They mean something. They have standards to live up to, and of particular note is the Four-Way Test.
It's supposed to be the set of guiding principles that all Rotary members are required to live by.
The Four-Way Test
The test, which has been translated into more than 100 languages, asks the following questions:
Of the things we think, say or do
- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Imagine my surprise when I discovered that Paul Montague, Executive Director of Identity Vancouver, is one of the chief shillers... and liars... supporting the scam of the CRC rip off.
Just tonight, for example, Montague sucked up to that lying blivit of a US Senator, even though he knows the truth:
Paul Montague · Top Commenter
I applaud Senator Murray's strongly worded message in support of the Columbia River
Crossing, the Columbia River Economic Development Council and economic development
in Clark County. Thank you Senator Murray.

Further, I know that he has personally and publically attacked the reputations of fellow Rotarians Tiffany Couch and Sen. Ann Rivers (Also Paul's fellow Rotarians) because of their opposition to the CRC project. Tim "The Liar" Leave-it is a member as well, I understand...and that's another reason to avoid the organization like the plague, given his year's long violation of each of those elements.
In short, Montague has frequently and repeatedly violated the tenets of Rotarianism. And yet, these people have made him President-Elect? How can other Rotarians be led by someone so incapable of following the Four-Way Test?
The next time you see or hear either Montague or Leave-it bash CRC opponents generally and fellow Rotarians specifically, ask yourself: is that what they mean by living up to the tenets of the Four-Way Test?
I wouldn't be caught dead in an organization that would have Montague, let alone have him as someone actually running it. And how sad is that?
