Well, Lou "Psycho" Brancaccio has babbled about his faux outrage on the Benton hiring (never mind that the "fully qualified" Kevin gray had allowed the law to be violated for three years, according to a judge..) over 30 times in different articles in a lame effort to whip up the masses....
And the pit yorkie spewed his usual garbage about those of us smart enough to oppose, and now, apparently, finally kill his cherished CRC Scam.
But when it comes to this massive, overt violation of our rights... not even the assault on the Associated Press and James Rosen have stirred this blivet of a newspaper to come out swinging against their Master.
Even some leftist publications of note like the Huffington Post and Slate have been alarmed by these nazi-like tactics that have yet to permeate the Bobbsey Twins' consciousness.
Nope... they're much more concerned about venting their hatred of those opposed to the now quite dead CRC Scam and the two Commissioners who blew away their fair-haired boys in the last election.
Swing on by porn-aficionado Mike Heywood's local democrat party newsletter, and you won't see ONE WORD about ANY of these massive assaults on our rights.
Of course, their silence means approval... because even a lack of fake outrage at these efforts shows they support what that slimeball in the White House is doing.
Our local left is hard core. They are all about destroying our rights... as long as they stupidly believe those efforts will stop at the edge of THEIR nose.
Here's a lesson from the Germans who despised the nazism that the empty suited idiot in the White House is practicing.
First they came for the communists,If this was the Bush White House, these same scum would be losing their minds, individually and collectively. They'd be in the streets, blocking traffic and rioting like they did when Bush went into Iraq.

Well, Martin, I appreciate your position in all of this, moral relativism aside.
I oppose ANY unconstitutional action by government. And the entirety of the Patriot Act being far from unconstitutional, I absolutely support the repeal of any part of it that is.
That said, what the Administration is doing goes much farther than even the PA. Government data mining using bogus court orders for the Obama campaign?
Using the IRS to damage conservative groups and conservative groups alone, again for the Obama campaign?
The complete lack of transparency on the Benghazi issue? The lies, the cover up?
The lies about Obamacare?
Nixon was going to be tossed out on his ass for far less.
It's unfortunate that our fall back is that blithering idiot Biden.
And the fact remains: had Bush done these things... there would have been leftist rioting in the streets. Surrendering principle in the name of politics... practicing the politics of expediency... those are frequently terrible things.
If you run your engine on ideology and self-imposed morals, that's your business. I'm an engineer by training and temperament: goal-oriented, option-bound. Though I think the Patriot Act is a BAD idea, as long as it's the law-of-the-land, utilize it.

All morals outside law are self-imposed, Martin: for example, there's no law requiring anyone in a marriage to be monogamous (except in the military) so the choice to be that way is entirely self-imposed.
I studied Nazi Germany (and lived in Germany for 6 years) too closely not to see the parallels.
The idea that a law is in place, therefore, all activities a government may choose to undertake are legal was rather thoroughly disproven in Nuremberg in 46-47.
I disagree as to the hypocrisy allegation: I see a massive assault on the people by our government. I am speaking up against that assault.
Silence denotes approval. If there is hypocrisy here, it's on the part of the left's mostly yawning silence.

Simply state that the Patriot Act should be repealed and we're square.
