The Kimsey/Stuart dream lays in ruin.

Ever the opportunists, Greg Kimsey and Steve Stuart's political marriage turned out to be a waste of time and democratian ink.

Kimsey's support of the CRC Scam not only would keep him from getting elected to a county executive position, it may well end his tenure as county auditor.

But this effort?

Democratic County Commissioner Steve Stuart, right, and Republican Auditor Greg Kimsey explained their proposal to reorganize county government at a lunchtime meeting of the Rotary Club of Vancouver on Wednesday.
The wholly-owned effort by the democrats to overturn the will of the people?

What’s our plan for regaining lost ground?
At a recent meeting of the fledgling local political action group Team ClarkForward (aka ClarkBackward) Mike Gaston, former chief of the local Republican Party, couldn’t help but boast a little. He noted that when he first became head of the Grand Old Party 23 years ago, Clark County was Democratic.

Has failed.

Odd, isn't it, that Kimsey's and Gaston's effort "served democrats?"

And that's the problem.

Greg's a nice guy outside of politics.  But inside of politics, he has no more idea what he's doing than he does on performing an abdominal resection.

As a county-wide elected RINO, I've never been impressed by him as politician.

Runs a good shop full of bean counters, but he's as GOP as my Cavalier Spaniel.

You cannot start by telling the world that you want to be elected to an office and then try and convince them that you're trying to make the office happen because it's the right thing to do.

Fortunately, he's been foiled.  And that's just too damned bad.

For him.
