How sad is this? Sailors have to be ordered to cheer Obama.

.
We all know the president's disdain for the military.  His disrespect, his use of our brave men and women as political props, the blood on his hands as he allows politics to dictate strategy.

Well, the military knows it as well.  And here's a bit of evidence to support that, as Admiral Mullen, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, has to order these people to cheer.

Pathetic.

Rather tepid "cheering" too.

I actually rather think that it's more of a respectful silence. I grew up military and lived on base for my childhood and my father had always taught us about respectful silence when a leader walks in the room. Totally a military thing.

If it wasn't, why didn't the folks behind Obama start cheering as a cue or the guy in charge?

Thanks for stopping by.

I served (Army) for 14 years, and rarely saw any political figures. It wasn't sexy, I suppose, to come out to the East German border during the cold war.

The point of my post was that in comparison to, say, Bush, this guy lacks the militsimpaticotico.

I have seen literally dozens of vids with Bush in them. The military generally held the man in geaffectionection. When you get a second, check outyou tubeoutube effort as an example:

Few videos show the difference better.

The issue of "respectful silence" has it's supporters. But clearly, there is an issue here based on something else.... something deeper.

The president we have ha yet to connect with the military. If it were a Bush... or even, for that matter, a Clinton, the reaction would have been much different then the reaction to Obama.

Just sayin'.

Again... thanks for coming by.
