PROMISED would NOT be happening; you know where to look for the responsibility for this debacle.
2.       RINO candidate recruitment
RINO hatred of conservatives is legendary.
Local RINO scum such as Rivers, Wilson, Vick, Harris, Herrera and the like went out and handpicked a puppet to take Rep. Liz Pike’s place; an empty shell of a clown they believe they can control and rammed him down our throats.
He has no positions, refuses to answer any questions, refuses to communicate with a constituent he disagrees with and, in the main, is utterly worthless.
But he’s Rivers’ bitch.  And that’s all that matters to them.

Last cycle, for example, Rivers hated conservatives so much that she went out and recruited a clueless Battle Ground idiot who actually wanted to increase the sales tax and apply it to food to pay for the McCleary extortion.
He was clobbered in the primary, of course, but the hatred of all things conservative is obvious.
2A. RINOs will again support Democrat Marc Boldt for County Chair.
Boldt has been the disaster I knew he would be.
So incompetent and stupid that the PDC has removed any financial control of his campaign efforts from him or any member of his family, Boldt continues on in his consistent record of jacking up our taxes, raising fees, supporting the CRC/Loot Rail scam and every other fringe-left cause that he was known for during his disastrous tenure as a county commissioner.
In the election upcoming, RINOs like Carolyn Crain, the tool used by David Gellatly, too stupid to  know when he’s been trashed by that idiot, have already positioned themselves to DEFEND Boldt’s massive property tax increases (3% over the past 2 years) as they move to OPPOSE the election of the only announced Republican in the race, Liz Pike.

And these same scum that supported Boldt LAST time will do so THIS time… since he’s a tool they use like a wrench as well.

Only in Clark County would the RINO scum work to elect a leftist endorsed by the Young Democrats.  And that’s what’s going to happen here.
3.       Herrera’s ongoing lack of action on cross-river transportation
By now, you’ve no doubt reviewed Herrera’s lengthy and detailed plans to address the cross-river transportation issues confronting us.
The fruit of 7 years of hard labor, Herrera’s plan addresses every element of the largest economic challenge confronting us: locations for additional bridges, funding, making sure the hated loot rail stays out of Clark County, designs and, of course, routing.
It’s a lengthy and brilliant piece of work that shows that Herrera has been doing SOMETHING besides eating bonbons as she sits on her ass in the office in DC, collecting a fat pay check.
What’s that, you say?

You HAVEN’T read her plan?

I’m stunned and amazed.
Wait… what?

You say she DOESN”T HAVE A PLAN?

But… but…. How is that possible?
She’s been sitting there for years.  She knows these issues exist… and you’re telling me she has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE?
How can that be?
How can it even be possible that this clueless waste of skin hasn’t even broken a sweat to get this issue resolved?

She’s had enough time to plan a moon mission and she has done absolutely NOTHING to address the bridge issue?
Yeah, RINOs.  Feel free to vote for this utterly worthless d-nothing, know-nothing again next November.
Just as long as you understand that her only function is to get reelected… as she lacks even the guts to hold open town hall meetings.
A full on, gutless incompetent.

It’s what I knew she would be when she got the gig.  And, if anything, my opposition to her understates how utterly worthless she has been and will continue to be.
4.       The CRC resurrection
To see the depths of Sen. Ann “Gas Tax” Rivers complete cooption by the RINO forces, one need look no farther than complete flip-flop by Sen. Ann “Gas Tax” Rivers on this subject.
Back before she became a complete sell out… (Blackmailed? Bought?) Rivers had been a leader in killing off the CRC/Loot Rail scam.  In fact, she had earned the nickname “Bridge Killer” as a result of her efforts… a label, at the time, of honor and integrity.
Now, her and the other RINOs have become leaders in bending us over to bring it back.
Make sense to you?
Nope.
It sure is like somebody’s got something on her.  A whole lot of somethings.

Incriminating video?  Pay offs?  Extortion?

It can’t be what *I* think it is… could it, Senator?

Now, she lies effortlessly.  Now, she completely ignores her district and just does what she wants.
Somebody got to her.  The same way they got to her over the $700 million gas tax/tab fee betrayal.
5.       The insanity of Gellatly/CCGOP leadership
For the better part of a year now, Davey Gellatly has been a stain on the local political roll of toilet paper.

A thug who has gone so far as to actually SUE a PCO over a PRIVATE email message, Gellatly is a liar, a thug, and a narcissist who attacks, threatens and does his best to publicly destroy anyone wise enough to disagree with him.

His incompetence has cost the Party thousands, with tens of thousands more in upcoming party legal issues; his petulant jerk routine has long since worn thin.  He’s hired people to find out things about his political opponents and, at base, he’s but a bully bent on driving the CCGOP into the ground.

All while the RINOs applaud… as long as he does what they tell him to do.
He’s a punk best known for his multiple DUI’s and his thought processes concerning women.
He’s unfit for any elective office, including the one he holds now, and those supporting him have some interesting questions to answer in the upcoming election because of that support.
6.       Trump’s inauguration
Look… it was a thing of beauty.  It broke the way I predicted.  I warned the GOP that it was coming.  The more RINO-like the GOP got, the more likely it was that Trump would win.

RINOs at all levels claimed that Trump wouldn’t… couldn’t win.
How’d that work out for them?

It was a thing of beauty and I enjoyed each and every minute of it in the face of the naysayers.
7.       Loss of the GOP-controlled state Senate
This one was an easy prediction.
The GOP-controlled Senate has been voting increasingly left since they screwed the people of this state with the largest gas tax and tab fee increases in our state’s history… Licenses cheaper for illegal aliens than citizens; massive unnecessary property tax increases… all without asking.
When the GOP starts voting like leftists, there’s no point in voting for them.  Why vote for the fake, lying Republican voting like a democrat when you can get the real deal, truthful, but politically wrong, democrat instead?

Leftists at least have an excuse for their lack of common sense.  They’re leftists.  But so-called Republicans?

What’s their excuse?  Since when did the GOP at any level decide their judgment superseded that of the people they fooled into electing them?
8.       Idiocy of the McCleary decision
These fake Republicans have also raped us financially with a massive property tax increase arranged by Rivers the RINO as she jumped… quite unnecessarily… through the hoops held up by the State Supreme Court who ordered the Legislature to legislate as if they actually had that power.  The end result, thanks to Rivers, is $5.5 billion thrown down the WEA rat hole.

No conditions.  No increased accountability.  No standards.  No nothing.  Just a pure, every day, run-of-the-mill bend over.  Billions wasted.  We'll have nothing to show for it.

The money, of course, will make no appreciable difference.  If money solved the problems caused by incompetent, disinterested teachers, then the Baltimore School District, which is wasting $18,000 plus on each student, would be cranking our geniuses, instead of the semi-literate cretins they’ve BEEN pumping out.
9.       Women in ground combat
There is nothing good about this.  Allowing this to happen does absolutely nothing to increase force capabilities and, in fact, measurably DECREASES those capabilities.
Women are getting ground combat MOS assignments not because they are capable: the vast majority would never come close to such assignments if they had to achieve the male statndards.
But they don’t.

Even in this fake era of so-called “equality,” female standards remain far easier than male.
They cannot ruck as far, run as far, carry as much as long and, in general, will case mission capabilities to be reduced at a much greater expense.

In everything from non-deployability due to pregnancy to social issues to hygiene issues, this is a bad hangover from the Obama test tube military that someone who genuinely hated the Armed Forces of the United States and who will never have to live with the results of his idiotic policy changes.
The Marine Corp tested the concepts… and they were uniformly a disaster.

As written up by the Marine Corps Sergeant Major who criticized the moron Navy Secretary who rejected his own study when it failed to meet the outcomes he expected, SGM Justin Lehew lays it out in black and white.

And Lehew would know, given his history.  Anyone known as something like “The Hero of Nasiriyah” should be listened to on the issue of ground combat.

Ok, been silent long enough on this. I have been a part of this process from the beginning and I am just going to put it out there. The Secretary of the Navy is way off base on this and to say the things he is saying is flat out counter to the interests of national security and is unfair to the women who participated in this study.
We selected our best women for this test unit, selected our most mature female leaders as well. The men (me included) were the most progressive and open minded that you could get. The commander of this unit was a seasoned and successful infantryman. The XO of this unit was as good as they get, so good the USMC made her the CO of the Officer Candidate School.  I just selected the SgtMaj of the unit to head up our senior enlisted academy at Camp Lejeune, NC. No one went in to this with the mentality that we did not want this to succeed. No Marine, regardless of gender would do that.
With our limited manpower we cannot afford to not train everyone to the best of their abilities.  This was as stacked as a unit could get with the best Marines to give it a 100 percent success rate as we possibly could.
End result?
The best women in The GCEITF as a group in regard to infantry operations were equal or below in most all cases to the lowest 5 percent of men as a group in this test study.

(EDITOR: Let me repeat this.  SGM Lehew indicates that the BEST women they Marines could find were EQUAL OR BELOW EQUAL to the BOTTOM FIVE PERCENT OF THE MEN AS A GROUP IN THIS STUDY.

How can that possibly be an argument that women in ground combat is… in any way… a good idea?)
They are slower on all accounts in almost every technical and tactical aspect and physically weaker in every aspect across the range of military operations.
(EDITOR:  Wait… what?  They are slower on all accounts.
Isn’t speed a major element in the combat environment?  They don’t get it in the technical aspects and they are PHYSICALLY WEAKER?

Gee.  Who knew?)
SECNAV has stated that he has made his mind up even before the release of these results and that the USMC test unit will not change his mind on anything.

Listen up folks. Your senior leadership of this country (EDITOR: this test was during the Obama Administration) does not want to see America overwhelmingly succeed on the battlefield, it wants to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to pursue whatever they want regardless of the outcome on national security.

The infantry is not Ranger School. That is just a school like any other school and is not a feeder specifically to the infantry.  Anyone can go to that school that meets the prereqs, just like airborne school. Kudos to the two women who graduated. They are badasses in their own right. In regards to the infantry....there is no trophy for second place. You perform or die.
Make no mistake. In this realm, you want your fastest, most fit, most physical and most lethal person you can possibly put on the battlefield to overwhelm the enemy's ability to counter what you are throwing at them and in every test case, that person has turned out to be a man.
There is nothing gender biased about this, it is what it is.  You will never see a female Quarterback in the NFL, there will never be a female center on any NHL team and you will never see a female batting in the number 4 spot for the New York Yankees. It is what it is. As a country we preach equality.  But to place these mandates on the military before this country has even considered making females register, just like males, for the selective service is in all aspects out of touch with reality.
Equality and equal opportunity start before you raise your right hand and swear an oath to this country.  Yes, we are an all volunteer force at the moment. Should this country however need to mobilize rapidly again to face the threats of the world like our grandfathers did, it will once again look to the military age males of this country to fill the ranks because last I checked, we did not require women to register for the selective service.

Until that happens, we should not even be wasting our time even thinking about opening up the infantry to women. To my female Marine friends out there, I love you to death, you are the best of the best and you have my continued admiration for what you do and to the Marines of the GCEITF....you are tops in my book for taking up the challenge...regardless what the SECNAV says about you not being the best that we could have put in that unit because you were....on all accounts.
I have caught some flack because I take positions on this issue which are unpopular on the part of many.
I don’t care.

I’m accused of “misogyny.” As you might expect, those hurling the accusations have never served period, let alone in the combat arms environment... so their knee is jerking so hard it’s liable to break.
Damned few of those whining about my positions have my experience.  Very few ever bothered to serve.  Fewer still ever set foot in combat arms.  And that number shrinks even more when it comes to combat arms assignments….to practically none.
I take a broader view: would I want my son serving in an infantry platoon with a female platoon leader who can’t keep up, who can’t carry their own gear, can’t shoot as well, who can’t deploy because she’s pregnant?  (And at any given time, thousands of women are non-deployable because they decided to get pregnant, putting themselves ahead of their responsibilities to their unit and their people.)

Nope.

If I’m wrong on this… I’m wrong.

If I’m right, then blood… OUR blood… is going to be spilled needlessly.

If I’m right, then troops are going to die and missions are going to fail.  Needlessly.
If I’m right, then we will have wasted tens of millions of dollars to accommodate the politically correct so THEY feel better.  But then, THEY will never be shot at by a hostile force, killed by a hostile force and, of course, captured by a hostile force.  And we know how these women are going to be treated when THAT happens… Geneva Convention notwithstanding.

And those who disagree need to come after ME… if you’ve got the guts.

Well, these are the top stories I'm aware of.  Your mileage my vary.  Feel free to add as the mood strikes.
