She accomplished nothing in her abortive legislative tenure and has accomplished even less in Congress.
Tim Leave-it, the elected official with the least integrity in SW Washington, slapped her around like a rented step-child over her fake positions on the CRC and loot rail, and she folded like a cheap suit.
As I wrote at the time, it's because Herrera supports the CRC scam, to include generational tolls of as much as $110 a month to begin with and loot rail for this $10 billion project which will accomplish absolutely nothing except the economic destruction of many families and small businesses living on the edge... who will now be shoved over the edge because of this massive rip off that would make Al Capone blush.

U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler said Monday that she'll use a November ballot measure on a light rail sales tax to gauge the county's general feeling about paying for light rail on the Columbia River Crossing. The congresswoman's statement was quickly criticized by the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce.
The statement made by Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, referenced Proposition 1, which would increase sales tax to pay in part for operations and maintenance on a light rail extension from Portland to Vancouver as part of the $3.5 billion CRC project. The measure was proposed by C-Tran leaders, and it will go before those living in the C-Tran district only.
"It is unfortunate that the voters have not had the opportunity to weigh in until this far into the planning process, but now that their voices will finally be heard it would be a mistake not to listen," according to the Herrera Beutler statement. "I will keep fighting at the federal level for a new I-5 bridge, but if Proposition 1 fails, I will oppose any attempt to finance light rail into Clark County that does not win the approval of county voters."
Chamber President Kelly Parker engaged Herrera Beutler's office in an informal debate by email on Monday afternoon, knocking the first-term congresswoman about her interpretation of the measure.
Ultimately, Babs had it within her power to kill the funding for this abortion, but her support of the project never made that a viable alternative.
Her decision to base the common sense position on this scam on a vote that excludes tens of thousands of voters in Clark County... like me and Democrat Commissioner Marc Boldt... from having any say forces me to wonder: what about us?
I admit it: put a gun to my head and I'd never vote for that vacuous waste of space. But her cowardice in failing to hold open town hall meetings combined with her cowardice on the CRC scam guarantees this GOP family's vote for the democrat Jon Haugen, who leads with his opposition to this turd, and makes no bones about it.
Further, we, of course, do not need a new I-5 bridge. However, reduced to the representation of a moronic blithering idiot, we get babble like this:

So, what we have here is this simple idiot throwing a fit over the paint job of the Titanic after the passengers felt the bump and asked, "What the hell was that?"
There isn't a day that goes by that I'm not embarrassed that the people of SW Washington were hosed into voting for this fake Republican.
Her cowardice and lack of intelligence shame us all.
