The short answer?
Yes.
The word is out on Brandon Vick. He shows up to meet with lobbyists wearing T-Shirts and shorts, he's disengaged, he's showing the same abysmal fund raising skills he showed in the last cycle, and many with money have met him and torn up the check.
In short, he's mailing it in. The House is freaking over his abysmal effort my sources tell me, and buyer's remorse rules the day.
A challenge from Cortes based on Brandon's terrible showing in this election would force Brandon to show the voters of the 18th what he's got, because head to head, I don't believe he can come close to taking Adrian in this election.
It would have been nice if the numbers had been closer. But this lead isn't close to insurmountable and Adrian's got the time to get this done. In discussions I've held with those in the know, they're chomping at the bit for Adrian to get back in.
And I hope he does.
