If it's not broke, Marc Boldt will fix it until it is.

Insanity has many definitions: one of them is doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome.

Kinda like putting Boldt back into government.

By any slide-rule measure, Clark County is doing pretty good.

In fact, it's doing geometrically better than when Marc Boldt was running it under the old regime he loved so much.

Unless, of course, you're a leftist.  If you're a leftist, you're likely feeling kinda shut out about now.

With, for example, 15 legislators representing Clark County, 12 of them are GOP.

And, of course, the entirety of the county commission/council is GOP as well, a fact that grates on the local left to no end.

But this picture is kinda cute:

“Clark County will be rebuilt with genuine hard work.” - Marc Boldt for County Chair

Rebuilt to what?

From what?

It's not as if we are a leftist bastion like, say, Detroit.

One of Boldt's problems is that he sees a county that isn't there.

In politics, it's genuinely fatal to present a vision of something that does not exist as if it does.

Marc can swing a hammer.  He can drive a cement truck when he's not knocking street lights over with it.  There's all kinds of things Marc can do.

Unfortunately, as 8 years in the office of county commissioner has shown... governance ain't one of them.
