Paulbot CCGOP up to their old tricks again?

I've been thinking about this since I read it on Lew Water's esteemed blog yesterday:  Clark GOP Playing Dirty Again?

Looks like the local Paulbots are being rather selective, again, and the local party seems to be actively getting involved in getting "their" people re-elected.

Here's the smoking gun email, apparently received by a rather select few:

Win your PCO race in ONE DAY — TODAY!
From: Christian Berrigan skyisthelimit.csb@gmail.com

Date:

Subject: Win your PCO race in ONE DAY — TODAY!

TO: You

PRECINCT: 000

LD: XX

ACTION REQUIRED: IMMEDIATELY

EST. TIME TO COMPLETE: 30 – 60 Minutes

Congratulations on your decision to run for PCO, we are grateful to have you with us as we continue to make an impact in our party and our government.

Now that you have taken this important step, you have one opportunity THIS WEEKEND to convince your opponent to voluntarily drop out of the race. We have a very successful way to make this happen with a phone call. Please pay close attention, then make a very nice, friendly and cheerful call ON SUNDAY to see if they will withdraw. This has already worked for David Hedrick and a few others. This does work and can be done. The general idea is to express the fact that YOU are EXCITED about running, and then ask them if THEY are also EXCITED to run. (Many people have been called at the last minute by the establishment and really could care less about running). You expressing YOUR excitement then asking them if they are excited is the KEY.
You can find your opponents contact information by clicking here:

Do not talk about this email. Do not forward this email. Just make your one call to your one opponent and be super nice and cheerful. You want to create a situation where THEY OFFER to withdraw.

Here is how you do your call (be cheerful and excitedsmile while you are talking on the phone):

Hi, is (xxxxxx) there?

Hi, my name is (xxxxxx), I live in the neighborhood and I wanted to talk to you because I guess you filed for precinct committee officer? (yes)

Great! Well the reason I called you is I was really excited about running for PCO, and so I filed also, and before I decided what to do I just wanted to find out…. Is this something you’re really fired up about doing too, or did you just file to make sure the seat wasn’t empty, or are you really excited about doing this? How do you feel about running for PCO?

(Many will say they aren’t that interested and if you want to do it that is fine with them. If they say they’re not really that excited and you can do it if you want to, then say this):
Oh, wow, well that’s great! Ok, well guess I could meet you and bring this withdrawal form thing and if you want to sign it, I’ll take it down to elections division tomorrow. Monday is the deadline for that I guess so I’ll just run it down there on Monday. What is the best time to meet you? (set up the meeting for Sunday if at all possible)

If they say no, they want to run, then don’t mention anything about withdrawal forms, just say OK great, well, I just wanted to know how you felt about it, so, I guess let the best person win right? (Just be really friendly and happy and don’t sound like you had a big agenda).

Here is where you can get the form they need to fill out.

When you get your form filled out and signed and dated by the person, then you need to make arrangements with Dan or Christian to get us the form. Please CALL us! Do not just email us! We will take the form down to the elections division on Monday. If you cannot call us or cannot meet us, then go to a Kinkos or Fred Meyer or Safeway on Monday and FAX the form to the elections division.

Elections Division fax number is: (360) 397-2394

The more unopposed races we have, the more we will all be able to concentrate our efforts on the rest! This is our chance to win 20-30 races in one day. Good luck tomorrow, let us know how it goes. This is gonna be fun!!!

Dan Poletti – 360-314-2704

The optics of this are terrible, and not just because they even will talk to a Stolen Valor clown like Hedrick, let alone uphold him as an example of anything positive.

Who is or is not running for PCO is none of the Clark County GOP's business.  And this kind of garbage doesn't help the brand.

Once again, this isn't about elective candidates winning in, say, for example, the legislature.

This is about Paulbots trying to expand their influence.  And it's just part of the reason why I loath them

As expected, Poletti claims there is a story coming that will "turn this on its head." LOL

I expect the usual Paulbot spin that will in effect dig them in even deeper.

They'll never learn ;-)

You two really crack me up. Hey, here's a tip: Why don't you spend less time making your asinine Paulbot jokes, and spend more time conducting a detailed, objective analysis of the differences between the pre-2012 CCGOP bylaws and those same bylaws as they exist today. When you're done, tell us all where the real concentration of power was then and where it is today. There are plenty of 'bots' out there, you're just looking in the wrong place. Try the bathroom mirror.

I just love the latest justification.

It's a conspiracy against grassroots by establishment Republican operatives in Seattle workign with establishment Republican operatives in Clark County to stack PCO positions by fraudulent online filings of people that do not want to be PCO's anyway.

If true, that doesn't explain the secrecy, the effort at getting an opponent to withdraw and if it is someone that doesn't want to be a PCO, so what?

Someone that does want it can still file and run by working the precinct and seeking t he vote. It is highly unlikely that someone not wanting the position would win over someone that does want it.

But you know Paulbots, they are always victims of a conspiracy by the "establishment."

a related story is at: http://thereaganwing.wordpress.com/2014/05/19/were-fraudulent-clark-county-pco-applications-filed-by-a-wsrp-operative/#more-26765

part of the story (got to link for the rest):
Clark County, Washington

by: Dan Poletti, CalledUntoLiberty

It appears that a Washington State Republican Party operative has been caught filing at least 20 online PCO applications on behalf of Clark County residents, some of whom had no intention of filing and gave no permission to use their names. Richard ‘Apollo’ Fuhriman, a lawyer and former Bothell City Council candidate who is apparently no stranger to filing for office from outside of his voting district has apparently expanded his operations to include PCO filings way down here in Clark County. On a day when the local chatter among establishment sympathizers has been on an email sent by Christian Berrigan urging PCO candidates to call their opponents in order to assess their level of enthusiasm, the real news story is that there was a very good reason for making those phone calls, namely, that several of those candidates never wanted to file in the first place.

Our search began with a funny message from a PCO who had never shown up for a meeting in two years who we questioned regarding whether or not she was serious about running again. The fact that this perpetually-absent PCO had filed on the first day possible, along with a number of other ‘Spectator PCOs’ had made us wonder why they were so prompt in refiling. In following up with her, she told us that she had never filed, nor wanted to file. What follows is the chronology of events that led to the discovery of what may be election fraud.

* (PCO 1) alerted us that she had sent an email last week stating that she did not want to file. She stated that she never gave anyone permission to file for her. She provided an email from someone named ‘Apollo’ (later traced to King County) who had solicited her application for PCO.
Fuhriman prior to indictment

Apollo

* The email address for ‘Apollo’, votegop@live.com, was used as the file email address for another PCO candidate (PCO2). That email still appears in the PCO rolls that can be found here . Upon being called by the elections office, PCO2 indicated that he had given permission to ‘Apollo’ to file because he wasn’t technically savvy enough to do it himself. He also mentioned that Ryan Hart, Jaime Herrera’s District Director and former CCRP Chairman, had also been involved with Apollo’s efforts.

*Christian Berrigan requested that the elections division determine if IP logs are available and he requested those logs. That request is pending.

*Elections emailed Apollo, and he returned their call. According to elections division, Apollo admitted that he had filed around 20 applications online and that he remembered filing for PCO1 specifically. He apologized profusely for mistakenly entering her information without permission.

Frank:

First of all, if I need you advice on how or what I write, I'll ask for it.

Don't like what I write... well, nobody makes you read it.

Second, I'm only concerned about outcomes. And frankly, given your abysmal performance in the most recent city council election along with that of your fellow travelers, the outcome to date has been abysmal.

You guys were supposed to be all that. You guys were supposed to be the Second Coming.

And frankly, I don't see it.

Third, given your bot experience, I must defer: when I look in the mirror I see a guy who has no difficulty whatsoever thinking for himself... which is how I came to despise the idiocy that sadly became Ron Paul.

Thanks for stopping by.

The problematic aspect is one of secrecy.

Do not talk about this email. Do not forward this email.

Gee. Why not?

I haven't checked yet, but I've got to wonder: how successful was this effort?

The Paulbot name thing should stop

"Paulbot"...I guess that's a step up from the "esteemed" Lew Water's and his full on enforcement of Godwin's Law the last time this came up. Which still places him with a personal chapter in the Universal Book of D-Baggery. At the end of the day, while we can agree on a multitude of issues, I will always find comfort in the fact the unimaginative "Paulbot" moniker was spoken by a dirty nasty Leg. Just Sayin :)
