When is lying to get elected "leadership and courage?"

I admit it.

I'm confused.

Don't misunderstand me, I've been seeing this a great deal over the past few years.  But the muted response to this variety of perfidy is what causes it to continue at an ever greater pace.

Since, perhaps, the president indicated that lying to tens of millions over Obamacare is not only acceptable, but expected among many other things, lying in politics has not only become routine and overt, it's become quite fashionable.

Now, instead of holding those who lie and manipulate us to get what they want accountable, we look at the much smaller picture... of the ends justifying the means.

If we like the outcome... we laud the liars.  We call their lies "courage and leadership."

I call it something completely different.  And as my disillusionment and cynicism increases geometrically with every betrayal on both a personal and professional level, I see the damage our disengagement allows... and correspondingly, aids and abets.

Tim "The Liar" Leavitt, Mayor of the Vancouver Soviet, lies to get elected.

Few cared.  For the downtown mafia and the democratian, it was the right KIND of lie, and thus, acceptable.

Scott Weber, County Clerk, ran on a platform of a lie, pledging his non-existent effort to de-politicize the position of Clark, removing it from the electoral realm to that of an appointed position.  He did absolutely nothing to do that, of course, growing to love the very high 5 figure income that he didn't have to do a thing to earn.

Few cared.  Those who shilled this clown absolutely don't give a damn that he lied to get elected.

To my ever-lasting shame, apparently, *I* care.

Marc Boldt lied.  Not really to get elected; after all, that "servant-leader" scam of his certainly comes under the broad heading of being subjective on the part of the constituency.

But Boldt lied to me, directly to my face, on the issue of an advisory vote on the CRC Scam.

But that was just me.  And who am I?  After all, he's my brother-in-law, so what difference does it make?

The state lied on the last gas tax vote:  they promised a great many projects to bribe the people into voting to screw themselves... and, of course, immediately whacked the project list, first, some 30% and then an additional 20%.

No one cared.  No one did anything about it.

Those behind the pot initiative lied their collective asses off, claiming that passage would result in $582 million per year into state coffers.

That was a lie, of course:  such a figure would require $80 in taxes or so per person, per year, living in this state... from the legal purchase of pot.

Which, of course, was never going to happen.

No one cared.  Instead of holding those people accountable, our State Senate cut their tax burden in half... to a figure reduced from merely absurd to the merely rediculous.

And most recently, Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers completely obliterated her campaign pledges, used to get elected... to oppose a gas tax increase or a tab fee increase, claiming in support of her stated position she used to get elected that "The people have spoken and I have listened."

And again, we get the Jesuit argument from those benefiting from her lies that effectively, the ends justify the means.

Kevin Tapini wrote a letter to the Reflector this past week praising River's "leadership and courage."

I responded this way:
Forgive me if I disagree.
There's a word, a descriptive term, for making a campaign pledge that clearly states you will NOT vote for a gas tax increase or tab fee increase... and then going ahead and doing that very thing.
It's not "courage." It's not "leadership." And given this letter's author, I do have to wonder aloud if your company will realize any benefit whatsoever, directly or indirectly, because of her betrayal of the voters of this district who made the mistake of believing her campaign promises and platform?
Of course, the issue here isn't taxes, per se'. The issue is using a pledge to get elected, only to break it when it suited you.
The issue is supporting steps to keep us from voting on this increase. The issue is failing to require a referendum clause in this package.
The issue is that Sen. Rivers, in addition to violating her campaign pledge where she indicates "The people have spoken and I have listened," only to turn a deaf ear to us when we reminded her of her campaign promises, then proceeded to do that which she had pledged not to do, in order to get elected.
The issue here is blowing a $500 million hole in our local economy, since this county has to send King County $700 million in gas tax to get $200 million back, for projects such as the $100 million waste of replacing the Mill Plain/I-5 intersection.
I would ask you, Mr. Tapani, would you deliberately cost your company $500 million out of a $700 million deal?
I don't think so.
While it may just be peachy for people you work with and for, as well as people who work for you, to lie to get a job, I take a somewhat different view. And absolutely nothing in your letter justifies her decision to abandon her district for special interests not unlike yours, come to think of it.
The next time she promises something, is there a sign of some sort she can hold up that says, "just kidding," or some such? A green light when she's telling the truth, a red line when she isn't? When are we supposed to believe her? When are we supposed to conclude she's lying?
If this is the "best" she can do, she should be recalled for incompetence in addition to her somewhat less than truthful approach to governance. Because no matter how much lipstick you put on this pig, Mr.Tapani, it's still a pig.
Mr. Tapani has yet to reply to my queries: no response to my question as to whether or not his company will benefit from Rivers' actions here which tend to indicate that, as a result, there will be some benefit to him...

... And some huge, inexplicable and inexcusable cost to us.

And the special interest scum just say, well, those in the Legislature should have fought harder for more money for the county...

...instead of saying "Those in the legislature should have done the right thing and voted their districts."

After all, isn't that what we sent them there to do?

Where's the "courage and leadership" in that?

Autopsy of the Madore Campaign

So, what went wrong?

How could a campaign that had absolutely everything going for it... that was going to, once again, "buy the seat," according to the scum of the fringe left, have failed?

Campaigns, particularly in a situation like this where most people have no idea what they're getting in Boldt, require two critical elements: not only do you have to define yourself, you must also, always, define your opponents.

David Madore had no difficulty in defining himself.  But in failing to define Boldt and Dalesandro, in failing to detail the damage either of these two will cause us... that's where his campaign went off course.

Well, that and the local GOP's disappearing act.

I know and have recited why either one of these two would be a complete and utter failure.

But my tiny voice in the midst of this cacophony was heard by far too few.

The "tweddle dumb and tweedle dumber" aspect of these two is obvious: both of these leftists have essentially the same positions on the issues confronting us: essentially, the WRONG positions.

One campaign, Boldt's, is born out of hatred... amply illustrated by the text messages I've been getting from my sainted brother-in-law.

The other, as I predicted, is born out of desperation and the inability of a democrat to win any legislative style seat county wide.

Look, at this point, we're stuck with Boldt.  Those as a percentage who voted for that creeper Dalesandro, will vote for him again.  The RINO's infesting the GOP will vote for Boldt and out of desperation and no one else being available on the ballot.

Chief RINO, Carolyn Crain, is already out there kissing Boldt's... ring, making the fallacious claim that he's a "Republican."

Where Madore went wrong was failing to have surrogates define these two.

The spectre of the CRC/Light Rail scam has not disappeared.  And when we needed Marc Boldt to join with Tom Mielke to fight that insanity, he was too busy voting with Steve Stuart to continue that agony, while he laughed at every effort we made to put an end to it.

His incessant increasing of our taxes (property taxes 5% higher when he was booted out of office than when he went in) higher sales taxes that he supported, higher unemployment that he caused, $200 million vaporized and his support of tolls and the CRC Scam... the twin killers that cost him office in the first place.

His decision to violate the Constitution by implementing his gun confiscation law at the local level, even after I warned him... his illegal transfer of county money to a vendor to make sure his wife got paid...  the democratian won't remind anyone of these issues, of course.

Nor will they point out the many similarities between these leftists:

Both rabid CRC Scammers, both could care less what the people want... a twin version of the Steve Stuart school of thought:

After all, Boldt voted with Stuart constantly... and look where that got us.

The problem?

Madore spent a lot of money telling us who he, David Madore, is.

But he didn't seem to spend a penny telling us who Boldt or Dalesandro are...  and with the short attention span of the voters, they needed to be reminded of all Boldt has done to us and all either one of these clowns will attempt to do again.

They are the political children of leftist hatred.  And the people needed to be both told... and reminded... so they would not do what they actually did: vote in ignorance... vote on what they believed was the old Boldt... what the former Representative Boldt used to be instead of what he morphed into... and the failure of the Madore campaign to remind us all what Boldt did too us instead of for us is why, I believe, Madore lost.

There were any number of ways to accomplish that messaging: the leftist running had that ability to begin with, as that was both the democratian's and the C3G2 hater's quest.  It's what Lying Lefty Lou Brancaccio lived to do, as well as his winged monkeys at C3G2.

Neither Boldt nor Dalesandro didn't have to do a thing to define Madore: the leftist haters handled that for them,.

Meanwhile, the local GOP who has kicked out Boldt for his leftist proclivities, sat idly by and did nothing to counter any of it.

Strange, isn't it?

Having no idea of any of the internal workings of the Madore campaign, no knowledge of voter ID efforts, GOTV efforts or polling, I can't go any deeper into it.  But I am absolutely stunned that he could not see this outcome coming and change his campaign tactics accordingly.

Meanwhile, the local RINO's, the Bogers, the Crain's and that ilk, rally to their fellow leftist's cause.

And the ultimate goal of local leftist haters is realized.

(UPDATE:  By the way, whoever is commenting on this on behalf of Boldt or my sister-in-law, anonymous comments ain't gonna cut it.

You got something to spew to me, feel free to provide enough info to identify yourself.

Otherwise, you're wasting your ASCII)

Parallels: The Columbian/C3G2 hate group is to Madore as Hitler was to the Jews

I completely failed in my assessment of Boldt's campaign chances here and for that I freely take responsibility.  After all, even his most vociferous supporters have been attacking Madore for buying this election, right?  Because somehow, that's a "bad" thing.

So, I fell into the same trap I've tried to avoid, the now given that, while money might improve your chances of winning, it "buys" nothing.

Boldt himself started his campaign by lying about Tom Mielke's money... and these same people have no problem whatsoever with the huge amounts of leftist money in politics these days and, in this case, they were obviously wrong in their rather self-serving assessment.

That he will be as much of a disaster as county chair as he was as a regular commissioner is neither here nor there: as I wrote yesterday, there's no difference philosophically between Boldt and the Dwarf from Battle Ground, except, perhaps, Dalesandro's slavish devotion to Obama and fringe-left politics.

So, how did this happen?

There were two primary causes; today, we discuss partisan bigotry and hate as a driving political force; tomorrow we look at the one glaring oversight of the Madore campaign (Failing to define the leftist candidates) combined with the abysmal failure of the local paralyzed GOP to take part in this election in any noticeable way.

The tip of the spear is Lying Lefty Lou Brancaccio, the fringe-left clown who runs the daily paper and uses it freely as a weapon to bludgeon those wise enough to politically oppose his insanity.

Lefty Lou put all of the issues confronting the people of this county and this state and nation aside to spear David Madore on an almost weekly basis.

Lies and exaggerations were the order of the day for years.  Whipping up the useful tools of the left, a double standard of treatment, the consistent lie of a lack of bias on his part and correspondingly, on the part of that rag he runs: all were the order of the day.

And we can expect it to get worse as these same three likely run for their council seats next year and Lying Lefty, who will likely once again break his own shoulder patting himself on the back for this outcome, will see that in fact, his brand of hatred appears to be quite successful.

Meanwhile, I expect that RINO's and leftists will be chomping at the bit to take on an obviously politically weakened Madore.  And the slimeball running the rag will do all he can to make that happen and then provide them with, literally, millions of dollars worth of in-kind advertising to

The shaft of the leftist political spear are the useful tools of the C3G2 hate site.

Their commonality is that very word: hate.

They hate Madore and everything he stands for.  They hate that he wears his Christianity on his sleeve, precisely like Marc Boldt used to.

They'll deny it, of course, but the hatred they express in their editorials and the comments concerning him even exceeds local hatred of Bush in its intensity and depth.

They hate that he was instrumental in stopping their sainted CRC/light rail project that they would have cheerfully buried us in debt for decades to come as it blew a $100,000,000+ million a year hole in our county economy with ever increasing tolls starting as high as $8 a day... or roughly $2000 a year... to begin with... for at least the next 4 decades, much like Sen Ann "Gas Tax" River's gas tax will blow a $50 million hole in our local economy for the next ten years... a reminder that each motorist requiring gasoline will come to know oh so well over the next decade as every man, woman and child in Clark County today will be tasked to pay over $1500... each... to pay off the debt Rivers has brought us.

They hate that he approved the hiring of Don Benton to run the Department of Environmental Services... because they also hate Don Benton.

As a result, they hate anything he does, anything he's done and anything he wants to do.

For many of the issues, such as the cross-river transportation issues confronting and confounding the people of this county, these haters offer absolutely zero in the way of viable alternatives themselves, you understand and the fringe left desire to punish the people of our area for opposing their insanity is overwhelming.

Marc Boldt hates Madore because Madore defeated him for re-election.  His hatred of the GOP caused him to file for Precinct Committee Officer 3 years ago, be elected twice and never once attend any GOP function or meeting after being ejected from the party for paying junior democrat to Steve Stuart, a decision driven by pure spite.

That's what drove Boldt's involvement in the Freeholder process and his support of this successful effort to overturn the 2012 election.

Well, that and the requirement that he do two more years in government to max out his substantial pension.

The haters view Marc as a useful tool.  This go-round, he wasn't even endorsed by his friend Lying Lefty Lou, because they think so little of his skills and abilities.

I worked directly for him for 6 years and I can tell you that many have underestimated the man that Joe King once referred to as being "too stupid to be a state representative."

But the parallels with Hitler scape-goating the Jews are also impossible to ignore for students of history.

Hitler was a master of this type of politics; what I refer to as the Art of the Bright, Shiny Object politics.

While he was an anti-Semite, his philosophy was to find a group to blame for Germany's precarious financial and much-weakened-by-the-Versailles-Treaty military state.

He used that, in part, to shift the focus of the people away from what HE wanted to do, and having set up his straw man, towards that element of policy that the people themselves could use to unleash their natural inner-animal at an essentially helpless target.

He was a master at blaming others for what he was doing: the German invasion of Poland was set up by staging a fake attack on a German radio station just insider Germany's then border with Poland, dressing a few concentration camp inmates in Polish Army uniforms, killing them and scattering their bodies in the area; the burning of the Reichstag, an entirely Nazi production that he blamed on communists (his other foils) and the like.

Local leftists are masters of blaming individuals around here when their carefully laid plans to screw us go awry.

Molehill Moeller, for example, blames Benton and Rivers for killing the CRC Scam; zero introspection or mention of his own place in this drama of steadfastly opposing any compromise of any kind to get it built... absolutely unconcerned that the people of this county loathed the hated idiocy that would result in billions spent and a one-minute savings on the southbound commute.

But local leftists outside the political realm are much more likely to blame Madore.

They provided him zero credit when things went right and even attack his successes.  And the local print media, who hates him for not only killing off their CRC Scam, but, of course, for the humiliation of losing their "official newspaper of Clark County" designation.

Because hatred rarely allows room for reality.  And if you don't believe me, head on over to the cesspool of hatred fictionally entitled "Clark County Citizens for Good Governance."

At some point, these scum will wind up running out of people to hate.  Then they can actively begin the process of hating themselves, I suppose.

The only thing missing here so far is the round up of everyone to the right of Mao.

And that wouldn't surprise me terribly.

Meanwhile, on the substantive issues, there's no difference between Boldt and Daesandro, save for the fact that Boldt has long since sold out his principles to get elected, while Dalesandro continues to play the Kamikaze of the Left.

Both would do what they could to raise taxes.  Both would ram increased car tab fees down our throats without asking.  Both would ram property tax increases down our throats without asking.  Both would ram some version of the CRC down our throats without asking.

Because in the world of so many in the political realm, once you elect them, they owe you nothing.

At least Boldt didn't go out with his "servant-leader" scam this time.  That's progress of a sort.

But this outcome is, I fear, the result of a campaign with a gaping hole in it and I'll be addressing that tomorrow.

This could have been won.  But it wasn't.

Boldt and Dalesandro: two candidates exactly the same... who to choose?

Learned a lot from the last election.

The drumbeat of hate and lies to assassinate (politically) those you don't agree with is effective.  (Another subject coming up for another post)

Even the most well-funded campaign can fail if not properly directed (and this one is for the postmortem as well).

But now?

Now we have two candidates exactly the same.

Who do you vote for?

Well, I'm sitting this one out (I'll write-in Bruce Jenner, actually.  After all, we all celebrate diversity in our own way, right?) so this is a basic primer on the fact that these two leftists are stamped out of precisely the same mold.

With Boldt, you'll get lies, tax increases, rabid support of the CRC Scam or it's replacement, and a serious effort to make sure that the people are not heard on any of these issues, because, like so many of his ilk, what the people really want doesn't matter beyond what he can get out of it.

Your typical democrat is pro-tax; pro-choice, anti-people.  Boldt, who was rabidly opposed to abortion, obviously has changed his position on that as indicated by his acceptance of the Young Communists endorsement.  He also voted for property tax increases for 6 out of 8 years, and slavishly pushed the CTran agenda, including tax increases.

With Dalesandro, you'll get lies, tax increases, rabid support of the CRC Scam or it's replacement, and a serious effort to make sure that the people are not heard on any of these issues, because, like so many of his ilk, what the people really want doesn't matter beyond what he can get out of it.

We have the government we deserve.  And with these two, there's not a damned dime's worth of difference between them.

And if you think there is, just check out how giddy the local leftists are that Boldt was the top vote-getter.

Look out for "Deez Nuts," presidential candidate if you're a democrat.

Hillary Slapped By Deez Nuts In Minnesota

hillary-shocked.jpg
No, seriously.
Hillary Clinton's favorability has hit all-time lows this month, but the Democrat received perhaps the most troubling news on Tuesday: the people of Minnesota, a traditionally blue state, view Deez Nuts in higher regard than her.
Deez Nuts is an official presidential candidate as of a week ago. His entry into the race may prove to be problematic for the 67-year-old candidate according to a poll conducted by Public Policy Polling (PPP). [...]
The PPP poll found Deez Nuts pulls more from potential Clinton voters than Trump, 25 percent to 15 percent with 60 percent still undecided.
