A few days ago, I contacted Krogers, who owns Fred Meyers stores, and threw a fit.
The upshot is the bizarre idea that a store can show any price, no matter how ridicul;ous, and falsely claim that price to be their "regular price," so their "sales price" (which is also absurdly high) seems like a good deal... that is, $5.00 sale price for a $9.49 12 can container of Diet Coke.
Now, I really don't give a damn what these people charge. What pisses me off is that they LIE about the "regular price" in an effort to rip off people not paying attention like I do.
And my question is this:
If they're lying about this (and they are) then what else are they lying about?
