Why are democrats generally, and the president particularly, lying to us about immigration and so many other things?

The Administration continues to not only ignore immigration law, but then they proceed to lie to us about it.

Why?
Why has this administration become the administration of lies?

Why are democrats at all levels down to the legisdlative, so eager gto lie about the issues confronting us?
The administration shouldn’t be releasing ANY illegal aliens: they should depart each and every one they catch; criminal record or not.

The lack of a criminal record should never be the determinant as whether or not illegals stay here: the only question here is this: are they illegal?
And if they are, then why aren’t we deporting them?

Why is the law so unimportant to the left?  Why do they have to lie about it?  How many times were we assured by the same people who assured us that if we liked our plan, we could keep our plan, etc?

The Obama Administration lied last year when they informed Congress and the public that the 2,200 people that the Administration released from incarceration to save money had only minor criminal records.

USA TODAY, gaining the data from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) through the Freedom of information Act, reports that some of the illegal immigrants had been charged with kidnapping, sexual assault, drug trafficking, and homicide.
GOP members were furious when the data was released. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had told Congress that the inmates who were released were “low-risk offenders who do not have serious criminal records.” Records reveal that ICE was readying itself for budget cuts in February 2013 when it released the immigrants, only two-thirds of whom had no criminal records.
After the new information was released, ICE spokeswoman Gillian Christensen protested, "Discretionary releases made by ICE were of low-level offenders. However, the releases involving individuals with more significant criminal histories were, by and large, dictated by special circumstances outside of the agency's control."
Sen. John McCain, R-AZ., weighed in that it was "deeply troubling that ICE would knowingly release thousands of undocumented immigrant detainees – many with prior criminal records – into our streets, while publicly downplaying the danger they posed."
Normally, ICE releases immigrants with serious criminal records only if their legal status has changed or if they cannot be deported. Every illegal immigrant held in jail costs ICE an average of $122 a day. Last year, GOP members asked ICE Director John Morton for specifics about the immigrants the agency had released. Rep. J. Randy Forbes, R-VA, asked Morton, "No one on that list has been charged or convicted with murder, rape or sexual abuse of a minor, were they?" Morton responded, "They were not." He added that none of the released immigrants had been charged with child pornography charges. White House spokesman Jay Carney echoed that the prisoners who were released were "low-risk, non-criminal detainees."
Yet an ICE spreadsheet reveals one immigrant from Texas had been charged with aggravated kidnapping and sexually assaulting a child, and others had charges including armed assaults or assaulting police officers. One immigrant had been charged with conspiracy to commit homicide. Two more had charges of aggravated assault using a weapon, and another had been charged with sexual assault.

There’s more, of course.  But why is it as a group, they depend on the lie?
I get that they’re terrified of the results if they told the truth.  I get that they understand that their chances of election or reelection would vaporize if they told the actual truth of what’s going on and what they want to do.

But they are going to get killed at the polls this November anyway: why not show som e guts and tell the truth?
You supported Obama?  Don’t be a coward… admit it.

You want to raise taxes?  Don’t be a coward… admit it.
You want a state income tax?  Don’t be a coward… admit it.

You don’t care what we think or say?  Don’t be a coward… admit it.
That’s one of the reasonably admirable traits of Jim “Molehill” Moeller: he’s a fringe-left whackjob who would make Joe Stalin blush.

But he makes no bones about it.
He doesn’t care what the people think or want; none of that makes any difference to him.

And he’s up front about it. Unlike democrats in, say, the 17th or 18th, who would lie to you about the weather and do it with a smile.
But the democrats have lied to us so much, for so long, and told the truth about so little, that they’ll now automatically lie to anyone about anything and do it forever.

As the campaign thankfully winds down, we’re told that the lies about immigration were budget-driven, for example, when that was a lie.  Yet, I would venture to say, for example, that deporting these criminals… literally criminals… would be far cheaper than the damage they will cause and the lives they will take as a result of cutting them loose to score political points that will harm this country.
It simply boggles my mind that not ONLY do they lie, they’re not even subtle about it.

It’s much like the left around here and their obsession over the CRC/Loot Rail scam.
The people of Clark County HASTE the idea of this project.  Democrats here locally know that, and they are willing to fly their plane directly into the ground nose-first, instead of admitting they were wrong or providing any other options.

Proof of this is simple to achieve:  no democrat in Clark County running for anything has offered ANY alternative to the CRC Scam.
None.

By default, that means the East County Bridge Advisory will pass overwhelmingly, because the left has offered precisely zero alternative.
And that is deliberate because they hope against hope that the MCC falls apart with this election and that the CRC will be brought back to life.

Their failure to offer any alternative is a deliberate political strategy wherein they reiterate that they simply do not give a damn what we thing or what we want.
Democrat Former Commissioner Steve Stuart said it best when, during a regular commissioners meeting, he said:

"And I've said it before: I don't speak for the people.. I will NEVER speak for "the people," I speak for Steve and some of you are going to agree with me and some of you aren't."
That abrogation of democracy is the universally shared view of every democrat running from the legislative level on up.

They CLAIM that they’ll listen and “represent all of us,” but we all know that’s yet another lie.
Briggs, for example, repeatedly demanded that the 18th District legislators ignore the vast majority of their constituents and implement his policies and his policies alone when it came to the CRC/Loot Rail scam.

What kind of ego is even capable of such a thing?  What kind of arrogance is even remotely capable of believing that those who are the majority of a district should be ignored in favor of the minority?
Yet, that is the leftist mindset from down here all the way to the very top.

And I have yet to get anyone on the left to explain it to me.
