"Change we can believe in!" (VI) Obama flat out lied about lobbyists in his administration.

.
Look, I'm no more adverse to lobbyists then, well, Mr. Obama.

But the fact is that when he was out there pounding John McCain like a rented mule over the lobbyist issue while steadfastly promising a "clean break from business as usual," he was lying through his teeth.

The issue is not, to my mind, that of employing lobbyists in the Administration.

The issue is that The Empty Suited One lied to us. And if he lied to us about that little issue... what else has he lied about... and what else WILL he lie about?

Mr. President, you're a liar. Additionally, you're a hypocrite.

The leftists supporting you, condemning the Bush Administration for doing the same thing: they're hypocrites as well.

But then, there's always been a double-standard on the part of the left; much of the reason why I despise them is rooted in their perspective that it is OK, for example, to hire a criminal as Secretary of the Treasury and Housing and Urban Development.

This Administration isn't a month old and it's the most corrupt in the last century, save for the days of the Tea Pot Dome Scandal, and they make no bones about it.

But when Mr. Obama lies to us, has he has undeniably lied to us, it's somehow "different." Portland Mayor Sam Adams sexual relationship with a now alleged 17 year old boy is "different" then former Congressman Mark Foley's text messages.

Yet the stridently left remains mostly silent.

Because it's "different" when a fellow leftist does it.

Of this current issue of the lobbyists, dear reader, the facts are these:

Had Mr. Bush made such a promise during his campaign and then broke it so easily, so cavalierly and so quickly after swearing in, the leftists would have savaged Mr. Bush much more than they did. The names would have flown unceasingly, far more than they actually did, which was sickening enough, even when Mr. Obama engaged in those types of playground theatrics (By the time you're done, Mr. President, you'll be much more "irresponsible" then the "irresponsibility" allegation you heaped on Mr. Bush) and every day would have been a day of savage attacks and insults by every leftist alive, including the baboons running Congress.

The next fact of the matter is this: had Mr. Bush violated his campaign promise like Mr. Obama, his nominees would have undergone a savaging at the hands of the Senate that would have made the Spanish Inquisition look like a walk in the park.

The two criminals Mr. Obama nominated, however, did not and will not have to undergo such "gentle" treatment at the hands of the loud mouth incompetents who's leadership has led to the lowest Congressional approval ratings in the history of the United States.

The White House tells us "This government is very complicated." But Obama's lies are relatively simple and straightforward.

In November 2007, the Liar in Chief told his adoring fans thus:

"I don't take a dime of their money," he said, "and when I am president, they won't find a job in my White House."
Except you have, Mr. President. And they did, Mr. President.

And this somehow represents "Change! we can believe in?"

You are not just a despicable President, Mr. Obama. But you are also a despicable person. And I fear this country has already started to rue the day you were elected.

Obama is forced to bend firm rule on hiring ex-lobbyists
'This government is very complicated'

WASHINGTON -- Barack Obama promised that no lobbyists would work in his White House, part of a "clean break from business as usual." It hasn't quite worked out that way.

From the start, he made exceptions to his no-lobbyist rule. And now, embarrassing details about Cabinet-nominee Tom Daschle's tax problems and big paychecks from special interest groups are raising new questions about the reach and sweep of the new president's promised reforms.

Maybe he shouldn't have promised so much, some open-government advocates say. They're willing to cut him some slack -- for now.

On Jan. 21, the day after his inauguration, Obama issued an executive order barring any former lobbyists who join his administration from dealing with matters or agencies related to their lobbying work.

Nor could they join agencies they had lobbied in the previous two years.

However, William Lynn III, his choice to become the No. 2 official at the Defense Department, recently lobbied for military contractor Raytheon.
