I was forced to blow chunks, but I'm not sure if that was result of the flu or his speech or a combination of both.
This idiot gets up there and tells the bad guys how long they need to be in hull-defilade until we leave and things can go back to what they were before we went over there in the first place.

The delusion of Tim "The Liar" Leavitt continues: exempt locals from paying for the bridge.

Every time this liar opens his mouth, it reinforces what a colossal mistake the people of Vancouver made in choosing him.
"Stupidity" doesn't begin to cover it. With a campaign built on a lie (That Leavitt opposes tolls) he now segues into sheer idiocy as he positions himself to avoid confronting the 65,000 people in Clark County that HIS efforts, along with those of fellow traveler Steve "Cold Hard Cash" Stuart (Who helped run Leavitt's campaign and who also has been a rabid bridge/loot rail supporter, even though he's screwing 65,000 people in this county with his tolls) will cause to pay $1300 per year to BEGIN with in extra tolls in addition to the Oregon income tax they ALREADY have to pay.
Apparently, this idiot didn't get the memo: YOU HAVE NO SAY. The City of Vancouver HAS NO SAY. This, in fact, is as moronic as that asinine, last minute idiocy of jacking up everyone's property taxes over a three county area to pay for this monstrosity.
The now-confirmed ignorance of the local GOP, who carried this guy's water like Gunga Din, EVEN THOUGH DEMOCRATS UP TO THE CLARK COUNTY DEMOCRAT CHAIR RAN HIS CAMPAIGN, just serves to reinforce my decision to leave their ranks long ago.
Leavitt's sad lack of testicular fortitude, wherein he' lacks the guts to oppose this thing WHEN tolls are REQUIRED and WHEN WE ALL HAVE TO PAY THEM (except, of course, for this massive waste of money's biggest cheerleaders... who, oddly, won't be commuting to Portland and PAYING the toll every day) refuses to oppose this unbelievably criminal waste of money under any circumstances.
This blithering idiot doesn't get it. He doesn't understand that first, HE HAS NO SAY, and the ONLY issue is this: does he SUPPORT this criminal waste of money? OR does he have the balls to oppose it?
He doesn't understand that THERE IS NO MONEY AT THE FED TO PAY FOR THIS. He doesn't understand that WE DON'T WANT THIS GARBAGE HEAP. How is it that a Clemmens was out there? How many more are there? What can be done to make sure this never happens again?
This is a clear cut case of the system failing. The failures appear to have begun when Mike Huckabee commuted or otherwise reduced this guy's sentence... all the way up to the point where SPD Officer Benjamin L. Kelly, who punched this guy's ticket at the scene of a stolen car, stepped in and did what had to be done when this clown wouldn't stop on command.
But that this was a massive systems failure cannot be denied. Will subsequent investigations be substantive, or will they be the expected white wash, where the guilty will "Tiger Woods" this situation while taking cover and blaming others? (ala Huckabee)
In short, will the blood and the lives of these police officers make any damned difference?
Not in this state.
Years ago, the State of Washington wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars by resending registration renewal notices... they proceeded to send out 250,000 $1 checks... and untold thousands of one CENT checks... they then wasted $60 MILLION on a site needed to build a dry dock for the Tacoma Narrows Bridge... and who was fired for all of this? Who actually took the responsibility for screwing us?
Why..... no one.
Why even bother to ask?
Is THAT what we're looking at here? The "Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil" philosophy inculcated in our leftist-run government?

Four Police Officers were slaughtered in Lakewood today.
WA COPS GUNNED DOWN - 'EXECUTION':

Four officers were slaughtered in a coffee shop just outside McChord AFB this morning at around 8:30 AM. All were parents. All were sons and a daughter. All had been sworn to protect us.
They were sitting in a coffee shop, chatting while doing the mundane stuff they'd do most every day while getting ready for their shift, when it is alleged that a guy just walked up to them and started blasting.
Like our brothers and sisters in the military or those responding to fires or other emergencies, these men and that woman, joined with 10's of thousands of other men and women, took an oath to protect us.
For them and their families, this day started out like any other. Like millions of others of us who take the services of those sworn to protect and serve for granted, few of us gave any thought to the possibility of sacrifice, even after the recent assassination of Seattle Police Officer Timothy Brenton, I've taken their service for granted because it's always been there.
No longer.
When you see a police officer, a deputy sheriff, a State Patrolman, a firefighter... stop for a moment and let them know: what you're doing matters... and I thank you for it.
To the families and colleagues of Lakeland Police officers Sgt. Mark Renninger, Ronald Owens, Tina Griswald and Greg Richards, you have my sincerest condolences for your loss.
To all of those who protect us every day, thank you for all you do. It truly matters, and it's truly appreciated.

For those who have the short attention span required to follow this despicable crap pile of a newspaper, your attention is drawn to Lou Brancaccio's hypocritical effort of September 14 that, no doubt, was a direct result of getting his figurative head caved in as a result of the obvious bias, abandonment of anything approaching journalistic tenets and the supreme arrogance this rag uses as a corporate strategy to ram their agenda down our throats... without asking, of course.
The money quote?
As I pointed out at the time of Brancaccio's column of lies and hypocrisy:

It's no where to be seen.
In short, in Brancaccio's stilted world, WE should reign in how WE perceive and address the president, for example; but it's perfectly OK for HIS OWN STAFF to address ANYONE smart enough to disagree with Laird (which would include anyone with the intelligence and awareness exceeding that of my 13 week old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy) is treated in print like high-level morons.
As I've noted before, I haven't subscribed to this despicable waste of wood pulp for years. The questions they need to ask themselves are these: can we proposer and grow as sycophants of the fringe left? Is our survival as a paper best served by doing the bidding of an increasingly smaller segment of the population unable to think for themselves? Is continually assaulting our increasingly smaller credibility within this community the wisest course?
But most of all, does this course make it MORE likely, or LESS likely that those in the center and the right will actually fork over money to be abused in this way?
