Another sign of the apocalypse: Hasan can KEEP his beard, AND the JUDGE gets tossed.

Given the opportunity, I would engage in that quaint old Japanese custom of boiling this scumbag to death.

But this decision goes to the heart of what's happening to the Armed Social Service of the United States (Formerly, the Armed Forces of the United States) until that empty-suited, anti-American racist bigot got into the White House.

Reading this re-enforces the wisdom of my success in talking my now 21 year old out of joining the Marine Corps and going into college, instead.  Between this, getting rid of DADT and this women-in-combat garbage, enlisting in the military is completely insane.

The rulings are moronic, politically correct bullshit, the same kind of thing that allowed this scumbag to keep his commission in the first place, when he actually wasn't good enough as a soldier to put air into a tire.

Judge off Hood case; Hasan shave order tossed

FORT WORTH, Texas — The military’s highest court ousted the judge in the Fort Hood shooting case Monday and threw out his order to have the suspect’s beard forcibly shaved before his court-martial.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces ruled that Col. Gregory Gross didn’t appear impartial while presiding over the case of Maj. Nidal Hasan, who faces the death penalty if convicted in the 2009 shootings on the Texas Army post that killed 13 people and wounded more than two dozen others.

But the court said it was not ruling on whether the judge’s order violated Hasan’s religious rights. Hasan has argued that his beard is a requirement of his Muslim faith, although facial hair violates Army regulations.
“Should the next military judge find it necessary to address (Hasan’s) beard, such issues should be addressed and litigated anew,” judges wrote in the ruling.
Hasan appealed after Gross ordered that he must be clean-shaven or be forcibly shaved before his court-martial, a military trial.
The court-martial had been set to begin three months ago, but it remains on hold pending the appeals.

The ducks have to be lined up just right because this is a precedence setting case. If this judge gets tossed and the next one STILL says, "cut off the damn beard or we will - you knew the regulations when you joined," then that's it. In the future there will be no question on the issue.
