Democrat insanity #32,133: "Government is the only thing we all belong to."

I can't make this stuff up.

I.

Do not.

Belong.

To government.

I believe Clint Eastwood said it best, the politicians work for us, not the other way around.

The aversion that Conservatives feel towards the word "government" and "social" (both having to do with society) borders on hysteria.

When I was growing up Mormon, I'd been indoctrinated against "strong language" - you know, words like shit and damn. These words caused me a viseral reaction and automatic condemnation against the people saying them. It took until I was in my 20s to break through the brainwashing.

Examine the source of your emphatic reaction to words.

Here's the "source" of my "aversion."

In January, 1973, I woke up one morning and discovered I was guarding a post on the East German Border.

There was snow. A lot of snow. There was barbed wire, mine fields, Alsation dogs. They were designed to keep people in. They would kill you if you tried to get out.

Many risked their lives to leave. Some didn't make it.

My "aversion" to the word "government"... out of control government... is that they can do things to us and take away from us... without our consent... and use any number of "justifications" to do so that actually boils down to arrogance... superiority... and the fact they typically view us as stupid people, not unlike sheep, while they cheerfully forget that THEY are supposed to work for US... Leave-it and Mussolini, in their own ways, are actually interchangeable.

All while they live in some sort of vacuum getting their pay increases, massive benefit packages and their multi-million dollar conferences... during this horrific economy where many of the rest of us have to eat cake, so to speak.

Democrats, generally, seem quite enamored of Thomas Jefferson.

Jefferson-Jackson Dinners and such... all while forgetting the philosophy frequently attributed to him that says something like "That government governs best, that governs least."

When governmental actions defy logic... defy common sense... abuse our freedoms... ignore our will... then you're damned right.

When government ignores the law, ignores Congress, acts irresponsibly and get's our own people killed in everything from Fast and Furious to Middle Eastern ROE's that would make MacAurthur spin in his tomb...

I have "aversion" to it.

No matter who or what party is in charge.

Examination over.
