Take aways from the election: Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers is in trouble.

Readers have long known my position on the betrayal of the people of the 18th District by Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers, who lied about her position on gas tax and tab fee increases to get elected.

From her actual campaign web page:

Of course, not only did Rivers' support gas tax and tab fee increases, she voted for an emergency clause (Like gas tax and tab fee increases are an emergency) and did nothing about a referendum clause.

When asked, her own husband, Fred, told me that in the event of a vote on the gas tax, the people of her district would vote 65% no.

That... was an under-estimate.

Here are the current results from Clark County:

Clearly, then this betrayal crosses all political, age and gender demographics.

Rivers, for whatever the reason, lied to get elected.  Rivers, then, endorsed Boldt again, just like she did back in 2012.

And I guarantee you that her lies on this are going to be a campaign issue next year, because I am going to make them one.
