There's a reason there hasn't been a vote on this horrific waste of money. The reason is clear: the majority of people in Clark County do not want it.
Democrats, of course, don't give a damn if the people want it or not, of course, because these clowns, to a man, ALL know better then the mere people they would govern.
Those sniveling the loudest about this massive waste of money that will be an economic black hole for Clark County, of course, will not have to pay these massive tolls they would jam down our collective throats... because none of them commute to work every day like the 65,000 they'll be extorting from if this piece of crap goes through.
It's easy for morons like these to rah-rah a worthless turd that will cost ten billion dollars or so. They won't be paying for it.
Pridemore, for example, apparently didn't get the message from his failed congressional campaign that his fringe left positions don't work.
So, what does our resident neo-communist have to say?
He's dead wrong, of course. The "planning and debate" started with this loot rail project getting it's ass kicked 70/30 at the ballot box.“This is a generational project. Fifteen years (of planning and debate) is long enough. Let’s get it done,” Pridemore said to rousing applause.
That, of course, is where the "planning and debate" should have stopped, never to start again without our permission.
And, since this is the WRONG project at the WRONG place and at the WRONG time, 15000 years isn't long enough.
And why Ginger Metcalf's babble made it into the rag is a mystery to me: who cares what the E.D. of the Downtown Mafia thinks or wants?
Moeller, aka "The Candy Man" who just recently had his signature tax increase destroyed state wide, sees compromise, of course, as doing it his way:
When any toll is unacceptable, then there is no compromise on that. But as Moeller went on to explain, he doesn't give a damn how badly the people stuck with paying for this steaming pile get hurt, because he ain't one of them... using the concept of OPM... other people's money:Like Pridemore, he said elements of the current bridge replacement plan such as tolling and light rail may dismay some, but compromise must carry the day.
“Let’s get it straight: No tolls, no bridge,” Moeller said, counter to notions floated by the “doubters, naysayers and, quite honestly, goofballs that somehow think freeways are free.”No one has, or can, argue that "freeways are free." Only a lying leftist scumbag would indicate that anyone has or does.
But if the price of this crap pile is tolls, then guess what, Jimmy? It should not be built.
"No tolls, no bridge?" Sounds good to me.
Which is precisely and exactly what we need.“We have to pull together. If we close our wallets, if we sit on our butts and let (others carry the argument)... we will lose that election in November. And, we will lose that bridge for another generation,” he said.
We need this gone for several more generations. One has to ask, Candy Man... how much of YOUR money are you going to dump into the lies and exaggerations of a pro-loot rail campaign?
Probst stupidly thinks it's government's job to provide jobs.
Probst will have been kicked out of office years before shovel one of dirt would get turned on the crap pile. And like his fellow leftists, he, too, doesn't give a damn about the commuters he's helping to screw.“It creates 20,000 jobs. That’s the most important part, for me,” said 17th District Rep. Tim Probst of east Vancouver.
And Jack's self-serving, unsupported "tour" of business that will directly make money off this project while the rest of us get screwed is as worthless as he is.
The lies there are simple.Vancouver Rep. Jim Jacks said 47 of 50 businesses he polled on a listening tour said they “desperately” want the project, citing frustration and dollars lost in current delays.
‘I’m fine paying a $3 toll for a (reliable) 15-minute trip,’ ” Jacks said one businessman told him.
Lie one: hand picked businesses, presuming his recollection is accurate, are meaningless.
Lie two: That anyone believes replacing the bridge will make any difference concerning trip length.
Lie three: That the toll will be $3.
And that's the problem. When the scum have to lie to get buy in?
That's why I oppose this project so much. That... and the horrific costs of ten billion or so... that when it's completed, it will make little to no difference in congestion or freight mobility and these clowns are gambling with my money... without asking.
Is it any wonder that so many people hate their government?

actually, the notolls losers themselves have said -- and put on their stupid signs -- "keep our freeways free." i don't know how much more straightforward of an "argument" you can get than that, kelly.
"Keep our freeways free?"
So, odd, isn't it,. then when I go over to their web site, that peculiar phrase seems to be missing. I admit, I've also never seen it that I can recall on any signs, either.
Each and every one of us that fills up our gas tanks in this state are paying 37.5 cents per gallon just to the state for the privilege.
Only a blithering leftist idiot like Moeller could proffer the idea that anyone talking about "free" is talking about anything besides not paying tolls for a project we don't want, don't need, can't afford and are not being given the chance to vote on because the Moeller's of our government damned sure don't want confirmation they can't ignore that we do not want this horrific waste of money built.
