The democrats bunker mentality. Are democrats in SW Washington feelin' it?
.
OK, for the left, the unthinkable happened.
For those who believe that democrats have no where left to go but up, I beg to differ.
The Massachusetts Miracle is but another in a series of repudiations of leftist and socialist idiation. The question is this: what are you democrats going to do about it?
How many times and in how many ways do you all have to be told "enough?"
At some point in your march to political destruction, shouldn't you stop and take a look around?
I know that not all of you are ready to march off the cliff into the ocean rocks below; both democrat senators Byah and Webb have become fond of holding that office. Both are suggesting that no funny business take place on the issue of seating Sen. Elect Brown. Both are suggesting that maybe, HCR should be slowed down.
Clearly, neither want to vote for it now. Neither are terribly interested in ending their career in politics like the German generals in World War II had to end theirs.
As someone opposed to most everything democrats as a party stand for today, I would ask: when do you put the people ahead of your party?
Politically, it's fairly clear that democrat leadership doesn't really give much of a damn about their member's re-election chances. The feeling seems to be that they must strike while the proverbial iron is hot.
The question remains: do the rank and file democrats at every level of government feel the need to turn themselves into Scott Brown-style road kill?
SW Washington isn't remotely like Massachusetts. Swing districts can now be typically written off to any competent GOP candidate, as the democrat president you so virulently supported has managed to throw you all under a bus.
Mindless loyalty in politics has pretty much been done. And the outcomes have usually been, well, bad. (Google World War 2 for a relatively recent example.)
I mention this because now might be a good time to bail on the projects and plans the people of this area do NOT want.
You know... like replacing the I-5 Bridge? Or bringing in loot rail? things like that?
Massachusetts most likely killed off any chance the d's had to repeat in the 3rd Congressional. Tying Obama supporters to Obama and the political leprosy he brings will just make it so easy.
Stonier? In the 17th? An Obama delegate?
She might as well withdraw tonight.
You get the drift.
So, democrats.... do you land the plane with the wheels up?
Or are you gonna fly it directly into the ground?
Ultimately, it's going to come down. The question is how hard, and how much damage is it going to cause?
And frankly, that sort of thing is up to you.... isn't it?

The people have spoken and repudiated the empty suit.
If I was a leftist, I'd start polishing my resume' because the end is nigh.
With Coakley conceding, the leftists ability to delay has just disappeared. Will they be smart enough to drop the games and bring Brown on board as fast as they would Coakley?
Nah.
And they're gonna pay and pay.

Barack Obama and his leftist minions must be possessed of THE "tinnest" ears in all of politics.
The rhetorical "hitting them upside the head with a club" couldn't be any clearer. Obama goes to perhaps the deepest, darkest blue state in the country to help a worthless candidate and what's the result?
She sinks even deeper.
There have been leaders in the past who allowed, not the "Audacity of Hope," but the arrogance of their vision to rule their actions. They almost uniformly met with death and destruction. One gets the feeling that if God Himself came down and told Obama he was on the wrong course, it would make no difference.
I'm not complaining, here, you understand. I'm merely marveling at the size of an ego that allows self-delusion to be the order of the day. My lack of complaint is based on the impending political destruction of those who've brought us to this.
I sincerely hope that the left continues to keep their eye so far off the ball that we'll LONG for the days of George W. Bush, who, while not the sharpest knife in the drawer, was at least smart enough to usually figure that out in time and at least TRY and change things.
But for the past year, our president (and as much as I despise the man's policies, he IS our president) has been earnestly committing political suicide much like a slug crawling down a razor blade.
Meanwhile, as a nation, we're left dangling. We're held in such outrageous contempt by the world because of our increasingly weaker political leadership... "leadership" that will be crippled tomorrow if all the polls are to be believed.
This experiment; of electing vision over experience, delusion over reality, arrogance over flexibility... has been an abysmal failure. All we have to show for it is death and economic destruction.
The question becomes: now what?

Update: InTrade, the laser accurate prediction market, has Brown up 7.4 (An increase from up 3.5 this morning) over Coakley as she fades fast.
InTrade, the phenomenally accurate prediction market, shows Scott Brown surging to a lead over Martha Coakley... his lead has more than doubled since 9:50 a.m. Pacific, up from 3.5.
Democrat consultants all over Massachusetts will be pouring gasoline on themselves and lighting it if Brown pulls this off.

Are the wheels coming off for the left in Massachsetts?

For the democrats, the never ending agony of watching Martha Coakley snatch defeat from the jaws of victory is almost comical.
Go on vacation 3 weeks before the election?
Check.
Have one of your goons flatten a reporter, only to have that goon turn out to be an Obama appointee?
Check.
Go to a fundraiser so you can get bought by 17 health care company lobbyists one week before the election? (You know, the kind Obama lied about while he was running?)
Check.
Insult hockey fans at Fenway by refusing to go out and shake their hands because it's too cold?
Check.
It is difficult o conceive of any worse way to run a campaign.
Of course, when you've got nothing to run ON, well, that does make it hard, doesn't it?
And tonight? Tonight, polling indicates that her Republican opponent, one State Senator Mark Brown, has now gone out to a 4 point lead.
