It was, I suppose, only a matter of time until the newest AG, Sen. Jim Sessions, decided to end the charade of so-called "legal pot."
There has been no such thing in this country for decades, and until or unless the Congress changes the law, there won't be.
Former Doper-in-Chief |
Those who shilled it counted on the Pothead-in-Chief, a mass-consumer of the leaf who used the laws and Constitution of this country as his own personal roll of toilet paper during the entirety of the stain of his regime, to do what he could to keep it smokin', so to speak.
Well, he certainly couldn't disappoint his fellow druggies, now, could he?
So, bogus initiatives passed in Washington, where supporters literally lied this scam into existence, and Colorado and other places as the Doper-in-Chief sat on his hands.
As he remained silent, people who deliberately decided to ignore federal law began to spend a lot of money. Growing operations, retail stores and the like, all were a result of their unfettered greed.
Our own local betrayer, Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers became the GOP champion of the pot scammers. And she's made campaign bank from a grateful industry as a result, as well.
Well, here's the democrat group photo that resulted.
Now, it's no wonder that Rivers is out there whining; as the pot industry's mouthpiece, she co-sponsored the bill that cut the taxes on pot that we VOTED INTO PLACE... by at least 50%... 3 years ago.
Rivers, who also co-sponsored the democrat baby manufacturing for pay bill for this session upcoming, was instrumental in helping to lose the GOP majority in the Senate. As a result, she lost her chairmanship (thankfully) but now will show many more of her true leftist colors in this next session... as she tap dances over screwing us on our property taxes in the LAST session.
Feel free to take a quick look at all the pot money Rivers collected in 2016.
Big bucks.
Here's the deal, Senator: this is a FEDERAL FRICKING LAW.
You and the special interests that own you knew better. And now you join with your fellow democrats in complaining because those who own you demand it of you. Your owners stand to lose bank on this stupidity and that is too, damned, bad.
Tough noogies.
You want pot legal (of course you do, it's what you get paid for) then change the law at the federal level and stop sniveling about your idiocy here locally. But when it comes to jumping into bed with the democrats, this ain't hardly the time to start doing that if you EVER hope to get control of the Senate back.
Senator, you not only look awful, you're doing a lousy job of being a Senator.
But then, you knew that, right?
