Notes from the bizarro zone: Marc Boldt's campaign website.

Maybe  it's because, like the Miranda Rights, anything you say can and will be used against you, but imagine my surprise when I looked at Boldt's web site and I say precisely zero words about the CRC scam.... or tax increases... or vision of our future.

That's right, folks.

Wanna know where Boldt is on the CRC rip off? (Boldt, like any other democrat, supports the whole shtick: waste of billions on a bridge we don't need, light rail we don't want, and life-long, ever-increasing tolls we can't afford...) You're not going to find that information on Boldt's web site.

Wanna know where Boldt's at on investigating the multiple violations of law that formed the background for the CRC scam... for the past 7 years or so?  Not there.

Wanna know where he's at on increasing our taxes?  Not there, you won't.

In the past, (off his 2008 website) Boldt promised not to jack up our taxes:

 

It's unfortunate that he was lying, since he's repeatedly voted to jack them up.

His excuse:

As a result, we can increase the county portion of your property tax by 1% to offset the result. That 1% doesn’t begin to cover the costs. It’s only a $3 a year increase for most people. These are dollars to save our schools ... our jails. .. our courts ... our health department … social services … and much more."

Of course, there weren't any cuts in pay of county workers.  They didn't get rid of the hundreds of thousands being wasted on PAO's in the county.  County workers STILL don't pay the private rate for health care premiums... we take care of the difference.

And the idea that even the county portion of our taxes that he's been so busy jacking up would only, laughably equate to a mere "$3 a year increase?"

Absurd.

Why isn't he talking about that stuff?  He's clearly proud of all the support his fellow democrats are providing him... so why isn't he leading with his support of the CRC scam and the billions that's going to waste?  Where's his chat about his tax increases?

Why isn't he shouting out his support of the gerrymandered CTran taxing district that he was so instrumental in implementing?

After all, it only keeps 60 to 100 thousand of us from having any say over the tax increases he loves so much... but it naturally doesn't keep any of us from paying his tax... even without the right to vote on it.

It was Marc that, against my explicit warning, voted to unconstitutionally strip us of our weapons if the commissioners felt like it.

It was Boldt who voted to "lend" his wife's employer county money so she could get paid.

It's been Boldt who, while continuing to claim a Republican allegiance, Voted almost all the time with democrat Steve Stuart over at least the last 4 years... as if his alleged fellow Republican didn't exist.

It's been Boldt who has taken thousands of dollars worth of amphitheater tickets... far in excess of the $50 gift limit.

It's been Boldt who has doggedly supported the bridge replacement/loot rail/toll scam even in the face of the Oregon State Supreme Court decision ruling the whole thing to be a scam, and the CRC's institutional arrogance to eliminate public input... with no demand for investigation by Marc.

And, of course, it was Boldt who represents a commissioner district where 70% of those voting voted against him, sending the message that Boldt's representation sucks.

It's been Boldt who has refused to allow us the right to vote on these issues.

Why doesn't his web site talk about any of that?

I wonder.
