The democratian/democrat cover up on Jacks continues-MORE stupidity by the House Democrats?

.
As we head into day 18 of the local rag and the House democrats sitting on the Jacks debacle... aided and abetted by a deliberately silent, double-standard driven media, we discover this stupidity:

Wash. House Dems propose ending pair of tax breaks

More like this

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) -- The freshman Democrats in the Washington House have introduced a proposal to end a pair of tax breaks worth about $170 million to go toward K-3 education reforms.

The bill would close a business and occupation tax exemption for corporate banks and a sales tax exemption for out-of-state shoppers.

Supporters say this would raise $170.3 million in the next two years that could pay for education reforms that are currently on hold due to the state's $5 billion budget deficit.

Under Washington law, tax-related measures must be approved by a two-thirds vote in the Legislature. Democrats hope to garner bipartisan support from their Republican counterparts.

The proposal comes after several days of demonstrations against cuts to social services where thousands of protesters called for an end to corporate tax exemptions

The Stupidity?
.
These clowns just blow right on by the fact that the Tribes make hundreds of millions from their casinos... and don't pay the state a dime.

"Supporters" are lying.
.
It's much like when those morons raised cigarette taxes a dollar a pack last year... resulting in $10 million per month LESS then they did under the tax BEFORE they raised it!  (In fact, when I was in Idaho a few weeks back, I saw cartons of name brand cigarettes going for $33.75.  That's about $40 less then here in Washington per carton.  So, what's a smoker to do?)
.
They jack up prices without concern over the impacts.
.
You tell Oregon shoppers they can't be tax exempt any more, and watch the Oregon shopping segment disappear.
.
But hey... the morons in the SEIU will be thrilled... right?

The only thing you are missing here is the lack of enforcement of the tax laws against in-state businesses and individuals? :)

Yeah, now all they have to do is open up a whisper help line so you TOO can report and inform on your neighbors.

Kelly and Lew, do you remember the city of Vancouver city council under Royce about two or three years ago was proposing a per head and full B&O (business and occupation) gross receipt tax increase for businesses within city of Vancouver common city limits?

Sounds like a very similar idea.....
