Many... far too many... leave pragmatism out of their political equation.
That leaves emotion.
In hotly contested races, candidates seek emotional buy-in. Emotional buy-in, combined with situational ethics plus ignorance and over-generalization can frequently equal political hatred.
I had long since concluded that Trump was going to win. From about a month after he announced, I believed he'd win the nomination... and I believed he'd win the whole works at that point.
That was, for me, the pragmatic view, but in the end, Trump was able to accomplish a connection where and when it mattered that Hillary could not successfully do.
What we are seeing is the result of the equation above. People generally and the young particularly feel things so deeply when they emotional commitment has been made: team loyalty, boyfriend/girlfriend, brand loyalty, political loyalty. While the mode is different, the mean is the same.
Hillary's failure then becomes an emotional betrayal. They simply cannot understand how this could have happened because, due to their emotional commitment, they turned a blind eye to the corruption, the incompetence, the blood on her hands, her use of classified communications and her subsequent pathological lying about it.
It's not just a liberal thing. Had this turned out the other way, there would have been a variation on this same theme. Anger at a failed goal, failing to critically analyze the candidate you've committed to... that kind of thing isn't all that different from any other intimate relationship.
And if Trump fails to deliver, he can realistically expect the same thing to happen to him when it comes to the anger and hatred.
As a result, there's no time for unity. At this point, there's only time for recriminations and those hating the most refuse to stop and think that maybe their choice simply wasn't good enough to the people who mattered and those who actually showed up to the polls.
Now, attacks are taking place around the country as the tarantula wasp crawls over the tarantula looking fr a place to both sting it and then to place the egg... then this happens:
After all, the cities in question aren't going to pay for this damage... why should they care?
The irony of all of this is that the left crapped green nickels when Trump indicated he might not accept the outcome of the election if it didn't go his way.
You know... kinda like Al Gore?
Now, with the shoe on the other foot, these hypocrites are PAYING people to riot. PAYING people to block freeways and disrupt lives.
Why?
Because the governments of these cities and many of these states are "Baltimoring"these protests by providing these scum with their "safe spaces" where they can proceed to trash neighborhoods and locations who SUPPORTED THEIR CHOICES.
The rioters are punishing people who SUPPORT their politics... and every day, they reinforce the idea that voting for Trump was absolutely the RIGHT thing to do.
Meanwhile... Why is any of this OK? Where's the lamestream media outrage?
Here's the only thing that is going to change as a result of this:
We will arm ourselves more heavily. We are likely to shoot first and ask questions later.
The citizens of these cities will be less likely to re-elect the morons allowing this to happen and those who lost will be more isolated than ever.
Those behind this... Soros, for example... need to be arrested, tried and if convicted for these terrorist activities, be sent to prison for their actions.
Here's the thing, folks: if you were ignorant enough to oppose Trump in this election... you lost.
And your options are narrow: put up with it like those smart enough to oppose the worst president this country has ever known (Obama) have had to put up with it...or leave, like so many of these sniveling punk celebrities told us they were going to do... but who, of course, will not.
But you cannot keep this up indefinitely. Because at some point, we are going to push back.
And like the results of the election?
You will not like that at all.

When the wasp larva hatches, it creates a small hole in the spider's abdomen, then enters and feeds voraciously, avoiding vital organs for as long as possible to keep the spider alive.[1] After several weeks, the larva pupates. Finally, the wasp becomes an adult, and emerges from the spider's abdomen to continue the life cycle. These riots are taking place because these urban governments run cities that typically, overwhelmingly, supported Hillary and they simply cannot bring themselves to put a stop to this nonsense, damage to businesses and cars notwithstanding.
After all, the cities in question aren't going to pay for this damage... why should they care?
