When the Left eat their own: The Communist-like Termination of Juan Williams.

.
Look, I'm no Williams fan. Juan has frequently been cast as the liberal mouthpiece on the discussion group held on Special Report, The Factor and Hanitty... and for the most part, he toes the Leftist line.

And Leftists are very big on requiring strict adherence to their philosophy and agenda... or they tend to attempt (and sometimes succeed) to punish you (See the story on Madore, here.) for opposing their positions.

I have, on occasion, seen Williams attempt to defend the indefensible. And that can be infuriating. But when he came up on FOX and stated during a discussion concerning the bizarre and fringe left behavoir of Whoppi and Behar on The View the other day; when O'Reilly made the "mistake" of exercising his First Amendment rights to speak his mind, and like the programmed victims they are, these two fringe nutberger's threw a hissy fit; that He, Williams, had concerns in airports and on airplanes when he observed individuals dressed in Muslim garb.

What did he say that got him fired?

"Look, Bill, I'm not a bigot. You know the kind of books I've written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."

And the leftist's in airports and on airplanes don't?

The fringe left, of course, responds with "why would you have concerns over Muslims in an airport or on an airplane?"

As a result, National Public Radio, where Williams has worked with his fellow liberals for the past 10 years, fired Williams over his cell phone.

Ten years.

Fired.

Over his cell phone.

There's something quite gutless about that on one hand, but not entirely unexpected on the other, given the lack of courage the left frequently shows.

NPR screwed one of their own. And in the end... I believe that's going to cost them.

Huge.

Professor Jacobson has a better take over at his Le*gal In*sur*rec*tion Blog.
