A compilation of campaign contribution data shows that nationally, the top 15 donors are led by casinos (including Indian gaming) and public employee unions (NEA, SEIU, AFSCME).

The National Institute on Money in State Politics and the Center for Responsive Politics collaborated to compile a unique view of the top 10,000 donors to political campaigns at both the state and national level. Their data is from state and federal campaigns, political parties, and ballot measure committees in 2007 and 2008.

Hey Kelly, I looked over those pieces you posted as artifacts and more often than NOT, those indian tribes DAMN SURE look like Californian tribes? Not Oregon... Even PG&E is a californian utility? Why would they be donated money and contributions into Oregon?

Only thing I can think of that PG&E would want from Oregon would be wind power sites and influence. PG&E stands for Pacific Gas & Electric and is a huge concern in Northern California and they bay area?

I already know that the unions in california give vast sums of money to their state and federal officials, but your stuff refers not to Oregon, but California?? -- Jeremy
