The democratian complains that a newspaper litter tax...

... might be retaliatory.

Here's the thing:  I don't care if it is.

I believe that local government has a right to retaliate against those who attack it the same way those who attack it retaliate against government.

After all, where's this cancerous rag's outrage over the IRS handling over conservative groups?  That's a far more important issue than a piss-ant newspaper getting tweaked.

When a private entity lives to destroy those who make up our local government... lying, distorting, exaggerating, attacking at a DNA level with one-sided, fringe left propaganda... did they think for one minute that they could do that indefinitely and get away with it?

Were I a commissioner, I'd look at taking the democratian through eminent domain... to turn it into a garbage transfer station.

Since newspapers are, essentially, worthless, the cost would be relatively small, and the relief from their incessant whining, bitching and moaning would be essentially incalculable.

The local leftists would lose their daily democrat newsletter and free platform to trash those to the right of Mao... but so what?

I'd even go so far as to presume that it is IS "retaliatory."

If so, the commissioners deserve a medal... again... for standing up to scum who have the integrity of a skunk.
