Here's the thing: ISIS has taken credit for the abortive attack in Gartland, TX; an attack put down like the rabid dogs they are thanks to the combined production of the First and Second Amendment and the men and women of the Garland, Texas Police Department.
So, now what?
Well, we know what should be done.
We also know that gutless idiot in the White House won't do it.
So, if you're ISIS, what do you do next, public posturing notwithstanding?
Well, they know our president is an incompetent coward. They know he lacks the guts to take the steps needed to blunt further attacks.
ISIS will now make bank in the Middle Eastern PR wars to rally the troops. Think in terms of al Qaida recruitment, post 9/11.
We take a public posture... the usual expressions of "outrage," the kind of puppet show that comes with the cowardly leader we're stuck with for the next twenty months.
ISIS, strategically, is likely to sit back and wait. They'll actually watch... and listen... and see if, in fact, the Cowardly Lion will do anything. Next... in the relatively short term, after he fails to act, again... they'll pick another soft target.
ISIS already knows our government and our president will lie to us at the drop of a hat. They are, for example, lying to us about the so-called "progress" being made against them in Iraq and that region. With a proven liar running the show; a modern day Baghdad Bob as president, their strategy likely will be to act in ways that will further discredit that moron and his band of idiots, further driving a wedge between the Administration and the people.
It will likely be bigger. Putting oneself in the head of a terrorist organization and taking a look at historical realities, there's a likelihood the target will be some gun-free zone, not protected by a police presence and where there's a building full of victims.
What kind of target fits that criteria?
Send 4 guys in their with automatic weapons and explosive vests. You know the rest.
Hurt this country to the very core of our being. Shock us to the level of our DNA.
That's what they'll want to do.
ISIS will revel in our pain, confusion and outrage. They will do all they can to keep their biggest ally in office, the end of his term notwithstanding.
I believe they misread the situation. I believe that they fail to understand us.
And that's OK.
The more Obama fails... and he will fail repeatedly, spectacularly... the more likely it is that he and his brand of government will face a destruction at the polls that will make the mid-terms look like a Crispy Creme grand opening.
Obama's inactivity... his failure to take the threat seriously... his failure to recommit combat troops to the area providing succor, finance and leadership for these operations (Does anyone remotely believe those two mental midgets in Garland who came from 1000 miles away planned, paid for and executed that idiocy on their own?) is directly responsible for this attack and the inevitable attacks that will follow.
This attack and the follow-on efforts is happening on Obama's watch. He has brought us to this... 6 years of ineptitude and corruption and cowardice unmatched in our Nation's history.
In reality, however, that's neither here nor there.
The question now is what can YOU do about it?
Understand that the Number One thing you can do is take responsibility for your own safety.
One of the many differences between the people of this country and the sheep of other countries is best summed up by Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto who is alleged to have said something to the effect of "You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass."

Clark County, Washington is the 38th most armed county in the United States and apparently the most heavily armed on the west coast.
In the face of these attacks, the number of armed citizens should double... and soon.
If you haven't served in the military or some other armed occupation, find out when you can legally use your weapon(s). Practice tactical firing. If you don't know what that is, find and take classes in the art of it.
Go to a range... a lot. Become completely familiar with your weapon so it becomes a part of you. Know it's safe operation and maintenance. If you have children, when they are old enough, teach them about guns....teach them what you have learned. Prepare them for the fight ahead. Teach them responsibility for themselves and their own safety. Make them self-reliant.
Get ammo. Lots of ammo.
Understand this: while few have noticed or felt it, the attack in Garland was a game-changer. And there are precisely 2 ways to deal with this: be under-prepared... or over-prepared.
I will always chose the later over the former. And so should you.
