Local fringe-left nutters are a queer group.
They are, for example, incapable of applying the same standard to all candidates... instead, implementing a double standard where the group they oppose always does the wrong thing and using an individual's money to further his or her political ambition is always to be condemned...
Unless...
Unless they're a democrat.
Local nutters around here insist on continuing the bogus claim that Madore "bought" his seat. Outspending Boldt about 3 to 1, democrat Boldt couldn't BUY a democrat vote to save his political life, and Madore clobbered him by a paltry 11,000 votes.
They always ignore the Tanner-Mielke race: Joe Spent about $40,000 of his own money on his race... and he ultimately outspent Tom Mielke by roughly 8 to 1. Leftists don't care that Tanner spent all that cash. They claim that Madore "bought" his seat but have said nothing about how Tanner, having spent so much more money than Tom Mielke could ever have hoped to raise, somehow... didn't?
That's just one of the signs of leftist hypocrisy. Madore outspends Boldt 3 to 1: buys his seat.
Tanner outspends Mielke 8 to 1... LOSES... and no one says a thing.
See, to the leftists, it wasn't Boldt's hated positions on the CRC Scam and tax increases that cost him the election. Nope, that had nothing to do with it.
It was ALL about Madore's money, because to admit that Boldt got his ass kicked shilling leftist positions would be to admit the unthinkable: that the people of Clark County just happen to hate the left's moronic policies.
Take local fringe-left nutter Dylan Normington:
Odd, that. He's all upset about Madore spending $300,000 on his own campaign.
I missed the post of outrage over the election of Microsoft Millionaire Suzan DelBene. DelBene spent a paltry $2.8 MILLION of her money on her election in 2012.
Who is she?
Why, she's the congresswoman from the WA 01.
And, of course: a democrat.
Not a peep about that from Normington. Even though, according to him, that "...is not democracy."
He goes on to (rather stupidly, I might add) ask the rather moronic question: "...but what if an uber-liberal dropped $5 million to change the make up of the county board?"
Then he, she or it would lose. Madore could likely match that, dollar for dollar. AND, hw would have the issues on his side. Thanks for asking... next?
It's the lies that reek. Combined that with leftist hypocrisy, and the stench is frequently overpowering.
And Pridemore is going to lose as well. No CRC Scammer will win around here countywide... likely forever.
Nor should they. And how cool is that?

The scariest part of this whole article is that a wealthy person like Madore is able to spend over $300,000 to finance his own campaign. How is a regular citizen who wants to run office supposed to be able to overcome that challenge? The typical Clark County resident doesn't have anywhere close to that amount of money to spend and they won't stand a chance against a wealthy person that basically buys his or her seat. The US Supreme Court has ruled that it would be ok for someone like Madore to basically buy the whole board of commissioners if he want to fund everyone's campaign. This is not democracy and we all suffer from the result. I'm sure that the Madore apologists think that it's fine for him to do this, but what if an uber-liberal dropped $5 million to change the make up of the county board? Totally legal under current law. And totally scary as well.
