More Paulbot skull-duggery? A Paulbot effort to keep the Clark County GOP out of the PCO elections.

You know, it's amazing.

I'm told, from a variety of sources, that the insurgency underway where the Paulbots are trying to take over the party is spontaneous: completely unorganized and a result of an effort to install "conservatives" into party leadership.

Readers here know I'm not particularly enamored with the local GOP leadership for a variety of reasons, which are neither here nor there when it come to the Paulbot effort to eliminate the CCGOP's ability to exercise their First Amendment right to expend campaign funds or other funds as they see fit.

The First Amendment is one of the peskier parts of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  Note it's not the "First Suggestion."

It's the bedrock of the foundation of our democracy.

The Paulbots, with their "spontaneity" know that if the GOP does a mailer identifying them, for example, they will face disaster in the upcoming PCO elections because no GOP'er wants a Paulbot in office.

And the upcoming stunt they've tried to pull and likely will be trying to pull again this Saturday is just another in the series of reasons why I despise Ron Paul and what he's done.

I reiterate:  I am not a big fan of the current county GOP leadership.

HOWEVER, they got there fair and square.  The Paulbots would work to change that by amending the bylaws.

A source (and readers know I have many sources) got this to me shortly after the first attempt to run this scam.  So, as a public service, I'm offering it up to the reader so that when the Central Committee meeting takes place this Saturday, they'll be more fully informed of the depth and breadth of the mindset of the most active Paulistinians.
A RESOLUTION OF[sic] Clark County Republican Party

PROHIBITING THE CCRP AND ITS BOARD MEMBERS FROM ENDORSING AND/OR ADVOCATING OR CAMPAIGNING FOR OR AGAINST OR SPENDING PARTY RESOURCES CAMPAIGNING FOR OR AGAINST CANDIDATES IN THE 2012 PRECINCT COMMITTEE OFFICER ELECTIONS.
A bunch of "Whereases" follow that justify nothing in their attempts to stifle freedom of expression.

Followed by this nonsense:
Now THEREFORE be it resolved by the Clark County Republican Party Executive Board, that the CCRP and its Board Members shall neither endorse, nor advocate for or against, nor cause to allow party resources to be supplied to or withheld from one PCO candidate to the benefit or detriment of another, nor use party resources to advocate or campaign for or against any Republican Precinct Committee Officer candidate in a contested race for that office.  This resolution shall not be construed to restrict any board member from endorsing or campaigning as an individual for or against any candidate so long as such activity does not directly state or imply endorsement of the CCRP or any Board member(s).  Other than a board member personally campaigning without statement or implication that their candidacy or candidate is endorsed by the CCRP and/or Members of the Board, any such action by any board member shall subject them to the sanctions provided for under Article VII of the CCRP By-laws.
Earlier, I had made an attempt, unsupported by many, to stop the Board from endorsing in a PRIMARY.

PCO elections don't have a primary, of course.

In this instance, the question those in charge of the GOP here locally have to answer is this: should they make every effort to stop these whack jobs from gaining a foothold and vaulting their fellow nutburgers into some responsible political positions, or not?

Of course they should.

These people are NOT Republican, any more than Patty Murray.  They just decided to leach on a party that allows for a much larger, bigger tent.

Any effort to stifle free speech, while typical of the Paulbots, runs directly into my constitutional fist.

These clowns CLAIM Paul is all about the Constitution, and then they would trample that very document in their own typically self-serving, arrogant way.

Hypocrisy has never been a very attractive political plank.

Kelly,
I am here to inform you 1st hand that the local Paul supports have been trying for months to try an over run the CCGOP. I myself was solicited to run for PCO in my precinct so that the Paul supporters could try and have some, if not all, the influence they could in Clark County. As I have stated before, I was a Paul supporter, but have come to the realization that his liberty movement will have no effect on the RNC or the local GOP. For goodness sake the guys own son sold him out. He is leaving Congress after this year is over. As a ,FORMER,common sense supporter of Ron Paul, I have come to terms that the movement is D.O.A. These desperate losers have nothing better to do then kick the dead horse. I once again have to state that I am embarrassed to have ever been associated with many of them.

What exactly is a Paulbot? I always thought this pejorative referred to people who voted for Ron Paul. It seems like you are now applying it to people who voted for Rick Santorum now as well, since they are the ones who introduced this resolution. Would they also not be considered 'real republicans' in your judgement? Not that this is a surprise to anyone, but your 'sources' aren't very good, bud.

Dave, you seem to be hooked on that bizarre concept known as "reality," a rarity among those who have, or do, support Dr. Paul.

Which leads me to the question: what is a "Paulbot?"

Well, everyone may have their own definition, but here is mine:

A Paulbot is an individual typically politically ignorant, devoid of situational political awareness, who is completely taken in by the glittering generalities the "Revolution" provides.

A Paulbot seem unable to think for themselves. They appear to be taken in by catch-all phrases that frequently lead them, and those actually leading them, into believing that Paul has a chance to 1. Get the nomination when no such chance exists, and 2. even if nominated, he has better than a snowball's chance in hell of getting anywhere close to elected.

Throughout history, there have been radical fanatics who have been blinded by those with the gift of propaganda: democrats generally, Maoists, Nazis, Soviets and the like... not the rank and file, you understand, but those who manipulated the system so THEY could assume power and control over the very people they're persuading into doing their bidding.

In a nutshell, a Paulbot is unable to grasp the reality that Paul has no support, no chance, and no way to get elected, to become the GOP nominee, or to have any impact on the platform.

And that's the problem when your good ideas are simply overwhelmed by the idiocy and insanity of the bad ideas... like voting for gender-based abortion like Paul did a few days ago.

The result? Idiocy such as suing the GOP everywhere, claiming such garbage as "intimidation" and doing all they can to exploit the weaknesses in the system in an attempt to usurp the will of the GOP as expressed at the polls... all the while wrapping themselves with those parts of the Constitution that suit them while ignoring those other, somewhat pesky parts of it they DON'T like.

Conflicting justifications: it's organized, it isn't organized; it's spontaneous, it's planned.

They lie whenever and however it suits them, as long as they believe it gets them closer to the goal. They attack everyone, as they are now in their effort to depose every PCO that disagrees with them, because, well, as innately superior as they believe THEIR political positions to be, why persuade people to a point of view when you can just make an effort to get rid of them altogether?

At the end of the day, Paul has failed to win anywhere. On the local front, he's a later day version of Ellen Craswell... and we all know how well THAT worked out. Typically, his followers show that same level of intolerance, fanaticism and ignorance.

Recently, Lew Waters left a comment on the democratian web page that went something like this: "The only thing dumber then kicking a dead horse is betting on him." This was after the Paulbots were destroyed politically at the state convention.

The result?

Literally HUNDREDS of comments from Paulbots who attacked everything imaginable about Lew, from his age, to his military records, to his family... you name it. And the more I read that crap, the more I despised the reason for them and the man who causes people who follow him like Christ to act this way.

And yes, the turncoat Santorum types who were lead like lambs to the slaughter are also Paulbots, since, in fact, their manipulation at the conventions did absolutely nothing to further the aims of THEIR candidate, instead, aiding and abetting the idiocy of Paul.

Since you asked.

Sorry, JL, you want to address the issues?

Then address them. This isn't 6th grade.
