As reported, Portland, OR is possessed of a true lying scuz as mayor; an individual that some report engaged in sexual activity with a then 17 year old boy.
That's bad enough, but what makes it worse is that when the allegations of his conduct began to surface during his campaign for mayor, he engaged in character assassination that goes beyond anything seen in a local election.
The problem is that every word he spoke or printed on the issue has been proven to be a flat-out lie.
This guy should be a media pinata. Had he been a Republican, you know that not a day would go by where this issue was not brought up and he, himself, skewered.
But it's different when you're a leftist... and it's certainly different when you're openly and proudly homosexual.
Part of the fallout has been the resignation of now 3 of Adams' staffers:
Nate Waas Shull joins former Adams press secretary Wade Nkrumah, who resigned; and Carolyn Becic, who had accepted but not started a job as Adams' education strategies director. This amounts to a hopeful sign that at least SOME staffers in Portland's government actually have integrity and character that Mr. Adams finds as alien a concept as monogamy.
Pulitzer Prize winning journalist NIGEL JAQUISS is the one primarily responsible for getting the story out; the Oregonian apparently had at least some of the same information, but not surprisingly chose to sit on it.

WW has learned that a third member of Mayor Sam Adams' staff is leaving in the wake of Adams' admission that he lied in 2007 when he denied having had sex in 2005 with Beau Breedlove when Breedlove was 18.
Nate Waas Shull, who held the title of Adams' Education Strategies Youth Coordinator, is leaving the mayor's office to join the Portland Schools Foundation. Before joining Adams' staff, Waas Shull had worked for former Mayor Tom Potter.
Waas Shull joins former Adams press secretary Wade Nkrumah, who resigned; and Carolyn Becic, who had accepted but not started a job as Adams' education strategies director. All three made their decisions after news broke last month about Breedlove and Adams, who took office in January.
Adams spokesman Roy Kaufmann confirmed Waas Shull's departure one hour after WW called for comment on the latest resignation. Kaufmann confirmed that by sending an email to all Portland media.
