Man, it's like the conservative commissioners shut the democratian down!
Here's the thing: The democratian can always fix this. Next time, just match the Reflector's prices instead of rather stupidly believing you could bend the taxpayer over because you're the only game in town.
Because it damned sure looks like you aren't.
Every leftist hater in the county exhibited the wailing and gnashing of teeth of Scott Campbell yesterday as a result of the decision to stick it to the democratian. Here's the facebook comments under the article: it's like the world has ended without mentioning the irony that, well, we all know that few... and most likely, NONE... of those whining actually ever read the notices they're sniveling about... and equally likely, never will.

Who cares about the Reflector...its a BATTLE GOUND PAPER....I live in Camas, work in Camas, and get the Columbian. Why is this disenfranchisement of east county happening....was the Post Record considered?

The Reflector a great, fair newspaper. Post in the Reflector and post on the county web-site. forget about the one-sided Leavitt loving rag, the city has baled them out to many times.

Glad to see that you support burdening taxpayers for their vindictiveness, Terence.Reply ·

For every action, there is a reaction. The Columbian is now sowing the rewards for continually hammering them! Any business person would do the same.
Dylan Normington · Top Commenter · Arizona State University
So Marsha, you support violating the terms of the county's bid reques and wasting taxpayer dollars and increasing the county's expenses. There is no justification for m&m's actions. They are petty, thin-skinned and vindictive and now taxpayers like me pay the price.Reply ·

Is this Madore's next step in starting his own paper ... using his political position to grant contracts that undercut the competition.

Mielke makes me shake my head.
"The papers are about the same size (in terms of) information."

Tyler, you forgot to mention whether the peanuttiest m&m's followed the vote by sticking their thumbs in their ears, wiggling their fingers, and saying "neh, neh, neh, neh, naa, neh!" Given their apparent lack of maturity, it is the type of gesture we would expect from mental & midget, the m&m boyz.

Watching the meeting on CVTV as I am reading this article. Overwhelming opposition by all commenting, even Madore supporter Crain! It just doesn't matter, Madore and Mielke passed it anyway. These two little ignorant dictators have got to be removed from office! They could care less about the people of Clark County. They have only their little agenda and vendetta in mind.

THIS is why these 2 commissioners will be voted out of office at the next election. We need commissioners who are unbiased and follow the rules.

We also need an unbiased newspaper in this county!Reply ·

Makes no sense unless you consider the increase in circulation the reflector will experience. Is Benton part owner? Madore conducts county business like he owns the county and we are all his employees.

It appears that while the M & M Boys may be thick-headed, they are at the same time thin-skinned.

So when we do we see the "don't loose business knuckleheads" coffee mugs for sale? As someone who has been burned by the poor journalism and low ethics at the Columbian, it is well deserved.
Terry Miller · Top Commenter · Almost boss at Dogs, cats & goats
Well it is more of a paper that would read, not just line the bird cage with.
Fran Hammond · Top Commenter · Vancouver, Washington
Published once a week, with a limited circulation. Now, those that may be interested in any notice having to do with Clark County (jobs, bids, foreclosure prop. for sale, endless notices) will have to subscribe to the Reflector. It has a limited normal delivery area. This is nothing but retaliation by Madore and Mielke, and should not be allowed in any way, shape or form!
Dennis Toomey · Top Commenter · University of Oregon
These words are on the front page of the "Reflector"..."Serving North Clark and South Cowlitz counties, WA." ..All of the circulation in South Cowlitz County is wasted for the purposes of the legal notices. It does not count for the purpose of the legal notices. This blacks out Vancouver, Camas and Washougal and is not in the best interest of Clark County.

Looks like Lil' Davey and Mikey figure keeping their ice cream money away from that bad man Lou will hurt him real bad and then he can't say mean things about them to the other kids any more . . .
Whatta' couple of maroons.
