My oldest brother is a veteran. He served in the Navy a long.... long.... time ago.
He served on a ship off the coast of Vietnam and these awards have just now caught up with him.
They are, left to right, the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal.
He's 70 or so now, and suffered a catastrophic stroke in 2000.
He's my big brother, and I couldn't be prouder.
Here's to you, Mitch.
