Murray, with the assistance of the democratian, continues to practice the art of "Shiny object" politics. She frankly has done nothing for veterans and who was a disaster as Senate Veteran's Affairs Chair, sends out a press release babbling about the Veteran's Choice scam.
Readers here may recall my past experience with this idiocy, which is a permanent program designed to buttress the abysmal program that our state cow had direct oversight over known as the Veteran's Administration.
It's not terribly surprising that Murray would climb on the backs of the wounded veterans to get another self-flagellating press release out there: after all, the most dangerous place in the world is that space between Patty Murray and a reporter.
But to have Jim "Molehill" Moeller, a non-serving POG if ever I've seen one, babble:
For what, Jimmy?
What would you know about it? You never bothered to put on a uniform.
And that's just one of the many things I despise about Moeller. He's not involved in any way, manner shape or form, and he's got to jump in with this kind of crap?
That said, I was told today that, after my series of calls, I finally have received a referral to Veteran's Choice for my right hand. The 30 day window for a procedure being a pipe dream and the scheduled date for the surgery on my hand now being April 15.
The worker in Veteran's Choice when I called her warned me that it might take at least as long to find a doctor who will accept the hassle of Veteran's Choice in the local area as it would if I just stayed on the schedule for April.
That, of course, means that neither Murray NOR our cardboard cutout of a congresswoman, Jaime Herrera, have done a damned thing to be thanked FOR when it comes to veterans... or much else, either.
Remember, this is the same system that forces veterans to wait over a year, typically, to get a determination on their disabilities. The same system that charges $27 for a prescription anyone else can get for $10 at Fred Meyers among other places.
The same system that has caused veteran deaths.
Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside that those who never served get a better deal than those of us who have.
Meanwhile, my right little finger is slowly being pulled out of it's socket as the ligament continues to shrink.
Months go by. And nothing happens.
THANK You, Sen. Murray!
And drop dead, you fringe left partisan hack.
