Few political figures have done more damage to this community than Ms. Morris.
In everything from bending us over and selling us out to the Cowlitz Casino scammers to now, trying to bend us over and sell us out to her fellow democrats on the coup attempt masquerading as a charter, Morris has repeatedly thrown this community under the bus.
As a democrat, that sort of thing is to be expected. And as a former county commissioner, that kind of hypocrisy is inexcusable.
At the end of the day, if democrats controlled the commission, such as Stuart, Boldt, Pridemore or... for that matter... Morris, this sort of thing wouldn't even be under discussion.
Back in 2011, democrats Stuart and Boldt killed the charter effort, and local democrats recoiled in horror at the very thought of a county charter since they want to do all they can to keep the voters silent on their agenda... in this case, the CRC Scam.
As it is now, the democrats will win, no matter how the Charter vote comes out: if the Charter vote wins, they get their wish by, effectively, neutering the conservative majority on the county commission.
If the Charter loses, the unwashed masses of those of us who hate the leftist agenda for our community will temporarily lose our ability to directly impact outcomes via the ballot through a county initiative.
Meanwhile, the hypocrisy of Morris and the rest of the fringe-left nutters shilling this crap is simple: you heard not one peep out of ANY of them concerning this rape of our local government system while democrats were in charge. And you CERTAINLY didn't see Betty Sue Morris leading the charge to change anything when SHE was a sitting commissioner.
And here's the thing: if our current government structure was so great when Morris ran it, then her hatred of David Madore does not cause it to rise to the level where now, it suddenly and so dramatically needs to be changed.
The left rabidly supports this scam. The left rabidly supported our prospective rape through the CRC/Loot Rail scam. In fact, you would be hard pressed to find ANY of the leftist clowns who support this crap who opposed the CRC Scam, including Greg Kimsey who wants this garbage to pass because he has visions of being the county wide commissioner... or executive... or councilor... or whatever you call it.
Hypocrisy and partisan hatred. It's the bane of our political existence.
There's no excuse for any of this.
And as they waste their money on this effort, which is going to be crushed at the ballot box their polls tell them (Or rumor has it) along with Craig Pridemore (Who also sold us out to the Cowlitz Scam and was one of the fathers of the CRC/loot rail rip off) who is looking for both the big pay raise AND the uptick in his retirement.
So, the question is clear: do we allow an unelected, fringe-left bureaucracy to take away the authority those we elected to office 2 short years ago should rightfully have?
