Brian Baird: Coward (XII) The Columbian spin machine goes into overdrive.

.
Our worthless rag has dropped any pretense of fairness, or a lack of bias, or non-partisanship as they continue to do everything they can to rehabilitate the Cowardman's image.

This community has been subjected to at least it's fourth sickeningly sweet Baird puff-piece as they continue on in their efforts to save our idiot Cowardman from himself.

Brain Baird is a liar. When he says that he hasn't made up his mind on voting for or against this, he's a lying scuzball.

Brian Baird is a hypocrite. In his dog and pony show, he kept talking about voting "no" on a Republican bill known as the "prescription medication bill" as a sign that he won't vote "yes" on a bill that he hasn't had time to read... all the while, ignoring the fact that he had done his master's bidding TWICE this year in voting for two of the worst bills, the Porkulus and cap and swindle; each time without having the opportunity to review/read the bill.

Brian Baird is a scumbag. This sleazy waste of skin called ME and millions of other veterans Nazis and Brown Shirts.

And then, as detailed below, Brian Baird continued his hate speech at the Rotary even after the waste of time at the Amphitheater.

In their obscene efforts to rehabilitate the Cowardman's image, the Columbian engages in the same campaign for him that they have in lying, exaggerating and distorting... not to mention ignoring the will of the people; in support of the indefensible, not wanted, no needed, colossal waste of billions they want to get loot rail into Clark County.

It's the same steaming pile of lies and rank hypocrisy. It's just got a different name in there.

In Today's despicable effort, they spew all this garbage about the town hall meeting... including moronic lines like "Suddenly, the guy's got more gigs than a Nashville lounge singer."

OF COURSE HE DOES. HE KNOWS HE'S DAMAGED HIMSELF BEYOND REPAIR, BUT AT LEAST HE'S GOT TO TRY.

When this rag writes: "Yet for all the effort Baird has devoted to resurrecting his image as the congressional king of public town hall meetings," Baird hasn't put a 10th of the effort into this that this despicable rag has.

This paper is punching our puff pieces to rehab this moron's image like movie tickets. They have, and will continue to, do everything they can to keep their boy in office, because the last thing this waste of trees wants is a Congressman who will look at them and offend THEM (By failing to do their bidding) the same way that Baird has offended US.

This paper's lies on his behalf prove, once again, that we, as a community, would be far, far better off without them... and Baird. It is my earnest hope that BOTH of them go down into their well-earned oblivion... and soon; the paper into bankruptcy and liquidation; the Cowardman into political history as the leftist slimeball that Don Benton warned us about.

Brian Baird: Coward (VIII) He's finally having a Town Hall Meeting, and his PR firm (The Columbian's) spin action.

.
Well, Cowardman Baird is finally going to face a crowd. Many of them will be out of district, if not out of state, shills brought in to show bogus support for the Empty Suit's Health Care plan; Baird will continue to lie about his position on this issue (He will vote for it if the Belle of Botox tells him to... and she will) and he will get massive, positive coverage from the despicable rag that is our local newspaper... so they can begin the process of burying Baird's little indiscretion, wherein he referred to me and millions of others as "Nazis" and "Brown Shirts," among other things as he engaged in cowardly, inexcusable conduct in avoiding his constituents in the face of the empty suit's efforts to further his socialist agenda.

Baird's public rehabilitation plan, orchestrated and implemented by that waste of paper known as our local newspaper, has already started. They printed alleged death threats, probably (I mean POSSIBLY) manufactured to help the Cowardman's image, today.

One, allegedly (I'm just cynical enough to consider the probability (I mean POSSIBILITY) that all this sturm und drang is being manufactured out of whole cloth) includes the viral "socialist" image of that waste of space running the country, embellished with a swastika in the middle of his forehead.
Of course, this kind of image could have been manufactured in Baird's own office. After all, anyone capable of calling his own constituents "Nazis" and "Brown Shirts" is capable of anything like this, as sick and twisted as he is.

The rag, no doubt, released this nonsense today to provide cover for their Cowardman's epic stupidity in handling all of this.
.
So, tonight, we'll see a dog and pony show full of mea-culpas by the Cowardman, as he strives mightily to put his despicable conduct behind him.
.
Meanwhile, as the wheels come off the Empty Suit's bus, many democrats will begin to peel off this sinking ship as, like the rats they are, the instinct for self-survival overcomes all else.
.
Politically, it's too late for the coward representing the 3rd Congressional District of Washington. Obama will be a dose of poison that will make Bush look like a piker in comparison, and tying this simpleton to Obama will be easy... and his political death knell. Combined with his utterly loathsome handling of this situation, and even with the Columbian working overtime to rehab his image, it's (thankfully) too late for Baird, and he will be gone in 2010.
.
I'll be at the Town Hall meeting tonite, it will be the first I've ever attended for Baird. I have to go, because we already know that leftist thugs will be present and accounted for, and all evil needs to triumph is for good men to do nothing.

Brian Baird: Coward (X) More of the Columbian's rehab effort for Baird.

.
Today's blithering idiocy?

Tom Koenninger has weighed in with his efforts. Tom, who no doubt has a "tingling leg" for Baird like that moron (Chris Matthews?) has a tingling leg for Obama, continues to avoid even any pretense of journalistic fairness or, for that matter, reality.

Koenninger and the rest of the upper level types at the local rag are totally in the tank for leftists generally. As I've shown from the last election, this disgrace of a paper ONLY endorsed democrats for EVERY open seat, from president on down.

Since Tom and the rest of the leftist thugs running that rag are completely in the bag for socialism and democrats (which is how they secured their gigantic B&O tax cut in the middle of this horrific recession and this state's $10 BILLION deficit) he predictably will do anything and everything he can to get his boy re-elected.

As I pointed out yesterday:
Baird will continue to lie about his position on this issue (He will vote for it if the Belle of Botox tells him to... and she will) and he will get massive, positive coverage from the despicable rag that is our local newspaper... so they can begin the process of burying Baird's little indiscretion, wherein he referred to me and millions of others as "Nazis" and "Brown Shirts," among other things as he engaged in cowardly, inexcusable conduct in avoiding his constituents in the face of the empty suit's efforts to further his socialist agenda.
Baird's public rehabilitation plan, orchestrated and implemented by that waste of paper known as our local newspaper, has already started. They printed alleged death threats, probably (I mean POSSIBLY) manufactured to help the Cowardman's image, today.
Can we even BEGIN to imagine what this scum rag of a paper would be saying had, say, Tom Mielke said something to offend?

Of course, since those running this disgrace to journalism AGREED with Baird's comments concerning Nazi's and Brown Shirts, they certainly aren't actually OFFENDED by our Cowardman's actions... so naturally, he's gonna engage in some of that leg-humping that makes our local paper famous among leftist aficionados everywhere.

Anyone who believes that a Cowardman voting for a bill he hasn't even read is "... a solid, hard-working and experienced voice in Congress for his district," has a screw loose. Baird's despicable conduct has disqualified him from representing the people of the 3rd District, and that's a message he'll receive loudly and clearly next year.

Dismiss his "exceptional legislative service?"

I spit on it.

His constituent services have been a joke; the man votes for bills he hasn't read; he insults and abuses his constituents... and this clown SUPPORTS him?

What amazing, rank, hypocrisy. And for someone who seems incapable of putting out a column that isn't infested with that particular virus, this one rises to the top.

More here if you have a strong stomach.

Brian Baird: Coward (XX) So... disagree with the Cowardman on video, and you're relegated to a "rant."

.
Leave it to that despicable roll of toilet paper to denigrate a Baird constituent... or anyone disagreeing with their leftist bent.

The Columbian continues to take credit for a video now all over YouTube as if they produced, directed and uploaded it. They did not.

That said, words have meaning. For example, when I characterize this worthless rag as a stain on journalism, that means something. So when this scumbag waste of pulp characterizes David Hedrick's lecture to the Cowardman during the Dog and Pony show at the Amphitheater as a "rant," that is a deliberate act, done to belittle Hedrick as these clowns continue to take a dump on the science of journalism in their quest to rehabilitate the Cowardman's destroyed image.

For most of the leftist scum, their leaders, including our Cowardman, our two US Senators, and that waste of skin destroying this country from the White House have never set foot in uniform. Their failure to serve speaks to a commonality of cowardice shared by most leftists who think far too little of their country to ever engage in the inconvenience of actually serving it.

This newspaper continues to mislead, and continues to counter the facts of the matter with their ongoing effort to get us all past the Cowardman's cowardly failure to face us by mischaracterizing Cowardman's efforts at damage control.

They wrote:
Kelly Love, Baird's district office manager, said Tuesday that more than 14,000 of Baird's constituents have either attended town hall meetings or participated in telephone town halls on health care reform so far, and about 200 have had the opportunity to comment. Baird has three more town halls and two more telephone town halls scheduled next week, she said. "It's why we have town halls, so people do have an opportunity to have their say."
This is, of course, a crock. When a few numbers are picked out of a bin at random; when 16 people out of 6000 on a phone conference are chosen to ask a question... that is nothing approaching "an opportunity to have their say."

I have written, called, stopped by the local office... and rarely have I ever heard back from the Cowardman's people.

If we can't "comment" in such a way that these morons can't hear us, then no, we HAVE NOT been "given the opportunity to have our say."

This garbage can liner knows that.

Yes, words do have meaning. And we can expect this despicable rag to both continue in their efforts to rehabilitate the Cowardman, and do additional hit pieces on David Hedrick.

In their efforts to resurrect Baird's destroyed political career and to support the fringe left policies that have had this rag circling the drain for so long; now, there is no effort to demonize they won't do... no "Joe the Plumber" effort beyond them.

So now, we can expect an in-depth investigation into every aspect of Hedrick's life as they desperately try to destroy him in their effort to lift up the Cowardman.

It's all a matter of time.

Brian Baird: Coward (XXXVI) Yet another in the series of Columbian rehab efforts for their boy Baird.

.
Our local paper has worked far harder than even the Cowardman to rehabilitate his image, and today is no exception.

Brancaccio writes for this clown like he owns a piece of him.

The latest effort? Excusing the Cowardman's decision to use his made-up death threat as an excuse to avoid facing us:
We've heard from many readers who said Baird should have never even mentioned the death threat, let alone turn it over to law enforcement. They say he was just using it as cover to get out of doing the town hall meetings.

But not turning it over made no sense to me.
Few things, apparently, do.

When you get to the point that Baird or one of his minions made it all up, the rest is easy.

IF this threat WAS real, the BEST way to handle it would have been TO turn it over...AND THEN NOT MENTION IT.

Good God, but our community is cursed with morons at our local paper.

You can bet that Baird had no idea this was winding up with the FBI. The LAST thing he'd want is what he got: that he made it up as an excuse to avoid facing us.

The reader at this point might ask something like: "Well, it doesn't say THAT anywhere, does it?"

Nope. Sure doesn't.

But unlike the Columbian, I am unable to suspend common sense and just go with the rest of the leftist tards and not draw the proper conclusion.

The FBI, we are told, did not deem the threat "credible."

What does that mean, exactly?

Well, it could mean there never was a threat. It could mean that their was a threat, but the threatener has vaporized. Or, it could somehow mean there was a threat, and the threatener is unable to walk, talk and/or is a quad amputee.

The standard for threatening a congressman isn't "credibility." The threat, credible or no, in and of itself, violates federal law.

In short, anyone making a threat (and let's remember, there were two such threats: spoken (left on a "message" to the "office..." oddly, a message we've never heard) and a fax) has violated the law, even before the issue of credibility enters into it.

But is it illegal or credible to threaten yourself?

Don't think so.

So, here we are.

We've never HEARD the "message" leaving the threat. We've yet to get an identification of the person BEHIND the "threat." And we get this additional idiocy from Brancaccio:
It's not Baird's job to figure out if it's real or not. Leave that to the professionals. He got this one right.
Of course it is. When you threaten yourself, you KNOW it isn't real. PARTICULARLY when you DIDN'T TURN IT OVER UNTIL AFTER IT BECAME THE EXCUSE TO AVOID FACING US... AND AFTER A BLOG BROKE THE STORY THAT THE COWARDMAN NEVER REPORTED IT.

If the threat was real, it's also not the FBI's job to determine if it's credible or not. That's a court's job.

But... no arrest... no trial... no conviction... PRECISELY like I and so many others SAID there would never be... and it adds up to Baird using the fake threat as an excuse.

Of course, Brancaccio isn't going to let this rest, is he? He's going to keep going after the story, since now that the investigation is closed, they will be more than happy to provide a copy of the file..... right?

Fat chance.

Brancaccio and the rest of the Cowardman Clown Posse want this put to bed now. They NEED this to go away.

Well, guess what: that ain't happening.

They have one month to get that file and report on it, or I'll FOIA it myself and break it here. But it's about time that blogs stop carrying the stain on journalism's load, that they get past their rank partisanship and end their efforts to rehab the scumbag Cowardman representing us.

Brian Baird: Cowardman (XXXII) So, the FBI is on the case?

.
Well, our local paper's ongoing efforts to rehab the Cowardman's tattered image hit the short term jack pot with an announcement that The FBI (duhn, duhn, duuuuuuuhn) has taken over the investigation of the made up death threat.

Actually, of note to this intrepid blogger is this first sentence in the story:
"An alleged death threat reported by U.S. Rep. Brian Baird at the height of last summer's furor over health care reform has been turned over to the FBI."
The paper uses the term "alleged" to describe the death threat. Now, why is that?

One wonders why that might be. Even more intriguing would be the Columbian's response to that question, since they visit this blog at least 6 times a day.

All that having been said, the case of the so-called (I like "so-called" better than "alleged," but I'm quirky that way.) death threat has apparently been sent to the FBI. Now, the question is, why would that be?

If I'm not mistaken, the method of delivery was via "a message left" through a phone call. So, the questions are: where's the phone log? What was the number? Was it a cell? Was it a pay phone? Do they still have this "message?" If so, why isn't the media playing it? Maybe someone would recognize the voice and turn the perp in, eh?

Here's a scenario: The capital police are hardly rank amateurs. Presuming they ever DID investigate this, they found nothing. But the guy IS a congressman, and they just can't come out and SAY they found nothing, so they punt it to the FBI.

Long ago, when I worked in a government office, both my boss and myself received a death threat.

My only response was to get a concealed weapons permit.... and, well, a .45. But I never stopped seeing people in my office, because, well, THAT WAS MY FRICKING JOB. Nor was the threat ever reported to the police or the media, since I could take care of myself, and my boss wasn't interested in "cheap political gain" like our local Cowardman.

So, here's the gist of it.

If the FBI doesn't arrest someone, Baird is toast. He'll be a de-nutted muffin anyway, for lacking the guts to face his constituency under ANY circumstances, EVEN IF THE DEATH THREAT WAS LEGITIMATE. But, no arrest come the ballot drop, and Baird will be looking for work elsewhere.

That the FBI now has this is meaningless and lends no more credibility to Baird's oh-so-convenient excuse then Baird's insistence on telling and retelling this tale for "cheap political gain" at a Rotary Club luncheon later.

I hear the chant faintly in the background:"The whole world's watching.... the whole world's watching...."

Brian Baird: Coward (XXXV) UPDATE: Now you see it, now you don't: and now you do: having read my blog, the Columbian puts the article back up.

.
Gee, will the wonders of constructive criticism ever cease?
________________________________________________________
I did a blog post on the latest effort by the Cowardly Columbian, the local stain on journalism, to rehab Brian Baird's cowardly image; an effort that blew up in their face.

FBI to investigate alleged death threat against Baird

An alleged death threat reported by U.S. Rep. Brian Baird at the height of last summer’s furor over health care reform has been turned over to the FBI.

U.S. Capitol Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider confirmed Monday that the FBI has taken over the investigation, which does not happen in every case. "Not every case do they jump in," she said. Schneider said cases can remain open for years, so a three-month investigation by Capitol Police is not unusual.

Lindsay Godwin, a spokeswoman for the FBI’s field office in Washington, D.C., declined to confirm or deny that the matter was under investigation. "If so, I can’t share anything," she said. She added, "We share information through our task force officers on a regular basis with the local police. We work hand-in-hand with local law enforcement."

Baird’s office declined comment.

"Capitol Police told our office that they wouldn’t be making any comment related to the death threat and nor should we," said Kelly Love, Baird’s district manager in Vancouver. "We will follow that advice."

On Aug. 6, as emotions ran high in the health care debate, Baird went on MSNBC’s "The Rachel Maddow Show" to say that a coordinated national effort to disrupt congressional town hall meetings on health care reform reminded him of the atmosphere that led Timothy McVeigh to bomb the Alfred R. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995.

He made a similar comment to The Columbian that day in explaining why he had decided not to hold town hall meetings during the August congressional recess.

Four days later, on Aug. 10, Baird’s staff reported that someone called his office in Washington, D.C., and left a message that said, approximately, "You think Timothy McVeigh was bad, there’s a Ryder truck out there with your name on it." The message was forwarded to Capitol Police, according to Baird’s staff.

Baird later apologized for his remarks, and went on to hold a series of raucous town hall meetings in his Southwest Washington district. But he incited a new flare-up on Aug. 19 when he alluded to the death threat in an offhand comment at a Rotary Club luncheon without explicitly explaining the reference. McVeigh used a Ryder truck in the bombing.

At the time, Clark County Republican Chairman Ryan Hart called the remark "just unbelievable."

Baird responded that his brief comment had been "taken out of context for cheap political gain."

On Saturday, Baird voted against the House Democrats’ health care bill.

The Internet has an extremely long memory. It can, on occasion, make up for the cowardice of our local paper.

This is one of those occasions.

Brian Baird: Coward (XV) The Slimy One and his political handlers at the Columbian justify his despicable Ryder comments.

.
Our local disgrace of a Cowardman doesn't know when to shut up.

That is not to say that I WANT him to shut up; after all, it's a political axiom of uncounted decade's standing that when the moron you're running against is bound and determined to commit political suicide, then you have to stand out of his way and let him.

The Columbian, however, continues to do everything they can to rehabilitate this worm's image, including giving him a platform to attack the local GOP.

You see, Cowardman, we are condemning you because we think you made it all up. You're such a minor-league back-bencher that there's no percentage in threatening you: you're not worth the effort.

So, what we're objecting to is your use of these bogus threats to excuse your despicable, unconscionable conduct wherein you called me and millions of others "Nazis" and "Brown Shirts."

When you say you've " provid(ed) an opportunity for more than 4,000 constituents to participate in the health care debate," you're a liar.

At the amphatheater, did 2800 people talk to you? Or was it closer to, say, 30? Those THIRTY got to participate... the rest of us got to listen.

Please don't tell us you don't know the difference.

Here, instead of apologizing for yet ANOTHER fringe-left whack job remark... "If there is a Ryder truck parked out front, it has my name on it," you're actually such a moron that you DEFEND it.

Well, here's one for you, Cowardman. Because of you, if the Congressional Gestapo show up, they're probably looking for me.

There is precisely ZERO excuse for your cowardly remarks and reaction to your "Great Leaders" scumbag plan to socialize medicine, much like there's no excuse for constantly lying about the fact that you HAVE made up your mind and you WILL support this despicable plan... you fake protestations notwithstanding.

You reference to McVeigh was yet ANOTHER effort to provide cover AND to make political hay out of these so-called "threats."

The only question is this: Did the Cowardman actually say this despicable thing? Yes or no?

Clearly he did. And after that, nothing he says is worth listening to... and this paper's constant effort to give this guy a platform is really sickening.

Brian Baird: Coward (XXII) John Laird will need kneepads before this is over.

.
John Laird, editorial page editor of Clark County's other democrat newsletter, HAS to be the most ignorant person employed (Gee... DO they pay him? And why would they rip themselves off that way?) in the paper business today.

Just last week, he stupidly called, not only for a 3rd political party... but a fourth, as well.

The stupidity of such an observation goes to the fact that there are already at least DOZENS of political parties already. That just goes to show that his limited powers of observation go beyond an inability to see 3 wheeled vehicles on the road.

But in today's revisionist history lesson, Laird addresses the later-day phenomena of the application of the word "Nazi."

Our bumbling leftist idiot writes:
First, August is shaping up as a real good month for the Nazis. I don't know when that bunch ever received more free publicity. Liberals/conservatives have repeatedly expressed vehement indignation at being called Nazis — wondering how any sane person could stoop so low as to invoke this horrifying reference — and then, often in the same breath, they turn right around and accuse conservatives/liberals of being, um, Nazis. Rush Limbaugh says President Obama's plan is like Hitler's, Nancy Pelosi mentions swastikas on the sleeves of town hall attendees, and the accusatory carousel whirls wildly.
Nothing like a little moral relativism to buttress your arguments, eh?

What say you run a google search on " Bush Hitler " (Remove the quotes) and bask in the glory that is 7,000,000 plus hits.

Certainly, scum like you didn't disagree with the Cowardman's contention that those of us smart enough to disagree with him (and most likely you) were, in fact, Nazis and Brown Shirt types.

Because you agree with him, you and your fellow scum have no choice but to defend him as part of your image rehabilitation program, referenced in Brancaccio's spew concerning Hedrick.

Let me remind you, idiot, that no one MADE our Cowardman get stuck on stupid. That was his doing and his alone.

No amount of your insipid efforts to defend this clown can change that... much like no amount of common sense can ever change YOU.

Then, you stupidly go on and act as if "shouting" is a latter day phenomena... when your fellow leftist scum have become legendary in their efforts to, say, shout down speakers on college campuses when they have the temerity to disagree with them.

You moronically write: "My second conclusion is that shouting out of turn is really catching on these days."

You scum have been shouting down those YOU disagree with for YEARS. Where's your whine about THAT?

The double-standard that inculcates you has so blinded you that you weren't even aware that many, many other political parties already exist.

Now, you write as if your fellow fringe-left scum haven't been trampling on our rights to hear others FOR YEARS, all without peep one from you.

But then, as for all on the fringe left... it's "different" when your side does it, right? You remained quiet throughout, KNOWING your side did this... and they did it unchallenged by you, moron.

Good God, but you are despicable.

Pat Campbell and Jim Jacks: residents of the moron zone.

.
Perhaps the only thing worse than the sophomoric and completely biased effort by our despicable rag of a paper to rehabilitate our Cowardman Baird's image are their incessant lies and propaganda about replacing the I-5 Bridge and bringing loot rail into Clark County.

To date, they have engaged in shameless propaganda and lies, including using bogus, unsupportable polling to support their position in their ongoing efforts to further their agenda, a campaign that puts the entire concept of "journalism" to shame.

So, today, we get another in the series of lies and bogus articles designed entirely to convince us that we actually want this crap pile, while beginning the obviously needed process of providing political cover for the morons that want this bridge, no matter how horrific the fiscal damage to our community.

Like every other article they've ever printed, the complete lack of an opposing view is obvious and contrived. The idiots voting for Tim "The Liar" Leavitt numbered in the thousands, and yet these scum made NO effort to find any opposition to the bridge?

Jacks can stare at a dog turd and hope it turns into a diamond, which is precisely what his exercise in flatulation accomplished with his nonsensical spewing of what 50 hand-picked businesses, the vast majority of which neither understand that a new bridge will do NOTHING for congestion OR freight mobility and the vast majority of which WILL NOT HAVE TO PAY THE TOLLS IN QUESTION, BUT WHO BELIEVE THAT BUILDING THE BRIDGE WILL TEMPORARILY INCREASE EMPLOYMENT, THUS TEMPORARILY INCREASING THEIR REVENUE as a basis to screw us, the rest of us who are FORCED to go to work on the other side of the river, something neither Jacks nor bridge sycophant Pat Campbell are forced to do.

And, of course, when people on THIS side of the river have to pay unnecessary and unwanted tolls to go to the OTHER side of the river, does it make it LESS likely, or MORE likely people will stay here and patronize THEIR businesses?

Kind of obvious, isn't it? As for me, I will do everything I can to avoid patronizing ANY business in Jack's district (mostly Vancouver proper) on the off chance that ANY of those idiots took part in Jacks' scam.

So, when a rookie legislator like Jacks tries to manipulate a situation with the willing complicity of our local stain on journalism, the Columbian; he needs to be much more subtle about a self-ordained an outcome, much like the moronic politicians need to be more subtle about screwing us.
"Build a new bridge and build it now."

That was the message from 47 of the 50 business owners interviewed by state Rep. Jim Jacks during his series of face-to-face meetings over the past couple of months.

Everyone from pizza shop owners to managers of large manufacturing operations told the Vancouver Democrat that time was money and if a new bridge would untangle interstate traffic, the price would be worth it even with tolls.
The problem, of course, is that this unneeded and unwanted bridge, which is, in it's entirety, ONLY being built to bring loot rail into Clark County; WILL NOT DO THAT.

IF a new bridge WOULD "UNTANGLE INTERSTATE TRAFFIC," even *I* might support it!

But IT WON'T!

So, what would be the position of these same businesses be if they knew they were being played? And note that even the new and improved (and allegedly cheaper) bridge design INCLUDES loot rail, BECAUSE THE WHOLE POINT OF THE BRIDGE IS LOOT RAIL.

And then, along comes a little worm in by the name of Pat Campbell.

Like Tim "The Liar" Leavitt, Campbell is one of the biggest cheerleaders for this monstrous waste of money. And here's today's STUPID remarks from yet another tax and spend politician who doesn't care how much damage he does to the local economy of it furthers HIS agenda.
What Jim Jacks has apparently found is that when you go out there and talk to folks they generally understand the need for the bridge and other community improvements. The negative folks who haunt these blogs and show up to some of the community meetings are quick to jump on anyone who disagrees with their views and demand proofs that they themselves can't provide for their positions. (Its a breath of fresh air when reasoned folks show up and challege[sic] us elected leaders to think outside the box for better solutions like those who are working for an East Vancouver BNSF quiet zone.)

Mr. Jacks and Mrs. Anderson are doing their respective jobs. If you want to be a representative, run for office. If you want to be a business reporter, go to journalism school and learn some ethics in the process.
Clearly, this moron wouldn't know "ethics" if they bit him in his "spend our money without asking us" ass.

It IS perfectly OK for people smarter than a rock ape to disagree with scumbag like Campbell without being ethically challenged; if anything, Jacks' ethics should be in question because he hand-picked people he bothered to ask, without bothering to ask ALL of us (something those affiliated with CTrans have got down to a science) if WE want this steaming crap pile, instead limiting it to people he knew would support his position.... people our local embarrassment would report about without identifying.

So, while violated ethics ARE at hand here, this despicable rag and Jacks bear the most guilt for that problem, and those idiotically blinded by their biases, like the idiotic Campbell, are the most guilty through their association with those who would ram this thing through without getting the approval of the people... kinda like, for example, Tim "The Liar" Leavitt.

You need fresh air, Campbell. The puke you spew stinks up the joint for miles, and has obviously damaged your pea-brain.
