You remember a few months back don't you? The Bane of Clark County, responsible for the Cowardly Congresswoman now "representing" (using the term quite advisedly) us in Congress, Cathy McMorris Rogers (The developer of the idiotic three name congresswoman meme.... you know, kinda like Jaime Herrera Beutler?) was rather moronically floated as Romney's VP pick?
Had he made such a choice, I would have donated money to Obama; she's such a terrible, meddling public official. "Dodged a bullet there" as politicos are want to say.
Paul Ryan, on the other hand, seems to be the GOP version of Gary Locke. A policy wonk extraordinaire, he surfs the budget like most people use their TV remote.
He "sees" the cliff approaching. Will he be willing to push for the cuts needed to turn us away from the ever-closer edge?
Or will they lack the guts to do what has to be done: cutting Social Security, medicare, unemployment, federal payrolls, personnel; getting rid of public employee unions and the like?
Where has Romney shown that kind of courage?
Sigh.
